27. Hierarchy Force Disposition Day 3

All the forces used in the early stages of the First Contact War came from the Cyclops Delta, a heavily turian settled cluster deep within the Council Frontier, later known as Systems Alliance Space. While many of these forces were from the Hierarchy Navy, almost half of the ships deployed came from the Cyclops Delta Guars, with a cruiser, 8 destroyers, and 12 frigates being placed under the command of Vice Admiral Elgos by the First Contact War's third day. The forces deployed by the Hierarchy Navy were no less significant, with 6 cruisers and a dozen frigates deployed from in the Xingyun Cluster, constituting the majority of the 52nd Patrol Groups remaining cruisers and two thirds of the three Flotilla strong detachment from the 11th Scout Group operating in the Cluster.

The Hierarchy's forces were divided between two task forces. Task Force Vigilant was formed from the 822nd and 821st Frigate Flotillas alongside the 2nd Cyclops Delta Guard Destroyer Flotilla and the Guard light cruiser Vigilant. The Task Force was commanded by Rear Admiral Grasius of the Cyclops Delta Guard and is charged with scouting for human forces in nearby systems. All but a few frigates are deployed to several nearby systems, with the 4th Cyclops Delta Guard Destroyer Division being in transit to the Ibn Battuta 2157-3 System.

Task Force Vadimos consists of cruisers from the 52nd Patrol Group alongside the 3rd and 4th Cyclops Delta Guard Frigate Flotillas and the 1st Cyclops Delta Guard Destroyer Flotilla, totaling 24 ships. Led by Admiral Elgos, the Task Force focused on striking Admiral Hawkings 6th Squadron, eliminating the only known significant human force in the cluster. Task Force Vadimos arrived in the Da Ling Liu System at midday on April 6th, starting the Battle of Baikonur.
