The summer passed in a whirlwind for Izuku Midoriya. Every day brought new lessons, challenges, and experiences that pushed him further down the path he had chosen. Training under Kurogiri and, occasionally, Shigaraki was grueling but rewarding. Izuku was taught how to navigate the shadows, use misdirection, and manipulate situations to his advantage. More importantly, he learned how to harness his newfound quirk: the ability to wield and project green fireballs.
Arora, ever the optimist, was by his side through it all. She was the one who encouraged him during the hard days and celebrated his victories during the good ones. She had a knack for lightening the mood, making the darkness around them feel less suffocating. Their bond grew stronger as they worked together, becoming an unstoppable duo in their small corner of villainy.
One day, as the summer was drawing to a close, the League of Villains convened in the meeting room. Izuku and Arora sat at one end of the long table, with Kurogiri and Shigaraki seated at the other. The air was thick with tension as the doors creaked open to reveal All For One. His presence commanded respect and silence.
"We have a new mission," All For One announced, his deep voice reverberating through the room. "UA High School, the cornerstone of hero education, must be infiltrated. We need someone on the inside to gather intelligence and sow chaos when the time comes."
The room buzzed with low murmurs. Shigaraki scratched at his neck, looking irritated. "Why not send someone like Arora? She's clever enough."
Arora raised an eyebrow but said nothing, her gaze shifting to All For One.
"Arora has her strengths," All For One said, his tone measured, "but we need someone who can pass as a student, someone young, unassuming, and unnoticed. Someone like Izuku."
The room fell silent, all eyes turning to Izuku. He blinked in surprise, unsure how to react.
"Me?" he asked, pointing to himself.
"Yes, you," All For One confirmed. "You have spent the summer training. You have proven your resourcefulness and determination. You've developed your quirk to an impressive degree. Most importantly, you have the perfect cover story. A boy desperate to become a hero but rejected by the world."
Arora grinned. "I think he's perfect for it. UA won't know what hit them."
Shigaraki groaned, crossing his arms. "Fine. But don't screw this up, kid. UA isn't just some random school. They're trained to sniff out anything suspicious."
Izuku swallowed hard, the weight of the task settling on his shoulders. He thought about everything that had led him here. Bakugou's cruel words, All Might's crushing rejection, and the comfort Arora had offered him. This was his chance to prove everyone wrong. To show that he wasn't weak or worthless. To make the world regret underestimating him.
"I'll do it," Izuku said, his voice steady.
All For One smiled beneath his mask. "Good. The entrance exams are in two weeks. Kurogiri will ensure you're prepared. Arora, I trust you'll help him maintain his cover."
"Of course," she said, nudging Izuku playfully. "We've got this."
"See that you do," All For One said. "Failure is not an option."
The next two weeks were a blur of preparation. Arora and Kurogiri drilled Izuku relentlessly. He practiced controlling his fireballs until he could shape and direct them with precision. He studied UA's entrance exams, analyzing every aspect of the obstacle course and combat scenarios. Arora even helped him craft a believable backstory to explain his sudden appearance as a quirked student.
On the night before the exam, Izuku stood on the rooftop of the hideout, looking out over the city. Arora joined him, a sly smile on her face.
"Nervous?" she asked.
"A little," he admitted. "What if they figure me out?"
"They won't," she said confidently. "You've got this, Izuku. You're smart, you're strong, and you've got me backing you up."
He smiled, her words giving him a small measure of comfort. "Thanks, Arora. I couldn't have done any of this without you."
She shrugged, punching him lightly on the arm. "What are friends for? Now get some sleep. Tomorrow's a big day."
As Izuku lay in bed that night, he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. The path he had chosen was dangerous, but it was also exhilarating. For the first time in his life, he felt like he had a purpose. He closed his eyes, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Tomorrow, the world of heroes would meet Izuku Midoriya. And they would never be the same.
