Countdown To Destiny-Ch 8
The day had passed by quickly with the family working hard to make sure that Derek and Penelope could get married before or by the time the clock struck midnight on NewYears Eve so that her dream could come true.
It was 11:30 and JJ, Emily, Sarah, Desi, Shelly and Sandy were in the room with Penelope helping her get ready, she wanted to look good even if she couldn't move much so the girls put a little make up on her and fixed her hair what they could with the way she had to lay.
When they were done they held up a mirror and Penelope smiled and said, "thank you" to which they all smiled and said, "you're welcome" in unison as they stood there looking at the smile on her beautiful but bruised face.
Fran looked down at Penelope and said, "it will just be a few more minutes and then you will become Mrs. Derek Morgan, are you ready for that?", Penelope nodded her head yes and mouthed the words, "soooooo ready".
Desi said, "your wedding will be beautiful, I'm just sorry that you don't get to walk up the aisle like you dreamed of", tears streamed down Penelope's face and JJ quickly wiped them away and said, "don't cry Garcie, don't cry, you're going to ruin your makeup and it's almost time to get you married".
Penelope winced in pain as she moved a little and Shelly said, "are you alright?", she said, "hurting but okay", Fran said, "okay, so I know we can't have a big reception buttttt I fixed a cake and it's your favorite, it's double chocolate and I think you're gonna love it", Penelope looked up at Fran and mouthed the words, "thank you".
Fran took her future-daughter-in-law by the hand and said, "we love you honey and we will do whatever we can to make your day special for you", Emily said, "are you sure that you're okay?", she nodded her head and said, "hungry", Desi said, "don't worry, after you get married we'll get you something to eat".
Dave knocked on the door and said, "can I come in?", Fran said, "yes, yes come in, come in" and he walked over to the bed and said, "okay kitten just nod your head for me if you're ready to do this", she nodded her head yes and Dave said, "alright, let's get this show on the road".
Everybody looked at the door as Derek, the minister and the rest of the family walked into the room and right behind them was Connie, she wanted to make sure that Penelope held up okay during the ceremony.
The minister said, "alright it's almost midnight so are we ready to start the ceremony?", Derek looked at Penelope and then at the minister and said, "we are", everybody took their places and readied for the minister to start the ceremony to bind Derek and Penelope together forever.
