Abhijeet slipped on his jacket, the crisp fabric settling onto his shoulders. He adjusted the collar, his eyes scanning the room as he began to get ready for another day at the bureau.

Next, he bent down to tie his shoes, his fingers deftly knotting the laces. Standing up, he smoothed out his pants and began to search for his watch.

The morning sunlight streaming through the window highlighted the dust particles dancing in the air, casting a warm glow over the room. But Abhi's focus was on finding his watch. He patted his pockets, checked the dresser, and even lifted up the edge of the bedspread, but it was nowhere to be found.

Just as he was starting to get frustrated, Purvi walked into the room, her hair tied up in a loose bun and a sly smile spreading across her face. She held out his watch, her fingers wrapped around it, and her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Purvi: Ise dhundh rhe the??

Abhi's eyes locked onto the watch, and he reached out to take it. But Purvi pulled her hand back, her smile growing wider.

Abhi's expression darkened, his jaw clenched in annoyance.

Abhi: Watch do meri..

Purvi: Itni bhi kya jaldi hai my dear hubby?

Abhi: Kya chahiye tumhe??

Purvi leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper...

Purvi: Give me a kiss...

Abhi: Are you kidding me? Tumhe lagta hai yahan mazak chal raha hai??

He thundered, his voice echoing off the walls.

Purvi's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure.

Purvi: Nhi doge??.. thek hai mai bhi tumhe tumhari ghadi nhi dungi..

Abhi's anger boiled over.

Abhi: Thek hai tum hi rakho...

he bellowed, his fist clenched.

Abhi: You're always playing these childish games. Can't you just grow up?

Purvi's eyes flashed with hurt, but Abhi didn't care. He was too angry.

Abhi: Jaa raha hu mai.

Purvi's voice followed him, her tone trembling.

Purvi: Jeet Ruko please...

But he was already out the door, slamming it shut behind him.

The sound echoed through the room, leaving Purvi standing alone, her eyes welling up with tears.

Purvi wiped away the tears and took a deep breath. She walked out of the room, expecting to find Abhi still fuming in the living room. But he was already gone. The front door was closed, and the silence in the house was oppressive.

But...Something sparked in her mind, and a sly smile spread across her face. She headed to the kitchen... She began to prepare lunch, the sizzle of vegetables and the aroma of spices filling the air.

Just then, a warm voice called out from behind her. "Purvi beta!"

Purvi turned to see Abhi's mother, her silver hair tied up in a neat bun, walking into the kitchen.

Purvi: Maa.. aap mandir se ho aaye??

A.Mom: haa.. lekin tum abhi tak Bureau ke liye ready nhi hui?

Purvi: wo maa.. jeet jaldi mai nikal gaye na breakfast bhi nhi kiya toh.. maine socha khud lunch banakr lekr jaau..

She chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

A.Mom: Oooohh.. acha hai waise iss khane ka swaad na uske liye aur badh jayega agar tum use apne haatho se khilaogi toh..

Purvi's cheeks flushed, and she looked down, trying to hide her grin.

She laughed, patting Purvi's hand.

A.Mom: Dekhna use bhut acha lagega yeh jaankr ki uski biwi itne pyaar se specially uske liye khana banakr laayi hai..

Purvi smile and nodded...

A.Mom: Acha tum jaao... bureau ke liye ready ho jaao.. lunch mai pack kr deti hu..

Purvi nodded, grateful for the help. She quickly finished getting ready, her hair tied up in a neat bun, and her clothes crisp and ironed. She picked up the lunch box, neatly packed with Abhi's favorite dishes, and tucked his watch into her bag.

As she was about to leave, Abhi's mother stopped her.

A.Mom: Pehle breakfast...beta aise khali pet nhi jaate..

Purvi hesitated, glancing at the clock.

Purvi: Maa..mai late ho jaungi..

But Abhi's mom was insistent. She pulled Purvi to the table, and began to feed her with her own hands, just like she used to when Purvi was a new bride. Purvi couldn't resist the loving gesture, and she smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and belonging.

As she finished eating, Purvi kissed her forehead.

Purvi: Take care maa... Sham ko milte hain..

She patted her cheek, her eyes shining with love.

A.Mom: You take care too, beta...aur haa yaad se use khaana khila dena aur khud bhi khaa lena.

Purvi: Ji maa...

Cid Bureau*

Purvi walked into the bureau, the lunch box in her hand, and a determined look on her face. She scanned the room, expecting to see Abhi at his desk, but he was nowhere to be found. She spotted Shreya and walked over to her.

Purvi: Good Morning shreya..

Shreya looked up from her computer, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

Shreya: Good morning...

Purvi: Wo abhijeet sir kahan hain??

Shreya: Wo toh headquarters gaye hain...unki meeting thi aaj commisioner sir ke saath so daya sir, abhijeet sir aur acp sir teeno hq gaye..

Purvi: Waise kab tak aayenge??

Shreya: Dupehr ko hi aayenge..

Purvi nodded, her mind racing. She would have to wait until Abhi returned to give him the lunch and his watch. And maybe, just maybe, apologize for the morning's argument.

Shreya: Waise purvi.. tum dono hamesha saath rehte ho ghar pe bhi... Ab kuch der ke liye gaye toh itna miss krne lagi huh?

Purvi's cheeks flushed, and she looked down, her eyes avoiding Shreya's.

Purvi: Wo.. aisa nhi hai wo bss unki watch deni thi..

Shreya laughed, her voice light and playful.

Shreya: Haa...haa watch bhi isiliye hi deni hai na.. taaki tumhare pas aane mai der na kare..

Purvi's blush deepened, but she couldn't help smiling.

Shreya: Waise do mahine ho gaye tum dono ki shaadi ko... Ab tak honeymoon pe kyu nhi gaye??

Purvi hesitated, her eyes dropping to the floor.

Purvi: Wo.. tum jaanti ho na.. maa ki tabiyat thek nhi rehti hai.. bss isiliye abhijeet unhe akele chhodkr nhi jaana chahte..

Shreya's face softened, understanding written across her features.

Shreya: Ohh acha..

Purvi: Hmm aur mai bhi unki iss baat se sehmat thi kyunki family pehle aati hai..

Shreya nodded, her eyes sparkling with empathy.

Shreya: haa yrr bilkul sahi..tum dono ki soch bhi kitni milti hai made for each other ho..

Purvi's smile returned, her heart warming at the thought of Abhijeet and their life together.

Afternoon 1:50*

The door to the bureau swung open, and Abhi walked in, his expression focused and intense. Purvi's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met, but Abhi barely acknowledged her before turning his attention to ACP and Daya, who were deep in conversation.

ACP was briefing them on a new case, his voice low and serious. Abhijeet's eyes scanned the papers in front of him, his brow furrowed in concentration. Purvi knew that look - it meant he was already deeply invested in solving the case.

Daya glanced at her and nodded, but Abhi didn't even look up. Purvi's heart sank, but she understood. Duty came first.

As the discussion came to a close, ACP nodded, and the team began to disperse.

Daya: Lunch time everyone...

Daya announced, stretching his arms.

Daya: Bahut zaada thak gaya aaj mai...

Shreya: Haa.. file chhod purvi.. chal lunch karte hain..

Purvi shook her head, her eyes locked on Abhi, who was still engrossed in the case files.

Purvi: Tum..tum log jaao mai baad mai aajaungi..

Shreya: Aree pr...

Daya: kya shreya tum bhi...bhabhi abhi ke saath time spend karna chahti hai aur...tum lekr jaana chahti ho..

Kajal: haa...Newlyweds need their privacy!

Purvi's cheeks flushed, and she looked down, trying to hide her smile. Shreya chuckled and whispered...

Shreya: Chalo thek hai...hum log jaate hain.. tum dono love bird's lage raho..

The team filed out of the bureau, leaving Purvi and Abhijeet alone. The room fell silent, except for the sound of papers rustling as Abhi continued to work.

Purvi took a deep breath, her heart racing with anticipation. She walked over to Abhi... the lunch box in her hand, and cleared her throat to get his attention.

Purvi walked over to Abhi, the lunch box in her hand, and cleared her throat to get his attention.

Purvi: Jeet??

He didn't look up, his eyes still scanning the papers in front of him.

Abhi: Sir... Senior hu mai yahan tumhara..

Purvi: Aur break time mai pati ho samjhe...

Abhi: Kya chahiye tumhe abhi..??

Purvi: Haa abhi hi toh chahiye..

He looked up at her.. she giggled..

Purvi: dekho... Tumhare liye tumhara favourite lunch banakr laayi hu.. chalo lunch karlo..

Abhi: Bukh nhi hai mujhe...

Purvi's eyes dropped, her heart sinking. She had been hoping to make amends, but Abhi's cold demeanor made her feel like she was still in the doghouse.

She placed the lunch box on his desk, her hand brushing against his.

Purvi: Dekho natak mat karo... Mujhse naraz ho pta nhi kyu pr chalo maan liya ho naraz...khaane se toh mat raho.. thanda ho raha hai khaa lo..

Abhi still didn't look up, his expression unyielding. Purvi's eyes pricked with tears, but she refused to give up. She pulled out his watch from her pocket and placed it next to the lunch box.

Purvi: Apni watch hi lelo...

she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

The silence between them was oppressive, the only sound the ticking of the clock on the wall. Purvi waited, hoping Abhi would crack, but he remained stubbornly silent.

Abhi's eyes finally flickered up, his gaze meeting Purvi's. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable. Purvi's eyes pleaded with him to forgive her, to see the effort she had put into making his favorite lunch.

Abhi's expression remained cold, unmoved.

Abhi: Tumhe sunayi nhi diya?? Kaha na mujhe bukh nhi..

Purvi: Please... Maine itne pyaar se banaya hai..

Abhi: Toh khud khaalo..ya bahar gali ke kutton ko khila do.. mujhe nhi chahiye tumhara yeh pyaar..

Purvi's face fell, her heart sinking. She felt a sting from his rejection, but she tried not to show it.

Purvi: Fine.. nhi khaana mat khao.. le jaa rahi hu ise mai wapis...

She said quietly, picking up the lunch box.

Abhi's eyes dropped back to his papers, dismissing her. Purvi felt a lump form in her throat as she turned and walked away, the lunch box still clutched in her hand.

Evening 6:40*

The bureau began to empty out. Shreya and Daya said their goodbyes, and ACP left for his evening briefing. Purvi packed up her things, her eyes drifting to Abhi, who was still engrossed in his work.

Finally, he stood up, his eyes scanning the room to make sure everything was in order. Without a word, he walked out of the bureau, leaving Purvi behind.

Purvi watched him go, a pang of sadness in her chest. It had been two months since they got married, but they had never really come together as husband and wife. The distance between them felt like an insurmountable gap.

She sighed, gathering her belongings. It was going to be another long, lonely night.

As she walked out of the bureau, Purvi couldn't help but wonder if things would ever go back to normal between them.

Time Skip*

Purvi walked up to the house, lost in thought. As she approached, she noticed Abhi standing outside, his back to her.

She reached him, he turned, his eyes meeting hers. For a moment, they just looked at each other. Then, without a word, Abhi pressed the doorbell.

Purvi's eyes narrowed, confusion and frustration warring within her.

The door opened, and his mother smiled, welcoming them in.

A.Mom: Are aagaye dono.. chalo andar aao ..

Purvi forced a smile, Abhi stepped inside, his face transforming into a warm smile as he approached his mother. He gently kissed her forehead, his voice filled with concern.

Abhi: Maa.. kaisi ho aap?? Dawayi li aaj aapne??

His mother's eyes lit up with affection, her hands cradling his face.

A.Mom: bilkul thek hu mai.. dawayi bhi leli thi maine.. tu bta kaisa Gaya aaj ka din??

Abhi: Thek hi tha...Just busy with work.

Purvi watched the exchange, feeling a pang in her heart. Why couldn't Abhijeet show her the same affection and concern? She felt like an outsider in her own home.

Abhi's mother turned to Purvi, a warm smile on her face, and kissed her cheek.

A.Mom: Aur tum batao...tumhara din kaisa gaya beta.??

Purvi forced a smile, trying to hide her true feelings.

Purvi: Ac..acha tha maa..

Mom (whispered): Aur isne khaana khaya tha na tumhara banaya hua??

Purvi nodded, feeling a pang of sadness. She had made his favorite dish, hoping to win him over, but he had rejected it.

Abhi's mother leaned in closer, her voice barely above a whisper.

A Mom: Tumne apne haatho se khilaya na??

Purvi's eyes dropped. She nodded her head, feeling a lump form in her throat.

A Mom: Jaao tum dono fresh ho jaao.. hmm..

They nodded and went in their room.

Time skip*

Dinner time arrived, and they all sat down to eat.

A.Mom: ek baat bta? Tu purvi se baat nhi krta kya?

Abhi: Kyu achank se kyu yaad aaya??

A.Mom: abhi thodi der pehle maine dekha wo tujhse kabse kuch keh rhi thi aur tu aise ignore kr raha tha jaise wo yahan hai hi nhi..

Abhi: kya hi baat karu mai isse maa...

A.Mom: Abhi...kitna bura laga hoga bechari ko aise ignore kr raha tha tu use...Agar tu ise wo pyaar de hi nhi sakta jo yeh deserve karti hai toh shaadi kari hi kyu purvi se..??

Abhi: Maine apni marzi se shaadi nhi kari hai.. aapne zabardasti karvayi thi... Majboor kiya tha mujhe...

The room fell silent, the tension palpable. Abhi's mother's eyes filled with regret.

A.Mom: thek hai maanti hu galti ho gayi mujhse.. pr meri galti ki saza iss bacchi ko kyu de raha hai?? Maine nhi socha tha tu iske saath aisa behave karega..

Abhi pushed his chair back, his face set in a hard line. Without a word, he got up and walked away, leaving his dinner unfinished. He strode to his room, slamming the door shut behind him.

Purvi felt a sting from his words, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes.

Purvi placed a comforting hand on Abhi's mother's shoulder.

Purvi: Maa kyu preshan ho rhi hain... aaj bss humari thodi si behas ho gayi thi wo isiliye aisa behave kr raha hai..warna wo bilkul aisa nhi hai.. bhut khayal rakhta hai mera aur pyaar bhi karta hai...

A.Mom: Pakka??

Purvi: haa maa ..aap jaanti ho na thoda sharmila bhi toh hai aapka beta...

Mom( chuckled): haa wo toh bhut hai..

Both women giggled, the tension dissipating.

Purvi continued, trying to keep the mood light.

Purvi: sach mai.. bhut sharmata hai wo..Lekin mera bhut khayal bhi rakhta hai aap khamkha chinta kr rhi hain..

A.Mom: Mujhe khushi hui yeh jaankr beta...

As they laughed and chatted, Purvi carefully avoided mentioning the truth – that Abhi barely spoke to her. She didn't want to worry his mother or make her feel guilty.

Time Skip*

Abhi lay on the bed, trying to drift off to sleep, when two soft hands wrapped around him from behind, pulling him into a gentle hug.

At first, he was shocked, his body stiffening in surprise. Then, he swiftly threw her hands off and sat up, turning to face her with anger etched on his face.

Abhi: yeh kya kar rhi ho tum purvi..??

Purvi smiled naughtily, her eyes sparkling with mischief. She didn't flinch, even as Abhi's glare intensified.

Purvi: Kya kar rhi hu matlb?? Tumhe nhi pta??

Abhi: apne yeh bakwas khel band kro...

Purvi's smile softened: Jeet hum dono ek dusre se pyaar karte the na.. fir achank se aisa kya hua jo tum mere saath aisa bartaav karne lage haa??

She come closer, but Abhi's hands shot out, pushing her away.

Abhi: Nhi karta mai tumse pyaar...samjh kyu nhi aata tumhe..??

He again layed down...Purvi's eyes sparkled with mischief as she reached out again. Abhi angrily sat up, his face inches from hers.

Abhi: Are yrr tum mai koi self-respect naam ki cheez hai bhi ya nhi... Pichle 2 mahine.. nhi 2 nahi pichle 5 mahine se tumhe.. avoid kar raha hu tumhe... daant raha hu.. fir bhi tum apni harkaton se baaz nhi aati... Sharm naam ki cheez hai tum mai ya nhi??

Purvi's reply was laced with naughtiness.

Purvi: Sharm? Apne pati se pyaar karne mai kaisi sharm??

Abhi's anger boiled over.

Abhi: Mai bss apni energy tumpar waste kr raha hu... you're a deaf...

He threw off the blanket and stormed out of the bed, heading for the couch.

Purvi giggled, her voice husky.

Purvi: Acha thek hai nhi...karungi pareshaan aajao wapis.. aajao na baby...

Abhi spun around, his eyes flashing.

Abhi: I'm not your baby.

He settled onto the couch, his back to her, but Purvi's whispered words carried across the room.

Purvi: You'll always be mine, baby.

The darkness seemed to vibrate with tension as Abhi clenched his jaw, his mind racing.

Abhi tossed and turned on the couch, unable to shake off the discomfort. Finally, he threw off the blanket and got up, padding softly to the bed to confirm that Purvi had fallen asleep.

As he approached, he thought she was peaceful, lost in slumber. But just as he leaned in to check, Purvi's one eye flickered open, sparkling with mischief.

With lightning speed, she reached out and grasped his neck, She pulled him by the neck, their faces inches apart. Abhi tried to free himself, but Purvi's grip held tight.

Purvi : mere bina neend nhi aarhi na??

Purvi whispered, her breath tickling his skin.

Abhi managed to break free, his expression stern.

Abhi: What's your problem, Purvi?

Purvi's face crumpled, tears welling up in her eyes.

Purvi: What's my problem? You're asking me? Tum mujhse baat bhi toh nhi krte ho.. batao toh maine kiya kya hai aisa jo tum aisa behave karte ho mere saath??

Her voice trembled.

Purvi: Tum.. mujhse pyaar karte the na?? Hum dono high school se ek dusre se pyaar karte the na? Tumne yeh baat kisi ko batayi hi nhi aur achank se aisa kya hua jo tumhara pyaar nafrat mai badal gaya??

Abhi's resolve weakened as Purvi's tears flowed.

Purvi: kya hua tha aisa? Batao na mujhe.. bss ek din achank se meri zindagi se gayab ho gaye tum bina bataye... No calls, no messages... Nothing... Jaante ho in 8 saalon mai kitna yaad kiya maine tumhe?

The room was heavy with emotion, the clock striking 2 am. Abhi knew he had to keep quiet, fearing his mother might overhear.

He turned away, lying down with his back to Purvi. But his mind betrayed him, drifting into the past...

Memories of laughter, whispers, and stolen glances flooded his thoughts. He recalled the promise they made, the love they shared, and the dreams they woven.

Abhi's heart ached, but he clenched his jaw, refusing to yield.

Purvi lay down beside Abhi, her tears drying as memories washed over her. Abhi's rigid posture softened, his mind slipping into the past.

Flashback*

Seventeen-year-old Abhijeet sat in class, lost in a book, his specs perched on the end of his nose. Suddenly, a melodious laugh filled the air, and he looked up.

A warm smile spread across his face as a beautiful 16-year-old Purvi walked in, chatting with friends. Her bright eyes sparkled, and her long hair cascaded down her back.

She glanced at Abhi, their eyes meeting for a fleeting moment. His heart skipped a beat. Purvi continued to her seat, unaware of the impact she'd made.

Abhi's gaze lingered, taking in her radiant smile and carefree laughter. He felt an inexplicable connection, as if their paths were meant to cross.

Days turned into weeks, and Abhi found himself looking forward to her bright presence in class. He'd catch glimpses of her, exchanging shy smiles.

Abhi walked down the corridor, engrossed in his book, when he accidentally bumped into someone.

Purvi: Ouchh... dikhta nhi hai kya??

Purvi exclaimed, rubbing her arm.

Purvi: Uf.. chaar-chaar aankhe lekr ghoomte ho.. [with specs] fir bhi nhi dikhayi deta ki koi samne khada hai??

Abhi's face flushed: S..sorry..

Purvi: kya sorry?? Agar mai gir jaati aur mujhe chot lag jaati toh?? You bookworm.

She snatched the book from his hands, scanning its pages.

Purvi: Dekhu toh sahi... Kya padh rhe ho tum?

Abhi watched, smiling, as Purvi's eyes scanned the text.

Purvi (laughed): Abhi hamara chapter 2 chl raha hai tum 10th chapter pr phunch gaye..

Purvi: Prime minister banna hai kya tumhe itna padhkr??

Abhi's cheeks warmed: agar tum chahogi toh zaroor bann jaunga..

Just then, a group of boys and girls approached, snickering.

Boy 1: Dekha purvi.. yeh idiot tumhare saath flirt kr raha hai...

Boy 2 (laughed): tumne khud ko dekha hai kabhi???The ugliest person in school, and you fell for the prettiest girl? Yeh tumse pyaar karegi?

Girl (chuckled): Sapne dekh raha hai dekhne do... sapne dekhna achi baat hoti hai..

The group erupted into laughter, even Purvi also laughed.. abhi's smile faltered, his heart stinging.

He felt embarrassed and humiliated. "Forget it," he muttered, turning away.

As he walked off, the laughter and teasing faded into the background..

Afternoon*

Abhi sat on the ground, lost in thought, when a group of boys and girls approached him. Purvi, was among them.

Boy1: Oye chasmish.. chal jaa mere liye paani lekr aa...

Abhi: Main kyu lekr aau.??

Boy 2: Training de rahe hain tujhe.. bade hoke waiter banega na tu uski training...

Abhi: Mai bada hokr kya karunga ya banunga yeh tum log kaise decide kr skte ho?

Girl: yeh bata kya teri mom maang kr laati hai kisi ke ghar se uniform...i mean itni purani..

They started teasing him, calling him names and making fun of his clothes. Abhi tried to ignore them, but they wouldn't leave him alone.

One of them poured water on his head..

Abhi: pareshaan karna band karo warna teacher se complain karunga..

Girl: baby boy karega bhi kya ya teacher se complain karega ya rote hue mummy ke pas jayega...

Boy: jaa karke aa complaint... jaa naa..

He pushed him to the ground. Abhi's arm got scratched as he fell. The group burst into laughter.

Just then, Purvi intervened..

Purvi: bss kro chalo yahan se.. teacher ne dekh liya toh punishment milegi...rehne do na ise..

The group backed off, and Abhi got up, his arm burning. He walked into class, still feeling the sting of the scratch.

As he sat at his desk, he noticed a bandage lying there. He looked around, wondering who could have left it for him. That's when he saw Purvi, who quickly looked away.

Days later, Abhi sat in the library, lost in a book. Purvi approached him, her footsteps quiet on the carpet.

She sat beside him, her presence unsettling his focus.

Purvi: Hi!!

Purvi said softly..abhi looked up, their eyes meeting briefly before he returned to his book.

Purvi leaned in, her voice conspiratorial.

Purvi: Sorry... jaanti hu mai hamesha tumhe preshan karti hu...lekin doston mai yeh normal hai...

Abhi's gaze lingered on the page, his tone neutral.

Abhi: Mai tumhara dost hu??

Purvi: Haa bilkul...

Abhi's eyes darted to hers, searching for sincerity.

Abhi: Really??

Purvi nodded, her hair bobbing: Really.

The library's silence enveloped them, filled with unspoken understanding.

Abhi's defenses softened, his heart opening to the possibility of friendship.

Abhi: Tumhe mujhse kuch chahiye kya??

Purvi: haa

Abhi took a deep breath, expecting a monumental request.

Abhi: Hmm...kya chahiye??

Purvi: meri mumma keh rhi thi ki agar maine iss baar 11th ke exams mai ache marks nhi laaye toh wo meri study chhudvakr meri.. shaadi kardegi...mai shaadi nhi karna chahti...tum toh study mai kitne ache ho..meri help kroge na??

Abhi's face broke into a relieved smile. He had expected something monumental, but this was simple.

Abhi: haa bilkul..

Purvi's face lit up. She ruffled his hair, pulled his cheek, and said...

Purvi; Thank you so much! I knew you'd help me...

She jumped up to fetch her books, leaving Abhi stunned.

He touched his cheek, blushing.

As Purvi returned with her books, Abhi composed himself.

Abhi: Tumhe maths mai problem aati hai na.. hum usi se start karte hain..

Purvi: Okk..

Their study sessions began, forging an unbreakable bond.

Few days later*

School, 11.40*

Lunch Break*

As summer vacations loomed, Abhi and Purvi stood face-to-face in the emptying school hallway.

Abhi: Yahan kya kar rhi ho? Padhayi nhi karni aaj??

Purvi's gaze held his, her expression serious.

Abhi held out his hand, pulling her toward the library. But Purvi didn't budge.

Abhi: kya hua?? Agar aaj padhne ka mood nhi hai toh it's okk..

Abhi asked, releasing her hand. He turned to leave, but Purvi grasped his wrist, halting him.

Confused, Abhi turned back.

To his utter surprise, Purvi hugged him tightly.

Abhi's shock gave way to gentle awkwardness. He patted her back, attempting comfort.

Purvi broke the hug, her eyes shining.

Abhi: k..kya hua..??

Purvi: 2 months baad milenge ab... Mai tumhe bhut miss krungi..

Abhi: it's okk.. tum mere ghar aasakti ho study ke liye...

Purvi: Kya sach mai??

Abhi: haa...mom subhe office jaati hain...shaam ko aati hain wapis tab tak mai akele hi rehta hu..

Purvi: Thek hai mai...aajaungi.. thanks.

Purvi's lips brushed his cheek in a gentle kiss.

As she walked away, Abhi stood frozen, hand on his cheek.

His eyes widened in shock, then softened into a blushing smile.

One week later*

Summer vacations, Abhi lounged on the couch, watching TV. His mom called out..

A.Mom: Abhiii.. bss tv mat dekhte rehna breakfast bhi krle..

Abhi: Mujhe bukh nhi hai abhi maa...

A.Mom: Thek hai mai...office jaa rhi hu khud... Garam karke khaa lena..

Abhi: Thek hai..

She left, and Abhi settled back into his show. The doorbell rang again.

Abhi opened the door, expecting his mom had forgotten something.

Abhi: Kya hua??

A.Mom: bss check kr rhi thi ki aage peeche bhi dhyan hai tera ya bss tv mai hai...

She said with a smile, before leaving again. Abhi rolled his eyes, shutting the door. He sat back down, but the doorbell rang once more. He opened and saw his mom again..

Abhi: ab kya hua??

A.Mom: wo mai kehna bhul gayi thi... Dhoodh garam kar dena aur pee lena aur haa.. khana yaad se kha lena..

Abhi: sunn liya hai maa maine...

He closed the door, flopping onto the couch. The doorbell rang again.

Assuming it was his mom, Abhi yanked open the door, prepared to vent his frustration.

But instead, Purvi stood on his porch, beaming.

Abhi's scowl transformed into surprise.

Abhi: Purvi..tum yahan?

Purvi: tumne hi toh kaha tha mai aaskti hu..

Abhi's heart skipped a beat as he stepped aside, inviting her in.

Abhi: haa aao na..

Purvi: thanks ...

Abhi: Betho..he said, trying to sound calm.

Purvi settled into the couch, looking radiant.

Abhi: tum...ku.. kuch khaaogi?

His nervousness betrayed him, evident in his trembling hands.

Purvi: nhi bss paani pila do..

Abhi hastened to the kitchen, his heart racing. As he poured water, his hands shook slightly.

Returning with the glass, he handed it to Purvi.

Their fingers touched, sending shivers down Abhi's spine.

Purvi sipped, her gaze never leaving his. Abhi's nervousness intensified.

Purvi broke the silence...

Purvi: Tumhari mom office gayi?

Abhi: h..haa..

Purvi: oh... Pta hai maine tumhe bhut miss kiya...

Abhi: Ohh...waise tum study krne aayi ho na??

Purvi: Obviously...

Abhi: Okk...toh hum room mai jaake pdhte hain..

He turned off the TV and guided her to his room.

As Purvi entered, her eyes widened in surprise.

Purvi: Tumhara kamra toh bhut saaf hai..

Abhi (chuckled): haa.. mai apna room hamesha saaf hi rakhta hu..

Purvi flopped onto his bed.

Purvi: wow.. mai nhi karti mujhe.. bhut aalas aata hai safayi karne mai...mom hamesha kehti hai.. kya hoga mera shaadi ke baad..

Abhi's voice dropped to a whisper...

Abhi: Mai room ke saath-saath ghar bhi saaf kar diya karunga agar tum mujhse shaadi krogi toh..

Purvi's eyes snapped to his, her face flushing.

Purvi: kya?? Kuch kaha tumne??

Abhi shook his head vigorously, feigning innocence.

Abhi: Nhi toh...kuch nhi..

Abhi's cheeks burned, hoping he hadn't revealed too much.

Purvi's smile returned...She opened her books, attempting to focus.

Abhi sat beside her, his heart still racing.

Their shoulders touched, sending sparks through his body.

As they studied together, Abhi found himself distracted.

Purvi's nose, eyes, lips, and cheeks captivated him.

Her hair danced in the cooler's gentle breeze, veiling her face.

Without thinking, Abhi gently tucked a stray strand behind her ear.

Purvi's gaze met his, their eyes locking in a tender moment.

Suddenly, they both looked away, feeling shy and awkward.

Purvi's cheeks flushed, her lips pressing together.

Abhi's face warmed, his eyes dropping to his book. He rubbed the nape of his neck, attempting to compose himself.

The air thickened with unspoken emotions.

Neither dared to look again, fearing the intensity of their connection. The silence between them pulsed with anticipation.

Finally, Purvi broke the silence, her voice barely above a whisper.

Purvi: abhijeet??

Abhi: Huh??

Purvi's eyes met his, sparkling with mischief.

Purvi: Help me with this math problem?

Abhi smiled, relieved, and leaned in to assist. Their shoulders touched once more.

As Abhi helped Purvi with the math problem, he noticed her gazing at him with a soft smile.

Their proximity made him conscious; he subtly leaned back.

But Purvi's hand reached out, gently pulling him closer.

Purvi: Abhijeet can i...

Their faces inches apart, Abhi's breath caught.

Purvi's smile faltered, her gaze searching.

Abhi: Can you what...??

Purvi's serious expression transformed into a playful grin.

Purvi: Can I have some snacks? I'm hungry.

Abhi exhaled, chuckling at the unexpected shift.

Abhi: Of.. ofcourse.. kya khaogi??

Purvi: kuch bhi chalega.. jo bhi tum laoge.. Pyaar se...

Abhi smiled, heading to the kitchen.

Abhi grabbed a plate of sandwiches and chips.

Returning, he found Purvi reclined on his bed, looking adorable.

Abhi; Here, hungry girl..

he said, handing her the plate.

Purvi: thanks...

She took a bite, closing her eyes in delight. Abhi watched, captivated by her joy.

Their daily routine continued, Purvi visiting Abhi's house every day except Sunday.

On Sundays, both their moms were home, unaware of the blossoming romance.

Purvi would tell her mom she was studying at a friend's house, while Abhi would say his friend was coming over for studies.

Their secret meetings remained hidden.

As they studied together, their hands touched frequently. Their gazes locked, lost in each other's eyes. The tension between them grew.

Two months of summer vacations were nearing their end. Abhi and Purvi were studying, but she suddenly asked...

Purvi: Can we take a break?

Abhi agreed, and they settled in to watch TV.

As they shifted positions, Purvi's bag slipped off the couch.

Abhi bent to pick it up, noticing a pink, decorated diary.

Abhi: Yeh kya hai??

Purvi's expression turned guarded..

Purvi: My personal diary...

Abhi: ohh tumhe diary likhne ka shonk hai?

Purvi: Hamesha toh nhi lekin..kabhi kabhi.. jab meri life mai kuch bhut acha ya bahut bura hota hai.. jise mai kisi ke saath share nhi kar sakti.. wo mai isme likhti hu..

Abhi: ohh jaise ke??

Purvi: agar bata sakti toh isme kyu likhti?

Abhi handed her the diary, his fingers brushing hers.

Abhi: Is there something recent?.

Purvi's eyes locked onto his, a hint of vulnerability.

Purvi: maybe..

Abhi's heart skipped a beat.

Did she write about their moments together?

Was he a part of her secret diary?

As they watched TV, Abhi felt Purvi's head gently rest on his shoulder.

Purvi: Abhijeet...Can I ask you something?

Abhi: haa??

Purvi: You love me, right?

Abhi's silence spoke volumes.

Purvi's hand wrapped around his arm, holding it tightly.

Purvi: Don't lie... Mujhe pta hai... sabhi ko pta hai school mai

Abhi's voice cracked: ha..haa matlb tum.. muj..mujhe achi lagti ho..

Purvi snuggled deeper into his shoulder.

Purvi: i love you.

Abhi's eyes widened in shock. He turned to face her, their gazes locking.

Purvi's eyes sparkled, her face radiant.

Without a word, she intertwined their hands.

He squeezed her hand, his silent confirmation. Their eyes remained locked, the TV forgotten.

The room dissolved into a warm, tender silence. Suddenly, Abhi's lips curved into a gentle smile.

Abhi: I love you too...

Purvi's face lit up, her smile mirroring his. Their hands swayed gently, a love-struck rhythm.

Abhijeet and Purvi's secret relationship blossomed, hidden from prying eyes.

One week later*

At school*

Abhi walked into class, lost in thought. He overheard a conversation that made his heart sink.

A boy teased Purvi...

Boy: Wow purvi... Tum shart jeet gayi.. aakhir tumne uss bookworm ko pyaar ke natak mai fasa hi liya..

A girl chimed in: haa...you made him believe you love him!

The group erupted into laughter.

Boy 2: toh...kb bata rhi ho tum use ki.. yeh bas ek natak tha..

Purvi seemed engrossed in writing, ignoring the conversation.

Girl 2: are yrr kya likh rhi ho tum? Sunn bhi rhi ho hamari baat?

Purvi: hmmm..

Boy 3: lagta hai ab ise bhi maza aaraha hai use bewakoof banane mai...krne do ise bhi thoda enjoy...

The group laughed, except Purvi, whose focus remained on her writing.

Unbeknownst to them, Abhi stood frozen, his ears burning.

His heart shattered into a million pieces.

He felt betrayed, foolish.

His love, his trust, all a lie.

Abhi's eyes locked onto Purvi, his expression unreadable.

Time Skip*

School dismissed, and Purvi scanned the crowd for Abhi.

She clutched a letter in her hand, eager to share. Just then a teacher come..

Teacher: Purvi.. beta abhi tak ghar kyu nhi gayi?

Purvi: wo ma'am.. wo abhijeet.. usse milna tha i mean.. uski book mere pas hai usko return krni thi .

Teacher: wo toh ghar chala gaya.. kal dedena..

Purvi's face fell, disappointment etched on her features.

Purvi: Yes ma'am..

She gazed at the letter, her eyes sparkling.

Purvi: it's okk... Kal dedungi yeh letter use...

Purvi tucked the letter into her bag, her mind racing. As she walked home, her thoughts swirled.

Abhijeet, still reeling from the overheard conversation, unaware of Purvi's plans.

Next day*

Abhi's absence lingered, stretching into three days.

Purvi sat alone on a bench, clutching the letter.

A lone tear dropped onto the paper. She spotted a boy, Abhi's neighbor, and approached.

Purvi: Hi rohit...

Rohit: Hello Purvi...kya hua??

Purvi: Wo.. abhijeet kuch dino se school kyu nhi aaraha??

Rohit: wo.. abse school nhi aayega.

Purvi: Kya?? I mean kyu??

Rohit: Usne school chhod diya...wo log mumbai shift ho gye hain..

Purvi's face paled. She sprinted away, tears streaming down.

Purvi: M..mujhe batana bhi zaroori nhi samjha.

That fateful day, he overheard Purvi's friends.

He rushed home, seeking solace. His mom sat on the couch.

Mom: are aaj badi jaldi aagya school se.

Abhi buried his face in her lap.

Mom: abhi.. kya hua beta??

Abhi mumbled: kuch ni maa...

His mom gently lifted his chin. Tears welled in his eyes.

Mom: Bata mujhe.. kya hua hai??

He made an excuse…did not let mother know the real reason.

Abhi: Bss yahan acha nhi lagta.. bhut Koshish krta hu dad ko bhulne ki lekin yahan ki har...har cheez dad ki yaad dilati hai..

His mom's expression softened.

Abhi: Dadi hume Mumbai bula rhi thi na.. hum wahi chalte hain maa..

Mom: lekin beta...

Abhi: Please maa... please..

Mom: thek hai...

Abhi nodded, relieved.

Little did he know, his heart would forever carry the scars.

Abhi's mom wiped away her own tears.

Mom: Ro mat beta...mai jaldi hi tujhe mumbai bhej dungi fir kuch din mai transfer lekr mai bhi aajaungi..

Abhi's voice trembled.

Abhi: Ka..kal bhej do please...

His mom hesitated.

Abhi: Mom.. please...

Mom: thek hai beta..

Abhi's tears subsided...Relief washed over him.

Flashback ends*

Abhi's eyes welled up. He glanced at Purvi, still sleeping.

Her back to him, a fragile silhouette.

Abhi's gaze lingered.Memories flooded his mind. He closed his eyes. Sleep gradually claimed him.

The past and present blurred.

Purvi turned away, a tear escaping. She remembered...

Flashback*

8 years later*

Purvi stepped into the Mumbai CID office, her heart racing with excitement and a hint of nervousness. She had just transferred from Delhi and was eager to meet her new colleagues.

As she entered the room, she was greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. Everyone seemed to be going out of their way to make her feel welcome.

Acp: Welcome to cid mumbai purvi..

Purvi: Thankyou sir..

As she shook hands with the rest of the team, Purvi couldn't help but notice how friendly and approachable everyone was. She was starting to feel happy and relieved, thinking that this transfer might not be so bad after all.

Just then.. pankaj leaned in and whispered...

Pankaj: Kaisa laga tumhe yahan?

Purvi: bahut acha... Sab bhut ache hain yahan.. mujhe laga tha strict honge seniors..

Pankaj: strict toh hain... Pr sirf ek senior..

Purvi: kon.? Daya sir ya acp sir??

Pankaj: nhi.. wo sir jinse tum abhi mili nhi..

Purvi: Inke alawa bhi koi senior hai??

Pankaj: haa...bhut gusse wale hain, strict bhi hain..

Purvi's eyes widened with concern. She hadn't expected this. She had heard stories about tough bosses, but an "angry young man" sounded like a whole different level. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she wondered what she had gotten herself into.

Just then, the door burst open and a tall, dark-haired man strode in, his eyes flashing with intensity. Purvi's heart skipped a beat as she realized this must be Senior Inspector. She felt a wave of nervousness wash over her, wondering what her first encounter with him would be like...

As their eyes met, Purvi felt a sudden jolt of familiarity. She couldn't quite place it, but she felt like she knew him. She looked deeper into his eyes, and he too, seemed to be gazing into her soul. They both got an eye lock, and for a few seconds, time stood still.

Purvi's smile grew wider as she realized who he was. She knew him, and he knew her. She whispered...

Purvi: Abhijeet...

Abhi's expression changed from intensity to shock. He too, had recognized her. His first love, Purvi - the one who had broken his heart into a million pieces. He hadn't expected to see her again, especially not here.

Abhi: Purvi...

The air was thick with tension as they both stood there, frozen in time. The rest of the room seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their past.

Abhi's eyes narrowed, his gaze burning with a mix of emotions.

The silence between them grew heavier, until Abhi finally broke it.

Abhi: tum.. tum yahan kya kr rhi ho..??

Purvi: m..meri transfer hui hai delhi se mumbai..

Abhi's expression turned from shock to disbelief.

Abhi: ohh toh tum meri new colleague ho...

Purvi: mujhe yakeen nhi ho raha itne saal baad tum mujhe aise miloge...i mean tum bhi cid mai aaoge..

He ignored and went to his desk..

Time Skip*

As the evening wore on, Purvi noticed that everyone had left for the day, except for Abhijeet, who was still sitting at his desk, staring at some files. She walked over to him, her heart racing with a mix of emotions.

Purvi: Abhijeet...

He looked up, his expression cold and distant.

Abhi: Sir... I'm your senior...

he replied, his voice firm but polite. Purvi felt a sting from his formal tone.

Purvi: Abhijeet... kyu aisa behave kr rhe ho tum??

she asked, sitting down next to him.

Abhi: Have some respect for your seniors, Purvi...

He said, his eyes flashing with a hint of anger.

Purvi took a deep breath, trying to remain calm.

Purvi : kya hua hai tumhe...batate kyu nhi.. 8 saal pehle bhi achank delhi se mumbai aagaye...bina bataye..I was worried sick about you!

Abhi shrugged, his expression unyielding.

Abhi: Main tumhe batana zaroori nhi samjhta..

Purvi: kyu nhi?? Hum ache dost reh chuke hain hum ek dusre se pyar...

Abhi: Nhi lagti tum meri kuch...bss classmate se badhkar kuch nhi thi...

Purvi felt a shock run through her.

Purvi: Y...yeh kya keh...rhe ho??

Abhi's gaze turned icy.

Abhi: yeh sab purani baatein hain...jinhe mai bhool chuka hu.. aur tum hoti kon ho mujhse sawal karne wali..??

Purvi's eyes widened in disbelief.

Purvi: Yeh tum puch rhe ho mai kis haq se tumse sawal kr rhi hu? Mujhe haq dene wale tum the jeet..mujhe pyaar krne wale...

Abhi's expression remained cold, his voice firm.

Abhi: I don't know what you're talking about, Purvi. And even if I did, I wouldn't discuss it with you. You're just a colleague now.

Purvi felt a lump form in her throat.

Purvi: Main tumse pyaar karti hu...aaj bhi...

Abhi's expression turned even colder, his eyes flashing with skepticism.

Abhi: Oh really? Ab pyaar kyu ho gya tumhe?? Mere pas ab paisa hai isiliye...mai achi position pe hu isiliye?... Or maybe it's because I have good looks now?

He said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Purvi : Why are you thinking like this, Abhijeet? I love you for who you are, not for what you have.

Abhi: Oh please, Purvi. Don't try to fool me again...

Purvi's eyes welled up with tears.

Abhi: Jeet..

Abhi raised his hands, his voice rising.

Abhi: Just leave me alone, Purvi. For God's sake. I don't need your fake love or your pity. I'm doing just fine without you.

Purvi felt a stinging sensation in her heart as Abhi's words cut deep.

Abhi walked into his house, greeted by the sound of his mom's voice on the phone. He went to his room, changed out of his work clothes, and came back out to start on his file work.

Half an hour passed, and he was free to relax. He noticed his mom still engrossed in her phone call and decided to watch TV instead. An hour went by, and she finally hung up.

Abhi: Kya baat hai maa?? 1 ghante se kisse batein kr rhe ho?

His mom smiled: maine bataya tha na tumhe kal.. 2 din pehle mujhe ek aurat mili thi mandir mai aur meri usse kaafi achi dosti ho gayi..

Abhi: Haa maa yaad hai...

Mom: Aaj mai uske ghar gayi thi..

Abhi smiled, happy for his mom's new friendship.

Abhi: Acha..

Mom: pta hai...uske pariwar mai bhi uski ek beti hi hai.. jaise mere pariwar mai sirf tu hi hai ..

Abhi: Ohh..

Mom: haa...bhut achi ladki hai wo...aur mai soch rhi thi kyu na..

Abhi's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with where this was headed.

Abhi: kyu na aap dono apni dosti ko rishtedari mai badal do.. meri aur unki beti ki shaadi karvakr.. kyu hai na??

His mom nodded enthusiastically...

Mom: Haa beta...bhut pyaari hai uski beti...aur tum dono ki jodi khoob jamegi..

Abhi sighed, rubbing his temples.

Abhi: Maa..please aapko kitni baar bolu ki mujhe..shaadi nhi karni abhi...

His mom looked disappointed but not surprised.

Mom: Abhi...tu abhi chhota baccha nhi hai.. shadi karke settle hoja beta ..25 saal ka ho chuka hai...

Abhi: maa mai ab iss baare mai bat nhi karna chahta...mujhe shaadi nhi karni...

Mom: abhi...beta tu ab yeh mat kehna tu rang biranga jhanda hai..

Abhi: KYAA?? Maa.. kaisi baatein kr rhi ho.. mai bss abhi shaadi nhi krna chahta..

His mom looked at him with a hint of sadness but nodded.

Mom: Thek hai beta...

Abhi nodded, relieved that the conversation had ended.

3 months later*

Purvi was getting ready for work at the bureau when her mom stopped her.

Purvi's mom: Kaha jaa rhi ho?

Purvi: bureau aur kidher jaungi mai??

P.M: Nhi aaj tu kahi nhi jayegi...aaj tu ghar pe rhegi aur apni hone wali saas se milegi..

Purvi's jaw dropped.

Purvi: kya?? Hone wali saas?? Mujhe shaadi nhi karni kaha hai na aapko.. main aapko akele chhodkr kahi nhi jaungi...

P.M: are beta fir toh yeh rishta tere liye bilkul sahi hai.. wo meri sabse achi dost hai.. maine usse tere baare mai baat ki thi... Wo tujhse milna chahti hai...

Purvi: maa please meri bat samjho..

P.M: Chinta mat kar beta...bss ja aur ready hoja.. please beta..

Purvi: Ji maa..

Purvi felt like she was in a nightmare. She didn't want to get married, especially not to someone her mom had chosen for her. She wanted to run away and hide, but her mom's enthusiasm was unstoppable.

Time Skip*

Purvi was sitting annoyed, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face, when the doorbell rang. Her mom opened the door and was greeted by a lady who she seemed to know very well. They exchanged warm hugs and the lady came inside, her eyes fixed on Purvi.

P.M: yeh hai purvi..

Purvi touched her feet but she hugged her..

Lady: Kitni pyari hai.. in dono ki jodi khoob jamegi..

Purvi's mom smiled and nodded in agreement.

P.M: haa bilkul...

Lady: mai tumhe apni bahu banae ke liye taiyaar hu beta...

Purvi's eyes widened in shock.

Purvi: Pr... Aap logo ko nhi lagta aap logo ko mujhse bhi puch lena chahiye..

P.M: Toh haa bol do...

Purvi hesitated, unsure of what to say.

Purvi: Maa.. aise kaise...

Lady: Kyunki mera beta bhut acha ladka hai.. wo cid officer bhi hai tum bhi toh ho na... Tum jaanti hongi na use..

Purvi's mind started racing as she calculated the possibilities.

Purvi (in mind): Sachin sir ki gf kajal hai... Daya sir ki gf shreya.. nikhil ki bhi hai.. freddy sir married hain.. PANKAJ!!

Purvi said, her voice shaking with shock.

Purvi: A..aap log pankaj ki baat kr rhe hain.??

Lady: Are nhi... mera beta senior inspector hai..

Purvi was so shocked that she couldn't imagine what was happening. Was God also wanting her to tie the knot with her love of life? She was thinking all this when her mom said...

A.mom: dekho uski photo... and opened her phone to show a picture of Abhijeet.

Purvi looked at the smile on Abhijeet's face and felt her heart skip a beat.

A.M: fir bhi tum batao beta... Tumhara kya faisla hai??

Purvi: Aap logo ki haa hai toh...meri bhi haa hai...

Abhi's mom was overjoyed and started making phone calls to finalize the wedding arrangements. Purvi's mom joined in, and soon they were all laughing and chatting like old friends.

Purvi just sat there, watching the scene unfold, her heart full of joy and gratitude. She knew that this was meant to be, and she couldn't wait to start her new life with Abhi..

Sunday morning*

Abhi's mom burst into his room, excitement radiating from her face.

A.M: abhiiii.. beta uthja.. jaldi se ready hoja..

Abhi groggily opened his eyes, rubbing his temples.

Abhi: Kya maa... Kiske liye ready hona hai..?

A.M: Hum log engagement pe jaa rhe hain..

Abhi: maa aap chali jaao na.. mujhe nhi jaana.. aaj sunday hai mujhe sona hai please...

A.M: bilkul nhi.. kaha na tum mere saath chal rhe ho..

Abhi reluctantly threw off his covers and got out of bed, his mom following close behind. She handed him a beautiful kurta set, which Abhi hesitated to wear.

Abhi: Maa.. mai yeh nhi pehnunga koi pant shirt pehan leta hu na.. konsa meri engagement hai..

His mom glared at him, and Abhi knew he had no choice. He put on the kurta set and came out of his room, looking dashing.

As they were about to leave, Abhi saw a wedding card on the table. He picked it up, curious, and was about to open it when his mom snatched it from his hands.

Abhi: Kiski shaadi ka card hai wo??

A.M: Jinki engagement pe jaa rhe hain..

Abhi: Haa dekhne toh do venue location likhi hogi uspr...

A.M: Mujhe pta hai location..tu chal bss.. der ho rhi hai hume .

She pushed him out the door..

As they drove to the engagement, Abhi asked his mom where they were going.

Abhi: Maa... Aapko card saath lelena chahiye tha...

A.M: bss thodi hi door hai ab... tu chal na..

Abhi: Ek toh yeh sunday ko kon... engagement rakhta hai yrr...chhuti ka din hota hai sona hota hai agle ne..

A.M: Chhuti ka din hai isiliye rakhi hai engagement taaki sab aa sake..

After a while, they reached a beautiful venue..

Abhi's eyes widened in shock as he saw his friends and relatives gathered at the venue. What was going on? He thought it was just a normal engagement ceremony!

His mom guided him to the stage, where he was greeted by Daya and other team members who congratulated him.

Daya: Congratulations bhai.. lekin mai tujhse naraz hu..

Abhi: kis baat ka congrats aur kyu naraz??

Daya: bhola mat bann.. ek raat pehle kon btata hai ki teri engagement hai.. tera best friend hu.. km se km 1 mahina pehle btana tha na .

Abhi's confusion turned to shock as he realized that it was his own engagement ceremony!

Abhi: M..meri engagement..Maa.. ye..yeh sab kya hai? Apne mujhe batana bhi zaroori nhi samjha?

A.m: Aur kya karti mai? Tu maanta hai kya meri baat?

Abhi: Pr maa...

A.M: thek hai krde mana.. krde apni maa ki sabke samne bezaati karde..

Abhi knew she was emotionally blackmailing him, but he had no choice now.

Abhi: Thek hai...

Just then, his bride-to-be entered the stage, and Abhi's jaw dropped in shock. It was Purvi!

Abhi: maa.. yeh ladki..??

A.M: Haa beta teri hone wali patni..

Abhi: NHI...bilkul nhi mai isse shaadi nhi karunga..

Abhi again tried to protest, but his mom took him aside to avoid making a scene. They started talking in hushed tones.

Abhi: maa.. aap jisse bologi usse shaadi krunga.. pleasee mai iss ladki se shadi nhi kr sakta..

A M: kyu?? Ladki ka character kharab hai kya??

Abhi: nhi maa.. wo aisi nhi hai.. mai bss shaadi nhi krna chahta isse..

His mom looked at him sternly.

A.M: Thek hai...mat kr shaadi.. reh hamesha akele..

Abhi: Reh lunga...

A.M: thek hai na.. mai bhi chali jaati hu old-age home.. mai bhi nhi rehna chahti tere saath.. reh lega na tu akele toh reh le..

Abhi was taken aback by his mom's dramatic threat.

Abhi: Maa.. kyu kr rhi ho yrr aisa...

His mom took his hand and put it on her head.

A.M: wada kar mujhse.. tu shaadi krega isse bina kisi natak kare..

Abhi hesitated, but his mom's emotional blackmail worked. He nodded reluctantly, but his heart was heavy with resentment.

Abhi: Finee... Nhi karunga koi natak.. lekin yaad rakhna iski zimedari mai nhi uthaunga..

His mom smiled, satisfied with his agreement.

A.M: mera pyara beta.. koi baat nhi.. dekhna dhere dhere pyar ho hi jaata hai.. ab chal deri ho rhi hai..

Abhi trudged back to the stage, his heart heavy with a sense of defeat. He couldn't believe his mom had manipulated him into marrying someone he didn't want to.
