"Heads or tails, Kurono?" Chisaki burst into Kurono's office, flipping a coin.

"Uhh, heads?"

Chisaki revealed the coin. "Aha, it's heads. That means you win. And it also means you have the honor of masquerading with me as we blend in with the participants for the talent show."

"My apologies, young boss, but I fail to comprehend why we need to conceal our identities to join a show that we are, in fact, hosting."

As the diligent second-in-command, Kurono handled all the hard work of turning Chisaki's talent show idea into a reality. He worked with Mimic to get the necessary funding. Which they have plenty of after shutting down quirk drug testing and research.

"You wouldn't understand, Kurono," Chisaki said, stroking his chin. "But you will thank me later." To be honest, Chisaki just wanted to experience what it's like being on a reality TV show; there's no deeper motive.

"Alright…boss, since you clearly have too much time on your hands. Why don't you look over the applicants that passed the first screening?" That wasn't a question as Kurono handed Chisaki the pile of papers without waiting for his response.

Three weeks had passed since they opened applications to the public. Initially, there was little interest. Nevertheless, applications began to flood in once they collaborated with numerous entertainment talent companies and well-known broadcasting networks. Surprisingly, the Shie Hassaikai has a decent number of connections to media, although it's mostly blackmail of high ranking board members and or favors from long ago.

Chisaki sighed dramatically and took the stack of papers from Kurono, flipping through them with feigned disinterest. As he perused the talent show applications, he occasionally muttered sarcastic remarks.

"Acrobatics? Boring. Singing? Dreadful. Comedy? I've seen better. Honestly, Kurono, I can't believe we're stooping to this level of entertainment," Chisaki remarked, though his eyes betrayed a hint of amusement.

Kurono, used to his boss's theatrics, simply rolled his eyes and continued working on his computer, managing the logistics of the talent show behind the scenes.

As Chisaki sifted through the pile, one application caught his eye. He stopped flipping pages and raised an eyebrow. "Hm, what's this?" He pulled out a well-designed application with a picture of three masked performers and the stage name: A Bloody Shadow Serenade.

"Interesting alias. What's their talent?" Chisaki mused, scanning the details. "A combination of magical illusion, music, and horror. Well, well, well. Looks like we might have found our competitors. I suppose it's time for us to embrace the spotlight, Kurono. Get ready for our grand debut as the charming, enigmatic, and one of the kind: 'Time is Overrated!'"

Kurono raised an eyebrow but nodded in agreement. "Sure thing, boss. Just don't forget we have actual plans for the Shie Hassaikai outside of this talent show charade."

Chisaki waved a dismissive hand. "Details, Kurono, details. Let's focus on becoming the talk of the town first. The world needs to witness the true talent that the Shie Hassaikai possesses!"
