Surprise! You don't expect a fourth chapter this soon, huh? I also didn't expect this chapter to be finished so soon. The third chapter was supposed to fill in for this one because we are going on vacation, which was canceled today. RIP, and I would not have access to my PC during that time, so I split it from this chapter and decided to upload it as chapter 3. That is the reason why it was so short.
Chapter 4 I hope you all enjoy it!
Naruto received memories of the clones he had sent to spy on the camp the next day, and he was disgusted and intrigued by what they saw.
Previous day
One of the clones disguised as a squirrel observed a short distance away as the bandits gathered around the campfire, eating a few bandits stood guard over a cell full of females numbering 15 and ranging from what he estimated six and the oldest being about 20s. He noted the lack of clothing of some of the prisoners. 'Disgusting waste of breaths. They deserve to rot in hell!' he thought to himself angrily but knew he should not move yet as he was only a clone and just gathering information.
The clone started counting the number of the camp. 'about 30 should be easy enough,' he thought. Suddenly, one of the larger tents opened, and a rouge nin popped out. Judging by his headband, he is a shinobi from Kiri. 'How could the original not notice that one?... he is suppressing his chakra! Wait, I think I recognize him… that's Hakari of the red mist! A B-Rank bordering on A-Rank missing-nin from Kiri.' he thought to himself and started to suppress his chakra further. He didn't want to get caught. Thankfully, his fellow clones noticed the danger and also suppressed their chakra.
"Alright, bring me the next one!" Hakari shouted, and the bandit guarding the cell opened it and brought out a brown-haired girl about the same age as Naruto, who looked horrified.
"No! No! No!" she shouted fearfully as she was brought in front of Hakari. The man smiled creepily at the girl.
"Don't worry, little one. I'll take care of you," he whispered to her. The girl closed her eyes, and suddenly, the wind started picking up, forming a protective circle around her. Hakari looked at it with interest.
"Interesting! Such a high level of control over wind!" he exclaimed as he tried to touch the girl but was unable to.
"Heh, you can't keep that up for a few seconds longer, but I guess I'll keep you. I think I can sell you for a high price." He muttered to the girl, who looked exhausted as the wind died down.
"Bring her to a separate cell!" he said to the guard, who nodded as he dragged the exhausted girl to her new cell.
The clone watching this was intrigued. 'That girl must have some former shinobi training but not enough chakra. I estimate it to be about Mid-genin to High-genin, and that control over wind is extraordinary! And that barrier of wind is like my infinity,' the clone thought as he continued his watch and held himself back from attacking the camp because of what transpired next.
Present Time
"Alright, time to eliminate some trash!" Naruto said to himself as he neared the camp, suppressing his chakra as much as possible. Ten clones had already surrounded the camp and had a dozen kunai with explosive tags ready to throw them once the original started his attack.
With the original, he started by throwing a dozen smoke bombs and summoned a few shadow clones who easily tore a hole through the cell, making sure not to harm the hostages.
"Move quickly and follow us!" one of the clones told them as they led the girls out of the camp to safety.
Once they were sufficiently far away, the clones started throwing the kunai, which exploded once they hit the ground, cutting the number of bandits from 30 to 15. The rest of the clones then started attacking the bandits with the original.
Naruto ducked under a punch from a bandit and, with a sweep to the legs, knocked him off balance. Pulling out a kunai, stabbed the man in the throat. He then rolled out of the way of a leg that tried to stomp him using the kunai he was still holding and stabbed the leg of the other man, who screamed in pain before another kunai landed on his head courtesy of his clone.
"Water Style: Water Bullet!" he heard from his back. He quickly switched places with another bandit. The force of the jutsu instantly knocked out the poor man.
"Well, well, foolish of you to attack us, brat, and you're alone. This will be easy." Hakari said arrogantly as he brandished his sword.
"You are paying for your crimes, Hakari." Naruto spat as they stood in front of each other.
'Get ready to give me some chakra, Kurama. This can become difficult without me relying on infinity,' Naruto said to his partner. "Got you kit, but be careful. My chakra is still hard to control, and as always, the risk of going berserk is high. Just stay focused," Kurama advised, and Naruto nodded.
Hakari rushed forward. Naruto narrowly dodged the first slash, the blade grazing his jacket. The follow-up strike forced him to leap back, only for Hakari to press the attack, his katana slicing toward Naruto's midsection.
Naruto raised his kunai to block, but Hakari's relentless strikes kept him on the defensive. A sudden feint caught Naruto off guard, and a shallow cut appeared on his thigh, drawing blood.
"You're already slowing down," Hakari taunted.
Naruto gritted his teeth, stepping back to gain distance. He formed a single-hand seal. "Let's see if you can handle this."
"Maximum Output: Ao!"
The sphere of concentrated blue energy materialized in Naruto's hand, its pull immediately distorting the air around it. Hakari's confident expression faltered as he felt the immense gravitational force.
"What the—?!" Hakari jammed his katana into the ground, desperate to anchor himself. But the pull was too strong, dragging him forward along with debris, trees, and chunks of the ground.
"Impossible!" Hakari yelled, his grip on the katana slipping. In moments, he was yanked off his feet and hurled into the center of the Ao, debris slamming into him as he spiraled toward the orb. The pull ceased as the Ao dissipated, leaving Hakari sprawled on the ground, battered and disoriented.
Naruto didn't let up. He formed Aka and hurled it at the recovering Hakari.
"Water Style: Water Wall!" Hakari shouted, summoning a barrier just in time. Aka detonated against the wall, the explosion forcing Hakari back. He stumbled, blood trickling down his face.
"You're tougher than you look, Brat." Hakari admitted, panting. "But I'm not done yet."
Forming hand seals, Hakari unleashed another jutsu. "Water Style: Raging Torrent!" A massive wave surged toward Naruto, threatening to engulf him.
Naruto countered immediately. "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" The powerful gust collided with the wave, scattering it into harmless droplets.
Hakari charged through the mist, swinging his katana. Naruto dodged the first strike but couldn't evade the follow-up. Hakari's blade grazed his side, drawing blood.
"You're quick, but not quick enough," Hakari sneered, pressing his advantage.
Naruto staggered back, clutching his wound. "Kurama… I need your chakra," he muttered.
The fox's voice answered in his mind. "Got you Kit! Stay focused."
Red chakra erupted around Naruto, forming the bubbling cloak that amplified his strength and speed. His wounds began to heal as Hakari froze.
"What… what is that?!" Hakari demanded, his voice tinged with fear.
Naruto didn't answer. He rushed forward, his speed now overwhelming. A single punch sent Hakari flying, and Naruto followed up with a spinning kick that drove Hakari into the ground.
Hakari struggled to his feet, blood dripping from his mouth. Desperate, he formed one last jutsu. "Water Style: Binding Serpent!" A torrent of water shaped like a snake coiled around Naruto, locking him in place.
Hakari lunged forward, his katana aimed at Naruto's chest. But the red chakra flared, shattering the water prison. Naruto sidestepped the attack and retaliated with another Ao, flinging the sphere directly at Hakari.
This time, Hakari couldn't resist. The immense gravitational force pulled him in, slamming him against the debris and ground with devastating force. When the pull ceased, Hakari lay on the ground, his katana broken, his body bruised and bleeding.
"You… you're a monster," Hakari rasped, his voice weak.
Naruto's gaze was cold. "If I'm a monster, you're worse."
With Kurama's chakra amplifying his strength, Naruto charged forward. A devastating kick to Hakari's chest sent him flying. The impact shattered his ribs, piercing his heart. He hit the ground with a sickening thud, lifeless.
Naruto exhaled, the red chakra cloak fading as he sealed Hakari's body into a scroll. "Mission complete," he muttered, glancing around the ruined bandit camp. His clones were finishing off the remaining bandits.
'Hakari got a few good hits in if Infinity is protecting me This will be easy, but it is necessary. I don't use it, and thanks for the help, Kurama' Naruto thought, and he thanked his partner. "No problem, Kit." The fox answered.
He started to leave the clearing but stopped when he noticed the brown-haired girl with the abnormal control over wind was still in the cell. 'Fuck, my clones forgot to let her escape. How could they forget?' he wondered as he opened the cell.
"Are you all right? I'm so sorry my clones forgot to let you escape in the chaos," he said to the girl, who shook her head with a grateful smile.
"It's alright. I still got saved. Thank you so much! I don't know if I can escape by myself and the horrors that might happen if you didn't save us. Thank you so much!" the girl said as she started to babble on Naruto. He sweat dropped.
"Umm… No problem?" he said as he scratched his head nervously 'She's talking way too fast' he thought.
The girl, noticing that she was babbling, blushed in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry! My name is Kazehana Sayuri!" the girl introduced herself, holding out her arm for a handshake.
"Names Uzumaki Naruto. Nice to meet you, Sayuri," Naruto introduced himself, shaking the offered hand with a smile. "Now, if you follow me, I'll take you and the other hostages to Konoha, and hopefully, we can return you to your families." Naruto said cheerfully, Sayuri's face saddened.
"Umm… if you and your Kage don't mind, can I live in Konoha? My family is dead as they are attacked by that man you just killed…" Sayuri said as tears started to run down her cheeks, remembering the way her family got ambushed and subsequently killed by Hakari and his bandits.
Naruto looked at her with a frown. 'Damn that man, good thing I got rid of him before he caused more pain to others.' he thought, and placing a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder, he smiled.
"Don't worry, I know the Hokage. He is kind. I think he will definitely let you live in Konoha, provided you are not a spy and can contribute something to the village." Naruto explained, and the girl nodded with a small smile.
"Oh yeah, I can become a Shinobi for Konoha! I have some experience, but my chakra reserves are too low, and I have extraordinary control over wind! Hope that helps!" Sayuri said, and Naruto nodded as they neared the group of females, Naruto's clones standing guard around them.
"You are all safe now! We are going to Konoha to get you treated for wounds, but I have first aid for those who are in need. We can reach the village in about three days, but for now, rest up me. and my clones will salvage what we can from the camp, clothes, food, tents, and other things we need!" Naruto announced to the freed hostages, who all gave him grateful smiles.
"Thank you, Shinobi-san." a black-haired civilian said with a small bow. Naruto nodded with a small smile.
A Few Hours Later
Naruto stood guard over the camp. He and his clones salvaged what they could from the bandit camp and, thankfully, had enough for the group of women and children. He frowned. 'Children should always be protected and live with their families, and those scums killed their families and took them as slaves.' he thought angrily. He noticed one of the tents open, and Sayuri came out of it.
"What are you doing still up, Sayuri? You should get some rest," he said to her. The girl shook her head and frowned.
"I can't. I had a nightmare," she said as she sat next to Naruto, and the blonde nodded.
"Would you Mind telling me what it is? It can sometimes help," Naruto said gently. Sayuri looked conflicted for a moment before deciding to tell him about her nightmare.
"It's the same one as always since I got captured by Hakari and his bandits. I wake up in the caravan my family is using, only to find it empty. I wandered around searching for them for a few moments before I heard a scream. I ran to the location only to see Hakari… He has tortured my Father and hanged him by a tree… My mother was raped and tortured by the bandits… and that bastard Hakari is beating my younger brother. He's begging for help, but I can't do anything! Suddenly, Hakari and the bandits disappeared, and I stood face-to-face with my Family, all of them screaming at me for not being able to save them!" Sayuri explained her nightmare and started hyperventilating. Naruto quickly hugged her as the girl cried hysterically.
"Shhh… Hakari and his bandits are gone now. They can't hurt you anymore, and I'm sure your Family wouldn't blame you for not being able to save them. They are probably…. no definitely watching over you right now! and are happy that you are alive and safe now. And they definitely would want you to live your life happily." Naruto consoled the crying girl, who nodded shakily.
"Y-yeah, th-they will definitely would want that. Thank you, Naruto." Sayuri thanked the blonde, wiping her tears away. Naruto smiled at her.
"No problem, Sayuri. Now try to get some rest. It's getting late." Naruto said, and Sayuri nodded.
"Alright, I will try. Good night, Naruto," Sayuri said as she walked over to her tent.
"Night Sayuri." The blonde responded with a small smile as the girl entered her tent.
A few Days Later Near Konoha
Naruto and his group neared the Konoha gates. One of the younger kids, Rika, looked at it in wonder.
"Woah! It's so huge!" She said with stars in her eyes Naurto chuckled.
"Of course, it's huge! It serves as a defense against outsiders, so it needs to be enormous!" The blonde explained as they neared Izumo and Kotetsu.
"Sup guys, Mission complete. Mind calling some Anbu? Some of these ladies need medical attention and need to get to the Hospital," the blonde explained to the two Chunin guards, who nodded.
"Izumo, you go radio in some Anbu," Kotetsu ordered. Izumo groaned but complied, and a few seconds later, two Anbu Boar and Neko masked appeared.
"Please follow us," Neko said gently. The group of women followed, but Sayuri stayed with Naruto. The two Anbu looked at the blonde, who explained her situation, and the two nodded, leaving with the group.
"Let's go visit the Hokage. I'm tired of walking, so let's just teleport there." Naruto explained, placing a hand on Sayuri's shoulder.
"Tele- whaa!" Sayuri started to say but screamed as she suddenly felt a pull, and they appeared outside the Hokage's office.
"You can teleport!?" Sayuri asked with stars in her eyes Naruto chuckled.
"Yeah, it's one of my bloodline abilities. I'll explain later," Naruto said, waving to the secretary, who let him in after making sure the Hokage was not busy.
They entered the office, and Naruto sighed, seeing the Hokage giggling perversely over an orange book.
"Ahem…" Naruto faked, cleared his throat, and with speed that could even make Minato blink in surprise, the old man threw the book outside his window, unknowingly hitting a silver-haired Jonin in the head. "Kami has blessed me!" he shouted with glee, ignoring the odd looks he was getting as he held the book like it was gold.
"Ahh, Naruto-Kun, back from your mission, I see. Who is this?" he asked, looking at Sayuri. The girl gulped nervously at the Hokage's gaze. Seeing the nervous look on Sayuri's face, Naruto decided to talk.
"This is Sayuri. I found her being held captive by an B-Rank missing-nin from Kiri named Hakari and a group of bandits. The rest of the girls are at the hospital getting treated with two Anbu guarding them." Naruto explained, and the Hokage nodded, deciding to ask about his fight with the B-Rank missing nin later.
"But why is she with you?" He asked, and Naruto looked at Sayuri.
"I think she can explain that." Naruto said, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Don't worry. He will understand your situation," He whispered. The girl nodded, trying to clear her nervousness before speaking.
"Hokage-sama, my name is Kazehana Sayuri. I'm from a civilian family, but my father has some prior Shinobi training and has trained me on what he knows. I request to live in the village since my family is now dead, and I can offer myself as a Kunoichi of the village." Sayuri explained her situation, and the Hokage thought for a moment before nodding.
"Very well, but first, we must confirm you are not a spy, and we will check by having a Yamanaka perform a scan on you if you wait for a moment," the Hokage said. Sayuri nodded in understanding as the old man called for an Anbu. "Call for Inoichi Yamanaka." The Anbu nodded, disappearing a few moments later. He reappeared with Inoichi.
"What is the situation Hokage-Sama?" Inoichi asked the Hokage who explained the situation, Inoichi nodded.
"This will feel weird, but please bear with me," Inoichi said, placing a hand on Sayuri's head gently. He closed his eyes, and Sayuri felt a cool sensation on her head for a few moments before Inoichi pulled his hand away.
"She's clear, Hokage-Sama." Inoichi reported, and the Hokage smiled gratefully.
"Thank you, Inoichi. You can go now." The old man said, and the Yamanaka nodded and disappeared after a bow.
"I'll add you to our forces as a Genin Sayuri-chan," The Hokage said with a smile as he handed her a leaf headband. The girl took it with a small smile and tied it around her arm before bowing.
"I promise to grow strong and protect Konoha and her people!" Sayuri said, and the Hokage nodded with a smile.
"Now, to assign you to a team, hmm…" The Hokage pondered for a moment before looking at Naruto.
"I will team you up with Naruto, and since he has a high chance of being Chunin, this will be a good experience for him to lead, even if it's just one person." The old man decided, and Naruto smiled.
"Let's work well together, then, Sayuri," Naruto said, patting the girl on the back. She grinned at him.
"Yep, this will be fun! Can you show me around now?" she asked, and the blonde nodded. They both bowed their heads to the Hokage before leaving.
Konoha Streets
Naruto and Sayuri walked around the village, the blonde pointing out each building to the brown-haired girl, who listened with rapt attention. "And this is the best restaurant in the village!" Naruto announced with a grin as they stood in front of Ichiraku. The girl looked at it in wonder. Even if it was small, the welcoming aura radiating off it made her smile. The two entered the small stand, and Naruto instantly ordered his usual.
"Three Uzumaki special and keep it coming, old man-Teuchi!" he announced, and Teuchi grinned. "Ahh Naruto-kun, welcome back!" He greeted the young blonde and, after a few moments, placed a steaming bowl of ramen in front of Naruto, who excitedly slurped it up. Sayuri looked at the blonde in wonder, watching him finish off the bowl in record time.
"And who is this girl? Don't tell me…" Ayame asked the blonde, who blushed.
"No, no, it's not like that! She's a new Kunoichi who was added as my partner during missions. Come on, introduce yourself, Sayuri." Naruto quickly responded. The girl, to her credit, managed to clear off her blush before introducing herself.
"Hi, my name is Kazehana Sayuri! Naruto is showing me around, and I heard from him that this is the best restaurant in town." Sayuri introduced herself with a small smile. Ayame smiled at her as Teuchi laughed loudly.
"Ah yes, we do serve the best Ramen in Konoha! Even the Yondaime and the Sandaime Hokage love to eat here!" Teuchi said with a grin, "So what are you gonna order?" He asked the girl, who looked at the menu for a moment.
"I'll take two miso ramen with extra beef, please." She ordered her ramen, and Teuchi nodded, placing the bowl in front of her.
"Enjoy!" he said with a warm smile as Sayuri started eating the ramen. Naruto, for his part, looked at the girl, awaiting her reaction.
"This is good!" Sayuri exclaimed in wonder as she ate her ramen, and Naruto chuckled.
"Ain't that the truth? Glad you enjoy it!" Naruto said with a smile as Sayuri quickly finished her ramen.
"So where to next?" Sayuri asked as they exited the ramen stand, waving goodbye to Teuchi and Ayame.
"Let's head to the training grounds, and I'll try to gauge your full capabilities." Naruto said, and the girl nodded.
Training Grounds
"Alright, let's start with the basics! do you know tree climbing and water walking?" The blonde asked, and Sayuri nodded.
"Good, let's start with a basic spar Taijutsu only!" Naruto said, and the girl nodded with a small smile.
"You ready, Sayuri?" Naruto asked.
She nodded. "I'm ready. Don't go easy on me."
Naruto chuckled. "I won't go too easy, but I'm not gonna crush you either. Let's see what you've got."
Sayuri dashed forward, her movements quick. She opened with a straight jab toward Naruto's face, but he leaned to the side, dodging effortlessly. She followed up with a roundhouse kick aimed at his ribs, but Naruto raised his forearm to block, the impact barely making him budge.
"Not bad," Naruto commented as he stepped back. "Your form's solid."
Sayuri didn't respond, instead launching a flurry of punches. Naruto weaved through them with ease, his hands staying at his sides as he gauged her technique. She transitioned into a low sweep, forcing Naruto to jump, but as she followed up with a rising kick, he caught her ankle mid-air.
"Too predictable," Naruto said, gently pushing her back. Sayuri stumbled but quickly recovered.
She darted to the side, feinting a strike before twisting her body to deliver a spinning kick aimed at Naruto's head. This time, Naruto ducked under it and closed the distance. Before she could react, he tapped her shoulder with a flick of his wrist, spinning her around and unbalancing her.
Sayuri growled softly, gritting her teeth. She adjusted her stance again and rushed at him with renewed vigor. She threw a series of rapid strikes, mixing punches and kicks in unpredictable patterns. Naruto blocked and dodged them all, his movements fluid and unhurried.
"Your speed's good," he said, sidestepping a particularly aggressive punch. "But you're relying too much on linear attacks. Try mixing it up."
Sayuri leaped back, taking a moment to catch her breath. She focused, letting the wind around her guide her movements. She darted forward again, faster this time, and aimed a punch at Naruto's chest. At the last second, she dropped low and pivoted into a spinning backkick.
Naruto raised an eyebrow, impressed by the feint, but he caught her leg mid-spin with one hand. "Better," he admitted before gently tossing her back.
Sayuri landed on her feet, sliding slightly across the dirt. Sweat dripped down her brow as she stared at him. "You're holding back," she said, frustration creeping into her voice.
"Of course I am," Naruto replied with a shrug. "This is a spar to gauge your abilities, not a fight to the death. But you're doing great so far."
Her determination flared. She charged at him again, this time using bursts of wind to accelerate her movements. Her strikes became faster and harder to predict, and Naruto had to put in a bit more effort to dodge. A sudden gust enhanced her kick, forcing Naruto to block with both arms.
"Nice use of wind." Naruto said with a small smile. "But taijutsu isn't just about raw speed or power."
He finally moved to the counter. With a burst of speed, he appeared in front of her, blocking her next punch with ease. Before she could react, he stepped behind her and swept her legs out from under her. Sayuri hit the ground with a soft grunt but immediately rolled back to her feet.
Naruto didn't let her regain her balance. He closed the distance in an instant, flicking her forehead with enough force to make her stumble.
"Ow!" she exclaimed, rubbing the spot.
"That's it for now," Naruto said, stepping back. "You've got solid potential, Sayuri. Your form, speed, and control over wind are great. But you need to work on reading your opponent better and not telegraphing your attacks."
Sayuri clenched her fists, determination gleaming in her eyes. "I'll get stronger. Next time, I won't lose so easily."
Naruto smiled, offering her a hand. "I'm looking forward to it."
Sayuri accepted his hand and stood up. "Thanks." Naruto nodded.
"Now, let's head back. It's getting late." the blonde said, and the girl nodded before realizing something.
"Wait, where am I going to live? I forgot to ask Hokage-sama!" She said and started panicking before Naruto placed a placating hand on her shoulder.
"Calm down. You can stay at my apartment for the night if you want," the blonde explained. Sayuri blushed but nodded.
Naruto's Apartment
Naruto opened his door for Sayuri. "Ladies first," he said as Sayuri entered the apartment, looking around. The apartment was cozy and modest, with walls painted a warm shade of brown. A large couch sat by the window. A small wooden table in front of it, several scrolls and books lay scattered across its surface, some opened, others stacked haphazardly.
The kitchen blended seamlessly with the living room, separated only by a low counter that doubled as a dining space. Its design was simple, with a few cabinets and a stove.
To the side, a narrow hallway led to the bathroom, its door slightly opened. The bedroom was situated just off the living room.
"Pretty nice apartment you got here, even if it's small," Sayuri commented. Naruto chuckled.
"Yeah, and since the old man pays for it, I don't have to worry about rent!" The blonde grinned. "Anyways, go wash up. I'm sure you are dying for a shower. I'll take care of dinner." Naruto said, and Sayuri nodded, entering the shower after Naruto handed her a towel and some of his clothes since the girl had yet to buy one.
Sayuri exited the shower just as Naruto finished making dinner. "Smells good!" She commented as Naruto handed her a plate. "Thanks. Tonight's dinner is steamed white race with teriyaki chicken and a side of vegetables!" Naruto said as he placed the dishes on the table after a quick thank for the food they dug in.
"So what are we gonna do tomorrow?" Sayuri asked as she ate. Naruto pondered for a moment. "Well, since I'm taking the chunin exams, I need to train, but I don't need it much since I'm the strongest genin in the exams and I can soundly defeat all of them without much trouble so I guess I'll help you with your Taijutsu and Chakra reserve since that is what you need to work on the most ." Naruto explained.
"You sound arrogant, but I guess it's understandable you did defeat a B-Rank missing-nin," Sayuri commented, and Naruto chuckled.
"Well, considering my bloodline, it is understandable," Naruto said, and the girl looked at him.
"What is it, anyway? I know you can teleport with it, but what else can you do?" Sayuri asked, and Naruto leaned back in his chair.
"Throw your chopstick at me." He ordered, and Sayuri complied. The chopstick soared through the air towards the blonde's head but stopped a few inches away from him. The girl looked at it in surprise.
"Damn, that is cool!" She exclaimed, looking at the floating chopstick that was being held up by infinity in wonder.
"It's called Infinity, and it isn't just a barrier—it's a concept. It's the endless space between me and anything that tries to reach me. Think of it like this: the closer you get to me, the more that space stretches. It's like trying to touch something in a mirror; no matter how far you reach, there's always… a little more distance. Every attack, every move, slows down as it approaches me. To you, it feels like you're about to hit, but for me, it's like time freezes the moment before contact," Naruto explained. The girl nodded.
"So basically, you can't get hit ever?" She asked, and Naruto chuckled.
"I have been hit several times, but I have come to death close enough this one time when I encountered someone who can counter it. His name is Kisame Hoshigaki." Naruto said, shivering, remembering his near-death encounter. The girl looked at him in surprise.
"I thought it couldn't get countered?" she asked, and Naruto shook his head.
"Everything has a counter, and Infinity is not excluded. Its counter are things that disrupt chakra, and Kisame wields a sword that literally devours chakra, so when I encountered him, I made the mistake of assuming he can't hit me, and it almost cost me my life." Naruto explained, and the girl nodded but also noticed that the blonde was always wearing sunglasses. "Not to sound rude, but why are you wearing that all of the time? Are your eyes sensitive?" She asked curiously, and Naruto chuckled. "Well, you can say that," he said, taking it off and showing off his dojutsu as it glowed faintly. "Woah, is that a dojutsu? You have two bloodlines?!" Sayuri asked in surprise. Naruto chuckled.
"Yeah, two bloodlines, but I think one could not function properly without the other. These eyes, I call them the Six Eyes, allow me to understand the Limitless bloodline that controls infinity and other techniques, and that is not the only function of these eyes. It allows me to understand chakras way better than anyone else and allows me to control them down to the last bit, meaning my use of chakras is so efficient that I barely use any of them! I have never run out of chakra before! And my reserves are twice the Hokage! Anyway, as to why I have sunglasses on all the time, my eyes can see clearer than anyone else. It can even make me see things from several kilometers clearly, and because of that, it fatigues me easily, so having sunglasses helps reduce the fatigue. I might even consider wearing a blindfold since I can still see through it even if I wear it," Naruto explained his bloodline to his Sayuri, who nodded, processing all those words. "Damn, your bloodline is so complex and sounds so strong!" Sayuri exclaimed. Naruto chuckled as they finished their dinner.
"Go rest up now. We have a busy day tomorrow. I'll wash the dishes," Naruto said, and Sayuri nodded gratefully. She normally would have wanted to wash the dishes as she was the guest, but she couldn't argue that, and she was way too tired.
"Thanks, Naruto. Good Night." She said, entering the bedroom.
"Good Night." She heard him as she laid down on the bed. Sleep quickly claimed her.
Next Day
Naruto stood in front of Sayuri, instructing her on what to do next. "All right, let's focus on your chakra reserves for now, and the way to make it go up is to drain it and let it fill back up naturally. I'll suggest doing multiple chakra exercises at once, like Tree climbing and having multiple leaves stuck to you or water walking while balancing a kunai on each hand," Naruto explained. Sayuri nodded in understanding, deciding to do the latter as she stood in the water. She tried to balance a kunai on each hand, and it was a good way to drain her chakra and simultaneously improve her control.
Naruto, for his part, sparred with his shadow clones without using Infinity to train himself to dodge.
That is the scene Jiraiya and Kakashi found themselves walking into.
"Who is the girl kid? Haven't seen her before." Jiraiya asked the blonde, who waved Sayuri over.
"This is Kazehana Sayuri. I found her captured by some bandits along with some other women. They are safe now, and Sayuri decided to join the village as a Kunoichi and was added as my partner." Naruto explained, and Jiraiya nodded before grinning, taking notice that the girl was wearing Naruto's shirt and pants.
"Well, you really did made sure to get to know her well." He said, giggling before getting kicked by Naruto on the shin.
Sayuri blushed at the comment, 'I need to buy some clothes later, but I don't have money…' she thought with a sigh.
"Damn, brat!" Jiraiya exclaimed, rubbing his sore shin. Kakashi chuckled.
"Well, that is what you get for your comment, Jiraiya-sama, but nice to meet you, Sayuri. My name is Hatake Kakashi." the Jonin said, giving the girl his signature eye smile. Sayuri nodded at the Jonin, giving him a smile in return.
"Nice to meet you, Kakashi-san," The girl said, giving the jonin a small bow.
"Well, at least the girl's got some manners, unlike you," Jiraiya muttered, receiving another kick in response. "Stop that, you brat!" Jiraiya said as he started chasing the blonde around the training ground.
"Are they always like this?" Sayuri asked dryly, and Kakashi chuckled as Naruto sent a low-powered Ao to launch Jiraiya towards the nearby lake.
"Who is that man anyway? They seem close." Sayuri asked the one-eyed Jonin, who shrugged.
"That is his guardian and mentor, Jiraiya-sama, one of the Legendary Sannin," Kakashi said, and Sayuri's eyes widened even though she was primarily from a civilian family, with her Father being the only Shinobi she had heard stories from her father about the man and his fellow sannin/ teammates.
"He's a sannin, and he acts like that?" She commented in amusement as Jiraiya, who had come out of the lake, gave Naruto a noogie.
"Maaa… That is because they are close. Jiraiya-sama has been taking care of Naruto since he was five. Even if he is always away on a long mission, he has me to help raise him." Kakashi said as the Mentor and Student approached them.
"What are you guys doing here anyways? Aren't you supposed to train the Uchiha?" Naruto asked Kakashi, who shrugged.
"Maa…Maa, can't I visit you? And yeah, I'm supposed to train Sasuke, but you know me, so I'm going to be as late as possible," Kakashi drawled. Naruto chuckled. "Of course, typical of you, Kakashi."
"As for me, I think it's about time for you to sign the contract," Jiraiya said, and Naruto's eyes widened before he grinned excitedly.
"Yosh! Finally, you are allowing me to sign the contract!" Naruto shouted in joy as Jiraiya summoned a toad and laid out the scroll before opening it.
"Just sign your name in blood, and that's it," Jiraiya explained. The blonde nodded, doing as instructed. "Now do this hand seals." Jiraiya showed it to the blonde, who nodded.
"Summoning Jutsu!" the blonde shouted. A poof of smoke appeared before a small orange toad in a blue jacket appeared.
"Yo! You must be our new summoner names Gamakichi! Could you give me some candy?" The toad named Gamakichi introduced himself.
"Sup! You're correct. I'm the new summoner, Uzumaki Naruto. Nice to meet you, and let's check if I have some." Naruto introduced himself before rummaging around his pockets and, a moment later, pulling out two candy bars.
"Here you can go now," Naruto said, and the toad nodded, saying thanks before disappearing.
Jiraiya, watching this, smiled. "You did way better than your father, at least." He commented with a smile.
"I'll resume my training, Naruto. Call me over when you're done." Sayuri said as she walked away, and Naruto nodded.
"Anything else?" He asked the sannin, who nodded.
"How about we catch up? Been a while since we have talked casually." Jiraiya said with a small smile, and Naruto nodded as they sat on the nearby training post, waving Kakashi goodbye as he left to train Sasuke.
"So aside from landing yourself a lady friend, which I failed to mention about damn time, what have you been doing?" Jiraiya asked. Naruto blushed at his comment about Sayuri.
"We're not like that we're just friends and teammates! And I just met her a few days ago, for Kami's sake! get your head out of the gutter, Eroo-Sennin!" Naruto exclaimed, and Jiraiya laughed.
"Well, aside from the typical missions, I have this near-death encounter with a man named Hoshigaki Kisame. He countered my Infinity with his sword. Do you know anything about him?" Naruto asked. Jiraiya looked at him in surprise for a moment before responding.
"We'll talk about your near-death encounter later, but I do know him. I'm surprised he didn't capture you," Jiraiya said. The blonde looked at him in confusion. "Why would he want to capture me?" he asked, and Jiraiya sighed.
"What do you know about Akatsuki?"
