Chapter 24
Days later
Julian had been served with a restraining order. Since then Brooke hadn't heard or seen him.
Yet she was still stressed on edge.
"How come we have to go to school and Sage gets to stay home?" Wilde asked.
"Because the two of you older and need to be in school."
"She's younger and can afford to miss a few days." Lucas explained.
As he lead the way towards the front door.
"Bye my loves. I love you." Brooke proclaimed. Hugging the boys and kissing their foreheads.
"Bye momma. By Sage." The boys replied.
"Momma is it girls day?" Sage asked.
Brooke smiled warmly as the young girl came from the kitchen and sat down on her lap.
She was all dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
"It is. We're going to do our fingers and toes. And do whatever else you want." Brooke explained.
"Yay!" Sage exclaimed.
Awhile Later
Sage had styled Brooke's hair. Brooke styled Sage's hair.
The mother/daughter had matching finger nails and toes.
One side purple the other pink.
Brooke pressed play to restart the wizard of oz.
It was Sage's favorite movie.
Brooke then left the kitchen to refill the snack tray.
