Before I start, I am mad at season three of Young Justice. How dare they! I sincerely hope it gets better or I'm not finishing the show. Uhhhh! Sorry for the rant.

This chapter might be chaotic, sorry in advance. Also, I as I was doing research, made everything happen at the same time. The Reach invasion and the Giant War. Sooooo, I'm not sure if I should be sorry or think that this is clever as with both sides dealing with their own issues, that meant things went unnoticed.

"I figured you would have retired," Annabeth stated as she watched Percy and Kaldur trade sword blows. Percy knocked Kaldur off balance and Jaime used his scythe to cut at Percy. The four demigods had been training with the heroes for over a week. They had been coming to Mt. Justice every weekday.

"I did, for a little while" Artemis sighed. "After the Reach invasion, I lost Wally for a time. It took us several months of looking before we found him. But in that time, I became dependent on suiting up again. I don't go on missions unless needed. Instead, I help run the team and coordinate the teams. Dick has been doing his own thing. Kaldur has been taking more responsibility from Aquaman. Duncan, who was Guardian, has already retired and I feel Karen will soon. M'gann and Conner are wanting to settle down. So, I help where I can."

"Wally's okay with this?" Annabeth asked gently.

"No, but he knows that I need this. Losing him for three months, it was hard. He's been back for almost nine months now," she sighed in defeat. She wondered if she was pushing Wally away as she continued to help with a team that he was no longer a part of.

"He was Kid Flash?" Annabeth asked.

"Yea, loosing his powers were rough for him on top of him being basically dead," she said.

Annabeth switched her focus and shouted at Percy as he continued to parry blows, "Seaweed Brain, Artemis and Wally are coming to lunch in Sunday."

"Sure, a little busy at the moment. Text mom and let her know!" Percy laughed as he kicked Kaldur away from himself.

"Um, what?" Artemis asked confused.

"I want Wally to meet a few demigods that don't have any powers," Annabeth stated. "Plus, he already met Sally."

Oh yes, she had heard about the dinner that Bruce hosted and how things had not gone according to Batman's plan. But she was not sure what the point was.

Seeing the confusion, Annabeth smiled. "Most demigods don't have flashy powers. A lot of us are normal except for battle reflex. Even then, we have to train them. Percy is the only odd ball in the group," she laughed.

"Rude! Just because I'm good with a sword doesn't mean I didn't have to train hard," Percy shouted as he parried Jaime's scythe. He slashed the back of the suit, cutting it deep enough that the scarab was not able to immediately heal the damage.

"You beat Luke during your first training session," she pointed out.

"Water," Percy laughed as he rolled under Kaldur's sword.

Annabeth was about to retort to her boyfriend when several people came storming into the sparring room.

"Get that chip off your shoulder before you get someone killed!" Nico yelled at Roy as he stormed into the room.

"What happened?" Annabeth asked the younger demigod.

"The simulation ended in failure, because of him," Nico hissed as he walked towards Percy who had stopped his own fight to watch his cousin.

"Me! I did nothing wrong! That was all you Emo boy!" Roy yelled back as he stormed up to the son of Hades. "Our team was just fine before you joined. I never failed a simulation before you joined," he hissed as he shoved Nico.

"How many of your team members died in each simulation though?" Will hissed as he started to stalk towards the boy.

"Maybe a few, but we still completed the mission!" Roy continued to yell in defense.

"That's enough Percy," Annabeth ordered as she got in between her boyfriend and the hero.

He had yet to say a word. The group started to notice the mountain rumbling. They finally took notice of the look on his face. If looks could kill, Roy would be dead several times over and then not have been born. They started to look around and at each other as the mountain shook harder and the shadows started to grow.

"Take walk and calm down before you cause an earthquake in here. Nico, you too," Annabeth ordered, leaving the pair with no room to debate her order.

Both big three sons stormed off together. Before anyone could say anything, Nico shadow traveled the pair away from the cave.

Will let out a sigh as he tried to get his own emotions under control. He had joined the simulation with Nico, Karen, M'gann and Conner as Dick ran the simulation. Dick had pulled Tim and Barbara into his plan to create a realistic, holographic simulation so that way M'gann did not need to use her psychic powers on them. Will knew that this would not be easy, but he had expected more push back from the Justice League, not an affiliated team.

"That's what I thought, a lot of talk," Roy hissed as he started to stalk out of the room.

"Next time you endanger a team member or someone I care about, I won't hold Percy back," Annabeth hissed right back.

"Roy, you're benched until further notice," M'gann ordered.

"You can't do that!" the younger boy shouted in rage as he spun around to face the older members.

"I can and did," she stated with a look that had the hero stopping in his tracks.

"You may not know it, but Percy would have killed you for endangering his cousin," Kaldur hissed in displeasure.

"So what? They aren't team members, so why should we have to play nice with them?" Roy demanded. "Batman dropped them on us to babysit and they are taking advantage of the cave."

"Do you even here yourself?" Will asked. "You sound like a child pouting. We did not ask to be here, in fact we have our own lives that we would like to get back to. But until further notice, we are a part of this team. We may never go on missions with you all, but that does not mean that we don't have valuable skills that we can teach you."

"What can you teach us about being a hero?" Roy continued to push.

"How about humility," Tim muttered from where he sat off to the side with the rest who had been watching.

Roy continued stalk from the room, muttering curses as he went. He was questioning why he came back and stayed.

"Beth! Why is Kelp head and Death breath about to destroy half the forest at Camp?" Thalia demanded as her face appeared in an Iris message.

"New acquaintance pissed them off. I haven't figured out what happened yet, but Nico was pissed and said something about getting a team member killed. I think Percy got mad on loyalty to Nico," Annabeth sighed as she pinched her noise in irritation. "Get Hazel, your brother, and Jason, and head to camp. Have Clarisse keep everyone out of the forest while you four run damage control until the two are calm."

"His fatal flaw is personal loyalty. Is fish dude there with you?" Thalia shouted the last part.

"I am here," Kaldur sighed at the daughter of Zeus's nick name for him.

"Good, I may have to come get you," she muttered.

"I'll be ready," Kaldur promised.

"Okay, let me know how it goes," Annabeth sighed as she waved her hand through the message.

"What kind of message was that?" Garfield asked excitedly.

"It's called an Iris message. Using a rainbow, a coin, and an incantation to the goddess, we can make calls to each other," Annabeth explained.

"Will they be okay?" Jaime asked as he powered down his scarab. "It's a valid question to ask."

"Percy and Nico are powerful, but Hazel is Nico's younger sister. Then Thalia and her brother are children of Zeus. Jason is Percy's brother and so he won't hurt him," she stated.

"Shouldn't you be there?" Kaldur asked.

"I have a feeling Percy needs to vent his anger. Today was just a boiling point. They'll be good to fight him and once he calms down, Percy will come back with Mrs. O'Leary and we'll go someplace to talk," Annabeth sighed. She was supposed to have a nice quiet summer with her boyfriend before the pair started their senior year.

"Hit the showers," Dick ordered as he and M'gann walked toward Annabeth, Artemis, Kaldur, and Will. At the last second, Conner joined him.

"What happened?" Annabeth demanded.

"Roy deviated from the plan, again. He did it five times during the simulation and got Karen killed and M'gann hurt," Will glared at where the hero had gone. He left out the part where he had been seriously hurt defending both females.

"Full intention of being rude, but why is he even a part of the team?" Annabeth demanded.

No one had a valid answer for the daughter of Athena.

Finally, Dick sighed and stated, "He does more harm on his own than on the team."

"That's not a good reason, and you have to know that?" she sighed.

"We know. After the Reach invasion he went off on his own with a group of younger heroes. That didn't end well," Kaldur stated.

"So, you let him remain on a team where he can get people killed and or hurt civilians instead?" Will shouted. He was done being nice and passive. Will had watched Nico almost lose control of his powers in the simulation and outside of it. The son of Hades had a very good control on his powers and in the span of one hour, he had lost his control. "Does Batman or even the other Justice League members know? No, don't answer that. Because that means, you have been with holding important information about the state of your team or they are purposefully overlooking a ticking time bomb that will get people killed. I'll meet you back at camp." Will stormed to the Zeta tube to make his way to his boyfriend.

"I know we forced our way onto the Justice League and so what we say may not mean much, but you have to get things straightened up before someone gets killed or irreversible damage is done," Annabeth sighed as she let out her best taxi whistle, startling those that were standing there. Mrs. O'Leary let out a woof as she appeared out of a shadow. She climbed onto her back with a sigh and stated, "Will Solace and then camp girl."

"Thalia, you need to get to camp Half-Blood," Artemis ordered as she flashed into the camp her archers had set up.

"My Lady?" Thalia asked confused as she set down the tent she had been putting together with one of the new recruits.

"Percy and Nico are going to tear it apart," she stated sadly.

"I'll need my brother, Hazel and Jason Todd," Thalia said as she straightened up.

"I'll transport you all there," she stated as she flashed Thalia to camp.

Thalia blinked owlishly as she took in the sight of camp. The clouds over the camp were getting darker by the second.

"What on Earth?" Jason Todd asked in confusion as he looked around.

Jason Grace and Hazel shared the sentiment.

"No time, Iris of the Rainbow accept my offering and show me Annabeth Chase," Thalia ordered as she created a rainbow and flipped a drachma into the rainbow.

"What happened?" Percy asked as the pair appeared in the forest outside of camp.

"That Roy or Arsenal, or whatever you want to call him! He is worse than I ever was! The chip on his shoulder is bigger than Zeus's ego and then some! He got Karen killed in the simulation and M'gann and Will hurt!" Nico shouted. As he did, the shadows of the forest responded to his emotions. They started to come alive and whip about at anything that moved.

"What?" Percy hissed.

"Exactly that! M'gann was mission lead and laid out the plan. Roy went off on his own at the very beginning. We finally got him to go along with the plan and he continued to press his advantage," Nico shouted.

"I don't know if I should be mad at Kaldur for not warning us about a loose cannon on his team, or Oliver for not telling us that his first sidekick was unstable?" Percy seethed. His emotions causing the clouds to darken and the winds to pick up more.

"Be mad at Oliver for not telling us! And mad at Kaldur for not warning you!" Nico shouted as the shadows started to leave cuts in the bark of the trees. "They should have told us so we could be prepared."

"I'm sure they had their reasons," Percy hissed in displeasure.

"What if it had been Annabeth hurt? If she had been hurt, there would be a trail of bodies," Nico shouted at his cousin.

"I know! I know and I'm pissed that they decided not to tell us!" Percy shouted in defense. Lightning started to crack and flash.

"Then why are you defending them!" Nico cried out. "If it was an actual mission, we would have lost a member and potentially two more. I could have lost Will!"

"I'm not disagreeing with that! I know how important Will is to you, because you know how important Annabeth is to me! We're too powerful not to have someone tying us to our humanity! I know you feel it like I do. Walking through there broke our humanity, broke what keeps us mortal. Without Will and Annabeth grounding us, we would be something else," Percy sobbed.

"We never should have joined the League. I should have traveled into the warehouse that night, grabbed your parents and then bolted. I should have done so many things differently. It's not fair," Nico sobbed as he sunk to the ground. The shadows around the pair deepened and shrouded them.

"Our lives are never fair. We serve at the gods' whims," Percy laughed bitterly.

"You ever think about leaving like Luke did?" Nico whispered brokenly.

"All the time," he sighed.

"Nico!" Hazel shouted as she attempted to make her way through the shadows.

"Percy you need to stop!" Jason Todd shouted as he held onto Hazel's hand, trusting the girl to get him to his twin.

Thalia and Jason Grace used their powers to battle the elements that were making a war zone out of the forest.

"Please, you two are tearing the forest apart," Hazel continued to shout as she waded through the shadows and storm.

Both the shadows and the storm lashed at the pair moving through them in an attempt to reach their masters. The storm of shadows had taken on a life of its own.

"This whole mess is my fault," Nico stated as he stared out at his shadow storm.

"Nico, it's not your fault," Percy sighed as he knelt beside his cousin. "Mom doesn't blame you and neither do I. You're my little cousin, practically my brother. If need be, take a break from the team and the Justice League."

Nico looked up in shock, "You can't do that! We made a deal and swore an oath!"

"Yes, I can," Percy smiled tiredly. "I've been thinking about it. Only one of us really needs to be a part of the Just League. I'll stay if it means keeping you three safe."

"No! You don't get to be heroic and selfless on us!" Nico shouted as his shadows fled from the forest in his despair.

"It's in my nature," Percy smirked.

"If you're staying, then so am I," Nico insisted

"You two want to explain what in the Hades that was all about!" Thalia shouted as her brother's legs gave out and she was shouldering him.

"Arsenal is a jackass," Percy muttered as he stood up and assisted Nico up.

Hazel let go of Jason and ran to her brother, and enveloped him into a hug. "Are you okay?" she demanded as she pressed her hands to either side of his face and inspected him.

"I'm fine," Nico sighed warily.

"Nico!" Will shouted as he slid off Mrs. O'Leary and hugged his boyfriend.

"I'm fine," Nico stated as he hugged Will back.

"Percy," Annabeth stated hesitantly.

"I'm alright," Percy sighed. "Thanks for coming." He wrapped his arms around Annabeth and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"I'll always be here for you," Annabeth sighed as she relaxed into his hold.

"Don't do that!" Jason T sighed as he sat down on the ground and looked at his ripped sleeves and inspected if he needed medical attention. Most of the cuts were superficial, one might need a few stitches, Jason thought to himself.

"Agreed," the other Jason stated tiredly.

"How dare I do that?!" Roy shouted as Oliver had cornered him in his apartment.

"Yes, how dare you do that! Do you know how many demigods and gods are reaching out to me because of what Nico and Percy did?" Oliver sighed in annoyance. He had just gotten off Sally's shit list and now he was going to be on it again. Great, just fantastic for himself.

"Oh, I forgot, everything is about Oliver Queen! You didn't tell me about being part demigod!" Roy shouted.

"I couldn't! being a demigod, is not something I can tell people. I took oaths to defend the Legion and that meant keeping it from you, the League, and even Dinah. I couldn't tell anyone unless they already knew or found out!" Oliver shouted back.

"You could have dropped hints!" Roy shouted back.

"I did!" Oliver screamed. He took a breath and sighed. "I did drop hints, but to Will. In the later part of our partnership and as he went off on his own. I started to drop hints about the Legion so that way if he every needed assistance, he could go to them. But then the brainwashing he got from Cadmus made him overlook the hints as they were not important to his mission in joining the League."

"It all goes back to those years Luthor stole from me! It's not fair," he shouted.

"Life rarely is, but you have to stop blaming Lex Luthor for everything that he stole and start moving forward," Oliver whispered in defeat.

"Why should I have to move on? He has yet to pay for what he did!" Roy hissed in anger.

"He may never pay, but you are destroying yourself with this hate. All your friendships are imploding around you. Dick called and told me that you are benched. What are you going to do if you get removed from the team again? I can guarantee that you won't get a third chance. Roy, please. Stop before it's too late," Oliver begged.

"I bet they couldn't wait to tattle on me," he seethed.

"Are you even listening to me? If you don't stop, I can't protect you!" Oliver shouted again.

"I don't need your protection," Roy shouted as he shoved his way past Oliver and out of own apartment. He couldn't believe that he was forced to leave his own place to escape Oliver.

Like I said, we are going to be working through personal issues here. Hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
