Chapter 6: Work around the town
It was quiet in the town as the guards kept snoring in their sleep as it was quiet and there was no trouble that happened at night that it was almost peaceful. At the house Stolas was tossing and turning whimpering in his sleep as he slept the mark on his arm glowed bright curling like vines on a tree as he panted as something in his soul shifted as his dreams were filled of the yellow aura that was guiding him on a path to somewhere or someone as it guided him to a owl like beast with four eyes dressed more like royalty as Stolas stared at him eye to eye…until he woke up with a scream gasp in shock as if it was a bad dream as Elphabah cawed in worry as Stolas stared at the glow on his arm as it vanished "Stolas?" Loona called "Stolas dear are you ok?" Asked Octavia "Moms?" He asked as his moms peeked in his room "Are you alright?" Asked Octavia as Stolas shook off what he saw "Its nothing just a bad dream" he said hoping it was.
Loona nods at that "We should make an early start of it, all three of us lets go" said Loona "Good idea come I'll get breakfast ready" said octavia as the rooster crows as they made their way to the large building where Stolas has to work and to stay safe. Loona after saying her good byes went to do her rounds as Octavia took Stolas to the a entrance to the large buildings kitchen area where the head chef Sanji (One piece) was "Keep an eye on him, he is to work the full day sir" said Octavia as Sanji nods "I understand *Gently takes Stolas hand* come on now my adopted daughter Bee was only half your age when I started here and she founded her love to work in baking and serving, just do what you're told now and you'll be grand" said Sanji as Stolas turns and looks at her "its for your own good Stolas" said Octavia as she left to go to the clinic as she felt guilty that she and Loona lashed at him yesterday…but its for the best that Stolas stays and work at the castle where its safe from any danger.
Stolas looked down in sadness as Sanji hands him the mop that he cant go and help Blitzo and meet him but he Is stuck here as he and several others began to mop the floor as the guards marched pass them leaving dirty footprints as he sighed and wipped the sweat off as he continued as he kept working by washing the dishes and doing laundry and cooking food as there he meets a tall for a 19 year old with dark skin but honey blond hair and beautiful red eyes dressed as a party girl yet it didnt hinder her cooking skills "it will take some practice kiddo but you seem to be the adaptable type there are plenty of things to do around town if you can ignore the the brats who claims they have good hunters for parents but they are just second best *Takes some baked goods out of the oven as Stolas listened feeling uplifted* but there are good eggs around the town you just need to look for them" she said as Stolas was happy to have someone to talk to and treated nicely as a Short male named Fix it (Transformers RID) "Stolas we need help to mop the upper areas" said Fix it as Stolas got sad but looked at Bee "Sorry I hope we can talk later" the little boy said as he walked to follow Fix it as she smiled "So that is the little boy Text told me they tease, he is right he is cute to tease" she said
Meanwhile out on a rainy day Loona is back at the forest to see that the trap was already been set off which confused her as she walked away as Blitzo watched from the branch waiting for stolas to come back to think of a plan to find his mother. Meanwhile in the clinic Octavia was checking over some patients as she heard tales of how the demons seem erratic and are lead by a few odd ones who wore full cloths and seem to be almost human which made her curious 'demons are not like that…are they?' She thought as she knows Demons are not that smart to were full cloths.
Back in the manor Stolas mops near the a pair of red doors as he accidently knocked the bucket of water over spilling it as he groans as he slowly opened the door to clean up the spill as he walks inside to clean it up the floor as he stared at everything in the room as he continued to scrub the aura on his arm began to glow as that got his attention "Huh?" He wondered studying it a bit "Boy…" Stolas gasped hearing a female voice as he looked around as he saw a strange cage with a cloth covering it as he slowly began to walk to it as he heard the same female voice calling to him as he got close to the cage to touch it but was stopped by Sanji "Dear Oda! Get yourself out of this room child" said Sanji dragging him out of the room and closed the doors "the Mayor has forbidden anyone from entering, you're lucky that it was me and not the mayor young one, he will put you in the stocks not caring you are just a child, he expects his rules to be followed with no exception, now off to you go home now" he said as Stolas nods and walks off but said his good byes to Bee curious on what was in the cage as he didnt know he was being watched by Ozzie who was curious as he saw what Stolas saw.
Stolas left the castle to call it a day as it was still raining but before he went home he came and saw Moxxie and Millie both still in the stockades as punishment as Damian and his freinds hung around as they all notice him coming to make sure the two loveres were ok "Oh there you are hun" said Millie as Stolas shared a piece of bread and some juice for them "Did you see your new freind again?" Asked Moxxie "Stolas! Come on now you will catch your death of cold" said Octavia having finished her rounds as she and Loona met as Stolas frowned and walked towards his home as Daminan cruely chuckles "Are you a hunter or a servant boy? Good it fits a worthless boy like you" said Damian as he and his freinds laughed cruely at the poor boy as he ignored them as he made his way to his moms, he never been so humiliated as he made it inside as he sat on the chair hugging his legs unhappy as Octavia got dinner prepared "I know its not easy Stolas but its to keep you safe" said Loona as Stolas looked up "I know mama but I feel smothered at times" he said as Octavia saddled out the soup "I know but this is new for you as its new for me and your mom but its a strong life for a young boy like you and safe as well.
"Well its no life for me *unfolds* I can get the Demon walkers to leave you just need to listen to me…" said Stolas as Loona gave a look "Stolas enough of your stories!" Said Loona firmly "I can go look for him…" started Stolas "You must do what your mother told you its not safe in the woods no more fairy tails" said Octavia "But the…" started Stolas "No buts…" said Loona firmly "But the Demon walkers…" started Stolas "The Demon walkers are not real!" Said Loona firmly as Stolas huffed and made his way to the ladder up to his room as Loona frowned "Do you think I was to harsh Tia?" She asked "No, I want to make sure Stolas is safe as well I have seen what these demons have done and I worry not just you but also Stolas as well" said Octavia taking her wife's hand into hers as they understood.
Back with Stolas he got dressed in his PJs and got prepped as he made his way to bed with Emphabah still in her cage "You still believe me Elphi?" He asked as she chirped in agreement as he looked outside and went to bed.
Little did he know that once asleep his life will change forever…
Authors note: and that's Stolas day working which is miserable but there is something suspicious going on…
Next chapter Stolas awakens as a Demon walker and meets with Blitzo again who teaches him the way of the demon walkers.
