Cadence came back from the cells listing every monster in captivity to send back to the monster dimension; the Troop and Zeon walked in and out of the elevator.
"Mission accomplished," said Gerald.
"Excellent," she said. "I heard you did it with a little help from a friend of mine."
"That's right," said Zeon as he walked in.
Cadence was indeed happy to see Zeon again and they hugged it out.
"So, things are going to get pretty busy tonight for all the Troops around the world," said Zeon.
"Indeed, we just need to list out a few more monsters in the cells before they can be sent to the rural site to be sent back," she said.
They all walked through the cells where the monsters were behind their force field walls trying to get out.
"Hey, Cadence?" Nathan asked. "What will you be doing and what will we be doing when this is all over after midnight?"
"To start, there might still be some monsters that weren't sent back, so those needed to be dealt with first," she explained. "And after that, you all will pretty much go back to your normal human lives, and I'll be attempting to live the rest of my life as a human."
"Now let's make sure we load up the monsters in this exact order,"
"We'll load them biggest to smallest for easy load on and off of the trucks and make sure you keep the Abomoplant away from the Spiderpus…"
A notification came to Zeon's communication device. "It's a message from Slara."
"Oh no," he said in concern. "Not now."
"What is it?" asked Amy.
"Hello, Zeon," a deep voice said; it was the leading zoastra standing right in front of them. "Long time no seeing; has it been sixty years or so, I've lost track of all time,"
"The leading zoastra," said Cadence. "But how, I thought we defeated you 86 years ago."
"It's been that long, really," he said sarcastically. "Anyway, thanks to the efforts of an incompetent warlock, my species and I are free to destroy the whole human race before the last day of this year is up."
"And I hold here in my claws the warlock's scepter to help us do it."
"But only a warlock can handle that kind of magic," said Nathan.
"Us zoastras maintain the powers of one hundred different monsters which includes monsters that use magic," the leading zoastra said.
The zoastra then chanted a spell with the scepter, and Zeon's device containing the supreme mites floated toward him.
"Looks like you won't be needing this anymore," the zoastra said moving his claw toward it.
"No wait!" shouted Zeon.
The leading zoastra tapped the device, it melted, and the mites disintegrated.
"Now then, Zeon, for this special day; I'd say this calls for a little family reunion," said the zoastra. "My zoastra clan and I are inviting all of your children over for a playdate."
After chanting another spell, there was a flash of light followed by darkness; the lights in the cells came back on, and the zoastra was gone.
"He's gone," said Nathan. "But what did he mean by 'your children invited to a playdate', Zeon?"
"I know what he meant," he said seeing all of the empty cells. "He's taken all of the monsters."
The leading zoastra loaded all of the monsters into the loading truck except for one, a Vapor Monster.
The Zoastra pulled out a communication device to contact the other zoastras. "Is everyone ready?"
"We are all prepared for a glorious rampage," one of the zoastras said.
"Excellent, begin to spread the Troop captured monsters upon the towns and open as many portals as you can," said the leading Zoastra before putting the device away.
"Now my green vapor friend, since I couldn't drive a human vehicle do the honors to drive about."
The vapor monster seeped through the exhaust pipe, and the truck came to life.
Its headlights came on, its engine roared, and the driver door opened for the zoastra.
"Onward!" shouted the zoastra in the driver's seat.
The truck drove away from the high school.
