Izuku Midoriya had a mostly normal life except that he didn't have a quirk. This went on until his last year of middle school after Bakugou, the school bully, burned his book on hero's quirks with his explosion quirk telling him, "if you wanna be a hero that badly, there's a way to do it. Believe that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life and take a swan dive off the roof." Izuku that same day had an encounter with All Might where he asked if he could ever be a hero without a quirk. Izuku was crying on a bench outside a park when someone came up behind him.
"What is wrong kid," a strange girl asked him. Izuku had seen her around school a few times.
"Oh, it's nothing," Izuku responded wiping his tears.
"No. Something is wrong I can tell," she said, "it's my second quirk. I have a way of reading people ."
Izuku's eyes widened at this. "Woah I have never heard of a second quirk before."
"Well, it isn't really a quirk. It is just a skill I have learned over time," she explained.
Izuku's mouth formed an O shape. "Oh, that makes more sense."
"Anyway, what is up. You can tell me."
"Well I was bullied today and I got to meet my favorite hero All Might. I asked him if I could ever be a hero even though I am quirkless but he said no."
"Quirkless," the girl questioned, "you can't be quirkless."
"W-What do you mean," Izuku asks.
"My real quirk is reading other people's quirk, and making countermeasures to them," the girl added, "and you have a quirk."
Izuku looked at her with utter disbelief because his entire life he was told that he would never be special because he had no quirk.
"Any way you look like you could use a friend. My name is Arora Glover."
"Izuku Midoriya."
Arora sat next to Izuku. "So do you know what high school you are going to," she asked.
"I was planning on going to UA but now I am not so sure," Izuku responded.
"Well if you cannot become a hero then just become a villain," Arora smirked.
"W-w-What do you mean," Izuku stuttered.
"Why not become a villain with me," she said extending her hand for him to take. "Why not I mean if heroes like All Might have abandoned you what more convincing do you need?"
Izuku looks down in his lap pondering what Arora had just said. After a few minutes, he smirked and took her hand exclaiming, "why the hell not."
