Ring Ring Ring

Judy groaned as she rolled to pick up her phone, she blinked away the sleepy blur from her eyes as she looked at who was calling. It took her brain a few seconds to register that it was one of her new friends.

"Hello?" She asked, slowly she rolled out the bed shuffling into her baby pink bunny slippers.

"Oh man, did I wake you up? I am so sorry," the person began to freak out a little, apologizing profusely.

"It's ok Eijirou, it's about time for me to wake up anyways. Is everything alright? Did you need something?" She yawned, shuffling into her kitchen to start her morning routine.

"Oh, well uh, I was calling to ask if you maybe wanted to uhm hang out at the cafe before school? M-mina's coming too, and I just wanted to know if you'd like to hang out with us," Eijirou stuttered, silently cursing himself for being so nervous.

Judy blinked in surprise, looking down at her coffee beans with a thoughtful look. "Sure I'd like that Eijirou. What time should I be there?" She smiled as she moved her phone to the other ear.

Eijirou felt his heart leap at her response, fumbling slightly as he looked at the text Mina had sent him an hour prior, "Uhm, 5:30. Is that a good time?" He asked nervously.

Judy looked at the time on her clock thoughtfully, "Yeah, that's perfect Eijirou. I'll see you later," She said before bidding him goodbye and hanging up. She glanced at the clock once more in thought, 4:05, it read.

Quickly she made her protein shake with some ground coffee bean, and moved to make a fruit salad. Judy cringed slightly at the bitter protein shake, shoveling her sweet fruit into her mouth to balance it out. After cleaning her dishes she made her way to the bathroom, making sure to grab her uniform as she went.

Stepping out of her quick shower Judy quickly groomed her fur with her favorite coconut oil, and a small drop of vanilla essence. After brushing her fur and brushing her teeth she threw her ears into a ponytail, and styled her small tuft of hair. Dressing herself she twirled in front of the mirror, feeling her heart flutter in excitement, she giggled as she saw her poofy tail wiggle.

Donning her shoes she grabbed her duffle bag and her school bag. Locking her dorm, she quickly left the alliance dorm building, making her way to the cafe to meet Eijirou and Mina. The morning air caressed her fur running its cool fingers along her ears. Judy sighed happily, closing her eyes to bask in the beautiful feeling, she loved the morning. It was always peaceful, maybe not quiet but very peaceful.

"Fuzzy butt!" Judy giggled before waving to Mina as she walked to them, a pool of excitement bubbling in her chest. Stopping in front of them she greeted them, talking for a few minutes before they made their way into the cafe. Quickly ordering they made their way to a table, all the while conversing about their day, and how fun it was to hang out the few days after the entrance exam.

"Oh! Judy, what class are you in? Eijirou and I are in class 1-A," Mina giggled excitedly.

"No way! I am too!" Judy exclaimed excitedly, proceeding to squeal with Mina as Eijirou shook his head, a smile making its way onto his face.

"Oh, I like the new hair-do Eijirou. It suits you," Judy smiled, as she looked at Eijirous new hair style.

Looking over to see if the waiter was bringing their order she missed seeing Mina wiggle her brows at a blushing Eijirou. He pushed her face away, a slightly annoyed look on his face, while Mina laughed at his embarrassment. Judy looked back curiously causing the two to straighten, as they tried to act like they weren't just being weird.

A ring interrupted their awkward silence, Judy pulled her phone from her pocket and squealed excitedly, "Lola! Good Morning, how's my beasties morning going so far?" She asked, gesturing for the two in front of her to wait.

"Judy! Oh my god Judy. It's out, It's out!" Lola chanted on the other side of the phone excitedly. Judy's brows crunched in confusion, "What's out Lola?" She asked inquisitively. "Our last basketball match, and it's our most popular match of the season! From what the coach said at the meeting, at least two million of our copies were sold!" Judy's jaw dropped at Lola's words.

"No way! That's awesome, holy carrots Lola!" Judy squealed, her feet tapping against the floor in excitement.

"Oh, and Judy Coach said she put your share of money from each match through the past few years into your bank. Oh, as well as your profits from the autographs, and your posters." Lola said proudly before bidding a shell-shocked Judy goodbye.

"Uhm, fuzzy butt you good?" Mina asked leaning over to close the girl's still open jaw.

Judy shook out of her stunned stupor opening her mouth to respond, only to be interrupted by screams. The three jumped before they were swarmed by a group of people, who looked at Judy in awe. "Oh my gosh! You're Judy Hopps, THE Judy Hopps! Can I please have your autograph," an older man let off a girly squeal as he shakily stretched out his hand, her latest basketball game CD. With a giggle and awkward smile she signed the CD, jumping back when he screamed in excitement, fighting back others who tried to grab at it.

After a good hour of signing copies of her CD's, and letting people have their picture taken, she sat back down, awkwardly looking up at two very shocked friends. "What was that?" Mina asked, gesturing to the now empty area.

"Uhm, I play basketball, and we recently played against a very popular basketball team. I'm a member of the Space Jam, and we're a team for my city. We aren't very well known, well we weren't until that game. So uhm, yep." Judy said as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"Can we see it?" Eijirou asked excitedly, almost vibrating in his seat at the mention of one his favorite sports.

Judy pulled out a limited edition of her own CD, one that only her team got. It was one of the best quality versions of the game, giving a better view of the game at all sides of the basketball court. The two smiled excitedly, eyeing the CD, "This is a holographic type of CD. I have the device needed to play it, but we can watch it when we get to class," Judy said happily. Not noticing how some of the people around drooped at hearing the last few words.

"Whoa, this is a huge door!" The small bunny girl exclaimed, her craning back as her eyes trailed up the length of the door.

Shaking her nerves, the three entered the class, surveying the few classmates who were already there. Mina had already begun dragging the two to a couple of empty seats, her patience waning as she thought about watching the basketball match. Plopping in her seat she looked at Judy, practically vibrating in her seat in excitement. Judy shook her head with a laugh, before sitting in the desk to the right of Mina and rummaging through her duffel bag and pulled out a disc sized device. Eijirou quickly sat in the desk to the left of Mina, watching as Judy got the device ready, unwrapping her CD and placing it in the device.

The unnamed students jumped in their skin when the sound of roaring crowds struck through the air. Their eyes quickly darted to the source of the disruption, a holographic video greeted them, and behind it were Mina, Judy, and Eijirou.

"Helloooo ladies and gentlemen of all kinds!" A voice echoed as the hologram zeroed in on a commentator.

"This season's major match is just giving me goosebumps, and it hasn't even started yet!" The commentator said excitedly as he leaned against his desk, his face breaking into a large grin.

"We have the Goon squad!" He gestured to a large paper poster that was splattered with different colors and in the middle, the bubble font Goon Squad, ripped apart as a team of scarily tall men and women jogged out. They waved excitedly to the roaring crowd.

The classroom grew quiet as they began to watch the hologram in interest.

"And we have our home team, THE SPACE JAMMERS!" The commentator screamed excitedly as he gestured to a tall white poster, a large red circle, and the words, Space Jam, in bold letters. It tore open as said team burst out, led by Lola, and Judy as they hopped and waved to the screaming crowd.

The classmates nearby shuffled closer to watch the hologram more intently.

"This match will decide who will move on to the international world cup next season!" The commentator said as he giddily showed off a screen panel that had images of the world international stadium.

"Ok, let's do a coin toss to decide who gets the first ball!" He said holding up a quarter, Space jam chose heads, leaving the Goon squad with tails. With the flip of his thumb the quarter flipped through the air, the camera zoomed in following the coin while it descended. The commentator caught it before slapping it down on the table. The camera zoomed in showing off the backside of the quarter.

The good squad roared in victory as they grabbed the basketball, a smug look in their eyes as they looked down at the other team. Then, with the blare of the buzzer the two teams were rushing at each other. The space jam squad defended any open members as their tallest teammate rushed towards the ball holder.

The ball holder smirked as he faked a dodge before rushing past, running for the opposing team's hoop. Judy and Lola rushed over to try and stop the point from happening, but his team quickly defended him. The buzzer roared as the number 1, flashed beside the goon squad's name.

.

The class slowly grew as more people showed up, quickly drawn to the holographic match that was happening. The class hissed in unison when the space jammers were being pummeled in the game. Then, in an instant the game flipped on its side, soon Judy and her team were dominating the playing field. Scoring hoop after hoop, every once in a while, they lost a hoop, giving the other team the chance to score.

Then, the camera zoomed in on a sweat drenched Judy as she was surrounded by three Goon Squad team members. The class sucked in a breath as her heels inched closer to the white line, before sighing in relief as she thrust the ball under the middle defenders' legs. Judy slid in between the left and center defender, quickly snatching the ball as the other team's fingers grazed the ball. She quickly faked a fake pass, and the class watched as she smiled smugly, the other team surrounded her teammate. The class watched as the ball soared through the air falling into the other bunnies' hands, and with a hop she slammed the ball into the hoop.

The class listened as the hologram grew quiet, the camera zoomed in towards the score board, and the hologram sounded with the cheers of the stadium as they saw that the space jam's won.

"Holy crap Judy! That was so nerve-wracking and awesome!" Mina squealed in excitement as the hologram flickered off. Judy rubbed the back of her neck bashfully, as she felt her cheeks grow warm. The group dispersed as the other classmates went to their own desks, still conversing with each other about the match they just saw. A group of girls stayed around Judy, and Mina as they conversed.

"I'm Jirou Kyouka."

"I'm Asui Tsuyu."

"My name's Uraraka Ochaco!"

Judy smiled up at the new girls as they introduced themselves excitedly to her. She happily introduced herself to them, unaware of the angry vermillion orbs that glared at her from across the room.

"If you're here to make friends, then you can leave." A stern voice chilled the classmates, as they searched the room trying to figure out who said that.

Judy watched as a yellow caterpillar? Began to stand upright before turning into a very tired and disheveled looking man. The class grew quiet as they looked at the man, some stunned, others a little scared. "This is a bit sudden but change into these and meet me at the training field outside." He said, pulling out a blue and white tracksuit.

Judy pulled her shirt off after pulling the pants on, quickly looking up at the gasps in the locker room. She looked at them in confusion before following their gaze to her toned furry midsection, "You guys all good?" She asked nervously.

"Why are you hot?" Mina cried dramatically as she clung to Judy, "Oooooo, Judy you're so soft!" Mina squealed. Shoving her off playfully Judy pulled the shirt on, laughing as Mina's offended face came into view.

The girls joined the rest of the class as they conversed with each other. Judy shivered when she felt something cold behind her, turning quickly she felt her insides turn into putty at the gorgeous boy she remembered running into. He was staring down at her, she felt her fur grow warm as she felt his heterochromic eyes watch her. She stepped away from the close proximity, feeling her heart stutter horribly. She was so focused on not turning to goo from the gorgeous boy beside her, that she didn't hear the commotion from the students learning they'd be doing a quirk apprehension test.

"Hopps? You got first place in the entrance exam, what was your farthest throw in junior high?" Aizawa asked, the students' heads cracked as they whipped their heads around in surprise to stare at the bunny girl.

"Oh uhm, well I'm assuming you mean middle school? I didn't grow up here in Japan, but uhm I'd say my farthest throw was 56 meters." She said, fumbling slightly in confusion at his question.

"Right, throw this ball, use your quirk any way you want. Just stay in the circle, hurry up," he said, tossing the ball to the girl.

"Would it be ok to use my legs? If I throw it up?" She asked, knowing if she did throw it, it wouldn't go very far. With an affirmation from the teacher, she made her way to the center of the white circle.

Breathing in and she threw the ball up before jumping high, rearing her leg back and kicking it as hard as she could midair. Flipping as she fell, she landed in a crouch, watching as the ball soared away. "Before anything else, one must know what they're capable of, and this test is designed to test your limits," Aizawa said before turning a phone-like device in his hand.

556 Meters Judy hopped back to the others excitedly, quite happy with her score. The others burst into excited chatter, "Awesome! This looks like fun!" The comment caused the teacher to grin sinisterly.

""It looks fun you say. So… You were all planning to spend three years having a good time while making friends?" His icy tone instantly silenced the students, they quickly looked back at their teacher.

"Through this quirk apprehension test you'll be tested, and at the end whoever places last… will be expelled," he said sternly.

"What? But that's not fair!" Uraraka said but was instantly shut up at Aizawa's response.

"Unfair? Then what about natural disasters? Massive accidents? Villain attacks? All kinds of unfairness are hurled at heroes on a day-to-day basis and it's our job to turn that unfairness around. If you were expecting to have a friendly chat at a fast-food joint right after class, then you're sorely mistaken. From now, for the next three years of your life in this school, U.A. is going to be throwing one hardship after another at you. This is 'Plus Ultra'. I expect you to overcome these hardships and climb to the top." He finished his rose-tinted shattering speech.

.

TRIAL 1: 50 Meter dash

Judy felt her neck tilt as she looked at the tall man beside her, Iida Tenya, before looking over to her new friend, Tsuyu Asui. The three got ready, Judy slipped her shoes off to give her bunny feet more of a chance to push her forward. Crouching down into sprinters position she breathed in slowly, letting the noise die around her, then let her breath out slowly.

She shot forward at the signal feeling her muscles clench and snap as they pushed her faster. The tall boy darted past her as they crossed the finish line, Tsuyu following closely after.

Iida Tenya: 3.05

Judy Hopps: 4.01

Tsuyu Asui: 5.58

"Wow you're super-fast! That's so cool!" Judy hopped to the navy-blue haired boy, her nose and tail wiggling excitedly. Tenya stepped back in surprise before having to look away, as himself and most of the class thought the same thing, 'So cute!', he cleared his throat before looking down at the bunny girl. "My quirk is called engine, I have engines in my calf that allow me to sprint at high speeds," he said, proudly explaining his quirk.

"Wow, that's so cool. If you haven't noticed, my quirk is bunny. I can do anything a bunny can do, but more powerful." She said her poofy tail wiggled in excitement, and Mina couldn't take it anymore.

"You're so cute!" Mina cried as she pulled the bunny girl to her chest, crying as her heart felt ready to burst from the cuteness known as Judy Hopps. Judy pulled away to watch her classmates go through the dash, making sure to pay attention to each one of them. She tilted her head in confusion as she watched the wimpy green haired boy run. She could smell his quirk, but wondered why he didn't use it? She could tell from the smell that it was a very powerful quirk. She would ask later, if she remembered.

.

.

Grip Test

Judy didn't exactly have a very strong grip strength, only getting a measly 78 kg, well to her it wasn't that strong. She perked up at hearing the commotion looking over to see one of the tallest people in her class score 540 kg. She wanted to go over but could smell a very nasty odor coming from beside the boy. So she opted to stay nearby the rather quiet teacher, feeling her ears twitch every time his pencil scratched the paper.

.

.

Standing Long Jump

Judy grinned as she sailed over the sandbox and landed beside her teacher, some of her classmates looking back and forth at trying to process how you jumped that high and far.

"Good job," She heard Aizawa say under his breath and she smiled up at him, her nose and tail wiggling happily.

.

.

Repeated sidestep

She placed just under the foul-smelling purple boy, she had to go and heave beside Mina trying to get the foul stench to leave her nostrils. Mina patted her back worriedly, as Judy tried to regain her bearings, if there was one thing Judy hated more than anything, it was her heightened senses.

.

.

Ball Throw

Judy dug her shoes into the ground as the kickback of the sparky blondes throw had air slamming into the classmates. After the wind died down Judy's eyes sparkled, her nose twitched as she looked at the boy's score. She couldn't control her excitement before she bounced over to the blonde boy who stood by her friend Eijirou.

"Oh my carrots! That was amazing, what's your quirk? That was so cool!" She squealed as she jumped around the blonde, unable to control her excitement. Said blonde watched in annoyance as the bunny girl hopped around him, but he couldn't help how his stomach flipped at the cute sight.

"I can make explosions," He grumbled, trying to keep his scowl up as he stared ahead. For he knew if he looked down at the bouncing bubbly bunny he'd lose his composure. If there was one dark secret Bakugo had, it had to be that he had a strong weakness for cute things, and the short bouncing bunny was no exception.

.

Judy finally calmed down - Much to the blondes relief- and began to pay attention, cheering and bouncing every time one of her friends went up. Her eyes grew big a doey with excitement when Uraraka got infinity, and she jumped around the girl, praising her and asking about her quirk.

.

Izuku stepped to the center of the field, thinking of the egg in the microwave as he tried to use his quirk, before gasping in confusion as his ball plopped not too far from him. He looked to the teacher, feeling his insides freeze at his teacher's glowing red eyes, and floating black hair.

"I've erased your impractical quirk." Aizawa growled. Judy immediately blocked her hearing, feeling like it was a personal conversation, quickly engaging in conversation with Eijirou. "If wimpy kale doesn't shape up he'll be sent home," Judy said worriedly. She heard someone choke at her words, and she turned to see the blonde boy, but he looked perfectly fine? Chalking it to her imagination she shrugged, turning back to Eijirou.

Like a switch the others began whispering about how Izuku might get expelled if he didn't use his quirk, "Stupid Deku doesn't have a quirk," Bakugo grunted in annoyance.

"What are you talking about? He has a quirk, he obliterated one of the robots during the entrance exam," Iida said as he adjusted his glasses.

"Are you delusional glasses?" Bakugo scoffed at the tall boy, before trying to keep his scowl up when the bunny girl puffed her cheeks angrily stomping over to him.

"He does have a quirk, if he didn't I wouldn't be able to smell it," Judy said, turning her nose in the air, and to add to the effect her nose wiggled. Bakugo felt himself strain as he fought his inner self to not just scoop the bunny up and cuddle her. He thanked the years of hiding his dark secret to be able to keep his scowl up.

Before he could let a snarky reply leave his lips they were startled when a loud boom rocketed through the air, and Judy couldn't brace herself. The gust of air had her tumbling into Bakugos chest, who took the chance of everybody too focused on shielding their eyes to grasp the bunny girl, feeling his heart coo at how fluffy and soft she was. Quickly, too quickly for his liking he let go, making sure to expertly avoid the questioning gaze she sent his way.

He let his anger boil over as he screamed at Izuku, "DEKU?! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT; YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE A PEBBLE IN MY PATH!" He screamed angrily, before he could make it to the scared boy he was immediately bound up by something.

"Crap! Why is this so strong?" He grit as he fought against the white scarf, his anger still there but held back by his frustration and confusion.

"Stand down Bakugo, this capture weapon is made of carbon fiber. Quit struggling, using my quirk gives me a serious dry eye," Aizawa said in annoyance. The class collectively sweatdropped at that.

The boy made his way to the back shoving people aside as his anger brewed inside him, and Judy would have absolutely given him a piece of her mind. Well that is if she hadn't smelled the strong sorrow, confusion, and anger that rolled off him. She figured that the two knew each other pretty well, and ignoring the silent warnings from her friends she made her way to Bakugo silently standing beside him. No talking, no looks, just acceptance, and she made it a point to make him see that she was not going to judge him. She had to clench her jaw when she smelled the strong scent of sorrow, and betrayal that rolled off of him. Because of that, she felt herself feel a little bit of resentment towards the wimpy kale boy.

.

.

Distance Run

Judy panted as she ran alongside Mina, watching as some of the more competitive classmates sprinted along. "So, huff, how do, huff, you think you, huff, did?" Judy asked the equally exhausted Mina.

The girl weakly raised her thumb, too busy trying to breathe to answer her. So Judy focused ahead pushing her leg muscles in the last stretch, sprinting past some of the students who tried to sprint the whole time, and ended up weakly jogging as they wheezed. She jogged to a stop panting as she went to stand by Iida and Bakugo.

.

.

"Ok here are the results," Aizawa said as he pulled up the screen.

1st Momo Yaoyorozu 6th Fumikage Tokoyami 11th Ochaco Uraraka 16th Hanta Sero

21st Izuku Midoriya

Judy giggled as her gaggle of girlfriends quickly jumped on her, congratulating her on 2nd place, and she did the same. Their eyes trailed down the list, and Judy felt herself cringe at the name of the last person.

"And I was lying, nobody is being expelled," Aizawa grumped, causing the students to screech in shocked relief.

"Of course it was a lie, I'm sorry for not saying anything. I just assumed everybody knew," Momo said as she looked out at the class. Before anyone could say anything Judy stepped forward, causing the attention to shift to her.

"No he wasn't, because of my extremely sensitive senses I can tell when someone is lying. He was not lying about expelling anyone," Judy dropped the nuke on the class who screamed at the revelation. The teacher however, his eyes widened slightly at being caught.

"These kids…." He whispered before a grin stretched across his face.

.

.

.

The girls chatted amongst each other as they made their way back to class, still buzzing from the excitement of using their quirks. Judy was positively starving so she made quick work of telling everyone goodbye, and going back to her dorm room.

"Hey Jude Dude, how's my favorite girl?" Lola asked after answering her phone.

"Gurrrllllaahhh, this school is tots no joke, like woah," Judy said as she slid down on her couch, taking a bite from her extra cheesy veggie pizza.

The two had a long conversation, going about their usual business as they stayed on the phone. They got on a game of COD, screaming at each other as they avoided death, and groaned when they were killed. They talked over the phone, screaming every once in a while as they played the game.

"YEEETT!" Judy cackled as she made her player drop kick an enemy player off their base. She wheezes when she reads the name, snickering as she calls out to Lola. "What!" Lola replied from the other end of the phone. "Dude I just kicked an enemy off the base with the dumbest name I've ever seen. It was, oh my good it's so cringy. Lord explosion murder," Judy wheezed. Lola grew quiet before she busted out laughing on the other end of the phone.

.

.

Judy brushed her teeth before she snuggled into her bed, letting sleep tug her mind into the dark abyss. She wasn't ready for what awaited her, and she would do anything to get away from her sleep.
