"I AM LORD GARMADON, MASTER OF DESTRUCTION!" He roared into the air igniting his fists, purple oil-like flame slithered off and hit the ground burning it with a hiss. "YOU SHALL LET ME PASS THIS INSTANCE!"
The snake's giant body lifted off the ground, pebbles and rocks falling to the ground, its tongue slithering out at the rude awakening. Uncoiling its body it struck the Oni, venom stepped heavily along its breath.
Garmadon dodged before slamming his fist into the back of the snake; a puff of purple flames shot echoed around them. The snake slithered away quickly burrowing into one of its holes.
"Foul beast, come back and fight!" he roared into one of the holes.
He waited for the snake to come back, he desperately needed a fight, his frustration was boiling over at this point. Once it was clear the snake would not return he left, continuing to scan the horizon.
"I do not understand, the Monastery should be here." he pulled out his map, sure it was ancient but even so it should still work.
He had climbed up every pillar of rock, and every mountain, and looked towards the sky for hours, yet it still evaded him. Almost as if it had disappeared into thin air.
"Lloyd, where are you," he whispered.
He ripped up the map letting the torn up bits float in the breeze.
"Garmadon." A voice flew through the air like a serene melody.
"Who said that," he ignited his fists once more scanning the surrounding area.
Two orbs surrounded him, swirling around him in a tantalizing pattern. A large orb swirling gold and black floated around him swirling sadly, almost as if it was analyzing him. Meanwhile, a smaller Golden orb floated almost directly in front of his face, remaining within sight at all times.
"You must find Lloyd," whispered the golden orb.
"What do you think I am doing Orb, playing in the sand?" he growled before catching himself. "Wait, there's something familiar about you."
He touched the orb and a flash of flowing beards echoed through his mind.
"You must find them, Garmadon," it whispered before flying in the opposite direction of where he was heading.
"And what of you-" He began looking for the second orb, but it had already disappeared. "This better not be the norm, Wu!"
He took off his helmet fiddling with the two horns, a deep sadness overcoming him for some reason. Perhaps he had always expected himself to go first. A tear ran off his face, he was surprised cupping the liquid in his hand, it was a delicate reminder of everything Lloyd and Wu thought he could be.
He ignited his hand evaporating the liquid, he would push these feelings down for now there was much work he needed to do, Lloyd needed him and he would march back to the underworld if he failed him again.
Continuing forward he followed the path of the orb, still looking all around in the hope of finding the Monastery. When he finally caught up with the orb the sun had set and the scenery had turned into a hellish swampland. Green gasses floated upwards and roots shriveled and decayed almost a sickly green.
"Why are we here brother?" he grumbled, igniting his hand to see better, the area bathed in a purple light. "This is the tomb of Venomari?"
The orb disappeared leaving him alone.
"Curse you and your enigmatic ways," he scowled hissing. "Look at me, I'm Wu I can't just give a straightforward answer, you must earn it." he mocked walking down the rocky corridor.
His oil-like flame illuminated the way until he reached the furthest point of the burrow, it was well-lit, letting his flame dwindle he analyzed the current area. He looked at the walls, and various maps, however, one big one sat in plain view. A red marker marked an area he was all too familiar with, along with several other markings that he couldn't tell what we're saying.
"Hn," he scratched his chin. "The Forbidden Five."
He blocked the incoming hammer with his hand, the slight ache of pain ringing up his arm, he could feel his blood finally running again, finally a battle. Turning his head he came face to face with a black tiger humanoid, the being let out a fierce growl forcing his hammer out of Garmadon's grip. Garmadon watched the assailant; his body was covered by a tunic, on his actual skin were pink markings. Garmadon scrunched his face, this being smelt strange his oni instincts were trying to tell him something.
"Tell me what you want with the Forbidden Five and I may- no that isn't right, I will let you live." He smiled triumphantly dodging every attack skillfully.
"Like I would tell the son of our enemy!" he growled, swinging his hammer sending shockwaves with each hit.
"I am warning you, I am not as kind as my son," he grabbed the handles of the hammer using his spinjitzu and slammed the tiger into the wall. "I will not ask again what you want with the Forbidden Five!"
"I'll never tell you!"
A flash of orange light filled the room and the beast was gone.
"Hrmph! Why does no one want to fight anymore!" He growled.
Returning his focus to the maps, he rubbed his hand along the markings, since the assailant did not help, perhaps he could find someone who did.
