Finn's lips lingered against Rachel's, warm and reassuring. When they pulled apart, he rested his forehead against hers, their breath mingling in the quiet of the moment. Rachel's heart was pounding, but it wasn't from fear or uncertainty—it was from the overwhelming realization that this was where she belonged.

He smiled softly, his hands still cupping her face. "I meant every word, Rachel."

"I know," she whispered, her voice steady. "And I meant what I said, too. You're what I want, Finn. You've always been what I wanted."

Finn's grin widened as he kissed her forehead. "Well, I guess that settles it, then."

Rachel laughed, the sound breaking through the tension that had lingered moments earlier. It felt good to laugh, to feel light, even as the weight of the past few days pressed at the edges of her thoughts. She pulled back slightly, her hands brushing over his arms as she studied him.

"What's next for us?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity and hope.

Finn stepped back and leaned against the kitchen counter, crossing his arms as he considered her question. "Well, I think we've got a lot to figure out. You've got your dream of going back to school and Broadway, and I want to support that. And we've got Serena to think about, too."

Rachel nodded, her thoughts immediately turning to her daughter. "She's everything to me, Finn. I couldn't even think about going back to school if it meant putting her at risk or neglecting her."

Finn's expression softened as he reached out to take her hand. "We'll figure it out together. I know it won't be easy, but nothing about our lives has ever been simple. That doesn't mean we can't make it work."

Rachel's heart swelled at his words. The conviction in his voice, the way he always seemed to believe in her, in them—it was one of the things she had always loved about him. She squeezed his hand, a small smile playing on her lips.

"I don't know what I did to deserve you," she admitted quietly.

Finn chuckled, pulling her into a hug. "You just had to be you, Rachel Berry."

They stayed like that for a moment, wrapped up in each other, before a small voice broke the silence.

"Mommy?"

Rachel turned to see Serena standing in the doorway, rubbing her eyes sleepily. Her tiny voice was filled with confusion and a little frustration. "Why are you guys still awake? It's bedtime!"

Rachel laughed and crouched down to Serena's level. "You're right, sweetheart. Mommy and Finn were just talking about some grown-up stuff."

Serena tilted her head, her curiosity piqued. "Like what?"

Finn crouched down next to Rachel, his easy smile putting Serena at ease. "Like how we're all going to make this big city our new home."

Serena's eyes widened with excitement. "Really? Even me?"

"Especially you," Rachel said, brushing a strand of hair from Serena's face. "We're doing all of this for you, my little star."

Serena giggled at the nickname, throwing her arms around Rachel's neck. "I love it here already."

Rachel held her tightly, her heart swelling with emotion. Finn watched them, his chest tightening at the sight. He knew he hadn't been there from the beginning, but he was determined to be there now—for both of them.

"Alright," Finn said, standing up and ruffling Serena's hair. "Time for all of us to get some sleep. Big day tomorrow."

"What's tomorrow?" Serena asked, looking up at him with wide eyes.

"Tomorrow," Finn said with a grin, "we start building our new life. Together."

Later that night, as they lay in bed, Rachel turned to Finn, her voice quiet but firm. "Thank you for being so understanding about everything. About Matt, about Serena… about me."

Finn turned to her, his hand finding hers under the covers. "Rachel, you don't have to thank me. I'm not doing this because I feel like I have to. I'm doing it because I want to. Because I love you. I always have."

Rachel's breath hitched at his words. "I love you too, Finn. I think I always will."

Finn pulled her closer, their foreheads touching. "Good," he murmured. "Because we're just getting started."

As they drifted off to sleep, Rachel felt a sense of peace she hadn't felt in years. It wasn't just the city, or Finn, or even the idea of Broadway—it was the feeling of finally being where she was meant to be, with the people she was meant to be with.

For the first time in a long time, the future didn't feel so daunting. It felt like home.
