In this chapter were gonna be discussing about the demons! Their origin, abilities and purpose.
It all comes with a lore!
1. How were they created?
Answer: Since the age of early japan, there came a haunting age where darkness slowly sweeped the land. A powerful demon that lived since the heian period, known as Muzan Kibutsuji.
The heian period, was a peaceful time where man has developed and grew into propserity. When the the birth of a royal family has come into precision, a newborn has been welcomed since its labor. Though this child struggled to to survive it has survived its young age before it was on the brink of being cremated. muzan, was his name. During his early adulthood, muzan had a rare disease within himself since he was born, a disease that will kill him by the time he reaches twenty.
Enraged and Impatient, he recieved medical care from a doctor who had made a concation from one plant that made his body strong. The blue spider lilly, a rare flower that grows every year and dies within 2-3 days that could hardly be used.
Day by day muzan visted the doctor on any homes that can help him live a clean life. Yet no matter how much he begged his illness only grew him into a bitter wrathful being. Clouded by recklessness and anger muzan slaughtered the doctor in cold blood.
But though this invoked his despair, muzan discovered later that the medicine he was receiving has been working. Giving him a stronger, better body. Resentfully he killed his doctor, he lost his only source of information on finding the spider lilly.
Yet no matter where he looked or where he went, he would never find what he aimed for.
Like all things though, the ultimate can rise. What the doctor provided for muzan was healing his body, feeling every fiber growing stronger by the Evening but weak by the day. But there was once issue that proved to be fatal, due to his enhanced being muzan could no longer walk in the sun.
Each shred of sunlight burned him in a matter of seconds forcing to walk the night. However like all things in the grand scheme, came at a cost. For his humanity was slowly leaving, His newfound abilties grew and his craving for human flesh. He became more than an urban legend. He became a demon.
Throughout his thousand year life muzan searched and studied high and low for the blue spider lilly but came up empty handed. Many hunters and warriors have hunted and try to slay him, they failed. No matter how armed or prepared they were, they perished. Muzan had become too powerful and became feared throughout japan. Due to his weakness against the sun, muzan created countless demons to do his will. For one purpose, to achieve true immortality. To this day, Muzan searches for ways to find it and blend into the now society that has grown.
2. Why Did Muzan Create The Twelve Kizuki?
Due to his relenting search for the blue spider lilly, Muzan needed a team that would assist him in his plans. He created demons that tormented centuries of innocent lives. The twelve kizuki are a collection of powerful demons, the strongest and most dangerous of them all.
They are put into two categories, the lower and the upper moons. The lower are the ones who have lesser power, while monstrous and feared they are not as strong due to the defeat of slayers.
Due to this, they still lack human sides to them due to lower consumption of devouring humans. Muzan uses them as pawns, and because he entrusts his upper ranks more, he killed the lower ones due to their failures.
3. What Is A Blood Demon Art?
A blood demon art is an ability that most demons possess. Blood arts are like supernatual skills in the form of blood magic pending on how they are represented.
Both Moons possess this and due to their inhuman capabilites and endless appeite. This can come off as a dangerous tool for them to easily kill their targets and theres no telling what kind of blood demon art it is. 4. Are the Upper moons important more than lesser demons that roam?
To an extent, yes. There probably one of the most dangerous beings other than muzan.
5. What Is A Demons Weaknesses?
Demons true in a way are hard to kill and much like a vampire they need human blood to sustain themselves. But they do have three weaknesses; sunlight, decapitation, and Wisteria.
Wisteria is a type of flower that wards of demons likely also an important tool to use against them as well. Because of it it can wipe them out easier hence why the swords are coated in them. Though because its SK there is still a chance they can kill the demons even without wisteria.
Sunlight, Because of muzans blood it corrupts a person all throughout until there nothing but feral. And once exposed to sunlight, they will burn and turn to ash.
6. What Do Demons do? You ever consider how stray animals or even out in the wild look for food either from spring or winter? Well its like that, Unless you have a tolerance and strong will then you would be back to normal. Regardless, A demons instincts will kick in by the smell of blood.
Every demon comes in every shape and size regarding to their nature but one thing is for certain. They are to be taken seriously even if your engaged by an upper moon, your screwed.
