Denny-A fishermen.
Lanna-A one-hit wonder who moves to the island for a bit.
Popper-A bird who follows Denny everywhere.
The King Fish-A fish only available after catching one of each fish.
Chen-An Asian man who owns the general store.
Chari-The Japanese name for Charlie and son of Chen.
One day on Sprout Island, facing the sea, a young woman was fishing, but had no luck.
She was in long, blonde hair, a green headband in two pink ribbons, a green dress with pink and white, a red rose and green ribbon, yellow shoes with red thread and yellow eyes.
A young man approached her.
He was in short, brunette hair, a purple bandana, a purple and black checkered shirt wrapped around his waste, a black shirt and white shirt, blue jeans, blue and yellow boots, dark eyes with dark skin and a necklace.
He had a small, black bird on his shoulder with yellow cheeks.
"Hi, Lanna!" the man said as he sat alongside the beach with her.
"Hi, Denny!" said the woman. "And hi, Popper!" she said to the bird.
"Why are you here?" asked Denny.
"I was talking to the fish!" Lanna said at once.
"The what?!" Denny asked in surprise.
Lanna stifled laughter. "I'm kidding!"
"Huh," said Denny. "I was about to ask what fish think about."
"I think that you'd rather figure what Popper thinks about," said Lanna.
"You're right!" said Denny.
Both Lanna and Denny smiled.
"So! Why are you here?" Denny asked.
"Fishing, of course!" said Lanna. "But I'm troubled."
"Maybe I may help!" Denny said.
"I'd appreciate that!" said Lanna.
Lanna handed over her equipment and Denny placed bait onto it. Then, he cast it in the ocean.
He immediately caught a fish!
"It's an angler!" Denny said.
"An angler for an angler?" Lanna asked.
"Yeah, coincidence, huh?" Denny grinned. "Want to try again?"
"Think I'm ready?" Lanna asked.
Lanna cast her line in. Neither one of them expected a fish, but then, one jumped right out of the water!
"It's a Flying Fish!" Denny yelled. "It has wing-like fins!"
Popper swooped trough the air and caught the fish in his mouth.
"Popper!" Denny yelled. "He does this a lot!" Denny blushed.
"I don't mind!" said Lanna.
Denny sat up. "I consider myself a rather good fisherman. Only I've never found the big one!"
"And what was that?" Lanna asked.
"The King Fish!" Denny said. "Only the best fishermen may even have a chance at it!"
Denny and Lanna spread out on the sand.
"So, what are you on these islands, though?" Denny asked.
"Well, fishing!" Lanna said. "Also, before I visited the islands, I was a singer!"
"You were a famous singer?!" Denny said in surprise.
"Well. No," said Lanna. "I'm a one-hit wonder. I've never had an album."
"Still! Will you sing for me?" Denny asked.
"'Sing',? Lanna repeated.
"Yeah! I'd love to hear your wonderful voice!" Denny said.
"Okay!" said Lanna.
So, Lanna sang for Denny.
"May I hear your voice, now?" asked Lanna.
"Um," Denny stammered. "I don't sing."
"But I want you, too!" Lanna said, pleadingly.
"Fine," Denny said.
Then, he sang! And Lanna sang along!
"Your voice is even better than mine!" said Lanna.
Denny blushed. "Thanks."
It was late.
"How about I walk you home?" Denny asked.
Lanna said, "Yes."
It was cold on Sprout Island because it was Winter and Lanna let Denny in because of that.
Denny looked around the house and noticed all the fishing supplies!
"I see you meant it when saying that you fished as well!
Lanna smiled. "Yes. Now, sleep on the couch, I'll sleep alone. And please, sleep in your clothes.
Denny agreed, seeing as they went to Lanna's house with the clothes on them and weren't in a relationship.
Yet.

The next day, Denny woke up Lanna before leaving to his own house.
"We'll hang some other day, right?" Denny asked.
"Yes! We will!" Lanna said.
"Yeah!" said Denny with a rather awkward hug.
They both embraced for a bit, then Denny and Popper left.
As Lanna brushed her hair and put on new clothes, she noticed the calendar in a corner.
"It's Winter Harmony Day tomorrow!" she said in realization. "I should buy chocolate for Denny! At Chen's!"
So, Lanna went out to buy chocolate.

Lanna went straight to the general store on Verdure Island.
The inside had an Asian man and his son at the counter.
"Hi, Chen!" said Lanna in greeting. "Hi, Chari!"
Chen was in purple and red, a gray headband, black pants, brown shoes, black hair, a relaxed face and a beard.
Chari was in green and red, a gray headband, black pants, red shoes and black hair.
"So! You're here for Winter Harmony Day, right?" asked Chen.
"Yes!" said Lanna.
"That's the holiday where girls give chocolate to boys!" Chari said.
"Unfortunately, we're out," said Chen. "Visit next year."
Lanna ran outside the store.
"What should I accomplish, now?" asked Lanna to herself.
Then, Lanna got an idea!
"I got to get out my fishing nets!"
But before Lanna was able, she got a call on the phone.

Denny went to Lanna's house the next day. He knocked on the door, but there was no response.
"I guess we should check the beach, huh, Popper?" Denny asked his bird friend.
Denny walked to the beach and saw Lanna. Things were normal. Except that she was there with a net!
Lanna spotted Denny.
"Hi, there!" said Lanna. "Look what I caught!"
"With a net?" Denny said. "I've never accomplished anything with nets before! What's it?"
"The King Fish!" Lanna said with glee.
"The King Fish?!" Denny asked in surprise.
"I thought you'd like it!" Lanna said.
Denny held the fish in his hands. "I guess I was working with the wrong gear! Or you're actually a better fisherman than me!"
Lanna smiled. "And you're a better singer than me!"
"I wish we may combine our talents!" said Denny.
"Well, my agent called me last night! He wants me to travel the world and sing for a whole year! I told him you may sing and travel with me!"
"B-but-" Denny was cut off.
"I know you probably need more time to decide, but-" then Lanna was cut off.
"I'll travel with you!" said Denny.
"You will?!" asked Lanna.
"If we may fish may for our own food!"
"Agreed!" said Lanna.
So, a ship soon arrived to allow them on board. And Lanna and Denny traveled the world while fishing for food.
