Our heroes are getting closer and closer to Zeuser City so that Davis can have his eighth gym battle. At the moment, they're taking another break so that they could have some lunch.

"Hey. I found some water for everyone." Davis said as he came in with jugs of water.

"Great." Cletus said as he was working on some lunch. "We're now just missing Terra to get back here with firewood." As they were getting lunch ready, they weren't aware that they were being watched. The Nymphix they helped earlier was following them and appeared to be watching them from afar. Something about Davis caught Nymphix's interest. However, when Davis turned in the direction Nymphix was watching, she hid behind a tree.

"That's weird. I thought there was something there for a second." Davis said, but just brushed the whole thing off. Meanwhile, Terra was gathering firewood like Cletus said.

"There. That should be plenty." Terra said as she thought she had enough. Just as she was about to head back, she heard something moving around in the bushes. Then, she spotted something. It looked just like a peacock with its main body covered in beautiful blue feathers with its tailfeathers lush green with a teal eye-pattern. When Terra saw that, she was so stunned and surprised that she couldn't help herself from screaming.

(Davis' voice) Beauty is Feather Deep

Davis and the others heard Terra scream and thought she was in trouble. They all dropped what they were doing and hurried to help her. When they found her, she was just standing there and looked completely stunned.

"Terra! We heard you scream!" Cletus said.

"What happened?!" Davis said.

"I can't believe my eyes. I just saw a Beaucock!" Terra said.

"Beaucock?" Davis questioned. Thinking it's a pokemon, he pulled out his pokedex to learn more about it.

"Beaucock, the Peacock Pokemon. A normal and flying-type. The eye-pattern on their tailfeathers can be alluring, but can also be used for intimidation. Many say that Beaucock rival with Milotic as the most beautiful pokemon."

"It rivals with Milotic as the most beautiful?" Davis said.

"It does look rather pretty." Cletus said.

"It's not just pretty! They're beautiful, and it was right there in front of me! I was so stunned to see one that I froze and let it go!" Terra said with her sounding so excited. "I've always dreamed of having a Beaucock. They're one of the most fabulous pokemon there is, and one of my favorite! Now that I know there's one in this forest, I can't let it slip from my fingers! I just have to catch it!"

"You owning a Beaucock? Don't make me laugh."

"Wait a second." Terra said as she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand. "I recognize that voice." She was hoping she was wrong, but she turned around and saw she was right. "Rita!"

"Why is it you're always around to try and ruin things for me?" Rita said.

"Ruin? What are you talking about?" Imperialdramon questioned.

"I think I know. You're here to catch a Beaucock yourself." Cletus figured.

"That's right. After all, a beautiful pokemon like that should belong to someone like me." Rita claimed. "Don't even bother going after it. That Beaucock is going to be mine, especially once I use this on it." She claimed as she held up a special pokeball.

"That's a luxury ball!" Cletus said.

"That's right. A pokemon like Beaucock deserves one of luxury." Rita said. "Once I use this on it, I will have the pokemon I so deserve. Got that?! Keep out of this! That Beaucock is mine!" Once she made that clear, she took off to make sure her words become reality. Unable to stand her as usual, Terra got really irritated and even more fired up.

"I have just as much right and just as much of a chance to that Beaucock as she does." Terra said. "I've always wanted a Beaucock, so I'm not going to back down."

"Well, after how she just talked, we'll help you." Davis said. "I love sticking it to people like her. Of course, we need to find it first." He reached for one of his pokeballs and released Skyjay.

"Skyjay!"

"Skyjay, look around! Terra needs your help to find a Beaucock that she wants to catch!" Davis said. Skyjay understood and started searching. "Don't worry, Terra. We'll help you catch that Beaucock."

"Thanks. Let's get looking. We need to get to Beaucock before Rita does." Terra said. All of them took off to start searching for Beaucock. In fact, those four searchers is going to be five. Nymphix went after them and started searching herself.

Beaucock

Beaucock just simply walked around the forest without any worries. Beaucock truly were elegant pokemon. They just walked around like they were figures of royalty, elegance exuding from them without even trying, but this one doesn't appear to act snobby from it. It just simply keeps its head up and kept moving until it reached bush with berries on it.

"Beau." Beau pulled off one of the berries and started pecking away at it to eat it.

"There you are!" Beaucock's eating was disturbed with it seeing Rita and her Mismagius. "A pokemon like you deserves to be with a trainer like me. You'll be mine soon enough." As Rita was getting ready to battle Beaucock, Skyjay spotted them and hurried back to tell Davis and the others. "Get me that Beaucock, Mismagius! Attack it with Psywave!"

"Mismagius!" Mismagius attacked by unleashing a psychic wave. It blasted against Beaucock, but it was able to endure it. Beaucock pushed the attack aside and charged right at Mismagius with a Wing Attack. Beaucock jumped right at Mismagius and left a powerful strike against it.

"Step it up! I want that Beaucock!" Rita ordered. MisMagius tried to get back in the battle, but Beaucock attacked again by using Aerial Ace and landed another powerful attack against Mismagius. "That Beaucock is much tougher than it looks."

"There they are!" Rita turned around and saw Terra and the boys hurrying over. Not wanting to let Terra get the better of her, she grabbed the luxury ball.

"Too late! It's mine!" Rita called and just threw the pokeball. Terra was worried she was too late, but Beaucock easily knocked the pokeball away with its wing and it smashed against Rita's face so hard that it knocked her off her own feet. After that happened, Beaucock just ran off.

"Beaucock, wait!" Terra called.

"Pardon us!" Cletus said with all of them running past Rita. Terra had her eyes set on Beaucock and she wasn't going to let it go.

"Beaucock, wait! I think you're a beautiful and fabulous pokemon!" Terra called, but Beaucock ignored it. What Beaucock did do was jump to a rock and spread its tailfeathers. As it did that, it was gathering light.

"Watch out! It's about to use Solar Beam!" Imperialdramon warned. Beaucock fired the attack, but they all jumped out of the way as the attacked blasted right through the ground. The Solar Beam blasted right through the place until it passed through the trees and bushes.

"Ari!"

"What was that?!" Davis said. All of them looked to where the attack went and saw a bunch of Ariados come out, and they all looked rather mad. "Ariados!"

"Not good! There must have been a nest over there!" Cletus said. All of the angry Ariados attacked by shooting webs at them. All of them tried to move out of the way. However, some of the webs did hit Beaucock and messed up its feathers.

"Beaucock!" Terra called, but the attacks just kept coming. "Beaucock, come back!" She called as she tried to go after it.

"Imperialdramon, do something!" Davis called.

"I've got it!" Imperialdramon said. He unleashed Dragon Pulse and blasted the Ariados. "Now's our chance! Let's go!" None of them stuck around and hurried off. Nymphix saw how things were unfolding and wondered what it could do to help.

Beaucock

After what happened, Beaucock managed to escape. However, some of its feathers got caught up in that sticky webbing. It tried to pull that stuff off since Beaucock take pride in their beautiful feathers, but that stuff was on tight and wasn't moving. As Beaucock tried and failed to get that sticky stuff off, Nymphix was able to find it and floated down to it.

"Nymphix nymph."

"Beaucock?" The two of them got to talking. Nymphix was wondering if Beaucock was okay and asked what all of that was about. Beaucock explained it was just more trainers trying to catch it and wasn't really keen on being caught. However, Nymphix assured it that Davis and his friends seemed nice enough.

"Beaucock?! Beaucock, where did you go?!" Terra called as she searched around for it. Before she spotted Beaucock, Nymphix flew back and hid out of shyness. Terra searched around and eventually spotted it. "There you are!" She was ready to make her move, but then she noticed the webbing in her feathers. "Oh no. Looks like that gunk is caught in your feathers." She walked over to try and help it out, but Beaucock kept its guard up. "It's okay. I just want to help. That stuff probably feels nasty." She approached it carefully with Beaucock keeping its guard up, but Terra did what she could to try and help. "Bearcicle, come on out."

"Bearcicle!"

"Bearcicle, could you try releasing some cold air or something against the webbing on Beaucock's feathers. Maybe if we freeze it, we can chip away at them until it all comes off." Terra claimed. Bearcicle did just that. It breathed out some of it's ice power and aimed it right on the webbing. It caused it to freeze just like Terra planned. "There you go, Beaucock. Try chipping away at it."

"Beaucock..." Beaucock did what Terra suggested and just kept pecking away at the ice until it broke apart. Once the ice broke off, Beaucock's feathers were free and lovely again.

"There. All better." Terra said. "You really are a beautiful pokemon. It would be ashamed if something were to happen to those lovely feathers of yours." Beaucock certainly agreed with that. "Sorry about before, and what went on with that other girl. We both think you're a lovely pokemon and would love to have someone like you on our team. I'm sorry if you got scared or something. Still, I would love to have a pokemon like you. What do you say?"

"Beau...? Beaucock." Since Terra did just help Beaucock clean it's lovely feathers, it agreed to give Terra chance and was ready to battle.

"Great! Bearcicle, let's have ourselves a battle!" Terra said with Bearcicle ready.

"There's Terra!" Cletus called as he and Davis arrived just in time.

"And it looks like she's about to have a battle!" Davis said.

"Bearcicle, let's start with Icicle Spear!" Terra called. Bearcicle started this battle by forming icicles and shooting them at Beaucock, but Beacock jumped around and avoided each one of them.

"Since Beaucock is part flying-type, ice-type attacks will do lots of damage. That's only if they are able to hit." Cletus said. Beaucock battled back with it jumping in to the air and then stomping down right on Bearcicle's head, but Bearcicle tossed it aside. "Now Beaucock just used Stomp. Wing Attack, Aerial Ace, Solar Beam, and Stomp... That Beaucock isn't just pretty, but powerful."

"Bearcicle, use Slash!" Terra called. Bearcicle charged right at Beaucock and slashed its claw against it. "Good! Now use Waterfall!" Bearcicle caused water to erupt right under Beaucock and knocked it into the air. Once that happened, Bearcicle jumped in the water and rode in it until it reached Beaucock and smashed against it. However, Beaucock battled back with it using Wing Attack against it. Both of them landed down and readied themselves for another attack. "You really are incredible, Beaucock. Let's see what else you got." Beaucock got ready to attack again, but then it was suddenly attacked by a Power Gem and took some damage. "Where did that come from?!"

"Look!" Imperialdramon called. All of them saw Rita and her Mismagius were back.

"I told you that Beaucock belongs to me!" Rita reminded.

"Back off, Rita. You had your turn, and now it's mine. I have as much right to capture Beaucock as you, and Beaucock agreed to have a battle with me." Terra said. "It's only fair that I have a chance."

"I don't care about fairness?! This is about getting what I want." Rita said. "Mismagius, seal the deal with another Power Gem!" Mismagius attacked once again with it aimed at Beaucock, but Bearcicle got in the way of the attack and blocked it. Beaucock was rather surprised it did that.

"Bearcicle, put that Mismagius on ice with Freeze Wave!" Terra ordered. Bearcicle attacked Mismagius and blasted it with water and Mismagius was instantly frozen.

"No! My beautiful Mismagius!" Rita cried.

"Serves you right. Now just get out of here." Davis said. None of them approved of Rita's actions, but she could see when she was beat.

"I feel sorry for that Beaucock if it does have a loser like you as a trainer!" Rita claimed before she took her Mismagius and ran for it.

"I'm the loser? I'm not the running and crying in defeat." Terra said. At least they got that irksome Rita out of the way now. "Sorry about that, Beaucock? Are you okay?" She asked as she helped Beaucock stand. Beaucock was rather impressed with what Terra just did and was thinking that Nymphix was right. "What do you say we call it quits for the battle? I would love to have someone like you on my team, but..." Beaucock had other ideas as it reached inside her pockets. "Hey! What are you doing?!" Beaucock pulled out a pokeball with it's beak and handed it over to Terra. "Does this mean you're fine with me capturing you?!" She couldn't believe it. Beaucock wants to come with Terra willingly. This was like a dream come true to Terra. She could now have her favorite pokemon, the one she's been wishing to have. Terra tapped the pokeball against Beaucock and it went on inside. Once the ball stopped shaking, the capture was complete and Beaucock was officially hers. "I can't believe it! I really have a Beaucock!"

"Bearcicle!"

"That's great, Terra. You got the pokemon you've always wanted." Davis claimed.

"I guess your kind acts helped win Beaucock over." Cletus said.

"Thanks. I'm so happy to have a Beaucock." Terra said. She's going to love having Beaucock, and love even more to take care of it.

With Terra's perseverance, as well as her kind acts, Beaucock has become the latest member of this growing family. Terra feels like an excellent trainer now that she's got the pokemon she's always wanted. There's bound to be more fun and amazing pokemon to see, as the journey continues.
