Okay, I haven't worked on this for the last year because of a challenge I took to not work on fanfics for a year. The year is over with now so, I'm back! My work schedule has changed though so I will be working more hours this year than I did in the past so I won't be updating as often.

I really need to learn my military protocols that aren't Hulk related. My head was swimming and I was nowhere close to finding the answers that I needed. Huffing to myself, I propped my elbow up on the ledge nearest me, resting my chin on top of my fist. "Why can't you just make everything easy for me for once Ross." A couple of soldiers walked past right then, chatting about something... not entirely sure what though. Upon realizing that they mentioned Bucky Barnes, I decided to follow them...invisibly. Despite what others might say, I do know how to be sneaky.

"... Once we get them removed, it'll be a piece of cake to take out the rest of the Avengers that didn't sign those Accords and take over the world." The goon, I mean soldier, on the right chuckled as he blatantly discussed his plan for world dominion.

The one on the left tilted his head to the side. "And Ross is still completely clueless?"

"Yeah...idiot doesn't realize we're HYDRA." Okay then. I guess that answers that. I glanced over at a nearby security camera, a smirk crossing my face. They're secret is totally safe until someone (*cough* me *cough*) leaks that footage to say non-evil higher-ups and the media. Fighting the urge to cackle at that idea, I flew up to the camera. Pulling out a flash drive, I made a mental note to get all the evidence to support this find as well. One only makes the same mistake a few times before getting better.

I glanced at the watch on my wrist, a grin growing as I noted the time. Looks like I'm only going to miss two days of school this time. Cool cool. I still need to tell Ned and MJ that the internship went well and will be a continuous thing from now on.

"THAT'S SO AWESEOME!" Ned yelled out as he spun in a circle, a grin splattered on his face. "Can you believe it MJ? Our little nerd is all grown up... getting cozy with SI employees..."

I buried my face into my hands, struggling to either not to laugh or groan, I wasn't sure which. MJ glared at Ned, her facial expression unimpressed. "Please... Peter is his own person... not some pet that we've taken care of together."

"Thank you MJ!" I gestured wildly at her, relief flooding me. "I'm not getting cozy with anyone. It's literally just a job." A job that I didn't need at all and technically still don't have. "Besides, you're still coming over to put together that new Lego set that we bought tonight, right?"

"You know it!" Ned fist bumped me, just as the bell rang. "See you at lunch!"

I numbly nodded in agreement, even as I shifted my focus to MJ, "See you at lunch too?" Wow... I sound really weird and dumb right now. MJ merely looked at me, before walking off to her first class of the day.

I bit into my sandwich, wondering vaguely how much more would I have to eat if I was still alive. Before I got my spider powers, I didn't have to eat anything at all, now though I needed to eat the same amount has everyone else. Ned plopped down next to me, his lunch tray thumping against the table. "Oh man, did you hear? General Ross has been fired from his job and War Machine was promoted to said job! How cool is that!?"

I fought the urge to smirk, wondering vaguely if his Current Events Class had covered it this morning. "An Avenger as Head of Security for the entire Nation? Yeah, I think that's pretty cool."

"Don't forget losers, something big went down and the UN rewrote some international law majorly...and they're due to sign the new ones sometime today." MJ joined us right then, already pulling out her sketchbook as she bit into her apple.

I blinked at that, confusion immediately flooding through me. I literally had no idea what she was talking about there. "What?"

A snort escaped her, even as she fished out her phone, sliding it towards me. I carefully picked it up, scanning what the article that was pulled up said. "Uh...what are the accords?"

"No idea. But you can ask Dr. Stark when your with him for your internship."

I nearly fell through my seat upon hearing that, panic flashing through me. "I didn't say anything about him being my mentor for the internship!"

Ned shrugged as he spooned up some mush that I suspected was supposed to be mashed potatoes. "Dude come on... it's so obvious that the intern thing is just a cover for Spiderman. By the way, I'm gonna be so mad if you don't get me all of the Avengers autographs."

I blinked at that, my mouth opening and closing like a dumb fish. "What...?"

MJ sighed as she finally glanced up from her sketchbook. "Come on loser. We've known for a while now."

I promptly met my head to the table. "How? I thought I was being so careful... even Aunt May doesn't know!"

"Maybe later... people are starting to stare and this is a conversation that needs to be done somewhere private." MJ pointed out, more like glared, at a group of cheerleaders that were hovering nearby.

"Great..." What even is my afterlife!?

I fidgeted slightly as I slid into the backseat of the car that Happy was driving today. "How was school?" Happy grunted out, his eyes darting to the thankfully small and already healing bruise on my cheek.

"It was okay." If one ignored the whole my best friends for this section of my afterlife knew about me being Spiderman...
