Episode 4: Chapter 3
Becca Jones entered school that day at a loose end, so much had changed and she was unsure where to even begin thinking about it.
'I can't believe this...how could I have been so stupid?' She thought in dismay.
She fidgeted with her outfit, apart from her black flats, she wore white, a matching tank-top and mini skirt.
"Becca?"
She turned, startled but then bit her lip as she saw her previous expression reflected on the face of the speaker, Michelle Brown, clad in a black mini skirt, dark grey blouse and black heels. She walked closer to Becca, a look of contrition and sorrow on her face.
"You too huh?" She asked. "You can't stand any of this anymore, huh?"
"Nope, I still can't believe everything that happened...That we did with Rondi." Becca replied. "I just...I definitely can't stand the thought of doing anything like that again."
Michelle nodded. "So we're agreed, if Rondi comes back to us, we make it clear we're done with her?"
"Agreed, there is something else too...we need to talk to Sophie and the others." Becca said. "We have to talk to them, to at least try and plead our case, to make amends."
The dark skinned girl was surprised by her friend's words, her only true friend she realized for Rondi had never been that. Nevertheless she agreed and followed her as they went to look for Sophie and her friends.
As it was summer and a nice day, they found at least four members of the group they were seeking, but the four they found were considered the most important and well-known members of the group, all seated at a bench and table set in the school courtyard, chatting together. One one side of the bench and table set were Sophie and Kyle, clad respectively in ripped blue jeans, a baggy black T-shirt and black sneakers and black basketball shorts, a red T-shirt and black sneakers. Sophie was leaning into Kyle, her head on his shoulder while he had his arm around her. In a similar pose on the other side were Clementine and Violet, Violet in ripped jeans, a tank-top, socks and sneakers, all in white. Clementine meanwhile showed as much leg as Michelle and Becca, but in her case, wearing black booty shorts, along with a yellow tank-top, white ankle socks and sneakers. Becca and Michelle shared a look, swallowed nervously and then approached them.
"Hey um, excuse me?" Michelle began hesitantly.
The four looked up and tensed, with Sophie narrowing her eyes.
"Oh, what do you want?"
Becca grimaced. "I um...look, we know you've got no reason to trust us, after all the shit we put your through, with Rondi and that."
"Yeah, but we...we can't take much more of this nonsense and we're cutting ties with Rondi." Michelle explained. "We don't expect you to forgive us, but we just wanted to apologize, to make amends and at least leave things in peace."
The four shared a look at that, before whispering amongst themselves before finally they seemed to settle on something.
"Well, if you're being serious, we'll soon see." Kyle said. "So yeah, I guess we can give you a chance and leave things alone for now without any further animosity."
"Yeah, but of course, if it turns out you're lying-" Violet began.
Clementine finished. "-We won't trust you every again."
Becca and Michelle nodded, it was the best they could hope for.

Brody swallowed nervously as she stood before the bathroom mirror, clad in her brand new yellow mid-thigh length dress with matching heels. She was in the bathroom at the Garcia house, trying to compose herself. This was something big, she didn't want this to go wrong, it was another step in her relationship with Gabe, their families would be having dinner together and she didn't want things to go wrong. But knowing how uptight and strict Gabe's father could be at times, she didn't want to upset him specifically. She heard the knock at the bathroom door and cleared her throat.
But before she could say anything, she heard Gabe's voice. "Brody, are you okay?"
She smiled at his concern for her and opened the door to step out. He was dressed up too in blue pants, a lighter blue shirt and blue shoes.
"It's gonna be okay." He told her, taking her hands. "I'm nervous too, but know we can do this, everything will be fine."
"I...thanks Gabe, okay, let's do this." She said with a smile.
Nodding Gabe lead the way as they headed for the living room where their families were gathered. Once in the living room Brody looked around and took note of the Garcia family first, the three adults, David Garcia, clad in khaki pants, a beige shirt and brown boots. Gabe's step-mom Kate, in a purple knee length dress and heels, and his uncle, Javier, clad in black pants, a dark blue polo shirt and black shoes.
Then of course were her own parents, Edward and Marissa, dressed respectively in a dark green shirt, jeans and sneakers and a peach blouse, black pants and flats. Then was Gabe's younger sister and Brody's two brothers, Mariana in black leggings and slip-ons and a red sweater. While for her brothers, Eric wore black ripped jeans, a black T-shirt and sneakers, Liam wore khakis, a light red T-shirt and simple red sneakers. It was a very different set of styles, but things did seem fine.
"Ah good, now we're all here." David remarked with a smile.
Kate nodded. "Food's ready, let's start dinner."
Brody and Gabe shared a smile, they had a good feeling about things now, they were just glad that things were finally getting better for everyone, now that Carver was gone and there seemed to be no other problems, all their dramas being resolved, things were good.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
