Avrail was in the car with Mike, they were heading to the doctors to have a ultrasound. Avrail was watching the trees as they passed and it had just rained the night before, so the woods were flooded again. When they pulled into the Doctors office Avrail saw another lady coming out of the doctors office, she was farther along then Avrail. Avrail got out of the car, then went to Mikes side of the car to go in the office with him. After checking in, they waited to be called, it didn't take long. Dr. Cullen gave her the usual exam, and then told her how the ultrasound machine worked. He wanted a internal and external view, which was done for a closer look. Avrail said she was fine with that and soon after getting comfortable, she waited for the picture to become clear on the screen. She soon heard the baby's heart beat, then saw the shaded picture moving around on the screen. The baby looked like it was moving, then she felt a kick. She looked at Mike and asked if he saw that kick, he said he did. After measuring the baby, the Doctor asked if they would like to know the baby's gender, they both replied that they did. He said your having a boy, then pointed out how he knew from the screen position. Avrail liked the thought of a boy, her and Mike didn't talk too much about names, but they would figure it out soon.
They were on the way home, when she told Mike that she had a older cousin who was a vampire. Avrail was 5 when her cousin was 16, she was in love with the vampire, and when he tried to change her, she wasn't able to take the change, and didn't make it. Mike said he didn't know that and it was different how many strange things were already in their lives.
They stopped at the grocery store on the way home. Avrail was looking at some frozen desserts when a lady near by called for her daughter. Avrail asked if she needed help finding her, the lady replied yes and that her daughter was 7 years old. They both went down the isles looking for the child, Mike had went outside to see if the child was out there, she wasn't. When they met back up at the end the isle, none of them had seen her. A lady in line said she seen a child being carried outside and it looked like the child was trying to scream. She snapped a photo of the incident because of how strange it was. The mother of the child looked at the photo and it was her daughter. Avrail saw the photo too, and it looked like a vampire took the child. The store owner called for help and Mike and Avrail decided to get home In case the vampire came back.
Avrai was watching the news later that day, and it announced the child was found in critical condition, they were doing everything possible to find the person behind the attack and asked for help from the public to bring answers to the case.
They decided to go and try Terrance's training field again for a refresher course after the incident. They were at a new field this time, it was setup in a similar manor and the same methods were mentioned. Avrail thought she knew as much as she could about the vampire subject. She and Mike were heading back to their car after the session, and Avrail found she was more interested in food then the vampire stuff, it seemed like it was old news now.
