Chapter 17 – The Night

Ines was in the home, watching Luke playing around, while Spots were laying on the one of the couches. She was waiting for her husband and her kids alongside with Han, Chewie and her nephews and niece to arrive from the Trick or Treat, since it was the Witches Night.

At that moment the door opened and her kids came running in her direction showing the buckets filled with all type of candies,

"Mama look how many candies we have!" Alli came, showing the bucket to her.

"Wow, look at that," Ines said looking at it. "How you were able to get so many candies?"

Han laughed.

"Well I have to say that these three," he said pointing at Iris and the girls. "They will be great politicians in the future. They were able to get people to give more candies to all the kids."

Iris looked at her father and tapped her shoulder shaking her head.

"My sweet dear father, that is the beauty of being a woman. Something you men will never know and understand!" she winked at him making Ines laughed.

Han looked at Ines with wide eyes.

"Did you hear this?"

Ines couldn't stop laugh and looked at her kids.

"Get inside and put your pajamas on so we can have dinner."

"How about the candies?" Ben asked.

"Your father and I will tell you the rule. To the 3 of you!" she said watching the kids leaving the buckets on top of the small table that was in the living and saw them head inside to their bedrooms.

Han approached her and looked to the direction of the kitchen, where Luke head right after they got inside the house.

"Not want to worried you but I think you need to talk to Luke."

"Why? What happened?" she frown.

"Something happened when we were waiting for our order in the Dex Dinner. I think he needs you but don't make a scene."

Ines looked at her brother in law when he said that.

"Okay don't worry!"

"Well and we are also going home cause I'm also starving, and you need to take that outfit cause one Leia is enough for me!" he said looking at Iris who laughed. "See you all tomorrow!"

"Bye, have fun!" Ines said waiving at them, watching them all leaving the home.

Once they left she looked at the kitchen.

"R2, please can you watch over this little one for a few minutes?"

R2 beeped and grabbing the 2 buckets filled with candies, she head to the kitchen, where she found her husband getting the dinner ready.

"Dex made these little burger balls for Lukey, since he is still to small to eat a full burger. Look how cute it looks," he said the moment he saw Ines entered.

"It is. Dex is an amazing friend," she said and the looked at Luke. "Han said something happened in the Dex. And you were very quiet when you got home, heading to the kitchen without saying anything. Is everything okay?" she asked rubbing his back making Luke glare at her, who all of the sudden, pulled into a deep kiss, that she accepted right away.

"I will tell you after dinner, I promise."

"Okay, take your time, but I'm here for you no matter what!"

"I know and I want you to know that I love you and only you forever." he said.

"I know Luke. I love you forever too!" she said running her hands towards his blond hair while he kissed her deeply, pulling her closer to him.

"Are you already kissing?" they heard and looking back they saw Padmé looking at them with her hands on her hips.

"Is there a problem miss?" Luke asked her.

"No, but can you do that after we get dinner, cause we are hungry!" Alli replied to them, making Luke and Ines laughed.

"Fair enough, cause actually I'm hungry too!" Ines said.

"Then lets go eat and talk about the candies and when you will eat them, okay?" Luke asked, making the kids nod.

And grabbing everything they head to the living room, and ate dinner, while the kids told Ines how the night went and where they went.

Later on that night:

After putting the kids into bed and put another blanket since the nights were starting to get cold, Ines and Luke went to their bedroom, to brush their teeth and went to bed

Ines was combing her hair when Luke came out of the bathroom and got under the covers admiring his wife and her beauty.

Ines noticed that looking at him though the mirror.

"What?" she asked turning around.

"Come here gorgeous!" he said patting the bed next to him.

Giggling, she got under the covers.

"Are you going to tell me what happened?"

Nodding, Luke told everything that happened in Dex Dinner, about the girl that look Nakari from the back and how he froze for a moment thinking that she was alive.

"I know it is stupid to think that, because I saw her dead body and I was the one who brought her body to her family. So how in the world I could have think she could be alive!"

Ines ran her fingers on his hair.

"It is not stupid. I had that feeling many times too."

Luke frown at that.

"The other day, Gracy and I were in the grocery store and we saw a young man that from the back looked like Edmar. We looked at each other and for a moment we thought it was him. And we both know it is impossible. We saw him died in front of our eyes. So I get us babe."

"But do you know what I also realized when for a second thinking that Nakari could be alive?" he asked to her, which made Ines shake her head. "That I don't love her like I used too. I didn't feel that love when we were together. I was happy if she was alive mostly because Mr. Kelen would have his daughter back. Not because of we had years ago."

"Really?"

"She will always have a special place in my heart. But my love, that only one woman will have. You my wife and the mother of my children."

"I know that. I never doubt that for one second Luke. But you also need to stop blaming yourself for her death. Nakari's death was a tragedy but it was not your fault. Do you understand?"

Luke nod and with a smile he rolled on top of Ines making her laugh.

"By the way, I'm surprise you didn't make a scene. I'm very happy!"

"Well maybe I need stop doubting your love for me," she winked and laughed when he leaning doubt and start kissing her neck.

"You know the kids are very tired and fell asleep right away, so I think we can have our special Witches Night, besides, I believe you are in your fertile moment, right?"

"What are you saying Mr. Skywalker?"

"Let's try tonight," he winked and kissing her deeply, they had some fun while drops of rain started to fall outside.
