As she sat at the kitchen table, savoring the warm, flaky scones, Bella couldn't help but think back to when she first learned how to bake. She had been just 12 years old, visiting her grandma for the summer. Her grandma was a skilled witch, known throughout the community for her delicious baked goods.

"Bella, my dear," her grandma said, as she led her into the warm and cozy kitchen. "I have a surprise for you. I'm going to teach you how to bake with magic."

Bella's eyes widened with excitement. She had always been fascinated by magic, but she had never considered using it in the kitchen. "Really, grandma? That would be amazing!"

Her grandma nodded, a twinkle in her eye. "Of course, my dear. Baking is not just about measuring and mixing ingredients, it's about using the power of magic to bring the flavors and textures to life. And I'm going to show you how."

Over the next few weeks, Bella's grandma taught her a variety of spells and incantations that could be used in the kitchen. She taught her how to use levitation spells to mix ingredients, how to use warming charms to heat the oven, and even how to use cooling spells to ensure that the pastries were perfectly chilled before serving.

"This is amazing, grandma," Bella exclaimed, as she watched her first batch of scones rise in the oven, thanks to the levitation spell.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it, my dear," her grandma said, with a smile. "But remember, magic is only one part of baking. You still need to have a good understanding of the ingredients and techniques. And always remember to use the magic with care and precision."

Years later, as Bella stepped into the Hogwarts kitchen, her mind was filled with the memories of her grandma and the lessons she had learned. She was determined to use the magic she had learned to create the most delicious pastries and desserts that Hogwarts had ever seen.

As she began to mix the ingredients for her scones, she muttered the levitation spell under her breath, watching as the dough rose and became light and fluffy. She used warming charms to heat the oven, and as the scones baked, the aroma of freshly baked pastries filled the kitchen. As she pulled the tray of scones from the oven, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. The scones were perfectly golden brown and smelled absolutely delicious. She placed the tray on the counter and let them cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

"Grandma," Bella had said, watching as her grandma effortlessly mixed ingredients for a batch of cookies. "How do you make these treats so perfect every time?"

Her grandma had smiled at her, a twinkle in her eye. "It's all in the magic, my dear," she said. "Baking is more than just following a recipe. It's about understanding the ingredients, and knowing how to use magic to bring out the best flavors and textures."

As Bella stood in her grandmother's kitchen, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had always loved baking, and her grandmother was an expert in the art. Today, they were going to be making pancakes, a recipe that Bella had never tried before.

"Okay, Bella," her grandmother said, smiling at her. "I'm going to show you how to make the perfect pancakes. But first, let's gather all the ingredients."

Bella watched as her grandmother gathered flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, and butter. She measured out each ingredient and placed them in separate bowls.

"Now, the first step is to mix the dry ingredients together," her grandmother said, gesturing to the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. "Make sure to mix it well so that everything is evenly distributed."

Bella followed her grandmother's instructions, stirring the dry ingredients together until they were well combined. She watched as her grandmother added the eggs and milk to the mixture and continued to stir.

"Now, we're going to add the butter," her grandmother said, holding up a small stick of butter. "But we have to make sure that it's melted first."

She used a spell to melt the butter and poured it into the batter, stirring it until it was fully incorporated.

"Now that the batter is ready, we're going to heat up the skillet," her grandmother said, gesturing to the stove. "Make sure that it's hot enough before you start pouring the batter."

Bella watched as her grandmother poured a ladleful of batter onto the skillet, where it sizzled and bubbled. She watched in amazement as the pancake began to take shape.

"Now, we wait for the edges to start to look dry and the top to start to bubble," her grandmother said, smiling at her. "And then, we flip it."

Bella watched as her grandmother expertly flipped the pancake.

"Perfectly on the griddle with a gentle sizzle," Bella exclaimed with amazement.

Her grandmother chuckled and smiled. "It takes a bit of practice, but you'll get the hang of it in no time," she said, as she handed Bella a spatula. "Here, let me show you how to flip it."

Bella took the spatula, her heart racing with excitement. She watched as her grandmother showed her how to gently lift the edge of the pancake with the spatula, and then with a quick flick of the wrist, flip it over.

"Now you try," her grandmother said, stepping back and giving her space.

Bella took a deep breath and carefully lifted the edge of the pancake, her hands shaking slightly. She counted to three and then flipped it, her heart in her throat.

The pancake landed with a soft thud on the griddle, and Bella let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't as perfectly round as her grandmother's, but it was still a decent flip.

"Not bad for your first time," her grandmother said with a smile. "Keep practicing and you'll be a pro in no time."

Bella spent the next hour flipping pancakes, with her grandmother giving her tips and pointers. She burned a few and they came out too thick, but she was having a great time and learning a lot.

As they sat down to enjoy the pancakes, Bella's grandmother said "Remember, baking is not just about the recipe, it's about the love and care you put into it. That's what makes the difference."

As she sat in the kitchen, enjoying her scones, Bella couldn't help but think back to those summer days with her grandma. She knew that her grandma's teachings were the reason she had been able to make these delicious scones.

"Grandma would be so proud," Bella thought to herself with a smile. And she knew that every time she baked something delicious, it was a tribute to her grandma's teachings and the love they shared.
