"Alright everyone, find everything you can to barricade every door in the school," said Gerald. "We can't let the monsters get inside until Zeon is done with the supreme mites."

The faculty and students started blocking the doors with chairs and desks.

"It won't hold them off for long, so let's hope Zeon, Cadence, and Erin will have completed the machine by then," said Nathan.

Out on the football field, the portal closed to reveal dozens of monsters; the rest of the monsters destroying Lakewood, along with the vapor monster-possessed dinosaur skeletons, arrived on the scene.

"This is it, my friends," the leading zoastra said to the monster army. "Our moment of triumph to rid all of humankind once and for all,"

"And we'll start by getting rid of Zeon and the Lakewood Troop."

"Now, Advance!"

All the monsters charged towards the school, busting through the fences and the windows as well.

Two borlaks sprayed acid on the doors causing them to dissolve; the students and faculty standing there quickly escaped.

A repticore then smashed the chairs and desks out of the way with its tentacles allowing the rest of the monsters to enter.

Zeon, Cadence, and Erin heard the crashing out in the halls.

"I can take it from here," Zeon said. "You two go help them."

Cadence and Erin left the music room to assist the people in the school while Zeon began typing codes into the machine.

Everyone in the high school was trying to defend themselves against pincered tentacles coming out of the fire exit doors with sports equipment while Amy was using her mini blaster, but it suddenly stopped blasting.

"I'm out," she said.

A tentacle suddenly grabbed her by the ankle and held her up.

All of a sudden, Erin snatched Amy out of the pincer and started fighting against the tentacles.

Cadence arrived and changed into her blood thrasher form to assist Erin; they managed to ward off the tentacles outdoors.

Their appearance left everyone in shock.

"It's okay, they're on our side," said Nathan. "They want to help us save the world."

"Are you okay?" Gerald asked Amy.

Amy looked at a big red mark on her ankle. "It's okay, nothing serious; I'll walk it off."

"There's too many of them; we have to get to Zeon." Said Cadence.

Meanwhile, Zeon pulled out a small flash drive and inserted it into the machine.

"How goes the work?" a voice said in the music room.

"That voice," Zeon said to himself. He looked over to see the leading zoastra.

"How did you find me?" Zeon asked him.

"Come on, Zeon," he said. "You created me and my kind to be the most powerful monsters to ever exist; I practically know where to find you."

The room suddenly went dark for a few seconds before the lights came on, and the zoastra was gone.

Zeon started to cautiously look around the room for the zoastra when something suddenly grabbed his right wrist.

"And I know your weak points," said the leading zoastra. He suddenly squeezed Zeon's wrist making a loud crack and causing Zeon to scream in agony.

The zoastra was about to destroy the machine when the Troop suddenly showed up, so he had to flee in a cloud of smoke.

"Are you okay?" Cadence asked Zeon.

"That horrible monster broke my wrist," he said in pain. "I was almost done; I inserted the data for the supreme mites, but it's right now at seven percent complete."

"Out of a hundred," said Nathan.

The principal suddenly spoke through the intercom. "Monsters are overrunning the school; everyone retreat towards the auditorium."

"That's what we should do too," said Nathan.

"Erin, Grab the machine," Cadence said as she wrapped her jacket around Zeon's wrist.

Erin picked up the machine and held it on his back.

They all quickly ran through the hallways and caught up with everyone else; they could see the monster army catching up behind them.

Everyone in the school managed to run through the auditorium doors before the monsters could catch up.

Many of the students, Cadence, and Erin were holding the doors shut to keep the monsters from entering.

"What are we going to do?" said Nathan. "We don't have any weapons and they're going to bust through at any minute."

"How much longer till the supreme mites are ready?" Amy asked.

"The machine is at twenty-six percent complete," said Zeon.

"It's no good, we have only seventeen minutes until midnight," said Gerald. "By then it'll be too late."

"Not quite," said Zeon. "I said before that I have a plan in case it gets too close to midnight here in Lakewood, but first we need to get everyone out of here."

He then pulled out his device that opens up portals, and he typed in the coordinates.

"I'm going to open a portal into the middle of Lakewood, everyone run through it the second I open it!" he shouted out to everyone.

He opened the portal, and the students and faculty ran through.

Everyone made it through before the portal closed; Zeon and the Troop were still in the auditorium with Erin and Cadence still keeping the monsters out.

"What now?" Gerald asked Zeon.

"I'm now going to open a portal to the only place I know of that has hours to strike midnight," said Zeon. "It'll be the place where we open the portal."

"Erin, Cadence, the portal will stay open for one minute, so when the minute is almost up, use your super running abilities to run through with the machine."

"Got it," they both said while trying to keep the monsters out.

Zeon opened the portal then he and the Troop ran through.

Before the minute was up, Erin and Cadence used their super speed to grab the machine and then ran through the portal.

The monsters broke through the doors and made their way to the portal, but they were too late; the portal had closed on them.

The leading zoastra arrived in a cloud of smoke with a look of fire in his eyes.

"Find them; figure out where they've gone!" he demanded the monsters in anger.
