Anyways… moving on from that cancel-able comment...
"Let's not stop the hype train! Coming in at 4th place... The marauders
who stalk at midnight..." Chapati's voice boomed, his usual flair cranked up
a notch to match the charged atmosphere. "RAVEN TAIL!"
The Fairy Tail area erupted in loud, enraged shouts, the noise clashing with
the commentators'
announcement. "IVAN?!"
Oho, looks like we're in for some soap opera drama... Oh yeah, this is gonna
be good.
"Raven Tail?!" The Salamander asked, his jaw dropping in shock. His
teammates and even the crowd mirrored the same stunned expression.
A dark guild, huh? This oughta make things get real interesting.
"Erza…" Lyon said, stepping closer to the Fairy Tail team, his eyes now
laser-focused on the approaching Raven Tail group. He glanced at Erza, his
expression intense. "You know them?"
The redhead's face darkened, the air around her thickening with something
heavy. "Lyon, they're the guild of our guildmaster's son."
Well, well, well. Looks like daddy's boy came out to play.
The words hit the air like a bad omen, sinking heavy on everyone's shoulders.
"Why are they here?" A busty blonde from their group asked, her voice
trembling slightly.
Before she could finish, the Fairy Tail guildmaster Sir Makarov—usually the
guy who couldn't stop joking—snapped. "THEY'RE A DARK GUILD!" His
voice boomed with fury, making the whole arena shake. "AND YOU'RE
LETTING THEM PLAY IN THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES?! ARE YA
IDIOTS?!"
"Master, calm down!" Old Man Macao's voice cut through the chaos, his
usual easy-going tone faltering. Wakaba, standing beside him, shot the
guildmaster a sympathetic glance. I gotta grab a drink with those guys again
sometime... They've got a way of lightening the mood.
But hmm.. Raven Tail, huh? Yeah, I've heard of them. And him...
"Bluenote Stinger?!" The reaction was immediate. Two women from Fairy
Tail shouted in unison, their voices tinged with anger and disbelief. One was
the busty blonde, the other a bikini-clad brunette. Seriously, how many of
those are there in this guild?
"He's from Grimoire Heart... how is this allowed?" the redhead demanded,
her eyes narrowing as she glared at the commentators'
stand.
Chapati, always the professional, quickly explained. "According to the
official database of the Magic Council, Raven Tail has been around for
over seven years, but only recently got approved as a legal guild." He
continued, though it did nothing to ease the tension. The Fairy Tail team was
still on edge. "As for Bluenote Stinger... it seems he was pardoned by the
King himself after saving his daughter from a kidnapping incident."
"If they've been recognized by the Council and Kingdom, then they're
not a dark guild," Grandpa Yaj muttered, his tone darkening with
displeasure.
"Damn you, Ivan! How did you manage that?!" Sir Makarov shouted, his
voice thick with anger as his eyes locked onto the man in the stands.
The man, Ivan, stood with his arms crossed, a smug smirk playing on his lips,
clearly enjoying the reaction he was getting.
"Keep it down, dear father," Ivan replied coolly, his voice laced with
amusement, as he raised a hand in a dismissive gesture. "Don't spoil this
day for everyone," he added, his smirk widening, as if the tension in the air
only added to his enjoyment.
The response only served to infuriate Makarov further, his face reddening with
barely contained fury. The standoff between father and son was palpable, and
I couldn't help but wonder what kind of history lay behind their strained
relationship.
Raven Tail's group made their move, and the air shifted, thick with an
unspoken challenge. The crowd's once excited murmur turned into an uneasy
silence. Something's about to go down... and it's gonna be a show.
"Oh, this is it? Mere women and children?" The octopus guy of Raven Tail
sneered, his eyes sweeping the Fairy Tail team dismissively. "Weakass
guild."
The Salamander's temper flared instantly, his fists clenched as he stormed
toward them with a snarl. But he froze when the redhead gave him a sharp
bop on the head. Ouch.
"Where's Gildarts Clive, Titania?" Bluenote's voice was cold, and that tall
frame of his loomed over them like a shadow… so her name's Titania, huh?
Good to know.
"What's it to you, criminal?" the busty blonde shot back, defiant, but her
voice faltered under the icy weight of his stare. Bluenote didn't even flinch.
"Blondie…" The doll-faced guy with red braids muttered under his breath, his
words carrying a nasty edge that made the blonde squeak in frustration.
"Fairy Tail, I hope we have a good time together," the swordsman of their
group grinned, stretching his hand out. The Fairy Tail team looked at it like it
was a rat—none more so than Titania, who was looking at him with a glare
that could melt steel.
"You'd be wise not to provoke us anymore than you already have,"
Titania replied, her voice as sharp as a blade as she stood her ground.
"Oh, you knew?" The swordsman smirked, his hands twisting into multiple
small snakes, hissing ominously. "Quite impressive."
The guy with the golden mask and robotic armor—a literal walking, talking
robot—scanned the Fairy Tail team with a calculating gaze before glancing at
something outside the arena.
"Has Laxus and Gajeel really gotten so weak that all of you can take
their place?" His robotic voice echoed through the air, booming. Then, just
like that, his head snapped to the side, eyes gleaming coldly. "Seems I
misjudged too quickly. Let's move, Raven Tail."
And with that, the Raven Tail team marched past, their every step thick with
the unmistakable air of provocation. The tension was so dense it could
suffocate you.
"What does that guy even mean?" Gray, the black-haired guy, muttered, still
staring after them as the Raven Tail members slithered by, barely giving them
a second glance.
Well, it's obvious, I chuckled under my breath, keeping my tone light but
clearly amused by the spectacle on the monitor. They're trying to rattle you
guys. A dark guild pretending to play nice? Please. They're not fooling
anyone, especially the guild they're crossing. But hey, let 'em have their fun.
They won't last long, anyway.
Something about this feels different, though. Raven Tail isn't your average
dark guild. They've got a purpose, and it's clear they're not here to follow any
rules… not that it matters, though.
"All right, everyone, calm down," Chapati's voice rang out over the
loudspeakers, slicing through the chaos below. The crowd settled, but the
tension was palpable. "We're now down to the top 3 teams of the
competition!"
The arena was buzzing with anticipation, but my eyes drifted to the side as I
saw the Trimens—those flashy idiots—and Ichiya, of all people, striking some
over-the-top entrance pose that could only be described as... well, something
between a Broadway production and a circus act. They looked like they were
rehearsing for a show, not a magical competition.
A smirk tugged at the corner of my lips. How charming, I muttered under my
breath, barely able to suppress a laugh. Those guys never missed an
opportunity to make an entrance, no matter how ridiculous.
"Three?! Obviously one of them's Sabretooths, right?" A voice echoed
from the crowd, clearly expecting the team known for their top-tier skills to be
there.
"Oh, and Blue Pegasus! Seems they've gotten better this year!" Another
voice joined in, the admiration thick with applause. A chorus of cheers erupted
from the girls and even a few guys, especially from those who'd been fawning
over the team's charm. Yeah, those guys sure knew how to put on a show.
"But who's the other one?" A more curious voice rang out, clearly
wondering who the final team in the top three could be. The mystery hung in
the air, sparking a ripple of intrigue as even I was curious… who managed to
keep up with me and those tigers? The mere thought of more competition can
almost make me orgasm… yeah, I might need to watch my mouth extra hard
sometimes
"And now, taking third place in the preliminaries..." Chapati's voice
shifted, an exaggerated shock vibrating through his tone, almost theatrical.
"Now this is a huge shocker, will they be the keys to restoring their
guilds' fallen wings?" He paused for dramatic effect, which only added to
the growing suspense. The whole arena seemed to hold its breath.
Many eyes turned to the large monitor, some audience members clearly
puzzled as to who could possibly be the third team. My attention remained
fixed on the spectacle below—the other competitors were watching closely,
and some of the Fairy Tail members seemed more curious than usual.
Chapati's voice rang out again, this time with almost an air of disbelief: "It's
FAIRY TAIL TEAM B!"
A shocked silence fell over the arena before a ripple of disbelief spread
throughout the crowd. Murmurs mixed with surprised exclamations. Fairy Tail
had two teams in the top eight? Even I was impressed by that.
I could practically feel the eyes of every single person in the arena turning to
look at Team B, and I knew exactly why…
"Sis?!" The manly man from Fairy Tail Team B shouted in disbelief, his
voice thick with surprise. Looking at his hair, I figured he was talking about the
white-haired beauty queen standing confidently beside him.
She had her hands on her hips, exuding an air of authority, but it wasn't just
her jaw-dropping looks that caught my attention—though, let's be real, she
was a solid 100 on the baddie scale.
No, what really drew me in was the sheer magical power emanating from her,
despite how much she seemed to be suppressing it.
And then it hit me... She felt so familiar. Too familiar. The way she carried
herself... She reminded me of Jen, and I couldn't help but shudder at the
thought. I really hope I'm wrong.
"Gajeel?!" The Salamander shrieked which was quickly followed by Gray
beside him with his own shout of surprise "Juvia!"
The Black Steel and Ms. Gloomy Rainwoman, huh? Now since when did they
join Fairy Tail? Last I saw them seven years ago, they were still with those
Phantom Dorks… guess they joined after their guild war?
"And Laxus?! That gotta be against some rules!" The busty blonde
continued the chain of shock, her tears flowing freely as she stared at the
towering figure standing with Fairy Tail Team B.
I couldn't really blame her. Laxus Dreyar—the would-be heir to the throne of
Fairy Tail—wasn't exactly someone you'd wanna cross. The guy was a beast
of a man, well at least… the last time we fought. I'll enjoy trading blows with
him again, I can hardly wait.
And then… there was Mystogan…
"Wait, wait, wait… What's Mystogan doing there?!" The loud surprise of
Salamander mirrored my thoughts exactly as I stared at the figure cloaked
from head to toe, surrounded by a bizarre array of magical tools.
Mystogan, no—Jellal... I know for sure he already went back to his kingdom in
Edolas. So who the hell dares to impersonate my friend?! Fairy Tail… just
what the hell are you up to?
"How come Fairy Tail gets two teams?!" one of the audience members
complained, his voice rising above the noise.
"And how did those cheaters even get to the top three?" another
accused, with some spectators joining in with their own shouts of frustration.
"I see that many in our crowd are confused about the new added rules
for the games this year, wouldn't you say so, Mr. Yajima?" Chapati
pointed out, his eyes scanning the crowd.
"Yesh, this year, each guild ish allowed to enter one or two teamsh in the
tournament," Grandpa Yaj explained casually, though it was clear from his
tone that Fairy Tail wasn't exactly taking full advantage of this rule,
considering the chaos going on with their guild.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You see that, you idiots! That's how Fairy
Tail rolls!" Sir Makarov boasted loudly, his voice carrying across the arena
like a lion king proud of his cubs.
"The two teams will be pitted against each other in the finals. Will Fairy
Tail be able to fight members of their own guilds?" Chapati questioned,
sweat dripping down his face.
"I don't think we'll have to worry about them," Grandpa Yaj answered
carelessly, as I could just picture him picking his nose in the most casual of
ways.
"But isn't that unfair?" Jen asked curiously, her voice filled with genuine
concern, oh sweetie, why worry when I'm here, well guess she doesn't know
that yet. "For example, if each team sends out one member to compete,
then there's nothing stopping Fairy Tail from teaming up against the
other guilds, right?"
"I guess that really is not their problem, it's the advantage they got when
they impressively got two whole teams advanced to the finals," Chapati
agreed with a nod, confirming what was now becoming an advantageous yet
deserved situation.
"You've got quite the upper hand, Macky-boy," Grandpa Yaj added,
causing a few confused looks from the audience, but Sir Makarov just smirked
victoriously in response.
"Seems like Sir Makarov hasn't changed much." Looks like Madam Arturia
and I refer to Fairy Tail's guildmaster the same way,...
...How's that relevant? It just is, shut yer trap.
"YOU'VE GOTTA BE…" A loud shout from Salamander cut through the air,
silencing the murmurs around the crowd. The intensity of his voice made my
ears ring and made even his fellow guildmates shocked. "KIDDING ME!"
Man, that guy is too loud for someone with my hearing… I tuned out his voice
entirely, but it's obvious he's not really all for the teaming-up advantage. Same
goes for the other members of Fairy Tail Team B, which really doesn't change
anything for me or our guilds' chances of winning.
Still, I couldn't help but notice Mystogan, Titania, and Laxus having some sort
of conversation off to the side. It felt... off. I couldn't quite place it, but there
was something amiss, something I didn't like.
Just who the heck is this asshole pretending to be Mystogan? His body
language… his movement and posture, near identical to him, but he's
definitely not the person I remember clashing with…
"Oi, Mr. Bunny" I was brought out of my own musings by a tap from Ren
Akatsuki himself, the literal definition of tsundere… "Monsieur Ichiya wants
us to get ready soon, we're about to be called so don't slack off… not
that I want you there with us or anything like that"
I let out a chuckle inside as I merely readjusted my headgear and stood
before walking towards the others who were standing at the entrance hall as I
merely cheered with a higher pitch voice to not let them recognize me "Let's
get to hopping!"
"Now for the first runner-up! The one who came in second place…" I
betrayed a smirk inside my mask as I just knew what was about to happen…
"Oh holy moly, now this is a much bigger surprise… Placing second for
the first time in half-a-decade, It's the Powerful! Monstrous! The
Undefeated Champions!... Let us welcome, Sabertooth!"
The roar of the crowd hit a crescendo as the name "Sabertooth" echoed
through the arena, but the momentary shock was evident on everyone's
faces.
Sabertooth—the reigning champions, the pride of the guilds, the terrifying
force everyone expected to dominate—had only come in second? Now that's
the reaction I live for, it could almost make up for this horrible suit I'm in.
A stunned silence fell over the crowd, quickly replaced by hushed whispers
and murmurs. Even Sabertooth's own members, usually so confident and
poised, were caught off guard. Sting, one of their renowned Twin Dragons,
stood frozen for a second, his usual cocky smirk replaced by an indignant
frown—a sight I very much am delighted to witness.
His arms were crossed tightly, and his eyes narrowed in disbelief.
"Second?!" he muttered under his breath, his face a mixture of frustration
and disbelief. His hands clenched, and a vein twitched in his temple as his
mind processed the news.
The crowd's chatter reached a fever pitch as they pieced together the puzzle.
Almost like they're thinking… 'If Sabertooth came in second... then who in the
world came in first?'
Well… the answer wouldn't normally be our guild, but
since I'm here, it's the only possible reality.
"Blue Pegasus?!" someone blurted out, as if the very name itself was
unbelievable.
Sting's usual cocky expression was nowhere to be found. His arms were
crossed tightly, and his face was locked in a deep scowl. "Second place... to
Blue Pegasus," he muttered, his voice dripping with disbelief and frustration.
His eyes flicked toward the entrance hall where we were supposed to enter
when called, irritation practically radiating off him. "How in the hell did those
pretty boys pull that off?"
Watching his reaction was way too entertaining. There's just something deeply
satisfying about seeing an arrogant blowhard like him get knocked off his
pedestal—especially when it's my guild doing the knocking. The taste of his
frustration? Delicious. Absolutely delicious.
Thanks, Master Bob. Thanks, Ichiya. I could barely contain my laughter. This
is going to be so much fun for me. Time to annihilate anyone who stands in
our way. BUWAHAHAHAAHHA
Yeah... that's me in my mind... No I am not some crazy psychopath, just
eccentric
(A/N: AND THAT'S THE END... WABAWBAHAHAHHA I ABSOLUTELY
ENJOYED WRITING THIS CHAPTER, AND YEAH MOST OF THE
