For the sake of the story, Carlson is italicized, and Jaden is normal letters. All other characters will have their names specified when they speak, like ""I do my best." Said Freddy." Now let's see if this story is actually any good.

Jaden was lying asleep in his bed. He had been living with his cousin, Noah, for the last month. Jaden was fresh out of high school, and jobless. He lay asleep still, not worrying about finding a job or anything. That is until he heard the familiar voice of his imaginary friend, Carlson, quietly singing a song the both of them liked. "My life is aaaall I have...my rhymes, my pen, my pad...cause where I come from...so often" Jaden, now somewhat awake, smirked. He was always amazed at his imaginary friends voice, until he realized he'd always have a perfect voice because of him being...well, imaginary. "Dude, I wish you actually slept like I did. That way I wouldn't wake up with you singing "M y . L i f e" or whatever every morning." Jaden groggily spoke as he sat up, looking over the form of his friend.

Carlson, looking smug like always, shrugged, his wooden armor laced with small bit of metal clanging when he did. "You made me bro, YOU'RE the one thinking of me singing that song. And imagining me with...samurai armor on all the time. Don't get me wrong, it's cool, but..." Carlson trailed off, looking at the wooden, clunky armor on his forearm. Jaden just chuckled "But?" Jaden patiently waited for Carlson to speak. "Well, I dunno...guess it just gets heavy after a while? Although that's the point of armor...man just get your ass outta bed already!" Carlson jumped out of his wooden with a conceding grin, realizing he wouldn't be changed visually or physically, and that he had no real point to his argument. Jaden chuckled cheekily, and then he swung his legs over his bed, the wood creaking slightly as he stood up and stretched, bringing his arms over his head, making his shirt barely slide up enough to reveal his belly button before he relaxed and groaned. Carlson rolled his eyes and smiled at the exaggerated stretch. "That good, huh?" He asked before they began to walk to Jaden's bedroom door.

Jaden only nodded and smiled a tiny bit before Carlson "held the door open" for him, then followed suit into the small living room of the apartment. Noah was already awake, getting ready for work. "Yo, Jaden. You gotta get a job or something man. It's getting tough to support you now. I know your mom and dad are...I know they aren't here anymore, but you've gotta get back on your feet, man...I would love for you to stay here, but you'd have to help pay rent, obviously." Noah said briefly before he stood up from the table in the kitchen attached to the living room, taking a protein bar wrapper and tossing it into the trash can located in a small rolling cabinet door by the sink. "I know, Noah. I've been trying to find a job, but nobody wants to hire someone with a diploma anywhere. It gets annoying, but I'm gonna make sure I get a job. Don't you worry." Jaden said with a somber confidence. Being reminded that his parents were deceased wasn't the best feeling, but it was necessary due to Noah agreeing with Jaden's late mother to let him stay there for a month or two to let him recover from anything happening.

Noah only smiled and nodded, thinking about how proud he was that his cousin had turned out so well despite everything he'd been through. "I'm not a two steppin man. I said "I do not dance..."" Carlson sang softly to himself. Him and Jaden had both been enthralled with the intricacy and beauty of rap music recently. It had become their favorite genre of music. "You remember any jobs we might have seen recently?" Jaden turned to Carlson and spoke quietly, walking to the front door of the apartment while getting his shoes on. "Hm...Oh what about that uh...shit what's it called..." Carlson snapped his fingers rapidly until he got what he wanted, an answer for Jaden. "OH YEAH! That fuckin uh...that little bear place? You saw the sign yeah? Freddi Fff...uh...Freddi something something. They spelt Freddi with an "i." That place." Carlson said confidently. Jaden looked left and right rapidly to jog his memory, which worked. Jaden gasped and stood up, one shoe on his foot. His other still just covered by only a sock. "Yeah! I remember so many rumors about that place. It's called Freddi Fazbears Pizza Palace I think. I definitely saw an ad for it somewhere." Jaden said as he slipped his left foot into the respective shoe before opening the door, then closing it. He back tracked to the kitchen. Then into a door by the dining table. Noah looked over at Jaden. "Headin out?" Noah asked as he washed some dishes. "Yep. Got an idea for a job I might be able to cop!"

With that word, Jaden closed the garage door, and Carlson floated through the door. Jaden opened the garage door by hand, then he took his bike out. THEN, he closed the garage door, and started pedaling as fast as he could without exerting himself too much so he could look nice. He always dressed in a somewhat business casual outfit daily, so he had nothing to worry about outfit wise. Carlson jogged alongside, the metallic and wooden clanking and smacking of the armor loud, but not loud enough to smother his voice as he sang along side the speeding bike. "When the MCs came, to live out the name, and to perform..." He sang loud enough for Jaden to hear. That was Jaden's current favorite song, "Liquid Swords," By GZA. Carlson knew this, so he sang it while jogging alongside the bike. Unfortunately, Carlson couldn't beatbox the beat or anything while singing. He wasn't imagined to be THAT cool. After about 5 minutes of rapid pedaling and a near car crash at an intersection, the boys arrived at a small brick building. It looked quite nice. It had clearly been pressure washed recently, and it had any missing lights in the sign outside of the restaurant and on any signs. Jaden locked his bike up and went up to the double glass doors.

Jaden pushed the doors and...they didn't budge. "Bro you just pushed a pull door. You know what that means? Aura loss." Carlson said before both the boys giggled at the idiotic concept. They stepped, or rather, Jaden stepped in, and Carlson floated in, to the bright and colorful establishment. The floors were checker board patterned, but black and white. There were little fake clouds on the wall, drawings of what the boys assumed to be from previous customers and their children's creative thoughts. Carlson went to a different area, and Jaden stepped towards a blue skinned person who had bright blue bunny ears flopping to the left and right of their head. Carlson, due to his bond, was practically suctioned next to Jaden. Carlson stood there, unhappy that he couldn't see the cute little drawings the kids made. Jaden tapped the light blue colored girl on the shoulder and she jumped, turning around and staring at him for a second before speaking. "Hello there! What can I do for you, sir?" She asked, her face almost too perfect to be human. Jaden, being a rather short lad standing at 5'6 was eye to eye with her. "Hi, I'm...I was wondering if you were still hiring for that night guard position? If you are, could you point me to someone who I could get more in depth about it with?" Jaden asked politely. Carlson kept examining the surroundings while the girl smiled politely and nodded, clenching a metal platter by the bottom and holding it up to her stomach by the bottom half. "Of course! My boss is just over in that room" The girl said while pointing over to a small, black, and grainy looking door that read "office." Jaden looked over to the door, and then to the girl again. "Alright, thank you uh..." Jaden looked around her body for a name tag but couldn't see one. She giggled and extended her hand while covering her mouth to hide her smile. "I'm Toy Bonnie, but you can call me Tabby cause it...it just makes sense." She shrugged, making Jaden chuckle and nod. "Alright, thank you, Tabby." Jaden then stepped to his left as she gave him a small wave, and then he walked to the door. He knocked on it, and a man in a button up white shirt, black dress pants, and a white bow tie opened it a few seconds after. "Hello...how can I help you?" The older man said almost skeptically. "Hi, I'm Jaden...I was hoping to see if you'd be looking to consider me for the night guard position?"

As soon as Jaden finished his sentence, the older man's expression lit up with a proud smirk. "Come RIGHT in, young man." The man stepped back and opened up the door for Jaden to walk into the office. Carlson phased through it when he followed behind Jaden. The man took a seat at a small wooden desk and motioned to a leathery chair on the adjacent side of the desk, studded with strange beads in the arms for texture and good looks, one would assume. The man was seemingly giddy as he sifted through cabinets of paper in his desk and around in file cabinets in the small office space. He spoke as he searched, "I'm so glad someone finally came in for the job without using the rumors as an excuse..." He said with a relieved smile. "I'm gonna be honest, sir..." Jaden saw Carlson motioning to stop speaking, because he knew what he was gonna say. "Rumors are just rumors, so they shouldn't cloud your judgement." Jaden said after thinking of what to say instead of his original thought. Carlson nodded and gave a proud thumbs up.

A few minutes later, Jaden was signing papers to get on the payroll. It felt too easy. Too good to be true, but the owner who now had been labeled as Mr. Fazbear by himself assured Jaden that it was totally legit, and he promised nothing but easy and well paying night shifts, lest someone break in. Jaden stood up along with an eager Mr. Fazbear, and they shook hands, sealing the job for Jaden. "Thank you again, Mr. Fazbear. You won't regret hiring me." Jaden had an exceptionally relieved look on his face, and Mr. Fazbear gave one last smile. "I'll see you tonight, Mr. Makester." Jaden walked out, happy as all hell, and not realizing that he was about to walk into someone. "Yo dumbass!" Carlson called out, but it didn't change the outcome. Jaden had bumped right into a brown skinned girl with a cream colored spinal area. She looked back sharply, seeing a grown man had run into her. "Sir, please watch where you're going. I was trying to give these sweet kids an autograph." The brown girl with small round ears on the left and right of her head said. "This is probably Freddi." Jaden thought to himself, based on the brown bear appearance, the microphone, top hat, and short brown hair. "Oh! Uh, yeah, sorry...I was just really in my own world. I just got hired here and now I'm not getting kicked out of the apartment I live in. Sorry again." Jaden said as he nervously scratched his arm. Freddi raised an eyebrow at his statement. "Night guard? Well...don't be like the last guy." She said in an almost petty and dismissive manner before turning back to the kids and becoming much friendlier and more amicable. Jaden walks off, blushing at his lack of awareness for his surroundings. He then realizes that it's coming up on lunch time for him. He stops before leaving, and he back tracks.

Jaden and Carlson sat down at a table in the middle of the large room where Jaden had accidentally bumped into Freddi. "What was her problem? You think she's on her robo-period?" Carlson asks genuinely. Jaden audibly groans at Carlson's stupidity. Despite being imaginary, he was rather different from Jaden. Jaden thought of him as the ultimate friend. Air headed at times, funny, and talented. Carlson chuckles at his feigned idiocy. "I mean, you're getting food, right? You got to? You're here by yourself sitting at a table in the...whatever this place is. Man this is a strange design for a dining area. You've got this big ass stage, tables scattered around it, big and small, and then you've got booths in the corners of the room." Carlson stated. Jaden noticed the booths and immediately bolted for an empty one. The less social interaction, the better. After about 2 minutes of waiting and talking to Carlson about how he thinks the job will go, he's approached by a light yellow skinned girl with short, silky yellow hair, purple eyes, and...minimal clothing. Jaden notices her standing at the table now, and his head jolts over to her. "Oh! Man you scared me..." He states with a small relieved smile while she giggles quietly and puts a pen onto a notepad. "Sorry for scaring you sir. I'm here to take your order. Do you know what you'd like to eat?" She asked as she tapped the pen onto her head gently, needing something to do with her hands. "Uh no. I actually don't even know where the menu is..." Jaden states with a skiddish smile. The yellow girl reaches towards the wall where a blue button resides.

Jaden and Carlson watch as a small holographic display is projected onto the table, showing all the menu options. "Wait that's actually dope..." Carlson says in wonder. "Oh damn!" Jaden exclaims as he looks at the options. "Please try to keep the language to a minimum when there's kids around, sir." She said politely. "Oh, sorry! For sure. I'm a very eh...vulgar person, I suppose." Jaden says, blushing even more from his embarrassment. "That's alright. Have you figured out what you want?" She asks while leaning in, ready to gather the information of his order. "Yeah um...can I do a medium cheese pizza with stuffed crust?" Jaden asks as he looks over to her, looking her in the eyes before trailing down to her chest where her name tag resides, reading Chica. "Absolutely! I'll be right back with that." Chica says as she writes it down on her pad and turns away. "Thanks, Chica." Jaden says to her. She pauses for a second, looking away still. She'd never really ever been called by her name due to her robotic status. Having someone show her that level of respect for the first time made her feel something she hadn't before. She then continued to walk After a few seconds of processing his thanks. Carlson hums a song that Carlson had "sang" in choir in high school. In reality, he hadn't, but he felt like he had. Carlson was pretty much a real person to Jaden. He didn't see him as imaginary. He had his own family, background, experiences, and life. Yet he didn't. Not really, anyways. "He's got the iiiitty bitty baaaabyyyy...in his haaaands." Carlson sang softly with a raised soft palette, and a rich, resonant sound in his throat. Jaden halfway listened, but he was more focused on Freddi. She seemed to be randomly glancing at him with a cold look. "Dude, you see the brown chick, right?" Jaden whispers while staring at Freddi who is bent over and talking to a little boy. "Yeah, that's Freddi, right?" Carlson inquired. Jaden only responded with a slow nod. He shrugged, thinking she was just being cautious from his carelessness earlier. "Dude, she's TOTALLY looking over at you. You know how Mr. Fazbear said they got sentient minds now? She's probably just salty as fuck for being bumped into earlier." Carlson assures Jaden as Jaden takes notice of Chica coming back to the table with a small metal platter with the pizza he had ordered. "Thank you," he says meekly. Chica walks off with a smile, and Jaden nabs a piece of the pizza. Carlson watches him eat it with his head in his hand, and his elbow on the table. Well, he tried to do that, but his armor made it a little difficult. "Dude that looks so fuckin good..." Carlson says as he stares at the pizza. Jaden only nodded. He finished the slice in about a minute, then spoke. "Dude, that shit was better than Papa John's stuffed crust..." Jaden said incredulously. "NO WAY!" Carlson hollered. Papa John's stuffed crust was his favorite, and he couldn't believe there was something better. "Y'know, having this prebuilt mind and stuff kinda sucks...I can't try things that are new, but I've already got these opinions on other things. It's really weird." Jaden sighed and shrugged. "I guess that's just kinda how being an imaginary friend works..."

After about 20 minutes, Jaden ate what he wanted, and he got a box to take the rest home for Noah or for dinner. He paid, got up, and began walking across that black and white tiled floor, craning his head to look a the wooden stage where three animatronic girls were performing. There was a dark purple skinned girl, Freddi, and Chica. Jaden was confused as to who the purple one was, but he figured he'd meet her later that night. Once outside, Jaden unlocked his bike and Carlson jogged alongside him back to the apartment. "So what're your thoughts on the place, bro?" Carlson asked as his armor clanked and clobbered around him. "It seems pretty dope, I can't lie. If I get to watch it for 6 hours a night and that's all, this'll be free money." Jaden said as he let his bike cruise without pedaling.

Back at the apartment, Noah had already left for work, so it was just Carlson and Jaden left alone. Jaden decided to nap, just so he could have a little more energy for the night shift. He went to his bedroom, plopped into bed, turned the fan on, and fell asleep after about 5 minutes. Jaden once again woke up to the sound of Carlson singing. This time, he was singing just a single two notes. He was singing a C# in the second octave, and a G# in the second octave, creating a low, vibrating 5th in the room. Jaden slowly opened his eyes, almost feeling at peace with the low frequency hum. He loved when Carlson sang two or even three notes at the same time. It was always so cool to him. Then, Carlson added a C# in the third octave, creating a lovely and relaxing stream of sound. Jaden sighed, feeling relieved, just being able to hear the impressive vocal range and abilities of his friend. Finally, he sat up and Carlson abruptly stopped, noticing Jaden was awake. "It's crazy that you can do that. Even though I created that, it's still crazy to hear three notes being sang at the same time by he same person." Jaden said as he looked to his phone. It was now 3PM. He had been napping for about 2 and a half hours. "Yeah...it's so damn cool, and I'm the guy who actually has the ability!" Carlson said with a small chuckle. Now, the boys had about 4 and a half hours until they'd have to go to the pizzeria to start their first day. "What to do..." Jaden pondered aloud before grabbing his Xbox controller. "I'm gonna play some rebirth since they brought it back recently." Jaden said excitedly as he turned the Xbox on, and then the TV. Carlson watched as Jaden played once the game loaded and the match started. The fact that rebirth island was brought back to Call of Duty was astonishing to both the boys, but neither of them complained. Carlson decided to take his helmet off, since it was getting too hot being in one room with another person. As his helmet clanked onto the bright, orange-brown wooden floors, Jaden glanced at his buddy. Carlson shook his head to the right, making his golden, short, and fluffy blonde hair bounce to reveal his full face. He had decent face proportions, bright yellow, almost invisible eyebrows, beard hairs, and mustache hairs. He had grey eyes, and he looked directly at Jaden. "Sometimes I forget I can actually take the helmet off." He said with a small chuckle. Jaden focused back on the game with a small smirk on his face before he spoke. "Damn bro, you're sexy." Jaden said with a straight face. "Maaaan what." Carlson said with an amused grin before both boys giggled like idiots.

About 3 hours later at around 11:20, Jaden turned the game off reluctantly. His heart raced as he realized he'd be legitimately going to the place and working. Carlson stood up and Jaden got off his bed. Carlson looked down at Jaden, since he stood at a firm 6'4. "You bout ready?" Carlson asked as he adjusted his armor and put his helmet back on. "Ready as I'll ever be..." Jaden said nervously. Jaden walked through his cousins apartment quietly, not wanting to wake him up. Carlson followed along, silent to the house, but loud to Jaden. They snuck into the garage, opened the large garage door, then closed it after moving the bike out. This time, Carlson got onto the bike with Jaden, standing on the back bike pegs and clamping his hands to Jaden's shoulders with each respective hand. With that, the boys were off, cruising in the night to the pizzeria.

I do not own any of these characters. Scott Cawthon is the original creator of every character except the ones you probably haven't seen in the games.
