She didn't remember many things; everything was a blur of things that did and did not exist; she remembered some names but not others; she didn't even know her own name, and that was before being frozen by some weird creature; it was all creepy.

Though when she woke up, she started remembering things, though not a lot.

"Sonic!" Sally said as she looked around the room and saw that outside of one outlander boy clad in strange clothes, she was surrounded by giants, all looking like outlanders but...uncanny, and not because three of them were basically naked, had the muscles of gods, and were also oiled up.

One was a tall red giant, armor adorning his frame and massive wings on his back, along with...nipple horns? He was the one currently looking down at her while looking at something; he then spoke, "Well, I think my theory is correct."

"CONGRATS, MAGI MAGIC." Sally turned and tensed up when she saw a giant skeleton sitting on a golden throne, adorned with helmets and skulls along with unknown tech flowing into the Machine, was that thing alive?

"Huh, guess the xenos we see are that small." A giant adorned in golden armor said, probably what the oiled-up ones should look like considering the similarity in stature and helmet; it also wielded some sort of halberd mixed with what seemed to be a heavy-caliber weapon.

"Boy. Get behind me." A larger giant said, racking an incredibly large shotgun as the small outlander boy hid behind him, like a son would hide behind a father. Sally stood, terrified and confused about what she should do or what she could do.

The room soon fell into silence, no one speaking while Sally tried to remember what had happened before she woke up. Eventually the large red one spoke, "Well then, introductions should be in order, so! I am Magnus, the best sorcerer around and son of that skeletal bastard sitting on his fancy throne." The last part said with a hint of venom.

"I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO GETS TO CALL ME THAT." The giant skeleton spoke, sounding like some sort of machine. The golden-armored giant spoke as he approached Sally, "Well, I am Captain General-"

"His name is Kitten." One of the oiled-up giants said, though Sally kept her ire off them because they just looked uncanny and also way too oiled up. The golden-armored giant sighed and mumbled, "I often wonder why I even do this."

"Greetings, small Xeno. I am Lord Adorable."

"NO, YOU ARE FUCKING NOT; HE IS ROGAL DORN, MY PRAETORIAN, AND THE REASON I HAVE THIS EYE HERE." The skeleton said again that this led to an argument between multiple of the giants, including the oiled upped ones.

This gave Sally the opportunity to try and sneak away, hopefully being small enough so she could hide in places the giants couldn't reach. As she walked, she eventually stumbled into the outlander boy, who was missing an eye and whose ears seemed to be cybernetic.

'Poor kid...' Sally thought, and the boy spoke, "Where are you going?" He said, and Sally spoke as the giants continued to argue, "Somewhere, not here...can you help me?" The boy responded as he shook his head, "Adorable wouldn't like me helping a... a xeno."

'Huh. That's a new slur.' Sally thought and replied, "Just please..." The boy eventually spoke, "Okay." The boy said, and Sally followed him out of the massive room, hoping that the boy could lead her to a way out of whatever this place is...

"Please, please have mercy!" The xeno yelled before the crack of a las gun was heard while Apothecary Sydar watched over the mortals of the Steel Legion cleansing the xeno settlement below. The xenos tried to fight back with melee weapons and las weaponry, but those don't do much against imperial armor.

The former eleven, now nine brother tactile squad sat at the ready, ammunition and wargear being checked again and again until they were sure that everything was ready. With Sergeant Gorar's arm having been hastily reattached, another brother up spoke as Gorar observed the mortals do their work.

"This work should be reserved for scouts, not us." Brother Cestian complained, his MKIV helmet staring into the trees surrounding them. Gorar responded as he stood up, "Our scouts are currently employed alongside our cousin chapter's scouts. We are also here to provide support to the mortals if they engage any enemy that may require our skill."

"Would that be the one Xeno that cut your arm off?" Brother Sullus voiced, melta gun slung to the side while he inspected his combat knife. Gorar nodded and spoke, "That xeno moved as fast or faster as the wrenches of the Eldar; it seemingly used its own body to cut through my arm."

"Brother Rubion, you served in the deathwatch; perhaps you may have the expertise to slay the xeno if we encounter it again." Brother Cestian voiced, and Rubion, his left arm bearing the mark of the Deathwatch along with his MK6 helmet.

"Perhaps." Rubion voiced, and the group sat until Brother Arus's auspex went off, signaling that some were approaching their position, and it was approaching it fast—faster than anything they've ever seen. Gorar drew his power sword, squeezing the handle and powering on the blade.

"Brothers! The xeno draws near; prepare for battle!" He bellowed, and the squad readied their weapons; it had to be the same creature that previously cut Gorar's arm off. Everyone circled around and watched the area for where the xeno would be coming from.

Though they were soon pelted by stubber rounds, chipping and scratching the paint on their armor, the squad still stood strong. Gorar laughed until their attacker exited the tree line, showing the squad it wasn't the same xeno.

"Kill it!" Gorar yelled, and the air was soon filled with bolt shells as the xeno sped around them with ease. Sydar had to wonder: How did these xenos have such incredible speeds?

Shadow dodged and weaved through the barrage of fire, reaching onto the holster on his thigh and pulling out a desert eagle, firing shot after shot into the giants until scoring a hit by shooting at the neck. The warrior clawed at it and dropped his weapon; he quickly threw the desert eagle away after hearing it click empty.

'This will be useful.' Shadow said as he slid and picked up the weapon before yelling, "Chaos Control!" Quickly teleporting onto one of the other giants, Shadow emptied three of the large caliber rounds into the warrior's neck, the head popping off in a shower of gore and armor.

He jumped off and emptied the magazine of the weapon into another as he then sped up and kicked one in the head, adding additional power to his jet shoes so that part of the helmet and the giant's face melted off.

Shadow soon ducked under the swing of the leading giant's blade. Shadow thinking quickly summoned a chaos spear and thrust it into the giant's armor, piercing through it with ease, and out through the other side, the giant tensed up for a second before trying to shoot Shadow with its gun.

'Either two hearts...' Shadow thought as he humped back before then sliding underneath another, grabbing one of their grenades, pulling the pin, and chucking the giant. The grenade detonates almost the instant it hits the giant, blowing it apart and sending its strange weapon next to Shadow.

Shadow kicked it up and squeezed the trigger, sending a massive heat blast into another giant, melting through it as Shadow then dodged a strike from the giant wielding the sword. Shadow smirked as he then fired another blast, melting off one of the giant's legs and a good part of his torso.

Shadow dove underneath a few bolt shells and grabbed the giant to use as a shield. The warrior that had part of his helmet and face melted off charged at Shadow with a combat knife as long as his arm, screaming, "For the Emperor!"

Shadow smirked and spun around before chucking the leading giant's body at the charging warrior; both fell to the ground as Shadow then picked up the sword and charged the remaining giants, cutting one down by slashing across his torso armor before stabbing another in the head.

The one that Shadow originally shot with his desert eagle stood up, unholstering a smaller version of the larger weapons his allies were using. Shadow dodged a shot before chucking the blade into the warrior's chest.

Shadow then grabbed onto two of the large weapons and emptied the mags into the surviving warriors, hearing the satisfying thump of the guns until they clicked empty. Shadow then spoke as he looked at the carnage surrounding him.

"Pathetic." Shadow said as he walked through, picking up some of the weapons until he saw one of the giants stand up, colored white instead of gray and yellow aside from his left shoulder. The warrior spoke, armor battered as it unholstered a combination of a chainsaw and a sword.

"Strength in Purity!" The giant yelled defiantly. Shadow smirked only to summon a Chaos Spear and chuck it into the giant's head. The giant soon fell down as Shadow walked towards the settlement. The bastards made it quite obvious where they were going with the tracks, destruction, and scorching of the terrain; they clearly weren't interested in stealth.

Shadow slid down a hill before using that momentum to jump over a part of the settlement's wall, landing amongst a squad of humans clad in thick clothing, light armor, and gas masks, all wielding a small black rifle.

Before they could even react, Shadow had slain five of them with the giant's blade before firing the remaining rounds of one of the giant weapons into the others, blowing their bodies apart and sending chunks of Gore all over the place.

He dropped the large weapon and grabbed one of the rifles. He walked around the corner only to immediately have to jump away as a tank shell impacted right where he was. He turned and saw, well, a quite old-looking tank, to be honest.

Dual sponsons of what seemed to be an even larger version of the weapons the giants carried rained fire down the street along with groups of humans, laser fire striking around him as he then jumped in the air, and in combination with his normal spin dash, he cut through the tanks armor like nothing and landed inside of it.

The crew of it were stunned before quickly unholstering their sidearms, though soon enough each were slumped in their chairs as a laser bolt struck each in the chest. Shadow jumped out the tank and fired down on those remaining.

This continued on, firefight after firefight until the last remaining soldiers retreated in APCs and IFVs. Shadow looted some of the bodies before inspecting the settlement, trying to find survivors, though he only found a slaughter.

The restoration force there had been killed to the last man and many of the civilians as well, though that didn't mean all were dead as Shadow soon found a bunker holding survivors. He walked down the steps and spoke as he gestured for them to leave.

"They're gone; I recommend all of you try and head to the next settlement over; I'll escort you." Shadow said, and the survivors started to migrate up the stairs, many thanking him as they gathered outside.

Once all were gathered, Shadow started escorting them out of the settlement and into the surrounding forest. Shadow sighed as he looked back at the settlement. If Sonic complained about him killing the enemy, then Shadow would show him the survivors.

They were the enemy, and they had spilled first blood; this was simply Shadow having them get even with this force; he also smirked, since he had probably killed the giant that had wounded Sonic, that would give him an edge.

Now just to get these people a new home...

Tails sat in his workshop at Restoration HQ, blueprints and prototypes of new weaponry and armor laying about. With all the funding he needed plus the occasional help from EggMan, the restoration would get a new set of weaponry and armor in no time.

Considering how they fared against this new enemy, they needed it since no one wanted another ARK massacre, something the troops started to call the first encounter with the new enemy.

Though they weren't alone since Remnant G.U.N. forces, or just G.U.N. in general since apparently they had been able to rebuild faster than the restoration, had also been called in to support the restoration since the ARK was technically under their control and thus this enemy had attacked them first.

As he worked on some new weapons, the door opened, and Tails looked over to see it was Cream bringing in a fresh pair of cookies. Cream spoke as she placed the cookies next to Tails, "How's it going, Tails?"

Tails responded after eating one of the cookies, "Good, the funds Amy gave plus EggMan are definitely helpful; it's just... well, I never thought we would be again in a war so soon." Cream spoke as she hugged Tail, "Don't worry, you guys will beat them, just like the scary aliens and EggMan."

Tails smiled, a slight blush on his face as he responded, "Thanks Cream, and hey, with EggMan on our side along with G.U.N., I think we may have a good chance against these guys." Tails said until he was then messaged on his Miles Electric.

'Come to the command room, now.' It said, and Tails nodded, with Cream following behind him until they reached the command room. Everyone gathered around a holographic projection of what seemed to be a double-headed eagle; a voice then came out.

"Greetings Denizens of this unknown world, I am Lord Admiral Sevemal of Battle Fleet Extior. I am here to give you all an offer: either surrender and allow Imperial forces to exterminate the xenos on your world along with your heretical beliefs so you may fall under Imperial rule, or face the consequences and have to fight against your masters."

"We are the instruments of the God Emperor of Mankind and his glorious Imperium; your world will fall if you do not bend your knee." The projection cut out, and everyone stood in silence before EggMan, still only visiting in hologram form, laughed before speaking, "God, Emperor; well, I guess our blue rat here is off to destroy another god."

Sonic chuckled and spoke, "Well, it may take some more time considering this is some empire, which, I may add, seems like they have had more success in empire building than you, EggHead." EggMan groaned, and Silver spoke, "So we're not bending the knee, correct?"

Everyone nodded, and Amy spoke, "Well. I guess we know who we're fighting now." Blaze spoke as she placed a few markers on the table, "We may be fighting more forces than we expected; I'll see if I can divert more forces from the empire."

"Never fought against another empire before; guess I'll take down these imperial fellas before destroying you, Sonic." EggMan boasted, and Sonic chuckled before speaking, "That's if I don't beat them first. Guess our work is cut out for us, so, Tails, whatcha think?"

Tails spoke as he raised his fist, "We beat the black arms; we beat EggMan."

"Standing right here."

"We'll beat this imperium!" Tails said, and everyone cheered in agreement; they would win; they had to. They'll make sure this Imperial fleet is sent back crying to its Emperor...
