Scenario: The Columbine High School Massacre

Action: Crying, thirteen year old Peyton Sawyer jumps into the car and embraces her dad after school

Peyton (crying): Daddy..

Larry: I bet your teacher told you about what happened at Columbine

Peyton (sniffling): We watched the news as a matter of fact

Larry: How did watching the news make you feel?

Peyton: I was sad and frightened

Larry: I felt the same way as you

Peyton (looking at her school): I pray I am not involved in a school shooting

Time Period: Another Flashback

Year: 2005

Scenario: One Tree High School shooting

Scene: The Library

Peyton (startled by Lucas): AHA..AHA..AHA..

Lucas Scott: Hey..Hey..Hey..

Peyton: Help me! I got cut by some glass. Lucas, I lost Brooke. I'm so sorry.

Lucas: She's fine. She's fine. um ok um I have to get you somewhere safe. Come on.

Peyton: I can't...I can't walk...I tried

Lucas: Ok ok

Peyton: No, don't leave me please please

Lucas: I'm going to block the entrance. We'll just hide. Alright? Does that sound okay? Hey listen to me. I'm not leaving you, Peyton. I won't. I won't.

Peyton: I'm tired, Luke. Aren't you tired?

Lucas: Hey but you have to stay awake. Alright? talk to me um tell me about a good day.

Peyton: We had a snow day..sixth grade..do you remember? It was like this whole other world just came in over night took cars away. Me and Brooke, she came over. We made a snow fort with a tunnel.

Lucas: Jeeze

Peyton: We stayed inside there all day and it seemed so safe like everything was ok like everything in our world was about to become mainly just to stop it. Let's stay little kids for one more day and then it got cold kinda like now. They are gonna come now.

Lucas: Who?

Peyton: All of them. Reporters, psychologists, the analysts and then the so called experts to make sense of this but they will not be able to even if we do make it out of here. We are always going to carry it with us. It's never going to be the same. It's not glass, is it in my leg?

Lucas: No, it's a bullet. Now I may have to get you out of here ok? but nothing will happen to you. I promise.

Peyton: You're always saving me

Lucas: Somebody's got to

Peyton: If I say I love you right now, will you hold it against me? because I've lost a lot of blood. I'm here.

Action: Peyton kisses Lucas

Peyton: Just in case, you can't keep your promise

Time Period: The Present Reality

Date: 8-11-2027

Scenario: Peyton is watching the news that is covering a shooting at Tree Hill High School. Fearing Lucky may be hurt, she and Lucas rush to the crime scene. The authorities will not allow them to see her. Skylar Nichols serve as an informant for them.
