Cassia was putting the last of her stuff in her backpack when Gemma came in. The two hadn't talked much about her going to South Lake Tahoe but she sensed her mother wasn't fully on board.
"You aren't coming back pregnant are you?" Gemma asked making Cassia whip around.
"Mother! That isn't a worry you need to have," Cassia said sending a mild glare at her mother who was crossing her arms.
"Just be smart. Quinn is a good man but a man. What are you even going to do?"
Cassia shrugged. The goal was time together and relaxing. Maybe some longer walks, some swims. Cassia whipping his ass at a few games.
"Just relax ma, go swimming or read. See the fireworks I guess," Cassia grabbed her bag hearing the roar of a bike. Kissing her mother Cassia hurried to her man.
Quinn took the kiss Cassia gave him before climbing on. He could feel her excitement. Tossing a wave to Gemma, he pulled out.
The two were glad to pull into Quinn's driveway after an uneventful drive. Cassia hopped off giving a stretch before looking around. It was a nice sized cabin and he had his own dock and fire pit. Cassia smiled rushing to Quinn throwing her arms around him. He pulled her closer before kissing her deeply. God, Quinn would die on her lips. The roar of another bike pulled them apart. Cassia was glaring at whoever it was.
"The fuck do you want Tank? Better be life or death," Quinn shouted making the other man back up at the tone.
"Just sayin' hey, you been gone," he said holding his hands up. Quinn pulled Cassia back to him.
"Fuck off, with my old lady and she's ten seconds from tearing you a new one," Quinn threatened. Tank didn't move.
"You interrupted my hello kiss, and it wasn't even important. Are you Quinn's bitch or something?" The insult landed straightening the other man.
"Listen bi…" the man was on the ground holding his jaw from Cassia's punch. She shook her hand before Quinn kissed it.
"Get off my property Tank, you aren't welcome until you apologize," Quinn said his tone deadly. Tank finally listened.
"What the hell was that?" Cassia asked. Quinn sighed leading them inside.
"Tank is recently patched, clingy as all hell. Not many can hack being a Nomad to start, so we'll see."
Cassia nodded turning her attention to the house tour. It was a three bed two and three-quarter bath house. The kitchen and dining flowed into a small living room. Cassia loved the side deck and half finished garage. A large two car garage was detached. It was a perfect house for them, at least Cassia thought it was.
"I love it baby. And a shed by the fire pit right?" Quinn nodded.
They had sandwiches for dinner before cleaning up for bed. They had time for all the other stuff over the next few days. For now, Cassia wanted to be rested for it.
Quinn watched his girl on the deck. She had lived in that two piece, navy of course, and Quinn wasn't complaining. His old lady was beautiful and he was a damn lucky man. He smiled knowing she fit in perfect here. She could canoe, work the boat, and after a couple tries she had the fire pit down.
"Babe, come here!" Cassia called sitting up from reading.
Quinn lifted himself up from the chair. Cassia wrapped her arms around his neck giving him a smile. When she did that he forgot what a terrible man he could be, all the blood on his hands. Cassia knew that but it never changed how she felt- not yet. Her kiss pulled his attention back to her. When they needed air, they pulled back.
"Need something sugar?" Quinn kissed her forehead.
"What time for fireworks?" Cassia ran her hands up his chest. Death of me.
"Leave about 9:30, they start just after 10," Quinn stole a quick kiss.
"Ok, anything you want to do the rest of the afternoon?" Quinn shrugged.
"How about I shower, then we watch a movie or something?" Cassia looked over her skin.
"Sounds fine," Quinn was someone who could stay in the sun all day no problem, Cassia on the other hand had to be more careful.
Quinn tied the blanket on the back of the bike waiting for Cassia. He hated they only had one more day before he had to go back to work and she had to get to her own job at T-M. Cassia took a moment to give him a passionate kiss, pressing herself close to him. That he would miss.
Riding to the firework spot, Quinn was actually looking forward to enjoying it. His kutte got a few looks but Cassia got more looks. Her blonde hair had grown out a bit, she had foregone makeup but the tight jeans and a cut off of one of his shirts pulled its own attention.
"Only you babe," Cassia soothed. Quinn took her left hand giving her a look.
"You need to ask Jax and Clay first…and my crow which we have put off long enough," Cassia's voice held a scolding tone.
"I know baby, I talked to Hap. He's doing it before you get go back to school. I want it on the back of your neck," Quinn said laying out the blanket. Cassia just nodded, she was just happy to finally get it.
Cassia cuddled up to Quinn. She thought over how well their week had gone. They actually got along well, even though she could tell when they did fight it might get loud. Quinn traced his hand to her stomach and she wondered if he would ask. She appreciated that for the most part he did just ask or say what he was thinking.
"Cassia Marie…you want kids?" He whispered. All of a sudden he needed to know.
"If we have them, we have them. I'm fine either way," Cassia said truthfully feeling Quinn relax behind her.
"Love you baby," he said.
"Love you too," Cassia said seeing the first firework go up. She savored the moment, storing it for when Quinn was on a long run or God forbid in jail.
