The girls had agreed to spend the night in 2J, sleeping in the living room - which sparked a heated discussion with their boyfriends, who would have been happy to give up their beds for them. That proposal was unanimously rejected by the girls. On New Year's Day they all had breakfast together and as the hours passed, a relaxed atmosphere spread throughout the apartment.

Lucy was standing at the window looking down at the pool when James came up to her and asked with his mischievous James Diamond smile, "Well, I bet you've got a spare helmet in your apartment, right?"

"Yes."

"So, what do you say if we go for a little ride together?"

Lucy raised her eyebrows. "Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Come on, it can't be worse than the first time, can it? You'll see, I'll be a lot cooler the second time, I promise."

Lucy smirked. "Okay, Mr. Diamond. We will do that."

James grinned and gave her a peck on the lips.

Kendall sat down on the couch next to Jo. "I'm sorry about last night. I just wanted to offer you something different than the same old picnics in the park."

"Well, you may not know that, but I happen to love these picnics," Jo said with a cautious smile.

"I just don't want our relationship to become boring to you at some point."

She tilted her head, scooting closer to him. "How about this, if the unlikely event ever arises that I get bored in our relationship, I will tell you about it and then we can look for a solution together, agreed?"

Kendall smiled. "That's all I wanted to hear."

Jo laughed and they leaned in to kiss.

Camille was standing at the kitchen counter when Logan suddenly came up behind her, put his arms around her waist, pulling her close.

"Careful, honey, our friends might see us," she teased.

"Yeah, maybe you and the guys are right. I should really start standing up for what's important to me, with everything that comes with it."

"And what exactly is important to you?"

"Not what, who," Logan replied with a grin and kissed her. Afterwards he said, "You know...maybe we can celebrate the New Year again tonight...in a different kind of way..."

Camille laughed. "It's a date," she said, leaning against his chest.

Carlos leaned against the wall, grinning, watching the boys talking to their girlfriends. Maybe this was the best New Year they had ever spent together. Alexa stood next to him. "Are you feeling better?"

"Much better," he replied, beaming. "Everyone came, everything is perfect."

"But you know that there will probably come a day when you guys might not be able to be together on New Year's, right?"

Carlos nodded. "Oh, I know that."

She looked surprised and Carlos continued, "But as long as we all live under the same roof, it's not too much to ask to celebrate together, is it?"

Alexa thought about his words. "I guess you're right." Then the thoughtfulness was gone, and a gentle smile appeared on her face. She took his hand. "Well, no matter what happens in the future, I will always be ready to spend the New Year with you."

And Carlos beamed, intertwining their hands together.
