It was getting close to time to ring in the new year. Rose and Jake were standing over to the side.

"You know I'm glad we are getting another chance." Jake told Rose, he realized now more than ever life was short and he shouldn't waste anymore time.

"I am, too. We deserve some happiness." Rose gave Jake a kiss.

"Yes we do and look at all the happiness you have brought to this town and to me." Jake wrapped his arms around her.

JJ saw them and smiled before looking at Jayne. "It's so good to see her happy. You know when I lost my dad I wasn't sure how life was going to go on but I had you and Gran had this place. Now look at us both."

"Your Gran also had you and she loves her Joey." Jayne winked at him and gave him a kiss.

JJ laughed and took her hand. "Dance with me, Mrs. Scorpio Kelly."

Jayne's eyes sparkled as the two of them started to dance.

Holly laid her head on Robert's shoulder. "I love that they are so happy. Jayne deserves it."

"Yes, she does. You know when she moves out I'm going to miss having her around." Robert admitted to Holly.

"Me too, but I think she will visit plenty. Besides you work with her so you will see her a lot more than I do. I just get to see JJ." Holly replied.

Robert chuckled. "He's not Patrick on your favorite son-in-law level, huh?" He teased.

Patrick walked up, hearing his name. He caught the end. "He better not be."

Holly laughed. "Just as I do all three of my children, I plan on loving the three of you equally."

"Safe answer, I can respect it. Would you like to dance?" Patrick asked Holly.

"Of course." Holly got up and went with Patrick to dance.

Robin hurried over and grabbed Robert's hand. "Come on, dad."

Robert laughed as he got up with his oldest child. "I feel like this was planned."

Robin started to dance with him. "It wasn't but I couldn't pass up the chance. 2025 I'm going to make an effort to spend more time with all four of my parents and Uncle Mac."

Robert's face lit up with a smile. "I would love that. I've missed you."

"I've missed you too, dad. I want to get to know Jayne better too and Ethan." Robin told her father. She knew Ethan better than Jayne but with how much she worked she didn't get to spend as much time with them. She was determined to change that.

"It's almost time!" Rose spoke loudly as she handed out some glasses of champagne and club soda to the ones who couldn't have alcohol.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Happy New Year!" They all shouted.

Holly gave Robert a kiss, a long, passionate one.
