Chapter 13: Field Trip-Part 4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marinette's POV...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to screaming coming from the kitchen. Great. I glanced over at the time. Why are we fighting at 8:00 in the morning?
I threw the covers off my body and climbed down the bunk bed. Thankfully no one (Adrien) was in the bedroom to see the rats nest that is my hair.
I managed to get rid of the tornado on my head in the shower. After I took the quick shower, I dried my hair and put on a pair of jean shorts and a loose red tank top. How was the yelling still going on?
I exited the bedroom and went down the hall, turning right to walk into the kitchen. Kim and Alya were arguing.
"It was raw, Alya!" Kim yelled. "You cannot cook anymore!"
"It wasn't raw!" Alya argued back. "You're being a cry baby!"
"Woah, what's going on?" I asked, trying to place a hand on Alya's shoulder. I really didn't want her angry when she was in the kitchen, which was the closest area that had knives in it.
"Alya made breakfast. Kim took a bite and is complaining that it was raw bacon and that Alya shouldn't be allowed in the kitchen again." Nino explained briefly.
"10 bucks Kim is wrong and a loser." Alix called from the couch. Looks like her breakfast was potato chips considering the yellow family sized chip bag in her lap while Terrifier played on the TV. Of course.
"Technically, there is a 99.5% chance that Alya is correct." Max stated, making Kim shoot him a dirty look.
Adrien went back to trying to get Alix to watch something other than Terrifier. One, because who can watch that and eat? And two, Nino was dry heaving into the kitchen sink after someone got cut down the middle. I honestly was just about at that point, too.
The yelling started again. Jesus, this was not going to work. I walked over and turned on Love Island.
"Hey!" Alix exclaimed, throwing a chip at me. I walked over and pushed Alya to get Nino a glass of water. If he keeps dry heaving I will do more than just dry heave.
I then walked over and picked up a piece of bacon, taking a cautious bite.
"Kim, this is perfectly fine." I stated as I finished the bacon. "It's no where near raw. Next time instead of insulting Alya's cooking, cook for yourself instead."
Kim grumbled something while Alix laughed and pointed at Adrien.
"10 bucks! Pay up, model boy!" She yelled.
"What?" Adrien said, holding his hands up. "Why me?"
"'Cause you're rich. Now pay up."
Adrien rolled his eyes and pulled out his wallet. "All I have is a twen-"
"Thank you very much!" Alix cut him off, taking the 20 dollar bill. Adrien sighed and shoved his wallet back into his pants. Meanwhile Alya was making subtle faces of victory and Kim while Nino tried to get her to stop. Of course she wasn't, though.
"Okay, before another argument starts, let's all go down to the beach with the rest of the class." I said. Everyone nodded, Alya and Alix doing a little cheer as everyone rushed to their bedrooms to change.
I went to follow Alya, but I felt a hand grab my elbow. I turned around and saw green.
"Hey, that was pretty awesome how you handled that. They were going at it for over 15 minutes before you woke up." Adrien spoke in a slightly hushed tone. I hated that I was blushing right now. It's not like I could blame it on sunburn. Not yet at least.
"Y-Yeah." I giggled nervously. Adrien smiled and let go of my elbow before walking after Nino and yelling his name.

I was going to bring only one suits, but Alya insisted that I bring a bikini. She said something about my abs. I don't even remember the phony excuse I came up with on how I got them that didn't involve the real black spotted reason.
I twirled around to view how my whole body looked in this red and black bikini. I was not sure about this. Not even a little.
The bikini was pretty, but was it pretty on me?
The top and bottom was a darkish red color, similar to my ladybug suit. Then there was a black outline. The top strings tied around my neck. Thankfully it was still somewhat appropriate. As appropriate as a bikini can get.
"C'mon, girl!" Alya yelled from the other side of the bathroom door. "I'm like 110% you look hot! Get your ass out here!"
I took a few deep breaths (define "a few") before pulling open the bathroom door. Alya's jaw dropped. She had on an orange bikini that was strapless.
"Girl!" She squealed. "You look sooo good! Imagine what sunshine will think!"
I blushed, turning as red as the bikini.
"Alya!" I hissed. "Shh!"
She just laughed and linked her arm with mine. We emerged from the hall and left our cabin. We trailed down the wooden steps and our sandals met sand.
We walked down to the beach. We could see many sun chairs and umbrellas, a volleyball net, and a little area where people could change, as if the cabins weren't literally right there.
Max was keeping score of the volleyball game that was going on. One team was of Kim, Nino, Adrien, and Rose. The other was Alix, Mylene, Ivan, and Juleka. Meanwhile Chloe was suntanning while Sabrina scrambled to get her what ever she asked. Nathanial was drawing under an umbrella.
I was like 99.9999% sure Alya was holding me up right now, because how was I not fainting.
Adrien was shirtless.
Yes, so we're all the other guys.
BUT ADRIEN WAS SHIRTLESS!!!
"Ow!" I winced as Alya pinched me. "What was that for?"
"You were daydreaming. While staring right him!" Alya said, laughing as she led us over to some sun chairs. "You're lucky he didn't see you drooling over him."
I forced myself to ignore her. I also, sadly, forced myself to not stare at Adrien (or Adrien's rock hard abs).
We sat down on some beach chairs or sun chairs or whatever you call them. Alya started to gossip about some people I didn't even know.
"So, then basically, she started to literally piss her pants after-." Alya was cut off when something hit me square in the face.
A volleyball.
At least I didn't fall off the beach chair?
"Ooo!" I heard Kim exclaim, laughing a little. "My bad!"
My cheek was throbbing. It had to be beat red at this point.
"Kim, I'm actually going to kill you!" Alya yelled. I heard footsteps, and then I felt a had on my shoulder and the sun was blocked from my body, a shadow casting over me. I thought it was Alya.
I thought wrong.
"Marinette, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Adrien asked. I lifted my eyes and saw him. That beautiful boy. Hey, my other cheek was probably matching the one that got hit!
"Ye-Yeah. I'm fine." I said quietly, my hand still holding my cheek. I could see, and definitely hear, Alya screaming at Kim while Nino held her back. "It's no big deal."
"Can I see?" Adrien asked softly. He waited until I managed to nod before gently placing his hand over the back of mine that was covering my cheek and pulling it away from my face.
I didn't know how bad it would look. But if it was anything bad, Adrien didn't show it at all on his face.
"Is it bad?" I asked quietly, afraid to hear the answer.
"No," Adrien spoke, still softly. I let go of my hand (had he been holding it this whole time?) that he had removed from my face and let his fingers graze my cheek. "I don't think it'll bruise. Not too badly, at least. But it's definitely red. How about we get you inside and get some ice on it?"
This time he didn't wait for my answer and helped me stand. The yelling grew faint as we walked away from the beach, Adrien's hand on my lower back (OH MY GOD???) as he guided me up the slight hill to the cabin.
He held open the cabin door for me (WHAT!!!) and then it closed shut behind us.
"Sit down." He said as we turned left into the small kitchen. "I'll get the ice for you."
I sat down on one of the stools by the island that was still connected to the kitchen counter and all that. Adrien sat down on the stool next to mine, setting two white things down on the counter while he held the ice pack in his right hand.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Adrien asked as he gently placed the ice pack on my cheek. I nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I spoke. "It doesn't hurt all that much."
Adrien nodded but still frowned. "Kim is a jerk."
"I'm sure it was an accident."
"Well, he should have been more careful." Adrien spoke, his jaw clenching. "He shouldn't have hurt you."
It was quiet for a few moments. Long moments.
Like really longggggggg moments.
"Here, hold this." He spoke. We switched hands so I was holding the ice pack to my cheek now and not him.
He picked up one of the white things that were still sitting on the counter and took off the white wrapping.
A popsicle?
"How is this going to help my cheek?" I asked as he handed me the red popsicle.
"It won't." Adrien said with a small grin as he took the wrapping off his own green popsicle. "I just thought it would cheer you up."
I smiled and giggled a little. We ate popsicles until my cheek was numb from the cold ice pack. Adrien stood and threw away the sticks and wrappers before coming back over and sitting down again.
"Here, let me see." He spoke, gently taking the ice pack away from my cheek. He hummed. "It's still a little red, but otherwise it looks okay. I don't think it'll bruise."
I breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
Adrien stood and put the ice pack back into the freezer right as Alya and Nino came in.
"Oh, my God, girl, are you all right?" Alya exclaimed as she hugged me.
"I'm fine, Alya." I spoke. "It won't even bruise."
Alya breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
"Thank, God." She murmured.
"She punched Kim." Nino spoke up.
"Yeah, it was fuckin' awesome." Alix spoke up as she walked in from the front door.
"What!?" I exclaimed.
"NINO!" Alya yelled. "WHY DID YOU TELL HER?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Somehow it turned into a peaceful night. Alix was passed out on one of the lounge chairs. Kim and Mad were already in bed in their room. Adrien and Nino were playing Jenga while watching Toy Story 3. Don't ask.
Me and Alya were on the couch and she was painting my nails. It was a light or baby pink color. And since she's magical or something she was doing little white dots on them as well.
"Jenga!" Adrien yelled as the Jenga tower toppled over onto Nino.
"Aw, what, dude, that was not fair!" Nino exclaimed. Alya laughed as she capped the nail polish.
"Don't be sad, babe." She teased. She stood and leaned down to kiss his head before disappearing into the hallway.
"Aw." I teased. Nino blushed before scrambling after Alya. I giggled. They were adorable.
...
Did I see Adrien smiling when I laughed. While looking right at me?
Weird...
