Chapter 4: A Snowny Day
As for some in the world of remnant they where doing their best to just have the day and minutes pass each waking second of the day. But for some of them they where doing their best to find something as in the city of atlas it seemed to be quite chaotic right now after they finally restored the comms network. That for one they lost the oldest general they had here in their kingdom honoring his sacrifice with a parade and statue in his honor. While their has been an increase in search warrants and cargo trucks for the possible connections to the unseen eye
But it was fruitless for a long time right now but for a certain someone right now they where still fast alseep trying to get some extra snoozes in but someone ruined that as rosa was feeling someone lick her face over and over again. As she was struggling to avoid it but she spat at the culprit
Opening her eyes she frowned just a little to see drei ontop of her whining as he was doing spins ontop of her
"Drei come on i wanna sleep more i'm tired"rosa whined but the pup whined even more nipping on her ear as she yelped as snickering close by was someone. Looking over she saw it cassia, nioma and lastly fay who seemed to be in much better spirits
"You awake now cousin"cassia asked with a grin as rosa growled just a little at them for this
"Don't use my pet as a tool for you to prank me"rosa said as drei licked her in the face kicking his little legs
"Come on it was funny besides everyone else is up because felix is already up. Hes busy with his dad going over his rifle"nioma said as rosa sighed getting changed into her new outfit quickly before she eyed her silver eyes for a moment that where still very much different as the curse lingered which scared her a little. For the last couple weeks they've been doing their best to find a cure or how to break her curse through that maria women books but the only thing they came up with was nothing. Most of the time shes been more focused on finding her friends/cousins
As they all walked downstairs in the grave household her parents decided to stay here despite having their own house. Mainly because her moms wanted to be their for the others while also having a place where she could hang out with friends and not be nose deep in a book all day. As they walked through the halls starting conversation up was cassia

As he had short purple hair spiked up a little while he wore a pair of blue jeans along with him sporting a purple dress shirt underneath a labcoat styled jacket as he wore some glasses while next to him was nigel and bruno who where both looking annoyed as bruno looked to be in much better spirits himself actually wearing a fixed up version of his outfit before he was captured by the cult

Their was one women who seemed quite young with fair skin and pink hair that flowed to her hips that seemed to glow even. While she had a set of pink eyes that were strange as the pupils seemed to be heart shaped even in appearance. Though she had a quite massive bust size while their was how she a voluptuous and ridiculous bombshell of a body while she wore a bright pink wool sweater with a large chest circle on it as she stood at 6ft in height while sporting a pair of black tight fitting dress pants while sporting whitish pink high heeled pumps to match. While she seemed to have heart shaped earrings and several heart shaped imagery spread out around her outfit with two heart shaped symbols on her cheeks

The next was a beautiful women with a very slender yet curvy bewitching figure with her having black hair and sparkling eyes like a gem with her having her hair be short reaching her lower back. As she was sporting a quite large bust size being constricted in a black skin tight bodysuit with it have something resembling thorns and a frilly collar as she had sharp shoulder pads and butterfly styled earrings with gloves on that had frills on them. While the back of her suit shows off a diamond shaped opening with several diamond cutouts on her long legs from the look of it.

While the next women seemed to be in her late forties from appearance but she looked to have a young face from her age. As she sported a pair of strange eyes that seemed to shimmer a little while their was her skin being fair. But their was the added benefit of her having vibrant whitish dark blue hair reaching her lower hips as she stood at 6.4ft in height though she seemed to be having a slender look to her appearance. As she had a large bust size while she was sporting a pair of curvy hips. But her attire consisted of a pair of tight fitting leather pants while sporting a black sleelvess sweater underneath a fuzzy dark blue jacket over it to stave off the cold. As she had on a black choker on her neck.
Her name was Lizzi
The next one was a little strange as she had pale skin with big dark blue eyes and long light blonde hair reaching her hips as she had long bangs falling to the front and fringe directed to the left. With it tied in a ponytail. While she had a large bust size and slender look to her body as she was sporting a black zipped up cropped top underneath a bright pink jacket and a pair of blue jeans. As she had on black boots on as well while sporting piercing on each of her ears as she sported a bandana in one of her pockets colored black

After her was the last one who was quite strange herself a little as she seemed to be in her late twenties in appearance as she had auburn colored hair. With two locks of hair extending down to her chest with pinkish red eyes. She also had a pair of fluffy tanuki ears and a bushy tail. With her having a lean and curvaceous build to her body. While she on a red and black european styled dress that had been layered above it with a white frilled dress racing down to her thighs. She was wearing a leather breastplate and pauldron set on each shoulder while carrying a sword on her right hip.
Her name was raphtalia
But the morning seemed busy as ever in the household as right now trying to get the few tots her to sit down was a frustrated looking centi right now
"Can you all please just sit down for breakfast"She begged as laughing at her misfortune a little was aera who came by to visit for the morning as she was laughing at them all for a bit with a nearby marrow laying his head down groaning
"Why did you drag me here"he asked his two wives as cera was here back from vacou who shrugged her shoulders

He even told him that he felt a deep connection with that cane like it called to him which made him suspicious

As she was exiting the shuttle at that moment she was walking down the runaway with the troops all at the ready making their way to their airships, cars and other areas of notice. But walking by the commander side was falk adjusting his shirt for a moment sighing

Shes also at the age that she is taking a heavy responsibility after…james…died"winter paused eyeing something as they walked that being a statue being made in honor of the general of atlas they made one for him infront of the academy but this one was still being made with a few soldiers passing by laying down a few flowers despite it not being done
But standing near the statue themselves where familiar faces as it was elm, harriet,clancy, maude, matthews, igor with a couple other soldiers that caught her eyes right now. Their where about two male soilders and one female soldier that caught her eyes
The first one was a man who was at six feet in height while he had a pair of blue eyes and a shaven head making him bald.. He was quite built and muscular as he sported a pair of shades on his forehead along with that he sported the standard issued atlas spartans uniform. As he wore a pair of black combat pants with a white and blue mixed together atalsian special ops shirt with a thick winter coat over it with tan fur trimming on the collar with him seeming in his early fifites even.
The next one was another man who seemed to be in his late forties with a tanned skin tone and short black hair tucked underneath a dark gray beanie. Though he seemed to be having an athletic and muscular physique to his body as their was how he had a scar on his left cheek with a simple tattoo of the atlas spartans on his neck. Though he wore the standard issued atlas spartans outfit as he wore a tactical vest underneath his coat while sporting a pair of black wool gloves to stay warm.
After that it was a women in her late forties herself as she had a pale skin tone like she lived in the snow. Though she had flowing brown hair reaching her shoulder with a pair of black colored eyes. Along with that she wore the same uniform like the rest of her comrades in arms but sported a ski mask rolled up to make it into a beanie to stave off the cold.
Though placing some flowers down near the construction was bonnet as walking over winter called out to them
"I see your all paying your respects to the commander"winter said as they all noticed her as saluting her where the soldiers with hairett and elm doing it as laughing was falk
"I thought you two weren't into saluting your friend anymore"he joked as they all lowered their hands
"Eh well sorry force of habitat. Just paying the respects to the general after everything he did for everyone in the kingdom"hariett replied as winter sighed liking the sound of that as she stared at the statue partially being done but it made her feel like the man who cared for his kingdom for years was still watching over the fresh new recruits to defend the five kingdoms
"I don't blame you james was a great man i hoped that he is smiling with glynda and the others that are gone. "Winter said as the man in shades nodded
"I'm sure they are ma'am decker was a good soldier worked under him for a while before your dad got him kicked out of military"The man said

"Be that as it may. I need to speak with cynthia i suggest you start heading to a nearby airship to prepare for us. Mother is maybe thinking of having dinner tonight at the others home"winter said as they nodded with her and falk walking inside as hariett followed them inside.
Once they got inside it wasn't long as they took a quick elevator up to the office of the commander and chief of the spartans. Once inside they where met by the simply office space that belonged to cynthia while their was one other thing that being how it was a mess a complete mess at that. Their where papers and maps all over the place with empty coffee mugs and even a couple wine bottles.
But right now trying to get her daughter to leave her office was her mother
"Dear you need a break me and caine are in agreement on that"artemis said with caine by her side as cynthia looked worse for wear. She had bags under her eyes that looked very heavy with her even having her hair all messy as she stumbled a little as she held herself on her desk for balance
"I said i'm fine dammit! I need to find their base…its somewhere here in atlas…i just know it…i know it!"cynthia said slamming her hands on the table as shes been going mad trying to find it and her kids as sighing was hairett walking in placing a hand on her as cynthia flinched as it broke her heart seeing her act like this
"Come on kid you need a break your exhausted"hairett said but she growled shoving at her weakly but it barely did anything
"I said i'm fine! I…i just need to keep looking…i can't…lose another kid…never again…never…again"Cynthia said about to cry it seems as it seemed that the lose of a child hurt her deeply while being scared of losing seven more
Seeing the pain in her eyes was winter who only lost a husband but closed her eyes walking over placing a hand on the girls shoulder making her flinch as she stared at her with winter softening her gaze
"Cythnia you need to take a break. Maybe at least visit your other wifes coming to see you and…"she paused as a meow was heard as staying here watching her owner was krimson who was a small kitten as winter had an idea
Gently guiding cynthia to sit down suddenly placed on her lap was crimson as cynthia tried to move. The grimm cat leaned against her purring a little as she could feel the vibrations against her as she slowly began to close her very heavy eyes before they shut as she passed out
"Why didn't we try that"caine commented
"Because you were all acting eratics being calm with your body movements does help create a calming environment. Trick i learned over the years in military meetings"winter said
"Of course you did but i hope that some of you have some luck finding my grandchildren. Right now i'm still rather miffed about that women betraying my daughter heart"Artemis said
"We all are ma'am. Besides were doing our best were our abilities allow it. Though we should take this one back i'll go check on the others on the transport knowing our luck their bringing in those idiots from the mercenary group"hariett said walking away as carrying cynthia away was falk easily as winter prayed that they could find an answer on the plans of that cult
But right now deep within a barren mountain range that was devoid of life and nothing around them. Their was nothing at first before the loud clanking of pickaxes was heard as mining away was the small labor force of the unseen eye that wore the special mask that was used to control them. As they mined and mined away at the rock and dirt around them walking the ground was dorian as he was he seemed impatient about something as he was talking with an old face from the past that being a revived hassan adkins who seemed to be just like his old self but their was an obvious change in appearance as he was like one of the robotic clone cyborgs but barely showed it
As dorian sighed"it seems that the help is still not able to find what we need for our queen"Dorian said
"Relax the dam mad scientist are quite smart along with being stubborn. Although right now i wouldn't mind a dam coffee or a warm blanket"hassan joked making dorian laugh but as the two men overlooked their digsit running over was a cutlist right now panting
"Sir…sir! We found it! We found it!"the cultist cheered it seems startling the two of them
"You did? Show us"dorian asked as they lead them to a crowd of cultist and talon soldiers all crowding around something muttering. Shoving them to the side was dorian who smiled on something that being a pair of hourglasses that were buried deep within the snow partial sticking out. That being a pole like object that had a pair of eastern and western dragons on the opposite sides as the statue resembled a women in appearance that being the goddess of balance as he smiled
"We found the other part we need to bring it home. The next phaze of our plans start now!"dorian shouted as the digsite crew of the cult cheered as it seemed they might have found what they where looking for in this snowy tundra.
With that another chapter is put at a close for the series with rosa digging into breaking her curse not finding much of anything it seems. While cynthia struggles with the thoughts of losing her children. Along with that it seems that kris is struggling to handle what he saw his mother do. Raphtalia, cereza, winry are all characters from media raphtalia is from rising of shield hero, winry full metal alchemist, cereza is from bayonetta. This is how i'll try to introduce characters who are obvious references to some sources of media. Thanks for reading!
