Chapter 3: The odd boy of the woods
Loona with expert erase walks to the forest to begin her job to set traps and hunt for the wild demons until they move out of the woods. That way with the demons got the trees can get cut down and make room for the farmers. As she kept walking Stolas and Elphabah followed her making sure they stay hidden without getting caught as Stolas followed her into the forest which to the school boy was beautiful and was in awe but kept his focus as he looked up and saw Elphabah still flying around to keep an eye on Loona as Stolas followed the raven and hid behind each tree as he stood near the log as he watched Loona begin her work.
Loona placed her hand on the ground as she set a demon trap jaw on the ground, it wasnt sharp and wont kill the demon as she covered it with grass so the wild demons wont get suspicious and hopefully they will be scared off as Stolas watched her walk away to the next spot and carefully moves as he nearly got close to the trap as Elphabah stopped him "Yeah I see it dont worry girl" said Stolas as he used a arrow to pick up the grass checking it "I wont step into it" he said as he continued on his mission as he saw Loona near the river as he saw her leaving as he walked to where Loona was and saw a couple of demon tracks "they were hear Elphi" he whispered
"Help! I need help! Demon attack!" Yelled a female voice as Stolas gasped as he turned hearing the bell ringing as Elphabah flew to him. This was his chance to prove he wasnt a city boy or a wimp and hunt a demon "Demon a demon, Elphabah quick fly find the demon" said Stolas as Elphabah flew off as Stolas followed her as he ran as fast as he could as he got out of the forest as he gasped seeing Millie with a shovel as she and the other farmers cried for help as Moxxie took cover as the flock of sheep ran in a panic. That could mean the child demons are here hunting the sheep as a snake-imp hybrid oversaw the demons along with a loan shark demon, however unlike the wild demons who wore scraps of cloths these two seem to wore more professional like cloths as they were eating for a chance to get the sheep.
Stolas looked around and saw a demon, a hybrid Imp-Sucubus dressed ruggedly named Jessie as Elphabah flew around as a farmer named Bulkhead (TFA) was holding a pitchfork at Jessie who was smirking as if he founded it amusing "Get back! Get away!" He yelled as Jessie clawed at them. "Help!" Yelled Bulkhead as with determination Stolas ran to save him from that hybrid now it his chance to prove himself!. He ran but as he did he was pushed around by the panicking sheep as he aimed his crossbow at Jessie and was about to fire but without warning the sheep shoved him forcing him to accidently shoot the poor boy gasped as he saw the arrow shot none other then Elphabah! The poor crow screeched in pain as the arrow shot through her wing as she fell "Elphabah!" Yelled Stolias in a panic as he ran shoving the panicked sheep out of the way as he did he heard a strong demonic howl as Jessie, Striker, Chazz and the other demons stopped what they were doing a they looked over to the forest as Chaz gave a grunted watery growl as he looked at Moxxie and Millie and winked at them as they blushed as Striker cuffed him as they ran past Stolas and into the forest as Stolas felt his heart beat as he tried to approach Elphabah who fell near the woods but stoped seeing a pair of yellow eyes
And coming from the shadows was Blitzo as he hissed and snarled at Stolas as he sniffed the down and injured crow "No please! That's my bird dont hurt her! Leave her be!" Begged Stolas as Blitzo snarled and grabbed Elphabah and ran back into the forest "Stop!" Yelled Stolas as he tried to chase after the feral boy but a male Hellhound named Vortex, Jessie and a Sucubus named Verkrosia prevented him from coming closer as Stolas backs away in fear as they growled and snarled at him warning him to not go much further as Stolas was scared he was done for, a arrow flew out of nowhere and shot Vortex as he roared in pain at the arrow in his arm "Stolas! Yelled Loona as she ran towards her and the demons as the roar was heard again as Jessie helped Tex up as they and Verkrosia ran back into the forest as Stolas ran to get Elphabah but Loona grabbed his shoulders to stop him. "Stolas!" She shouted as Stolas teared up "Elphabah she's…she's gone! We have get her back!" Stolas cried "You could have been eaten alive or worst! What were you thinking? What are you doing out here?" Demanded Loona "I was trying to help you" Stolas said tearing up "Help me? I told you you shouldn't be out here! This is why!" Said Loona as Stolas wipped away his tears "Mama they took Elphaba" he said as he struggled to get out of her grip "Stolas no, no your not going after her, not in there" she said as it was truely risky to go back into the woods "But we cant leave her" said Stolas
"Stolas…me and your mother vowed to keep you safe" said Loona as Stolas sniffed and sighed as Loona gently hugged her "Its going to be ok, you'll be safe with your mother back in the town, come on its for your own good" said Loona as she and Stolas walks away but Stolas looks back at the forest where Blitzo had taken Elphabah.
As they walked back to town they saw Moxxie, Millie and Bulkhead already placing there sheep as they placed them into the back wagon "by god you were a lucky little one did you not see it was a Demon walker" said Millie "Now calmdown will you" said Loona "Everyone knows you cant be cutting down their woods you do they'll get you sure that is the deal if the woods are not treated properly without re-planting" said Moxxie "There is no deal with anyone" said Loona not wanting to believe the couple "The Grand demon Satan made it with the old rules according to my great grandpa and you are breaking it you lot" said Millie "We need to clear the woods for everyone" said Loona "Did you not see?" Said Moxxie having learn from his wife's family about the demon walkers after the attack where the Demon walker leaders healed his wife he really became a believer "All I saw was a demon attack" said Loona "The way those demons answers his call, the two imp hybrids and that loan shark demon and that hell hound and Sucubus, there posture and expressions are to human to be a demon they are demon walkers as well these woods they are filled with them and filled with demons I tell you" said Millie "Well it wont be long before the demons are gone" said Loona.
"It wont be long before they are all inside the walls with the hunger" said Moxxie snapping at Loona but both he and his wife failed to notice the guards are marching to them which means there will be trouble "No, no we will tame the lands, the Mayor has ordered it" assuring Loona as Stolas cringed as he saw a figure walking up to them as both Moxxie and Millie are in trouble "Ah the great Mayor Vox renowned for being true to his word, hilarious at least the old Mayor kept us safe, he is just an upstart, mayor this mayor that a protector of what?!" Yelled Millie when suddenly she and a yelling Moxxie were grabbed by the guards as they turned and saw a tall thin man that had tanned skin and messy black hair with blue streams and a top hat and herocroma one blue eye and one red eye with a almost statically like pupil as he looked down at the two, this was Vox "If you have grievances you should speak to me directly" he said as he gestured for the guards to take the two.
"What are you doing?/Dont you dare lay a hand on my wife!/Let us go!" The two demanded as a metal collar were snapped on there neck and as they were dragged to the cage with the sheep "This is a discrimination of rights!" Said Moxxie "Let us both out we did nothing wrong! May satan take your head!" Demanded Millie as Bulkhead watched worried that his two friends are gonna suffer the consequences for mocking vox as the tall man studied Loona and Stolas "Another demon attack?" He asked cooly "Yes Mayor" said Loona "A few more like them and we will have a rebellion on our hands, if we do not clear the trees the farmers cant work the land and the wood cutters cannot clear the trees with the demons, this is not acceptable" said Vox with a glare "Yes Mayor" said Loona nodding "We must show them the demons are no threat, they're just savage beasts finish them" said Vox with a order "Yes Mayor" she said cooly as Vox notice Stolas who flinched and hid behind his mom "And this is your child right?" He asked.
"Yes mayor, this is Stolas *gently places a hand on Stolas shoulder* go on now" she said as Stolas walked up and bowed "THere should be no child under 18 beyond these walks and he looks to be 12 correct?" He asked "Correct mayor, but he can work with his mother he is smart and a fast learner" started Loona as Vox held a hand up and looked to his guards Shatter and Dropkick (Transformers as a human) "Take the boy to the scullery, he may wait to be 13 to take a apprentace ship but its best for him to work to keep his eyes and hand from wondering" said Vox as the two guards approached "Mama" said Stolas worried as Loona exhaled.
"Do as the mayor said Stolas" said Loona as Dropkick gently placed his hand on his shoulder and escorted him away "I'll ride out to deal with a problems revolt in the south, when I return I want all the demons gone from the forest" said Vox "Yes Mayor Vox" said Loona nodding "Lindbeck you have two days dont waste them" said Vox as he moved his horse to leave for the south as his guards followed him to join in the mission as Shatter pounds the cage to tell the donkey to move as Stolas had no choice followed the guars back to the city as Loona walks back to the forest to continue her job.
Stolas kept walking feeling upset that he will never be a hunter "Hay psst kiddo" Stolas looked up and saw Millie and Moxxie as they looked at him "The one who took your bird, we've seen him before a while back with his mother, cross our heart he's one of those Demon walkers" said Moxxie "Demon walkers?" Asked Stolas curious "Yes, Demon walkers, the ones that can talk to demons you know they can also heal as well, his mother healed me with some wild magic maybe he'll fix your bird up as well…that or eat her I dont know" said Millie as that made Stolas worried "Oh..I need to get her back" said Stolas worried for the crow "I'd say once we're behind the walls none of us is going anywhere" said Moxxie as Stolas looked at the guards and smirked getting an idea "can you two keep a secret?" He asked confusing the two "What?" Asked Millie as Stolas removed the lock as the cage door opens letting both of them and the sheep out "No my sheep!" Yelled Bulkhead as the sheep ran as Stolas laughed while running off making his way into the woods.
"Guess you lot didnt lock it right" said Millie smirking as Bill green (Big city greens) and Applejack (MLP) watched in enjoyment snickering "You let the sheep out didnt you?" Demand Shatter "Oh yeah blame us for that too everything is our fault" joked Moxxie snickering "Get back in the cart both of you" said Shatter as she and Dropkick grabbed them "Hay we feel like stretching our legs" said Millie kicking them in the face as Stolas laughed at that as he ran pass the running sheep as he smirks seeing the guards being distracted by catching Moxxie and Millie as he huriried into the forest to save Elphabah.
Soon Shatter and dropkick grabbed Moxxie and Millie and threw them back into the cage "Hay where is the boy?" Asked Drop-kick wen he noticed that Stolas is gone "I dont see him, maybe into the woods, you two *To Bill and Applejack* look out for the boy he ran into the forest get him and bring him back to the castle, the mayors orders" she said "Yes mame" Bill and Applejack walked to look for Stolas as Applejack glared "Darn soldiers who do they think they are bossing us around?" She said "What was that?" Said Dropkick "Ahh nothing nothing" said Applejack "Then get a move on" said Dropkick "Yes sir" the farmers said quickly doing what the soldier ordered so that they wont share the same fate as Moxxie and Millie.
Authors note: well that is fun a demon ambush but there seems to be a few demons that seem to have human like emotion
Next chapter Stolas goes into the woods to save Elphabah but meets Blitzo as a imp and gets bitten!
