I know there's a good chunk of grammar errors in the last chapter. Sorry for that, I revised it as well as I could, but I'm still bound to make mistakes. I also didn't realize the time descriptions were a little wonky. Bare with me while I get used to writing my first story.
While Jaden pedaled, Carlson hummed a low, almost menacing tune. It was the beginning to a song called "Astral Traveling." It was another favorite of Carlson's, solely because of the lyricism and the album it came off of being about a superhero and villain. Jaden focused on not crashing while he drowned out Carlson. He loved to hear him sing, but there were times when he had more important things to give his attention to. Once again, Jaden reached that intersection. The intersection was a four way intersection with one set of traffic lights currently out. It was like playing Crossy Roads but with a bike...and there's a lot more to lose. After about 10 minutes of waiting patiently, Jaden seized a chance to cross. He bolted as quickly as he could to the other side into a shopping center where his place of work resided.
"My goons blood thirsty, they will rush ya like the Soviets." Carlson said quietly as Jaden locked his bike up against a bike rack. "Which one is that again? I know it's off the Czarface album, but which song is that?" Jaden looked back at Carlson as he spoke. "It's "Astral Traveling" with Vinnie Paz." Carlson stated before he jolted up and stared at the car Jaden was pedaling right into since he had been looking back at Carlson. "CAR!" He yelled, but it was too late. Jaden looked in front of him, and he didn't get to react before he was flying over the hood of the car, his bike flying up as Carlson flew over the hood with him. Jaden rolled onto the ground, and Carlson thudded, barely bouncing up due to his immense weight from the armor and just his body. After a moment of Jaden lying still and catching his breath, he sat up and brushed off the pebbles in his palm, his skin burning from trying to lessen the blow on his whole body. Carlson sighed and took his helmet off. "Fuck...Dude, get up! We got..." Carlson checks his watch and resumes his speech. "7 minutes until 12!" Jaden sat up and gasped at that statement. Jaden slowly stood up, the rocks of the parking lot crunching and shooting out from under his shoe as he shifted his feet. "Fuck, let's go..." He huffs out exhaustedly. Carlson cupped his helmet down against his hip and walked alongside Jaden.
Near the front of the establishment, there was a bike rack. Jaden locked his bike up and looked around. He was under an awning in a shopping center, a Payless to the right of the pizzeria, a Walmart to the left, and more places to the right of the strip of businesses. Jaden pulled the door, smiling softly at the memory of him pushing it the first time, and Carlson making that stupid comment when he did. The air was a tad colder than when he'd previously came in. There was no happy music, no kids running around, no people. Just Jaden and his imaginary friend...and those robot chicks on the stage. "Fuck...ay, let's just dip to the security office. I'm scared." Carlson stated honestly. Jaden nodded and did his best to jog into the main area, down a hallway, and into a room that had some yellow lockers at the back, a black, flat top desk, a small metal fan, a poster of the three animatronic girls on the wall, and some drawings from kids. There was a single, large, wheeled office chair in the middle of the room. Jaden took notice of the yellow lockers first, and he saw a note on them. The note read "Jaden, welcome to Freddi's. I'm so glad you filled this position. In the third locker from the left, there is a night guard outfit. If it's too small, let me know. That was the previous guards before he quit, but I thought you and him had similar builds, so I hope it fits well. And don't worry, it's freshly cleaned." Jaden takes the note off the locker and sets it on the desk. Then, he opens the locker to see a light, almost baby blue button up, navy dress pants, and a black hat that reads "security" above the bill. Jaden grabs the hanger holding the shirt and pants, then the hat off a different hook in the locker. "I'll wait outside the office." Carlson said as Jaden nodded and took his current outfit off. He slipped on the pants and shirt quickly, and he noticed the pants were slightly longer than his legs, but they fit fine other wise. Carlson stepped in once he heard the pants zipper fly up. "Looking bodacious, bro." Carlson said with a sly, idiotic grin. Jaden just huffed a small bit of air out of his nose and shook his head. Carlson sat on the desk, but he quickly hopped off when he noticed a slim, black laptop that blended into the desk was there. "Oh shit, dude there's a laptop here." Carlson pointed at it. "Oh damn, you think the last guy left his shit on accident?" Jaden asked as he slipped his thumbnail under the slit of the laptops mid section, and he lifted the screen up. Immediately, an image of the front stage where the robot girls stood popped up. Jaden flinched slightly at the sudden image appearance. He noticed a small menu in the bottom right of the screen too. It was almost like a family tree, except it wasn't symmetrical, and the family members were sections labeled with numbers and letters. "1A?" Jaden muttered confusedly. He noticed 1A was highlighted in green. He clicked a different camera labeled 1C. It highlighted green, and then it cut to a feed of a curtain that was spangled with stars all over. It was also a nice bright, but not too bright shade of purple. "Weird...Yo Carl, did we just not see this when we came here earlier?" Jaden points to the monitor as he looks over at Carlson. Carlson leans over with his arms crossed and shrugs. "Guess so. Wanna go check it out?" He asks with a cheeky smile. "Hell nah!" Jaden says with an almost stunned smile. Carlson giggled and the boys continue to check out the cameras. They look through all of them until they notice something on 1A. Two of the girls were gone. The purple bunny one, and the light blue bunny one. Jaden's eyes widen noticeably and Carlson takes notice. He looks at Jaden's laptop and his eyes also widen.
"Did someone break in and steal them when we were checking everything else out?!" Jaden asks frantically as he grabs his phone and turns his flashlight on. "I dunno, we gotta check!" Carlson and Jaden bolt out the right door and run down the hall. They look around frantically, trying to spot any sign of a burglar or trespasser. They don't see anything at first glance. They check through the whole party area, then the parts and service room. Then, the bathrooms, then the kitchen, then the supply closet. Nothing. "Bro, what the fuck..." Jaden says as he tries to slow his breathing. Carlson starts walking down the hall first, but he freezes at the office window. Jaden jogs down quietly, freezing as he sees the two animatronic women in the office, chatting and looking around. Carlson backed away slowly and Jaden just stared. The fact that the girls were moving wasn't his biggest concern. There was something...different, about them. They seemed to improve...proportionally. "Bro...They're baddies!!" Carlson says like an idiot. Jaden silently facepalms and stares at them. How the hell did their bodies shift to...THAT? They looked like models for crying out loud. Jaden silently began to step back, not wanting to attract their attention. "Just shut up and walk away slowly." Jaden responded mentally to Carlson, their thoughts connected like they'd always been. They do exactly as Jaden said, but suddenly, Carlson fainted. He was a ghostly pale color, more than usual, and his pupils were widened, almost to where his entire eye was pupil. Jaden's head jolted down to look at Carlson. "Carl?!" He whisper yelled as he swiftly kneeled and grabbed his best friends head. Jaden did all that he could without being too loud, but it was no use.
Carlson was out for what seemed like hours. Which it was. He wasn't awake all through the night. And through the night, Jaden encountered many strange things.
It was barely 12:02, and Jaden was doing his best to wake his friend. He slapped, tapped, kicked, snapped, kissed, blew in his ear, shook, and yet he didn't wake up. He heard the animatronic women down the hall walking out of the office and talking, so he bolted. He ran to the mens bathroom and hid in a stall. "What the fuck?!" Jaden hugged himself on a toilet as he tried to keep his wits and stay calm. He was trying to think of how he could help Carlson. Then, he realized something. Carlson hadn't been teleported or flew over to Jaden. He was definitely outside of the normal range he could be without being flown to Jaden. Why wouldnt he fly? It would happen if he was asleep normally, so what's the issue now? Jaden spent the next 2 hours hiding. It was about 2:13, then he heard it. Carlson. He heard a gut wrenching, dread filled scream, followed by rhe clanking of his armor, heavy footsteps, and fearful, rapid breathing, which quickly approached the mens bathroom door. It slammed open, and carlsons voice reverberated as he spoke. "JADEN, ARE YOU IN HERE?!" Jaden hesitated, but he sat up and whispered. "Bro? I'm in the middle stall!" Carlson bolted over and slammed the stall open as soon as he heard Jaden unlock it. Carlson looked...redder. He looked like his skin was peachier, his eyes were more animated, and he heaved like he actually had ran, which wasn't typical since he wasn't real. Jaden's reality got shattered when he heard Carlson say, "They can see me!"
Jaden blinked a few times, not entirely processing what he said. Carlson still panted, not being used to deprivation of oxygen. "...what?" Was all Jaden could muster before Carlson took a deep breath. "I dont know why, I don't know HOW, but the animatronic chicks could all SEE ME. They fucking TOUCHED me, bro!" Jaden shivered. What the hell was happening? First, the animatronic chicks all looked like the most physically attractive women you could ever imagine, they moved around, and now his imaginary friend was physically manifested into the real world? "Carl, we gotta fucking leave, bro. It's what...2:16?" Jaden said as he brain stormed. "We need to just leave, cause this is fucked." "No shit, bro!" Carlson said with worry laced in his tone. Jaden could hear the quiver in his vocal chords. Was this really real?
A shiver ran down Jaden's spine as Carlsons panicked face filled his vision. The stupid white and black tile of the bathroom floor, the teal stall door and walls, the pungent smell of a typical bathroom, all of it was overloading Jaden's senses. Jaden bolted up off of the toielt seat and accidentally knocked Carl onto his ass. *Clank! Thud-* "Ow, fuck, bro...watch where you throw your entire body around..." Carlson said as he rubbed his back, since a dull throb had shot up through his spine after landing on his tailbone. "S-sorry...I just...FUCK, man!" Jaden was now panicking, unable to cope with the bullshit that was being thrown his way. He grabbed his head, then rubbed his cheeks in circles. His heart was racing. In fact, it was beating so fast and hard, that he couldn't hear Carlson suggesting that they try to run for the exit. Then, a sharp, small point of pain on Jaden's face made him come back to his senses...mostly. "Ah-! Fuck, what the...?" He looked over to Carlson who's finger was curled into a flicked out finger. "My bad, you just weren't listening. I was trying to say that we need to run for it now." Jaden looked into Carlson's eyes and nodded. "Okay...on three, I'll shoulder charge that bitch open, and we book it to the exit." Jaden says as his hands twitch and shake slightly. "Okay, right behind you..." Carlson says with a similar anxiousness in his voice as Jaden had. "One..." Jaden said as he took a stance that gave him the ability to leap off his foot. "Two..." He says, turning his right shoulder to the door. "Three!" He huffs out as he launches himself off his foot, ramming his shoulder into the door. It flies open and then...stops after a couple inches of opening. Something heavy blocked the charge. He bounced off the door, and a thud was heard on the other side of the door. Jaden rammed into the door again, and it flew open, scraping a brown, smooth, flat foot. The boys bolted to the exit door and pushed. Then they pulled. Then they pushed again. Then they went back and forth between those two actions before realizing they're locked inside with no key. "OFFICE!!!" Jaden yells. They turn on their heels and bolt through the long party tables lined with hats, the white table cloth dotted with red circles crinkling as the boys use them for support, or even vaulting over them. Carlson was the one taking the more daring route. He lept over a table, placing his two hands in front of him. He pushed off with his feet, bringing his knees up to his chest and lifting his ass into the air so he leapt over the table swiftly. His heavy armored shoes landed on the floor, and he took the opposite hallway route to the office, while Jaden went down the one he'd already been on route to. Jaden, down the east hall, and Carlson down the west hall, boltwd as fast as they could. They met in the office and hid under the desk, unaware that there were heavy security doors that they could close with the press of a button.
Again, there's probably a bunch of spelling errors in this chapter. I hope this is good writing, because I don't know what is lol. I'll do my best to look over these chapters, but it's hard to read and notice typos on a phone that won't autocorrect words that are barely mistyped.
