It's a new day for Gensokyo; the sun is rising, the clouds are starting to be more visible, and the skies are getting less dark. The Hakurei shrine maiden is currently taking sips of her tea while sitting on the mat.

Boring as always… I wonder if Marisa or that Oni I know is gonna visit me now or not.

She thinks to herself, overall bored of everyday things like this. She takes sips between each minute, enjoying the peace. But not for long.

"Oh dear Reimu, do you miss me~" A sudden female voice interrupted her peace, sounding playful.

She frowns, immediately recognizes the voice. "Yukari. What do you want?" She said, slightly annoyed in her tone.

The figure named 'Yukari' appeared out of the gap she made, only her upper body showed up, hovering at the same height as Reimu's face. Her left hand reached out, laying rest on her gap, and her right holding a fan, covering her mouth.

Reimu's left eyebrow twitches. She knows that annoying purple hag is gonna be told to do business for her; it could be a quick errand or the most tiresome crap she's gonna deal with. So, like a 'reasonable' shrine maiden she is, cutting the unnecessary talks and straight to the point.

"What is your business now? And no, I'm not gonna listen to your unnecessary stuff-"

"Reimu." Yukari interrupted. Her playful tone suddenly dropped, now sounding serious.

The red-white shrine maiden took this aback a little, surprised that Yukari acted like this.

The Sage continued. Still into her seriousness. "An outsider happened to have ended up in Gensokyo." Oh, that's not a big deal for her- "But don't let that fool you." Nevermind. "It's a male, mind you, he's… rather interesting to say the least." What? Did she hear that wrong?

"How so?" Reimu said back, intrigued.

Yukari closed her eyes, took a deep breath, then opened her eyes and exhaled out all the air she stored. "The small part of the Hakurei Barrier have been forcefully open up-"

"THE HAKUREI BARRIER HAVE BEEN WHAT?!" The red-white immediately stood up, screamed out of her lungs. Interrupting The Sage speech before she could finally end the sentence.

"Yesterday." Yukari ended her sentence.

Reimu's face is now in a state of shock and awe. Standing there, she thought. How could one outsider open up the barrier forcefully?

The red-white shakes her head, regaining her composure back. She must do what her job told to do. "Where. Is. He. Now." Reimu's face darkens, with little to know facial expression.

The Sage sighs, knowing this will happen. "Now, now Reimu. Don't get too hasty, I can explain-"

"YUKARI!" Reimu screams out, interrupting her again, dropping the face she made. "This is a serious matter for the entire existence of Gensokyo itself!" She points out.

Yukari closes her eyes, reflecting her own mind. After a few seconds passed, she opened her eyes, looking at Reimu's face. "Forgive me for saying this but… he's not that dangerous." Yukari admitted.

Reimu immediately eye-widened, shocked to hear that Yukari has the audacity to say those words. Right when she's about to grab her Gohei and smack some sense into Yukari's head. She suddenly realizes that, if she said it, she's the one there first.

"Yukari. Spill out everything about him. Now."

[Victor]

Good morning to me. New day, new month.

Here I am, sitting on the couch, reading by looking at the system screen at the tasks just given to me. Along with, surprisingly enough, her second house key on the table. The time is early in the morning.

You may ask why I am still inside Keine's house, unable to go out enjoying the fresh air. Simple. It's for safety. And also the villagers are gonna swarm me to ask about my exchange with Keine last night.

I mean, I don't blame her, I understand that for an outsider like me to kill a Youkai is pretty much unheard-of.

Now that I think about it, Reimu's gonna beat me senseless once she meets me for the first time.

I let out a sigh. Is expected to end up like that, do one forbidden thing and she will smack your head into sense, but this time, I killed a youkai. Multiple of them actually. So I'll have to deal with her worse than you think it would be.

But it was self-defense. I could explain to her with that-

*Knock-Knock-Knock!*

Oh. Aggressive knocks at the entrance.

I stand up from the couch, walking towards the main door. I fucking wonder who's outside of the door then?

Now at the door, I use the peephole to see who is the 'guest(s)' outside of the door.

Unsurprisingly, the two things I noticed first were a large red bow tie and a black witch hat. Yeah, Reimu and Marisa.

"Open the door! Keine said to me you are in here! And don't think about hiding away!" Reimu yelled out first, obviously angry.

"Damn Reimu, ya need to chill out, what if he runs away because of you right now, ze?" …Marisa, I'm not that dumb to run away from her.

Reimu turns head away from the door, giving Marisa a glare from her.

This obviously makes Marisa taken aback a little. Along with an uneasy smile.

Then, she turns head back to the door. "Open up or I will force my way in!" Oh shit she's threatening me now.

"Alright Alright! I'm opening, just- give me a moment. Alright?" I yelled back, sounding defeated. While one of my eyes is still at the peephole.

"Be quick! 'Cause Reimu doesn't have enough money to pay for Keine's door if she actually did it!"

"Marisa!"

I immediately ran away from the door, beginning my preparation to leave Keine's house, and having a field day with the duos.

At the couch again, I put on my helmet, grabbed the MG and threw it back into the system's inventory, then pulled out my L1A1 along with the blue rig hastily strapped to my chest. Slung the rifle over the right shoulder.

After that, I took the keys. Ran hurriedly to the door. Once I'm at the door, I insert the key into the knob, rotate it. A click can be heard after it.

Once the door is unlocked, I open it up to face them and… the first thing I noticed is both of them are currently having a "talk". Judging from my view, Marisa is not taking this seriously, even sometimes making jokes about Reimu's aggressive speech. But all things must come to a stop.

Both of them stopped their talk, turning their heads to my face. Feeling uneasy, anxious, I greeted them by raising my right palm up, waving slightly to them.

Well, that's a start- A-MY COLLAR! Oh hell. Reimu immediately reached out to me, grabbed my collar, dragged my head eye to eye with her, using her inhuman strength.

"Don't act nice, Victor. And don't try to act innocent either, Yukari said it all for me." Reimu scorn, a hint of hate showing in her face. Knew this is coming… but.

"If- if it's about I killed a small amount of Youkai on- on the first day, Yukari has said to you that- I do it in self-defense right?" I replied back, shuddered in some sentences. I'm using all my courage to reason with a dangerously pissed Red-white Shrine Maiden.

"How so?" She sneered, looking doubtful of my reason.

"W-What did Yukari say about me then? I-I'm sure that there are some lines about it." Please understand! My fucking heart is beating fast right now! I'm fucking stressed!

She frowned, made a small humming noise, glanced away from me to collect her thoughts for a bit, then turned back to say. "There's the Youkai killing, obviously. There's the possibility that you forcefully opened up the Hakurei Barrier, but that's for later." I FUCKING WHAT?! PARDON? "And there's- ah, I remembered. Self-defense." With that, Reimu released my collar, letting me free. She takes a few steps back, her eyes still on me. "Lock the door, and follow me. We're gonna have a long talk on this day." Reimu said, dropping her anger, replaced with a tired look. "Let's go Marisa."

Reimu immediately turned away from me, and started walking on her own. Man that was… more intense than I was anticipated for.

I looked at Marisa, and noticed that she glanced at me the whole time, holding her broom. Face of intrigued.

I frowned at Marisa. Midget bastard.

"Hey! Don't look at me like that, I can't help it when she's mad. One angry Reimu is a scary one, ze." She exclaimed, crossed her arms with a bright smile. Oh you always bright sunshine son of a bitch-

"ARE BOTH OF YOU GONNA FOLLOW ME OR WHAT?!" Reimu suddenly yelled at us, taking us by surprise.

""Coming!"" Marisa and myself quickly replied back at the same time, with Marisa quickly running up to catch up with Reimu. While I shut the door of Keine's house, locking it, then instantly ran off to catch up with her too.

Honestly, accompanied by 2 current strongest humans doesn't sound "that" bad, but hey. With the Battle Rifle slung over my shoulder, and the graffiti helmet I'm wearing, it'll never go wrong, right?

So. Currently on the way out of the village, escorted by them "willingly", got a few strange looks from the villagers on the way out, but I ignored it. Two of them speak to each other silently, sometimes even muttering. I assume they're talking about me, obviously, but I don't know what they're gonna say more about– other than me.

Keeping distance from them, not too far, but not too close either. Don't wanna make them uncomfortable.

Both of them sometimes look behind their back while walking to take a look at me, presumably to check if I run away from them or not. Reasonable, because you don't want to lose sight of a guy who was granted the ability to kill Youkais with a physical weapon that goes into hiding. I noticed that Marisa fixed her eyes onto me a bit longer than Reimu's.

However, you see, she keeps her eyes staring at my helmet, chest rig, and the Battle Rifle instead– when she's given the chance. Especially the Battle Rifle, she keeps staring at the end of the barrel for a bit then turns her head back. Just like her nature is supposed to be. Oh yeah, I hope later she doesn't "borrow" my rifle without asking first, you know, that would be… "funny".

…Unrelated, but system, did you really forcefully open the barrier a little bit to let me in?

[Unfortunately, yes, because that's the only way that I can allow you into Gensokyo. It's one of the balances you see.]

I sighed out mentally, and kept on going behind them. Balances you say? Great job system, great job. Now I have to be aware of the future troubles because of it.

[Outside of the Village]

Greeted the guards at the Village Gate a wishful morning, got questioned about my weapon again, told them exactly like yesterday. Although they were quite concerned about me because of why I am getting led by the Incident Resolvers duo, I told the guards to not worry, they just gonna teach me about the 'Do and not to do in this land'. So yeah, a half-truth again.

So myself, Reimu and Marisa continue on walking, farther and farther from the Village Gate, so far that I cannot see the Village anymore.

Gripped onto the sling of my gun, I take a moment to experience the Gensokyo nature itself. The gentle breeze passed, the sun shines softly, and the field of grass presenting itself, ordinary, yet memorable.

…You know. If I think about my current standing in Gensokyo right now. I felt that I'm not belong here. Don't get me wrong, outsiders are welcome here, as stated by the canon. If one of them managed to escape from the claws of a certain hungry youkai of course.

Still, even with system shit still keeping me alive in the long run, this is still Gensokyo. Gods, spirits, phantoms, ghosts, urban creatures, and Youkais that could vaporize me in the singular motion that they barely put effort into it. Okay maybe that last part I said was a bit exaggerated but it still stands.

All of them walk together inside this land, fighting equally under the bill of "Naming of Duels", or alternatively calling it "Spell Card rules" for the sake of simplicity. Oh right, correction, mostly equal since draft doesn't include outsiders like me. Yukari pulling a 4D chess ass move under the curtains.

Actually, hold on, I think the reason why Yukari doesn't include outsiders in the draft is because she's one of the people who's actively maintaining the barrier of this land, so that means she could literally put a filter that spirited away unwanted people from the outside world society. But of course, the barrier is far away from perfection since there's cases where innocent outsiders happen to be walking into natural cracks of the barrier itself. And I'm lost in my thoughts.

Shaking my head slightly to snap my mind back to reality, I looked up at the blue sky of this land, appreciating it again. Its vast light blue shines slightly through my glasses, the helmet blocks some of it, but it's fine.

I'm just really just insignificant like a fly in this land huh?

No, no. Don't think of judging my self-worth, that's bad for my mind. This is only the second day in this fictional world. Good stuff will not always happen the first time.

I stopped looking at the skies, letting my gaze down to meet Reimu and Marisa- Wait. Why do they stop walking and now stand idle…?

I immediately paused from taking another step, my body froze for a moment. This is not looking too great.

Should I run- No, that's stupid why do I think of that?

Perhaps I should speak to them what's wrong-

Before I could think more, Marisa suddenly turned her back on me and interrupted with a loud threatening shout. And aiming her Mini-Hakkero towards me.

"RAISE YA HANDS UP!" HUH?! "I mean it! Raise ya hands up or I'll turn you to ash ze!" O-Okay I'll gladly do it.

With that, I raised my arms wide, signaling my defeat, confused. What the fuck did I do?!

"Hand me the weapon on your back, ze." Hell no! I can't- O-Oh shit she's pointing her Mini-Hakkero towards my face now.

…I guess I have no other option then. "G-Give me a minute." I said to her, using the sling to get the Battle Rifle out of my shoulder, ready to give out. Using my left hand to reach under the weapon, I grabbed the- mag shakily, thumb at the mag release and let it out of the gun.

The mag is now in my left hand, gripping it tightly. I extended out the right hand holding the handguard of my soon-to-be-gone(?) weapon to Marisa's view. My heart is thumping quick, sweat is getting out fast.

Marisa carefully takes a few steps with her mountain vaporizer in hand still pointing towards me, her eyes blink a few times but still cautiously looking at me.

Now she's near me, smirking. "Heh, good." She takes a look at my firearm from every angle that she could right now with a very… intrigued look. "Interesting. I'm sure that I will make good use of your weapon." You cannot fucking-

She immediately snatched away my weapon, and ran away while I was in my own thoughts. "NO!" I screamed out, eyes widened in fear. "GIVE IT BACK! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE HOLDING RIGHT NOW!" I said in regret.

"Lalala! Sorry, I can't hear you ze!" Marisa said back cunningly with a wide smile. SON OF THE BITCH! "Sorry Charlie! I'm gonna borrow this indefinitely!" Borrow MY FUCKING ASS!

With her "borrowing" complete, the blonde goes to Reimu's back, covering behind her. Oh let's not forget that she closed her eyes and let her tongue out over Reimu's left shoulder directly for me to mock. "Damn this thing is quite heavy." She commented on my weapon.

This… this fucking blonde midget bastard not only have the shitty audacity to smile and mock my fucking ass after she fucking took my weapon. She said that she'll "borrow" it after threatening me with force.

I- I need to kill her. I need her body ridden with bullet holes, I need to carve into her skull by using my short blade but yet still keep alive so that she feels hopelessly suffering…

I just- I just need to pull this off by dragging out my MG to start- NO! What the FUCK was I thinking about!? Whatever the hell– I thought before I took control back is fucking delusional. Good… Lord.

I'm… under a lot of stress, and my heart is beating fast. Holy shit. Take a deep breath in, then let it all go. Repeating- the process should stabilize my body afterwards.

When did I… did I look at the ground…? I gazed my eyes upward from the ground, saw the familiar red-white dark brown, and light-yellow black but why is my- my vision… is getting distorted. I can still feel the mag holding on my left hand. Oh I'm having a headache now. I'm- gonna fall down anytime– soon.

Reimu's… Reimu is getting closer. She- she definitely planned all of this shit, but- I'm too mentally exhausted to talk back right– now…

"Now. State your actual business here, or I'll teach you a lesson!" …Yeah. I have enough.

With that, I closed my eyes and let myself fall down to the dirt path.

*THUD!*

[Reimu and Marisa]

The Shrine Maiden eyes widened in shock, immediately wastes no time to run up checking his fallen state, kneels down, flipped his body over to face her and placed two of her fingers onto his wrist for checking his pulse.

Oh thank the Hakurei. He's still alive. She relaxed and sighs, relieved that he's only gone down unconscious.

"Reimu!" Her long-time friend called her from behind, voice of concern. "Is he…?" She said, still holding on to his 'strange' weapon.

"No. He just– went down unconscious by himself." Reimu said back casually. Although there's a hint of worry in her voice. She stood up. "We need to get back to the Village-"

"NO!" Marisa interrupts, "We cannot do that! Reimu, If he wakes up and tells the whole thing that happened to Keine, we're both doomed! And not to mention that our reputation will crumble down like your home anytime soon!"

"Grh. Guess your right- Hey! What's with using my house as an example?!" Reimu yelled back at Marisa, offended by her friend's words. "Plus, I just recently reinforced it! It's not like it's gonna fall 'anytime soon' like you said!" She huffed, crossed her arm.

"Reimu, I don't know, but it still looks the same to me." Marisa nervously replied back.

Reimu irked, rubbing her eyebrows with her fingers and sighing in the end. "You know what. Forget about it. The most important thing right now is him," She pointed at Victor's unconscious body. "can't leave him alone, especially for someone, somehow who can kill Youkais with 'that' thing you are holding right now, Marisa."

Marisa did not know what to say next, so the best she could do right now is just nod in agreement.

"Now put his 'thing' you're holding right now in your hat, including that 'weird' metal thing he's holding onto." Reimu said.

"You got it ze!" Marisa energetically said back. She gets her witch hat off of her head, flipped down, revealing her built-in hammerspace storage bag inside of her hat. She shoved his gun into her own storage, and equipped her broom after that. Then she gets closer to his body, grabbing the mag he's holding.

Marisa closed her eyes, made a quick prayer gesture to him, and smiled uneasily. "Sorry for all of this." She muttered.

With that said, she crouched down to get the mag, finally dropped his final piece of his into her hat. She wears it again.

"So, any places to go other than the Village itself?" Reimu questioned.

"Kourin's shop. I'm sure he'll hear me out ze. Plus, we're close to it." Marisa replied back, a smile on her face.

Wait… but who's gonna carry his body… then?

Both of them think the exact same, their eye twitches. A long, long day is coming to both.

[Author Note]

Hey uh, it has been months isn't it?

Life and lack of motivation got in the way, so yeah. Also I play Limbus Company now, not sure if that is important to announce.

Uh, I guess I'm gonna be gone for a few months after this chapter then. Don't worry I still replied to reviews.

So, Farewell my readers, until next chapter.
