School's Out For The Holidays
On a chilly Friday afternoon at Eisenhower Community College, Stanley Chan was in his home classroom shivering his shoulders off while at the same time, he watched the clock on the wall.
"Come on, you slow poke clock, strike three already!" Stanley said through chattering teeth.
"C-C-C-Christmas." a boy named Henry Davis said through chattering teeth.
"C-C-C-Christmas." a girl named Kelsi Anderson said through chattering teeth.
"C-C-C-Christmas." a boy named Travis Oleson said through chattering teeth.
"C-C-C-Christmas." a girl named Ana Gomez said through chattering teeth.
Suddenly, the clock struck three times.
"Freedom!" Stanley exclaimed, he was clearly excited.
Stanley heard the sound of his brother, Henry Chan's voice calling his name.
"Come on, Stanley, we have to pick up the others from school!" Henry called.
"I'm coming!" Stanley called back.
The eldest Chan brothers' first stop was Lincoln High School, the same high school that Henry and Stanley themselves had graduated from to pick up Suzie, Alan, Anne, and Tom.
It was warm in the Chan van due to the heater being on.
When Henry and Stanley arrived at Lincoln High, Suzie, Alan, Anne, and Tom were waiting for them.
"About time," Suzie said to Henry and Stanley. "we were about to become human freezy pops out here!"
Suzie, Alan, Anne, and Tom quickly climbed into the Chan van to get warm.
