The next morning, Maya left the Unified Resistance Army base and went to a hotel in Santos which was being used as an underground communications post. In a room, Maya met with Prince Wagan along with Juli and Jessi's uncles, the Clownfish Princes Jason and Jacob, to print out and hand over the intel she gathered.

"Hmm… excellent work, Maya. You have done well," said Jason as he scrutinised the photos Maya took of Parker's documents.

"Who would have thought the climate activist Allegra Beaucardi would be colluding with Parker Zhou?" Jacob mused.

Maya spoke up, "Your Highnesses, I need to get back to the base soon, or the Drylander resistance will get suspicious."

"Before you leave," said Wagan, "I just want to thank you again for breaking me out. We would love to have you as an honorary member of the Heart Heroes alongside Elektra."

"Thank you for the opportunity. I'm just doing this for my kingdom, my world and my friends. I bid you farewell, Your Highnesses."

"Stay safe!" Wagan farewelled as Maya left the hotel. Unbeknownst to her, she was being trailed back to base by Kelvin Galvarro.

Not long after, Elektra's uncle, Electric Eel Prince Maxwell, led his troops to surround the headquarters of the eastern São Paulo division of the Brazilian collaborationist forces in Mogi das Cruzes. Commander Allegra Beaucardi came out of the front gate to confront Maxwell. "What is this? What is the meaning of this?"

"I could ask you the same question," said Maxwell.

Allegra was just as confounded as she was offended. "You led an army to surround my headquarters and you're asking me questions without any context?"

"Commander Beaucardi, what is happening with the Drylander resistance?"

"Well, nothing's been happening around here these past couple of days."

"More like nothing's been happening with you and the Drylander resistance."

"That is some insinuation, Prince Maxwell. I hope you can elaborate on that."

"In that case, I'll come right out and say it. How much did Parker Zhou give you for those weapons you sold?"

"Are you saying I sold weapons to that bigot? Do you honestly think I would be stupid enough to do that?"

"If you were, then I'm glad you're owning up to it."

"Do you have any proof I did it, then? If you can't bring me any proof, then none of you are leaving here alive."

The two sides raised their arms but Maxwell commanded his soldiers to ease themselves. "Colluding with the resistance is punishable by death. Would I have surrounded these headquarters if I didn't have hard proof?"

"Then why don't you bring it out and show us if you don't want to die here?"

Maxwell took out a photo from his pocket and handed it to Allegra. "This is an itemised list of the weapons you sold to Parker Zhou. It was obtained from a drawer in his quarters by the World of Salacia's top superspy, Agent Pangolin."

Allegra became shocked upon seeing the photo. "This is a setup. This is a bloody setup, I'm telling you!"

"Commander Beaucardi! I order you and your men to put down your weapons and come with us, otherwise I'll flatten your HQ to the ground!"

"We're on the same side, Your Highness. This is obviously one of Parker's plans. Surely you're not falling for it?"

"Not gonna cry 'til you see the inside of a coffin, are you? I'm giving you and your men one minute to surrender your weapons." Maxwell and his men readied their weapons.

"You and I both know that I'm not easily fooled, Prince Maxwell." Allegra and her men readied their weapons as well. "Let me tell you, for every one of my men you kill, you're paying with two!" The two sides opened fire as Allegra and her men quickly went inside and barricaded her headquarters.

Upon arriving at the Starfish Palace, the Octopus King received word of the conflict between Maxwell and Allegra and ordered his men on Dryland to stop the fighting and smooth out tensions between the two sides. Both sides lost a lot of their men, but the two generals were unharmed. What was more worrying for him, though, was that the Octopus King's top spy, Agent Pangolin, had been exposed, and there was very little hope of getting her out at this point.

The Octopus King quickly wrote a message and gave it to the Starfish King for him to pass along to his butler. "Ayrton?"

Ayrton arrived as soon as he heard the call. "Yes, Your Highness?"

"Pass this message to Aldo at the Octopus Palace and tell him to use the encrypted channel. The Octopus King says he'll know what to do."

Kelvin followed Maya back to the Unified Resistance Army base. On the way, Maya received a message on her phone; although it was coded, the message told her to find a secluded place to receive an encrypted transmission, which would automatically be deleted once she read it. Naturally, because there are no parks or alleyways in Santos for some reason, her only option was to head back to her room at the base.

Although Maya closed the curtains to her room, Kelvin managed to sneak under and peek through a gap. Maya took out a phone she hid in the pouch under her bed and turned it on to the encrypted messaging app where she usually received her messages from her benefactor, the Octopus King. In it, the message read:

Pangolin
Intelligence was false
Salacian losses vast
Drylander plot confirmed
Cover has been blown
Withdraw immediately if able
Otherwise dispatch Parker Zhou
Any means necessary

Kelvin managed to get away from Maya's room and head to Parker's quarters, where Parker and Angelina were waiting for him. There was a knock on the door; Angelina opened it and once she saw that Kelvin was outside, she let him in.

Parker asked him, "Did you see?"

Kelvin replied, "I did."

"Surprised?"

"I never even realised."

"This is such a dog-eat-dog world. If you realised it, she'd be dead by now. It's only because you didn't that she managed to survive until now."

"So, who is she really?" Angelina asked.

"Don't ask," replied Parker. "Let's make her confess tonight."

After the Octopus King's message, Maya got herself ready to leave. She went to the kitchen to grab a few things, which was when Angelina came in to find her. "Maya? Maya?"

Hearing her voice, Maya turned to see Angelina out the front of the kitchen. "General Mouseling, how can I help?"

"What were you looking for in there?"

"Oh, I was just getting the ingredients ready for tonight's dinner. What's up?"

"Could you prepare a chicken dinner tonight for us generals in the command room? Parker's organising a special dinner for us."

"Sure, I'd love to. What's the occasion?"

"The sea monsters and vegans got into a fight in Mogi das Cruzes today. 30 men are dead and there's another 20 still unconscious. I hear it's not looking so good for them. Parker was happy about this so he decided to throw a dinner party tonight." Maya stared blankly into space until Angelina snapped her out of it. "You alright? Did you hear what I asked?"

"Yeah, yeah, I did. Chicken dinner tonight!"

"Great. Hey, Parker asked me to tell you, don't forget the soup and don't overcook the chicken!"

"Got it, General!"

"Right, we'll see you tonight!" Angelina turned around and left as Maya looked distraught, realising that she had no chance of escape and no other choice but to do what was asked of her.

Maya personally prepared the generals' chicken dinner herself while her chefs prepared dinner for the rest of the troops. She personally set the table and the other dishes, but just as she brought in the soup, she found Parker and the other generals in the room, with Liam and Mauricio standing at the door to prevent Maya from leaving.

Maya laughed as she brought the chicken soup to the table. "Soup's up, everyone!" She looked up to see that the generals weren't taking their seats. "Dinner's ready, generals. Aren't you going to take your seats?"

Angelina said, "Oh, we couldn't possibly eat right now, Maya. We heard a rumour that someone poisoned our dinner."

Maya laughed it off. "Surely you must be joking, General Mouseling. Look, why don't you take a seat and eat up before the food gets cold? I'd better be getting back to the others."

Parker stepped forward as he told Maya, "You may not leave."

Liam and Mauricio took a step inside. As she continued to diffuse the tension by laughing, Maya said, "Surely you wouldn't believe General Mouseling's jokes, Commander Zhou?"

"Oh, I do believe it. I believe it very, very much."

"Surely you're not joking as well, sir?"

Parker took a bowl and poured some chicken soup for Maya. "If you didn't poison anything, then why don't you have some soup?"

"Oh, Commander, I'm not worthy to sit at the same table with you and the other generals. How could a chef like me possibly partake in this chicken soup with you?"

Parker responded, "But you've been working so hard for us these past couple of years. What difference does a bowl of soup make, especially when I'm offering it to you? If you won't drink it, then maybe you did poison our dinner."

"T-T-This can't be right," Maya replied. "Is someone here trying to frame me? Are you trying to frame me, General Mouseling? Alright, I'll take you up on your offer. This chicken soup really is delicious, you know."

Maya took the bowl of soup and drank it. The generals stayed silent as the scene turned into a one-woman monologue. "Ahh, that's some delicious soup. Well, Commander, everything's fine. Why don't you all take a seat and enjoy this soup? Would you like to take a drink, Commander? M-Maybe the generals would feel at ease if you took the lead."

The generals remained silent as they continued looking at Maya. "W-W-What are you still looking at me for? Take a seat and drink up, come on! No? No?"

Maya became frantic as she realised what was happening. "哎, 他奶奶的, why won't you drink! Drink! Drink! Not gonna drink, are you? If you're not gonna drink, then you're gonna die!"

Maya took out a grenade from her pocket. Liam and Mauricio were about to advance on Maya but Parker stopped them. It was also then that the poison began to take effect on Maya. "Not gonna drink, are you? Scared to die, are you? Let me tell you, if you're not gonna drink, then you're not gonna live! Since everyone here knows by now, it's time for me to reveal this charade. My name is Bia, princess of the Abysmal Kingdom, serving on Dryland as a superspy for the World of Salacia, codename – Pangolin."

Maya began to confess to everything. "The one who broke Wagan, Tubarina and Marcello out… was me. The one who poisoned the chicken soup was also me. I may be about to die since I drank it, but if you won't drink, then you're not living any longer!"

Despite this, there was no chance of a miracle happening as Maya began to impart her final words. "King Octopus… Goddess Salacia… My mission… is finally over!"

Maya pulled out the pin on her grenade and dropped the handle as she began cackling in laughter. After four seconds, however, the grenade began to smoke out instead of exploding, having clearly been sabotaged. "奶奶滴! 給我玩陰的是吧? 直接來吧!" Maya stumbled forward, but her body tensed up, causing her to stumble back and fall to the ground, knees first.

Naturally, Parker and the generals had dinner with the other soldiers that night in case the soup wasn't the only thing poisoned in their chicken dinner. Frankly, it was a miracle things went the way they did with Maya instead of her getting arrested. Windy and Marcia were assigned to take care of Maya as Parker had a van called in to take her body to the morgue. Unbeknownst to them, Jason and Jacob were the ones driving that van, having taken out the original drivers and put on their clothes to pose as them; they drove Maya out to the coast, got her onto a boat and sailed out a distance from Dryland, where they dropped Maya into the ocean, leaving her to sink into the saline depths…
