Celebrating New Year's with their children was wondrous to Buck and Tommy. They hadn't planned on doing so with a newborn but they were rolling with the changes. "Daddy, can I stay up until midnight?" six year old Aviva checked.

"Yes, you can stay up until midnight. Good luck," Buck told her with a grin, dropping a kiss on the top of her head.

Three year old Avalon skeptically glanced at her sister as Tommy swooped in to pick her up. She glared at him, and he laughed. "Let's see how this goes."

Avery's wail pierced the air. "Duty calls!" Buck murmured after a brief kiss with Tommy.

They didn't want to spend this holiday any other way.
