Sunday, September 1, 1991 we flooed to Platform 9.

Lele giving us each a pat before taking our luggage, Nyx and Oak (Harry's puppy) off with her to Hogwarts. She'd decided to come with us, not trusting the Hogwarts elves to feed us properly. Lele said that home would be fine, after all there were a total of 20 house elves taking care of the grounds and estate of Myrddin Castle and only she knew us best.

Dressed already in our school robes, and having just a small pouch, with an undectable extension charm, in our pockets holding anything we might for the trip by train. Harry and I held hands as we climbed into the bright red train and navigated through narrow corridors to an empty compartment.

As we settled across from each other, we both couldn't help our relieved looks from getting our own compartment having arrived early.

We watched out our window as families arrived and began filling up the station.

A hint of melancholy hit me, had I taken away Harry's chance to have someone say good-bye to on the platform.

"I know that look, stop guilting yourself for whatever is in that head of yours."

I looked at him, "Have you responded to Sirius yet?"

Harry's frame tensed, before his shoulders slumped.

"All his letters have been so accusatory and mistrustful." Harry clutched his hands in his lap, "I don't know if he actually wants a relationship with me or if it's something he feels like he's owed."

I pursed my lips, and stretched my hand out to him. Holding his clenched hand and squeezing it, "What of Remus? Did he ever reply?"

He dug into his pocket and took out a crumpled letter that he thrust into my hands.

Remus had written back but it was very short, almost dismissive. He told how it was too dangerous for Harry to be around him, that he'd been advised to stay away.

"Who...?"

"Dumbledore." Harry's teeth clacked together as he clenched them, he sniffed before looking away and out the window. "Who needs them anyway? I have you and Lele, I'm happy with the family I have."

I sighed, "Well maybe your family will expand once you get to Hogwarts. They say your house is your family."

Harry glanced at me, an almost pout on his lips,"If you think you'll get rid of me that easily, think again."

I shook my head and placed a hand over my heart, "Me get rid of you. Never."

I pursed my lips as he mock glared at me before both our features cracked and we started giggling like mad.

"But you know I'll follow you in whatever house you go, Elle."

I sighed and shook my head, "Harry, you need to let the hat sort you wherever you'll thrive."

"Who says I won't thrive even more by staying by your side?"

"Sometimes I fear we might had gotten a smidge co-dependent."

Harry let out a laugh, and gave me a big impish grin that still radiated with sincerity.

"You are my world, sis."

--

After the train started moving, we began reading our own individual books enjoying the soft chugging sound and lull around us.

Which of course meant it was immediately disrupted, three boys stood and the blond at front looked imperiously at the two of us.

"Are these seats available?"

A proud peacock he might be, but at least he was polite.

"You are welcome to them." As the boys settled in, the blonde beside me and the two other boys with stocky builds and round features sat by Harry who didn't bother to look up from his book obviously engrossed at the moment with it.

"Lady Elle Emrys-Hufflepuff." I gave a regal nod to the boys, "And who might you be?"

The blonde's eyes widened almost comically while his friends mouths gaped, but he was quick to compose himself.

"Heir Draco Malfoy, and these are my friends Heir Vincent Crabbe and Heir Greggory Goyle."

"Well met Heir Malfoy, Heir Crabbe and Heir Goyle." I cleared my throat at Harry, "Brother, introduce yourself."

"Lord Harrison Potter-Peverell..." He tipped his head and greeted the young heirs who looked about to burst with questions.

"Is it true you denounced your Longbottom name in front of all Gringotts?" Heir Goyle leaned forward his eyes sparkling with curiosity making him stand out from his friend who just looked bored.

I nodded my head, "Indeed."

Heir Malfoy eyes glinted with a mixture of greed and intrigue, "Do you yet have a proxy for your Wizengamot seats?"

"My brother and I both have a proxy set up through our allies at Gringotts."

Draco smiled, "Not many can say the goblins are allies."

"They are the most valuable to have."

Heir Crabbe snorted as if such an idea was hilarious, but it was Heir Goyle who changed the subject.

"What house do you think you'll be sorted into?"

I tilted my head, I'd often pondered the same thing.

I saw my brother perk up from his book.

I didn't think I had the ambition to be a Slytherin.

Anything I'd ever done in the past was to fulfill a goal set by the Agency not of my own agenda. Sure I had fun, finding ways to do things in my own style, but I wouldn't call that ambition.

Now I just wished to live a happy and healthy life.

Bravery was similar, I did what I had to do back then.

Intellect was important to me but not the most important.

If I was to fit in any house, I suppose it would be the most predictable according to one of my Ladyships.

"I suppose Hufflepuff would suit me best but I wouldn't be surprised if I were a Ravenclaw." I glanced up at my brother smiling as we made eye contact, "Harrison, I think will either be a Hufflepuff or Gryffindor."

"Well they sort alphabetically and they'll go by your first Ladyship." Harry smiled, "So I guess we'll see where we both end up."

I rolled my eyes, he wasn't going to give up trying to be in the same house as I.
