Volume 2 Issue 2: The Black Order Strikes
The Unified World, Crossverse. (9 Days Since the Convergence)
The Exo Stones. Eight infinite powers that when used together by a simple mortal, can transform them into the most powerful deity in all creation. Two of the Stones were used by the Masters of Evil to cause the Convergence: Chaos and Nightmare. Five of the Stones are protected by the Dimensional Avengers for the safety of the multiverse: Heart, War, Genesis, Dream, Evolution. There remains one Stone unaccounted for. The Star Stone. Once in the possession of Thanos, now hurtling beyond space and time as a purple shooting star thanks to the Convergence. Eventually, the Star Stone arrives in the unique spacetime known as the Crossverse, where the Unified World among six others are connected by the massive Universe Tree. It breaches the barrier between realities with no issues to meteor down towards the Unified World. This is the beginning of the end.
At the Kingdom of Latveria, Doctor Victor von Doom is sleeping in his castle bedroom. Sharing a bed with fellow Master of Evil Salem that implies an intimate relationship between the two. The maskless Doom awakens from his bed to begin his morning routine. Brushing teeth. Taking a shower. Putting on armor. All with his scarred face hiding in shadow until he puts on his metallic mask to do the job. Before breakfast, he goes to a balcony to oversee his kingdom to check if it is still in peace. And it is. All thanks to his people's love for his unmatched rulership. Though his masked face doesn't seem to be expressing that pride.
"Enjoying the view?" Salem asked, awake and joining her leader on the same balcony.
"Yes, I am." Doctor Doom responded.
"Latveria truly is a marvelous kingdom." Salem comments while staring at the kingdom's beauty. "I can't recall if I'd told you this, and if I haven't I apologize, but I am…thankful of the citizenship you offered me when we first formed the Masters. Felt like I was destined to live in a house of eternal solitude again until you freed me from prison." She said sincerely, reminding herself of her lonely past.
"You are welcome. Latveria's peace is one that I have worked my entire life to share," Doom claimed, "The future I have envisioned for this world is upon us. A new kingdom, devoid of failure, of fault…of imperfection. A world that my mother would be proud of."
"Ozma and I shared the same dream. Or at least, I thought we did. Using our unrivaled magic to mold the lands into the paradise that the old Gods could never create." Salem reminisced stoically.
"But then he betrayed your love," Doom said, making the witch express sadness, "Just like how those heroic fools in S.T.R.I.K.E. continue to detest the peace we are trying to HELP them achieve. For all their talk in wanting to make the world a better place, they are just content with the status quo of war and discrimination. They have five of the Stones. Why not use that power for themselves? Why are they so afraid of accomplishing their dreams?"
"Because they fear of destroying themselves and are too stubborn to accept proper guidance from a superior. They would rather keep sacrificing their own children than be true defenders." Salem scowled, swiping the air with an enraged arm.
Silence borders them for a moment before Doom says what Salem is feeling, "…You miss them."
"Every day," Salem frowned as she rests her chin on the railing. Mourning the daughters she lost eons ago when she and Ozma begun their rivalry, "Hurts worse knowing that I will never join them in their afterlife. Not after everything I have done."
"You can always revive them." Doom suggested.
"I've grown so exhausted of life that I'm afraid they will despise me for what I have become. Just like their father." Salem feared, scowling with anger at her mention of Ozma.
"No children can truly hate their mother." Doom sympathized with the witch, cheering her up to smile at him. "The old worlds reeked of failure. And this Unified World so far has a flawed stench. But it will not be this way for long. I will set this universe to order. I will make it perfect, for all families. By gentle, guiding hand…or by brutal fist of submission." He vowed.
"You must first overcome your own flaws to succeed with that." Salem said, reminding him of their last conversation regarding his weaknesses.
"A work-in-progress. Having a queen can correct some of them." Doom suggested. It's rare for Salem to be taken aback by shocking suggestions as Doom explains himself, "Selfishness has…occasionally blinded me. I will allow myself to be open to any woman that wants to rule by my side and will not force them to comply with what they may find displeasing."
Touched, a teasing Salem smiles, "Then I wish you luck in finding the perfect woman, Victor. Who knows. They may be closer than you think."
BGM-Super Dragon Ball Heroes OST-Creepy Space Tree
Suddenly, the most unexpected thing hits the sorcerers like a lightning bolt to the brain. A powerful vision of the Exo Eight that forces them both onto their knees and endure the pain this vision is giving them. "What is this…?!" Doom grunted. It is not just Doom and Salem suffering this. Certain individuals have been chosen to experience these mystery headaches and glowing eyes too: Sonic the Hedgehog, amidst his run. Doctor Eggman, in the midst of building robots. Peter Parker, during a train ride. Doctor Octopus, disrupting his research. Ruby Rose, while reading a comic book. Albert Wesker, amid his experimentations. Lucina, during a mission. Jedah Dohma, inspecting souls. Pit, eating food. Mega Man X, testing out prototype armor parts. Jin Kazama, training. Both Juri Han and Grimadoom the Hedgehog, sparring with each other. And Naoto Kurogane, playing video games.
'Once more, you will be thrown into the heat for the answer you have long been searching…Is this fate or just a bloody coincidence…? It shall be clear as eight powers will be as one…Now, the final phase is about to begin. Your story moves toward its violent destiny.' A strange, multi-layered, cosmic voice spoke to their chosen. Giving them all the same cryptic vision regarding the Avatar of Life. The Avatar of Death. Ending with Death herself swallowing everything and everyone. Scaring the chosen individuals out of that vision.
"…What…What was…that…?" Salem wondered, panting heavily after experiencing that nightmare.
"The Stones…They were speaking to us…Warning us…of the end." Doom deciphered ominously.

Meanwhile at New Vale City…
Peter Parker is still reeling from the vision he received from the Exo Stones. He doesn't know how or why it happened. His head feels like it's on fire, making him nearly forget that he's riding a subway with two friends. "You alright, Pete?" Chris Thorndyke asked, sitting next to him and the paraplegic Helen. Both of them were teenaged humans from Mobius that befriended Peter over their love of science, which led them being the only three members of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, also known as W.E.B.. "Looked like you just had a migraine." Chris noted, looking concerned for the secret spider-hero.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Chris. Just stressed out is all." Peter lied, recovering from the headache.
"Relax. I know it's been a rough week, so try and take it easy. It'll be over soon." Chris smiled.
"I hope so…" Peter frowned, not sharing his optimism.
Noticing their train is slowing down, Helen happily announces, "Look alive. We're at Queens Emerald."
BGM-Mega Man Star Force OST-Home Town (Echo Ridge) (Remaster by Zame)
The W.E.B. Team exits the subway station to appear in Queens Emerald, one of the boroughs in New Vale City. Peter is being kind pushing Helen on her wheelchair, keeping up with Chris as the trio head for their scientific purpose. 'It's been nine days since the Convergence merged my Earth with Mobius and Remnant,' Peter monologues in his head, 'Nine days since this Unified World became part of the Crossverse, seven dimensions that are interconnected by the Universe Tree. Took a bit 'til we got things in order somewhat,' Making their way to the Flushing Meadows, Peter glances at his hybrid surroundings. This island used to be just Queens, but there's a bit more forest thanks to it being part Patch and more checker pattern grass thanks to it being part Emerald Town, 'As fascinating as this merged world is, I hate what it cost us. Billions of people lost their lives and so many that survived lost their homes,' He thought whilst passing by homeless people, 'A lot of us are still struggling to get used to all this. Me chief among them. I'm the leader of the Dimensional Avengers. It's my job to protect our multiversal neighborhood and I blew it big time. I'm used to guilt. Heck, it's my best superpower,' He frowns to himself, 'But survivor's guilt…How do I cope with that? Am I missing something? Was I too weak to stop the Convergence? Am I strong enough to reverse it? I've been told the key is to find new meaning in life. But what is it? Just…HOW do I deal with death on this scale? Uncle Ben…I could REALLY use your help right now.'
Eventually, the trio arrive at the former site of this year's Stark Expo. The same exposition that hosted the DX Multiversal Grand Prix. "There it is!" Helen smiled, pointing out a massive machine surrounded by computer stations controlled by S.T.R.I.K.E.
"Wow! So THAT'S an Anti-Convergence Engine." Chris expressed his amazement at both the machine and the STRIKE Scientists working on it.
"One of seven. Each Cross World is installed with their own." Peter said.
"Have S.T.R.I.K.E. tested them yet?" Chris asked him.
"Numerous times and they were graded nice. This is just the first time it's being used to separate a fused dimension. But I have hope it'll work. The sooner we return our worlds to normal, the sooner we can undo the entire Crossverse." Peter explained.
"You made it!"
Calling out Peter's group is Tails the Fox approaching them. Alongside Tails is another old friend of Peter. A Faunus Beacon student that is known for her rabbit ears and engineering skills, Velvet Scarlatina. "Hey, Tails. Hey, Velvet." Peter greeted.
"Peter! It's been so long! How've you been?" Velvet smiled, happily hugging the photographer.
"Same old, same old. Scaring off bullies that like picking on my favorite rabbits." Peter quipped, reminding her of how he saved her from being bullied during his brief enrollment in Beacon Academy.
"You haven't changed a bit." Velvet chuckled.
"You're Sonic's friend, right?" Chris asked, looking at Tails.
"Yup. You can call me Tails. And you're Chris. Sonic told me about you." Tails grinned.
"You know Sonic?" Peter asked his fellow scientist.
"Saved him when he nearly drowned in my swimming pool. Got to tag along in some of his adventures whenever he was in Station Square." Chris answered., revealing to have a friendship with the Blue Blur.
"Hope one of those adventures were swimming lessons." Peter quipped, getting his friend to laugh.
"Are they ready to begin?" Helen asked Tails, wanting to know when STRIKE will active the Anti-Convergence Engines.
"In a few minutes. Let me introduce you to the other kid geniuses we have here." Tails replied, gesturing Velvet and W.E.B. to follow him.
The group gets closer to the workstation near the Engine to spot the four other kid geniuses Tails talked about. One of them is a Tennessee teenage boy doing a quick study of the Engine. A friend of Tony Stark that goes by the name of Harley Keener. Watching his study with amazed eyes is a Chrono Phantasma from Azure Earth. A cute young girl that knows magic and has a female automaton as her bodyguard, Celica A. Mercury. But next to them are two other geniuses that Peter recognizes because of his adventures as Spider-Man. "That's…!" He exclaimed, staring at Tron Bonne and Laurent. A scientist and mage from the future worlds of Arcadia and Archanea respectively.
"Hm?" The curious Tron Bonne heard Peter, quickly taking notice of his group and gets bratty with them, "Hey! Who invited these kids? Get away! This isn't an exposition! We're trying to save the multiverse!"
"Tron, these are members from WEB. Mr. Stark invited them." Tails informed the air pirate.
"The last thing I need is Spider-Man's fan club distracting me." Tron sassed.
"We're inventors, actually, from the Worldwide Engineering Brigade. My name is Chris Thorndyke. What are your names?" Chris introduced himself, before asking for their names politely.
"Tron Bonne." Tron introduced herself.
"I am Laurent, a resident of the Archanea Space from a future timeline." Laurent said, shaking hands with young Thorndyke.
"Hi! I'm Celica. Celica A. Mercury from Azure Earth. And this is my friend, Minerva." Celica smiled, happily greeting both Peter and Helen.
"And I'm Harley Keener. I'm from this world. Nice to meet everyone." Harley greeted.
"You look like the most normal person here." Peter said to Harley.
"I'm as smart as the rest of you guys. Even helped out Iron Man take down A.I.M. once with nothing but a potato gun." Harley boasted, quickly befriending WEB.
"That's cool." Velvet smiled.
"Did you all help build the Anti-Convergence Engines?" Chris asked the four.
"I did, not these guys, because I'm a supergenius from Arcadia's future. And just call it the A.C.E.. The other name is a mouthful." Tron snarked.
"It'd be great if you all join WEB. It's tons of fun." Helen smiled, offering them membership.
"Won't it be pointless? If the ACEs work, we'll all return to our home dimension." Harley remarked.
"Our first project can be a dimensional teleporter." Peter suggested.
"What, a Convergence Device?" Tron snarked.
"Maybe not. I'm really tired of convergences." Peter sighed.
"You and me both. Just another misadventure in my life." Tron replied nonchalantly.
"I would like to join WEB. I'm not a scientist, but I did study alchemy when I was in the Mage's Guild. And I'm super amazing with healing magic." Celica raised her peppy hand.
"You and I are the only sorcerers of this group. I propose one of our other projects is to develop technology born from the fusion between magic and science." Laurent proposed.
"Oh, like Ars Magus? Yeah, we can do that! Watched my big sister create it after all!" Celica smiled.
"Isn't Ars Magus a century old? How were you around when she developed it? How old are you?" Tails asked the Chrono Phantasma.
With an innocent smile, Celica raises a finger, "I-."
Immediately before she is cut off by Tron. "Don't answer that and you shut up! NEVER question a lady's age!" She criticized the two-tailed fox.
"S-Sorry…" Tails apologized sheepishly, making evident of how well this group of young geniuses get along.

One of the older scientists in charge of the A.C.E. project is Doctor Jemma Simmons, a Stark Industries employee famous for her studies of other dimensions. She checks to make sure all systems are running smoothly before announcing to the crowd, "Alright, get into positions, everyone!"
"Oh, they're starting!" Tails said, getting his friends ready for whatever results the ACEs will produce.
Sir Charles the Hedgehog check in with a STRIKE Scientist before meeting up with the leader of its Delta Team, Mister Fantastic. "Sir Charles. All systems are go." Mister Fantastic told him. Both scientists take a moment to stare at the ACE, the culmination of over a week of Convergence research. While handed a holographic tablet by another STRIKE Scientist, Reed says, "If our calculations are correct, we can reverse the Convergence.", before touching his earpiece, "Reed Richards reporting. A.C.E.s are online. Activating…now!"
The Anti-Convergence Engine opens itself up and harnesses its Anti-Convergium particles to fire a massive purple beam straight into space. Bursting out energy that spreads throughout the Unified World. Scientists from both STRIKE and WEB stare at the beam with curiosity regarding their fate. They hope that this will work, that their homes will return to normal, and that the dead may rise again. Unfortunately, hope cannot reverse this level of despair. Things around them start exploding. Parts of the Unisphere near the vicinity is breaking apart that prompts Peter to run and find a good place to change into more heroic clothing.
"We're detecting a severe fluctuation in the wave frequency of the Anti-Convergium particles…" A STRIKE Scientist informed Richards, much to his worry.
Reality is cracking around them, literally, as the dimensional rifts spit out cars that are endangering the lives of Delta Team. Tails, Laurent, and Velvet are quick to save lives using their unique abilities. "Minerva!" Celica commanded, leaving it up to the robot to deflect the dimensional debris while Celica herself uses her exceptional magic to heal injured scientists.
One car is launched at Tron, Harley, and the other two WEB members and they would've been crushed if it weren't for the timely intervention of Spider-Man, catching the car with his webs. "It's Spider-Man!" Chris exclaims his shock.
Having observed the destruction around him, the concerned Reed says, "We can't fail…", while desperately interacting with his console to find some way to stabilize the situation.
"Sir…the particles…they aren't working like we thought…" Another STRIKE Scientist reported.
"Convergium is permeating the rest of the Crossverse!" announced Doctor Pietro Polendina, noticing the Convergium Particles spreading beyond the Unified World from his mobile chair's computer.
"Shut it down before we split the planet in half!" ordered Professor Kokonoe Mercury from Azure Earth.

The scientists complied, quickly shutting down the ACEs to prevent further catastrophe. The cracks in reality are repairing themselves thanks to the Universe Tree. Everything is returning to normal. Just not the normal everyone was fighting to regain. "What happened, Reed?!" Spider-Man confronted him, looking unusually angry.
"I feared as much. We're missing a vital component. This Unified World along with the rest of the Crossverse was created by the Genesis Convergium Wave that utilized Exo Stone energy. Without the Stone that powered it, we cannot undo the Convergence. Its effects are irreversible. Any other means to rewrite the cosmos back to its original form will cause apocalyptic damage." Reed explained to the web warrior.
"Then you should've focused on finding that Stone instead of further destroying our world!" Spidey scolded, depressing the stretchy scientist as he's already disappointed in himself for this failure.
"We can multitask, kid. That's why STRIKE's a thing. Even with all our resources, we're still uncertain where or WHAT Stone caused this mess. It could be the ones the Masters of Evil have or the Obsidian King's." Kokonoe sassed.
"It HAS to be the Star Stone the Obsidian King has! Both are mysteries that are getting ready to make planetfall and end everything! We gotta stop them before that happens!" Spidey retorted.
"Let's not be hasty!" Uncle Chuck said, trying to calm down the upset arachnid.
"Procrastinating is what allowed the Convergence to happen in the first place! We can't afford making any more mistakes!" Spidey snapped before swinging off into the distance on his weblines.
"Spider-Man, wait!" Doctor Simmons shouted, reaching out to him in vain.
"What happened to him being a friendly neighbor?" Tron joked, standing alongside her fellow teen scientists while they watching Spidey leave the area.
"Peter! Where did he go?" Chris wondered, unaware of Peter being Spider-Man.
"He went to find help! I'm sure he's okay!" Tails retorted, covering for his friend.
"Will Spider-Man be okay? Never seen him so upset before." Velvet wondered, concerned for her transdimensional hero.
"I hope so." Tails frowned, knowing full well that the stress of leadership is getting to Peter.

"I FOUND IT!" Doctor Octopus shouted ecstatically.
His voice reaches the ears of other Masters of Evil that draw them in to the laboratory. Doctor Doom and Salem enter. Alongside Doctor Eggman, Mad Genius. Albert Wesker, Living Biohazard. And Jedah Dohma, Makai Noble. All of them here to stare at Ock's screen displaying the signal of a certain purple Exo Stone they have been searching for days now.
"The Star Stone?" Albert Wesker questioned.
"What else would it be," Ock sassed, "About time it popped up in our radar. I blame temporal distortions."
"Don't keep us in suspense, Otto! Where is it?" Doctor Eggman happily asked his friend.
Ock presses keys on his computer that has the big screen zoom in. Showing his allies pumpkin-themed mountains where the Star Stone crashed into. "Here! In Pumpkin Hill! When it landed on the planet, its power tore a hole in the fabric of reality. Creating powerful and chaotic rifts to unexplored segments of the Crossverse. Rifts which draw powerful objects to them…" He explained.
"Such as the Exo Stones in the heroes' possession." Jedah Dohma commented calmly.
"Exactly. This is quantum entanglement in the works. Doesn't matter where they hid them, those rifts will swallow them up under their noses. I haven't detected where those Stones ended up yet, but we are free to collect the Star Stone. And I recommend that we hurry up!" Ock elaborated.
"Miss Han. Bring your team to the laboratory at once." Doctor Doom ordered through their comlink.
In a blink of an eye, the Dark Spider, Juri Han, arrives in the lab thanks to the teleportation powers of Grimadoom the Hedgehog, her android partner-in-crime. His technique also brought along their other multiversal allies: Cinder Fall, Fang the Hunter, Emerald Sustrai, Bean the Dynamite, Mercury Black, and Bark the Polar Bear. "What is it, Your Majesty?" Juri snarks at the Latverian Monarch.
"Travel to Pumpkin Hill and retrieve the Star Stone that was detected in the vicinity immediately. Stay vigilant, for not only Doom is certain STRIKE has detected its presence but Thanos as well. He will deploy his elite team to retrieve what was stolen from him, and there is nothing we can do to delay his invasion any further. Which is why Grimadoom will be cooperating with you on this mission." Doom tasked Team Rival.
"Whatever. Should serve as a nice warmup before I destroy the big man himself." Grimadoom smirked, arrogant as usual.
"But we still haven't retrieved the Master Emerald or the final Chaos Emerald." Cinder Fall said, reminding her boss of the powerful artifacts he hired them to collect for a mysterious purpose.
"Forget them! As of now, the Exo Stones take top priority! The Exo Master that will harness their power is complete. We must have ALL EIGHT Stones in order for Project X Zone to realize all of our goals. The playing field is level. We must conquer it before all is lost!" Doom retorted grimly.
"We work better without the pressure." Fang snarked casually.
"Get moving!" Doom snapped, with a glare that scares Fang into obedience and watches Team Rival go out to recover the Star Stone before their enemies get to it first.

A secret team project is being worked on by two members of the Dimensional Avengers: Spider-Man and the holographic Doctor Light. This project is all about creating new armor for the entire team. The specific armor they're tinkering with is Spider-Man's, sporting some similarities to his Anti-Sinister Six Armor. Something he would wear if his character were ever added to Fortnite. Has the colors of the Yemen flag with a new Avengers insignia that has "X" in it to represent the crossing of technologies and unity.
"What are you doing?" Naoto Kurogane asked. Entering the laboratory alongside Sonic, Ruby, Lucina, Pit, X, and Jin Kazama just to check up on the webbed leader.
"Tinkering, modifying, and improving the team's Light Sirius Armors." Spider-Man responded, shooting a quick glance at his friends before his further tinkering with his armor's helmet.
"Sirius?" The curious Naoto remarked.
"Also known as the Dog Star, the brightest star in the heavens," Dr. Light explained, "Ever since we discovered the existence of the Exo Stones, the Dimensional Avengers have been developing technology designed to counter them and the villains that wish to abuse their power. These Sirius Armors were created from the best science and magic our worlds had to offer. Each of them powered by a M'Kraan Shard courtesy of the X-Men."
"Sounds a bit much but awesome. Do I get one?" Naoto smiled.
"Are you on the team?" Pit snarked.
"Might as well be a representative at this point." Naoto quipped, getting a chuckle from the angel.
Sonic walks up to Peter, noting the grim look he's giving at his work. "You okay, Pete? Heard from Tails the A.C.E.s didn't work out." He asked with a concerned look.
"Obviously. Otherwise you'd be back running around Mobius instead of bothering me." Spidey sassed.
"Hey, he's just worried about you." Ruby retorted, chiming into the conversation. "We're ALL still stressed out from what the Convergence did." She said to her big brother figure.
"You seem to be handling yourself quite well." Spidey snarked.
"Because I learned not to overwork myself to the bone." Ruby glared.
While responding to her, Peter puts the helmet back on his Sirius Armor before having the whole case retract to a safe place, "Look, I have a lot on my mind right now, okay. Had to waste my summer vacation saving the multiverse every week."

"Did you receive any vision from the Exo Stones recently?" Jin Kazama asked him.
BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-Doom's Eye
"Yeah," Spidey answered, then gives a suspicious look, "How do you know about that?"
"The rest of us received the same vision. All of us at the same time." Mega Man X explained.
"That's never a good sign. Is this a side-effect from using the Exo Stones one too many times?" Spidey wondered.
"Dunno. Never even heard of the Stones before and still got a major headache from them. Said some weird stuff about 'answers' and us meeting a violent destiny." Naoto commented.
"That's one of the things that's been bothering me since this morning," Spidey admitted, "What are the Stones trying to tell us?"
"This is different from the Genesis Visions I've been getting. This felt more like a warning, and we're the only ones that can do anything about it." Sonic said, reminiscing the other visions he's been receiving for days.
"The 'violent destiny' they spoke of MUST mean the Obsidian King. And we are the Avengers that will defy that fate." Lucina believed sternly.
"Regardless, it's evident we have fallen under the Stones' influence. All the more reason to only use them as an absolute last resort." Jin advised.
"I still think we should go gung-ho with them." Pit said, preferring to use the Exo Stones when it's time to battle their cosmic enemy.
"If you want to kill yourself and the rest of the multiverse, go right ahead." Ruby snarked, refusing to use the Stones under these worrisome circumstances.
"Everything will die anyway if the Obsidian King gets the Stones. He'll hit us with everything he's got for them. We gotta hit back twice as hard. We can use the Stones to fix everything once we win." Pit argued.
"He has a point." Sonic commented, supporting the angel.
"We can't be reckless against an enemy we never faced before! Fighting him with the Stones is exactly what he wants!" Ruby refuted.
"I am…reluctant to agree with Pit and Sonic. Grima in my future was an unknown foe that patience and strategies couldn't overcome which led to the deaths of millions. If I had the completed Fire Emblem, then I would've slain the Fell Dragon sooner and the world would've been saved." Lucina argued by using her experiences to support her point.
"But we aren't using the Fire Emblem! The Exo Stones are on a whole another level of power!" X rebutted.
"Power that we've controlled before! Our worlds have suffered enough from the Convergence. Can't you trust our bond to perform another miracle?" Lucina retorted, glaring the concerned reploid.
"Doubt a miracle will be enough for this threat." Jin remarked.
"All we're saying is that we need to be VERY careful from here on out! We can't allow the Stones to decide what's best for us." Ruby said, quickly defusing tensions between her teammates before this argument gets extreme.
"What's your take," Naoto looks at Spidey, who stayed quiet throughout the argument, "You're team lead, after all."
"Hmm…" Spidey muttered, sounding unsure himself.

The Webslinger's thoughts are suddenly cut off by his Spider-Sense warning him of imminent danger. As quickly as him locating the threat, Spider-Man forms a web shield that just barely blocks the leaping spear strike of one Proxima Midnight. "What the?!" Spidey exclaims at the surprise intruder. X is quick to assist his friend with a Buster Shot, deflected easily by the sudden arrival of Corvus Glaive and his signature weapon. X and the others try fighting off Corvus just to be overpowered in a blink of an eye. Spidey sees this, distracting himself from Proxima stabbing him aback.
"AVENGERS!" Dr. Light shouted out his concerns, before Dark Oak appears to destroy his projection then smash all eight heroes through walls with a powerful sword beam.
This has been a long time coming. The Black Order have invaded the Unified World. And it only took three of them to outmatch the Dimensional Avengers. The young heroes take a moment to recover from that ambush, struggling to stand and confront the aliens that dared to challenge the multiverse's greatest heroes. "Dark Oak!" Sonic scowled, recognizing the cybernetic warlord from their brief encounter at the now-destroyed Aqua Planet Zone.
"Of all the times…" Spidey mutters out his annoyance, quipping, "Wasn't the Black Order taught any manners? Knock on the door before invading a person's home."
"Interesting. You already know who we are. No doubt because of the Starling. I'd like to prolong our little performance, but unfortunately, we're out of time. Die knowing you have provided me with some amusement." Proxima Midnight mocked.
Midnight throws her spear at Spider-Man for the quick kill but Ruby won't allow it. She uses her Cross Art to teleport, intercepting the spear with a scythe swing that deflects it. "Neat trick for a toddler." Proxima said, reclaiming her spear.
"What do you want?" Ruby demanded from the Black Order.
"Tribute." Dark Oak answered stoically.
"We're not giving you any baby heads." Spidey snarked, having been told about the Tribute by America Chavez.
"We offer that to some dimensions. Yours is special. The Tribute is a show of acquiescence. Our Master demands an offering of five Exo Stones. The same five you children have hidden in this building. Surrender them to us and we will spare your world." Corvus explained.
"Generous offer. And if we refuse?" Spidey responded.
"Surely Miss America told you," Corvus smiles creepily, "Your Crossverse will be crushed by The Gauntlet. A purge…A cleansing fire to separate the weak from the strong. It is what we do. It is our purpose. We kill."

Spider-Man fires two weblines that fly past the defensive Corvus to attach onto a wall and pull it off toward the aliens. Dark Oak destroys it with ease but left himself open to be smashed through a wall by the combined power of Sonic, X, and Jin. Proxima finds herself clashing weapons with Ruby and Lucina, right before she is punched through her own wall by Pit's Upperdash Arm. Corvus is now alone, dodging a leaping punch from Spidey and locking weapons with Naoto's blood sword.
"So be it." Corvus scowled, pushing back Naoto before getting him and Spidey together for one of his special moves. His glaive splits atoms in the air, launching a powerful cosmic blast that smashes the teenagers through walls and prompting Corvus to chase after them with murderous intent.
Intense fighting for the Exo Stones is happening everywhere in this three-story townhouse. The trio of Ruby, Lucina, and Pit faced the attacking Proxima at the main floor in close combat until the alien makes the whole floor collapse and the heroes fall screaming. Meanwhile, the spindashing Sonic rammed Dark Oak through the second floor until his sword deflects him. The Metarex Leader goes after X, who equips his First Armor amidst his dodge to fire a Charge Shot that is reflected back. Devil Jin suddenly emerges to grab Oak by the throat and fly him through the mansion, smashing the alien into walls and other breakables. Even a Quinjet once they reach the hanger floor.
"These guys' numbers are through the roof! And I fought the Devil!" Naoto sensed, still fighting alongside Spidey against the invincible Corvus. "This guy especially! He might as well be immortal!" He noted, before the high schoolers are struck to the training room in the basement.
"Let's see how immortal he is after surviving our most difficult training program! Hit it, Dr. Light!" Spidey ordered, wanting to use the training room against the enemy. Only nothing is happening, which leaves him concerned, "Uh, Doc, where're all the robots and lasers? We could really use the support!"
"I am a tactician that has felled countless dimensions by undermining all potential resistance under their notice. You thought I wouldn't do the same to your childish defense system?" Corvus boasted, having disabled their entire security before this fight.
The alien boogeyman begins teleporting, ambushing Naoto with a kick and tries doing the same to Spider-Man. "So smart yet haven't developed a strategy to handsome up that ugly mug." Spidey quipped, dodging his teleport strike thanks to his Spider-Sense and webbing his face, "Webs look good on you, Gray Goblin."
"Let's see how you look with a bloodstain!" Naoto declared in his white-haired Overdrive mode. Sending Corvus flying through the training chamber with a Divine Smasher to the face.
Meanwhile, Midnight and Ruby's Group are dueling in the assembly room at a sub-basement. Proxima is a master combatant that is outmatching the trio with little difficulty, knocking aside both Pit and Ruby and using her spear to fire an energy blast that blow Lucina away in the midst of her launching an attack. "We need backup!" Ruby ordered, realizing they are losing this fight.
'Already on it!' Light responded, contacting the other Dimensional Avengers.
While those two were talking, Lucina crashes onto the floor in pain. Midnight leaps at her for the kill, only for Lucina to be shielded at the last second by Pit's Guardian Orbitar. Ruby then delivers a teleport strike that knocks back the invulnerable warrior, transforming her scythe into its gun mode and joining forces with Pit's Cutter Palm into firing a relentless barrage that Proxima just walks through with calming ease. "Pointless," Midnight mocked, only knocked aback a bit by the winds of Lucina's Storm Thrust technique, "Summon the rest of your friends. They will all join this dimension in oblivion!" Ruby uses her Semblance in hopes of getting the drop on Midnight, only for her to effortlessly disarm her in the midst of spinning and kicking her away.
Back in the training room, Spidey and Kurogane seem to be gaining the upper hand in their fight. Spidey activates his X-Factor, pinning Corvus to a wall and pummeling him with his full strength before throwing him across the room. "DIVINE REAPER!" White-Haired Naoto shouted, launching a beasty blood wave that Corvus slices in two before impaling both teenagers with his glaive.
"AAAAAAAAARRRRGH!" Both Spidey and Naoto let out a painful scream that was heard throughout the mansion.
Sonic, hearing his friends' scream, was tasked by X to go help them. "GO!" First Armor X shouted, leaving just him and Devil Jin to fight Dark Oak.
"No matter the path he runs on, it will lead to your doom." Dark Oak taunted, using his sword to deflect Jin's Devil Beam that knocks down X before redirecting the beam to hit the devil himself.
Arriving in the training room, Sonic sees Corvus decimating his two friends with his glaive. "Back off, pal!" Sonic scowled, striking him with a Spin Dash.
This looks to be a three-on-one now. Spidey and Naoto get up on their weak legs to lend Sonic support if needed. But the fight couldn't get started because of Proxima Midnight barging in by smacking her three enemies into the scene. Ruby, Lucina, and Pit crash onto the boys. Swiftly before Midnight strikes them with the force of a trapped sun and Corvus slashing them afar with exceptional speed. The six heroes lie defeated and bloodied, just as Dark Oak enters the room to toss the beaten duo of X and Jin atop them.

"The Dimensional Avengers are beaten." Dark Oak announces their easy victory.
"Unimpressive through and through. It was sheer luck they beaten the Exo Stones when they were in the hands of fools." Proxima scoffed.
"Let's not be too arrogant, beloved. Youthful unpredictability can be a dangerous weapon." Corvus advised his wife.
"I'll try to take that to heart, my love." Proxima responded.
"Supergiant. Were you given enough time to locate the Exo Stones?" Corvus asked, connecting to the telepathic link that the Black Order share in order to contact the telepath that created it in the first place.
Corvus thought of the strategy to distract the heroes while another member of his team infiltrated the base to secure the Exo Stones. Supergiant uses her intangibility to phase into the secret Exo Stone Vault, using that same power to fly through the security lasers. "Yes. I found the vault they hid them in. Such basic defenses. It's adorable." Supergiant mocked the security.

Supergiant reaches the other end of the corridor and uses the nearby console to shut down the entire alarm system. The lasers were disengaged and the door to the five containers housing the Exo Stones opens up for the alien thief. She smiles, grabbing the containers that contains her Master's prize. But as soon as she opens them up to make certain the Stones are inside, she is hit with a surprising discovery, "No!"
'What is it?' Corvus responded.
"The Stones are gone!" Supergiant revealed, staring at the empty containers.
"We were tricked," Proxima exclaims back in the training room. She then glares at the unconscious heroes before her, "Get over here and devour their minds for answers!"
'It would be pointless.' said Ebony Maw, chiming into the telepathic conversation.
"What are you saying, Maw?" Proxima questioned.
'A recent spacetime distortion was detected that re-scattered the Stones via quantum entanglement. And its energy signature matches that of the Star Stone.' Ebony explained.
"You found it? We will go retrieve it immediately." Dark Oak retorted, feeling motivated to recover Thanos's Stone.
"Supergiant, return to the ship. We will join you shortly." Corvus ordered, before turning to his wife, "Proxima.", with a look and tone that was simple enough for her to understand.
Proxima smiles maliciously at the Dimensional Avengers, understanding her husband tasked her to kill them so they won't be a nuisance. "I still doubt you children can ever stop us. But I trust my love." The Midnight Conqueror stabs her spear to the ground. A spear created from a sun trapped in distorted spacetime. By her command, it emits an immense energy that is shaking Avengers Mansion down to its reactor. The ceiling begins collapsing. The walls start cracking. And the portal that'll return the Black Order to base has opened behind them. "So long, Dimensional Avengers." She said, joining her teammates in leaving the youngsters to their collapsing fate.
Outside the mansion, the remaining Dimensional Avengers have arrived via Palutena's teleportation. Her, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Weiss, Blake, and Yang. They received the S.O.S. signal from their friends and hurry to their rescue. "We should still have time!" Yang shouted, being the most concerned for her friends as she rushes to the front door.
Yang grabs the doorknob. A second before the entire mansion blows up. The explosion sends the huntress flying and crashing into Knuckles's hands. "NOOOO!" Yang yells out her despair at the horror they are witnessing.
"GUUUUUYYYYSSSS!" Tails screamed. Wondering what has befallen their comrades inside the burning remains of Avengers Mansion.

KFX Here: This and last chapter were written to emphasize just how powerful the Black Order is. Compared to the original story, I had them beat the Dimensional Avengers here just to prove how dire the situation is becoming. And their win streak doesn't stop here. Let's see which team claims the Star Stone!
Braewriter of Rewriting: Yes, I've watched Sonic 3. Great movie! Keanu was pretty good as Shadow.
SpiderFan75: I'll keep Marvel Rivals in mind. Once more story content is introduced, I'll decide if I'll adapt it or not. In hindsight, The Solaris Dynasty takes a lot of elements from Marvel Rivals. The Timestream Entanglement was basically the whole setting for that story.
Next Time: Desperate Struggle for the Stars! Grimadoom Defeated!
