Chapter 1 - The Dream Traveller

Some people say dreams are like unconscious visions.

Pushing us to go somewhere, or to accept some great quest.

But there was one dream.

One dream that may have proved that to be true

And the same dream i've met someone... without limbs

Klonoa was currently in a freefall, barely conscious, he didn't know where he would land but this feeling is all to familar to him at this point. Despite being through this experience two times, the kid couldn't help but wonder where he will land this time, which people he's going to meet and what he'd beeen brought here to accomplish.

Until he heard a quiet voice echoing around him

"Please... wherever you are... free us..."

The boy couldn't make it out what it said and before he could wonder any further, he finally landed in what felt like a ocean. He tried to stay conscious but it was to no avail as he drifted back to sleep, the current carrying along the sea.

The boy then woke up and saw nothing but desolate buildings, some collapsed within themselves, people running for their lives and lots and lots of screaming.

"OPEN FIRE!" Yelled a gruff male voice. Klonoa turned around to see a Lunatean Sergeant ordering his troops to shoot a giant robot, presumbably made by whoever started the invasion, but it was in vain as said robot managed to swipe them all away in one hit, the soldiers screaming.

"DAMN IT!" The Sergeant yelled "Our weapons didn't do jack to that thing! RETREAT!"

The said Sergeant's troops not taken out by the attack complied to the Sargeant's orders and retreated. Despite his body being a bit exhausted, he knew he couldn't stay here until...

"Dang it, looks like i arrived too late..." Said a young male voice.

"There's someone in the middle of the field!" Said a older male voice.

"Hm?" The young male grunted and noticed Klonoa. He and the source of the older male face jumped off the cliff they were standing on and ran towards the boy, whacking the robots from the army that was invading Lunatea out of the way.

"Hey! This place isn't safe you know!" The young male said in a raised tone so he could speak over the screaming. "We'll help you find somewhere safe to hide!"

"Wha?" Klonoa said, drearily "Who are you?"

"I'll explain later." Said the young male before picking Klonoa up over his "shoulder" and carrying the boy, the source of the older male voice following along. They were then stopped on their tracks by a group of robots.

"Crush Rayman. Kill Rayman" Said one of the robots before changing one of it's hands into a machine gun and opening fire on the trio, the young male took advantage of it's limbless body to avoid gunfire while keeping Klonoa safe and the older male following him also avoided the gunfire by jumping and flapping his arms in the air. The young male responded by winding up his fist and launching it towards the robots, destroying them before proceeding.

After what felt like hours of running, the young and older male have found a empty shelter. Looking around to see if there aren't any of those robots in sight, the young male sat Klonoa down and he, alongside his partner, also sat down across from him.

"There, they shouldn't find us here." Said the young male, Klonoa could now get a better look of his saviors

One of them was limbless short man with orange hair, purple/red hoodie, white gloves and yellow shoes and his partner was bigger then him, being a large and overweight blue amphibian, with no legs, only feet.

"Thank you." Thanked Klonoa. "What are your names?"

"I'm Rayman! And this is my friend Globox!" Said the young male.

"Hello!" Said Globox.

However there was something about Klonoa that clicked Rayman.

"Hey, you wouldn't happen be Klonoa. Right?" Rayman asked the boy.

"Yeah, i'm Klonoa" Said the cabbit "How did you know my name?"

"Back were there wasn't any screaming nor robots invading this region, me and my friends have decided to take a trip to Lunatea at some point and i've heard murmurs in Lunatea about you." Said Rayman. "You are a hero in these parts! Just like me!"

Klonoa felt indifferent to Rayman's comments about him, it just he often isn't around long enough to recieve it, not because he was unlikeable or they were ungrateful though.

"Wait." Said Klonoa "You said you took a trip to Lunatea right?"

"Yeah?" Said Rayman "What about it?"

"Then that means..." Said Klonoa before quickly running to outside.

"Klonoa! Wait!" Globox yelled and he, along with his partner followed Klonoa. After catching up to the boy, they found him looking around, amist the screaming, he noticed a statue with large wings and a angelic dress in the background.

Klonoa couldn't believe what he was seeing, he knew only one place with a statue like that. Rayman and Globox walked towards the boy.

"Trust me." Rayman said, reasurring Klonoa "I know what you're feeling right now"

And thus Klonoa is back at Lunatea! And he's already befriended Rayman and Globox

In the next chapter, we will have the trio plan their next move against the robots.
