Scene 1
Tracer dives around to get the backline while Venture distracts Talon. She pulls out the pulse bomb and almost throws it before being hit with an energy pulse and glitching. [Moira, accompanied by Sigma] "You must be a fool to think that the backline was open." She turns around while quickly lowering a glass cage onto Tracer. "All you brits are the same." [Tracer] "Like I'm going to let some ancient Irish insult offend me" [Moira, scoffing] "Dr!" Sigma starts to lift the cage. [Moira] "Slowly! Otherwise she'll escape" Sigma moves the cage over a pit. [Tracer, realizing] "Dr. de Kuiper! You don't have to do this!" [Sigma] "Oh, but I must. This is but another scientific experiment! The result? Well, that will be determined. [Tracer] "Please! I'll be your friend. I'll talk with you every day, I'll be your lab assistant. Just please don't do this." [Moira, rolling eyes] "There's a difference between being heard and being listened to. Dr.?" [Sigma, nodding head] "I heard you perfectly well over the melody of the universe. But alas, I will not listen to the melody you provide. And so, TO DUST, YOU SHALL RETURN!" Sigma intensifies the cage's gravity, sending it rushing down to the depths of the earth. Tracer is sent into an abyss, where she counts for 3 seconds, and then activates her recall ability, which propels her back up until she barely reaches the ledge, then stretches down until she's surrounded by light. Tracer looks around, hearing thunder and seeing different events happening all at once (all animated cinematics; hero, dragons, honor and glory, ect.) until she's thrown through a pitch-black zone, then gets hurled out of an experiment room. Tracer looks back and sees Dr. de Kuiper being escorted out of a room, rambling about the melody and shaking the walls of the space station. Lockdown ensues as Tracer zips to the escape pods and leaves, with the autopilot heading for a launch facility on Earth. [Tracer, stretching] "What the hell just happened?" Tracer pulls out her phone and tries to access world news, but gets no signal. "Of course. Terrific." The escape pod continues its path towards Earth as others follow.
Scene 2
[Tracer] "Random log. My perspective, about 2 months. Your perspective, less than a minute. Funny how you can skip forward in time like that. Let's get a few things straight. Yes, I'm aware that I'm in my own independent web series, and that I'm doing things for your entertainment. Also, I can't access my bank accounts, so I'm living off scraps until I can get back to Overwatch. Speaking of which, my ID also doesn't work. Follow me all you want, but I just want to go home. I miss Emily. And all my friends. Also-" An explosion occurs offscreen somewhere. "And that's my cue! You're just going to follow me, but I'm just going to ignore you." Tracer runs down the street until she sees a burning building, and she jumps in and helps get people out. Many bystanders cheer and snap pictures as Tracer runs off.
Scene 3
Gabriel Reyes is talking with several Blackwatch agents. [Reyes] "And then the hat said, 'Don't worry about me! I'll just be hanging out here!'" The other agents laugh at the joke as another agent approaches. [Agent 1] "Sir? Could I have a moment?" Reyes follows the agent to his workstation. "I was reading the news and-" [Reyes] "Then you're not doing your job" [Agent] "I know, but quick question. Where is Agent Oxton right now?" [Reyes] "Your clearance level isn't high enough for that information" [Agent] "I know, but let me show you something." The agent points to his computer to show an image of Tracer in the background of a news article, highlighting a recent fire. [Reyes] "But she's preparing to fly the Slipstream!" [Agent] "Yet she's right there. Might be an imposter" [Reyes] "You're not getting reprimanded this time. For now, keep giving me updates on the imposter's position! I'm grabbing stealth equipment for this one." [Agent] "Do you want the standard Blackwatch stealth equipment?" [Reyes] "No. I'll use the new mask. Something called 'The Reaper'" [Agent] "What about your current task in Norway?" [Reyes] "That'll have to wait" Reyes then walks off to put on stealth equipment.
Scene 4
Tracer enters a supermarket with some cash the locals donated to her for helping with the fire, walking down the aisles and grabbing food, water and other supplies. She walks back to the counter and sets the items down. [Seller] "You the one that helped rescue people from the fire?" [Tracer] "Yes, that would be me." [Seller] "I'm willing to cut you a deal. 15% off heroes discount." [Tracer] "Done" Tracer hands him the cash and he begins counting as she looks out the window and sees a hooded figure. [Tracer, to self] "Great. A few minutes into this episode and I'm already being stalked. But who is that?" [Seller] "Here's your change. Have a nice day" Tracer takes the items and quickly leaves the store, with the masked figure trailing far behind. Tracer ducks into an alleyway and waits until the figure enters, then punches him in the face, knocking him down to the ground. [Figure] "I just wanted to talk to a hero for once! (They pull down the hood to reveal that they're an Omnic) But I guess that's not possible here" He runs off as Tracer tries to stop him while apologizing. Out of the shadows, a new person with a white mask appears behind her. [The Reaper] "Did you think that you could get away with Identity Fraud?" The Reaper fires both shotguns as Tracer blinks out of the alley, dropping a receipt. The Reaper picks up the receipt and reads the items, seeing how she paid with cash, and then enters the store. "I need to know the name used for this purchase." The seller looks at the receipt and tosses it back at him. [Seller] "I don't answer questions for hitmen. You'll have to ask elsewhere." The Reaper pulls out a shotgun and aims it at the seller's head. [Reaper] "I'd rather do my business here" [Seller, staring him in the eye] "I have no reason to continue living. My life is that bad. Pulling that trigger does nothing for the both of us." Reaper fires his shotgun anyways, killing the seller, then he goes behind the counter and pulls up a list of transactions, naming the owner of the receipt as 'Hero'
Scene 5
[Tracer] "That could've gone better. Should I blame the rendering engine for not rendering their face? No. That was my fault, and I've got to be more careful." Tracer walks down the street until she comes across a hotel offering a discount for a single night. She enters and goes to the clerk. "I see that you've got a discount on one-night rooms?" [Clerk] "Sure do. You deal in credit?" [Tracer] "No, I've only got cash" [Clerk] "Something I should be concerned about?" Tracer just gives him the money. [Tracer] "Can I get a room?" The clerk takes the cash and types on his computer, then hands her a keycard. [Clerk] "Room 442. Enjoy" Tracer goes to the elevators right as Reaper enters the lobby. [Reaper] "I'm looking for a criminal. Deals only in cash, doesn't give a name, ring any bells?" [Clerk] "Take a number and I'll get to you. Eventually" Reaper pulls half his cloak away to reveal a shotgun. [Reaper] "I could also search every room in this building until I knock on the right door" [Clerk] "Listen buddy, I'm just trying to make an honest living. I haven't seen your suspect, so try other buildings and you might find her." [Reaper, grabbing him by throat] "I never revealed whether my suspect was a guy or gal. You're going to tell me where she is, or else-" He grabs his hand, which has a ring on it. "Or else your family will pay the price"
Scene 6
Tracer puts some instant noodles into a microwave and turns it on as she opens bags of clothes. Tracer takes off her brown jacket and replaces it with a black leather one, covering scrapes and tears all over. She pulls the noodles out of the microwave when it goes off and turns on a tv, watching the news. [News anchor] "Listen up folks! Tomorrow marks a significant day for Overwatch, as promising research has helped them develop technology beyond what we can imagine. Although it's currently classified at the moment, after this week, we will learn what they have innovated" Tracer hears a knock at the door. [Clerk, nervous] "Sorry for any interruption, but could you let me in? I forgot to survey the room before handing it to you." [Tracer, through door] "It's currently fine" [Reaper, not heard by Tracer] "Try harder" [Clerk] "You might have bed bugs!" [Tracer, quietly grabbing her guns] "If I had bed bugs, I'd have noticed by now" [Clerk] "No reason to worry, just open the door and I'll move you to another room." Tracer opens the door and immediately fires at Reaper, who also fires back. Tracer pushes him through a window and they both fall into the street. Reaper shoots at her again, but she recalls and blinks to another building. Reaper quickly locates a ladder and climbs on top of the buildings, then starts pursuing her.
Scene 7
Tracer keeps jumping across rooftops until she's sure that she lost him, then stops to catch her breath. [Tracer] "How did he find me? He doesn't know about the 4th wall." Tracer climbs down another ladder, descending back down to street level, and starts walking the streets again. She then goes into a dark alley to stay hidden. [Shady Dealer] "Looking to trade?" Tracer looks around until she sees the figure, who's hidden in the shadows. [Tracer] "Just got lost, that's all" [Shady Dealer] "I can help with that. In exchange for-" [Tracer] "No. I'm not looking to trade." [Shady Dealer] "Figured you'd say something like that. F.R.E.D!" Tracer looks behind her to see a big Omnic blocking the only way out, holding a heavy duty machine gun as well. [Shady Dealer] "Now, you could either fight your way out, or-" F.R.E.D is then shot in the back, and falls over to reveal Reaper. [Reaper] "Get out" The dealer quickly runs out of the alley. "Now, you've made my day a bad one. At least tell me your name, imposter." [Tracer] "It's Tracer. I'd think you-" [Reaper] "Lier" Reaper fires at her again, and she dodges and escapes to the streets. Reaper runs after her while firing more shots. He manages to catch up - thanks to the super soldier program - and tackles Tracer in the middle of the road. Tracer rolls Reaper into an oncoming car and escapes, with Reaper commendiering the car and chasing her. She eventually ducks into another alley, this one more hidden, and tries to open a door as Reaper nears. Eventually, she prys it open and slams it shut once she's inside. She looks and sees Ramattra glaring at her. [Ramattra] "Who the hell are you?"
