Hanukkah First Night Dinner

"Yes, Mister Jacinto?" Toro asked.

"Please take these bags to suite 204 for our chef's family." Jonathan requested.

"Right away, Sir." Toro answered.

Toro took the suitcases and duffel bag that belonged to Isabella up to suite 204.

"Bella, would you mind helping Eureka set the tables? I am up to my neck making plates of latkes and applesauce over here." Sam said.

"Sure thing, Aunt Sam." Isabella answered.

Isabella started to help Eureka in the dining room.

Alan finished putting up the wreath and was sweaty and thirsty.

Alan went up to his family's suite to see how Nancy was feeling and to grab himself a cool refreshing drink of water.

After getting his water, Alan went into the bedroom that Suzie, Anne, Nancy, and Mimi all shared.

"Any better, Nance?" Alan asked.

"Much better, thanks Alan! My appetite has even returned as long as I stay away from acidic foods and beverages for the time being," Nancy answered. "by the way, what smells so good? Will we be having Yorkshire pudding for dinner tonight?"

"No, since tonight is the first night of Hanukkah," Alan answered Nancy. "we are having matzah ball soup, latkes with applesauce, and sufganiyots."

"That sounds heavenly! I'll be right there!" Nancy exclaimed.

"I'll tell Miss Gorgonio not to give you anything acidic to drink with dinner." Alan said to Nancy gently.

"Thank you, Alan." Nancy said.

"Anytime, Nancy." Alan said.

Alan quietly left the room to give Nancy some time to change her clothes for dinner in peace.
