Getting Hype for First Mission Field Trip
"Are we there yet?" Papi asked.
"Papi, we just got in the elevator and we're on our way up to Headmaster Ozpin's office." Ruby pointed out, right after pushing the button and going up.
"We're going to see the boss man, I bet he's fun!" Papi excitedly, having completely no idea what Ozpin is like in person nor has she gotten the chance to meet Ozpin himself.
"He's a nice man, I can promise you that. But he can be a mystery sometimes, it's like there is something more to him and yet can't see him clearly." Ruby explained on how she feels about Ozpin.
"Oh, so he's invisible." Papi gasped, not getting what Ruby is saying.
"No, he's not. I'm just saying that he can be hard to understand at times, but one thing that is clear about him is that he's a friend." Ruby said.
"Oh, then did he call us over to play with him?" Papi asked with a joyful smile.
"(Oh Papi, so cute and so innocent. It's like me, but as a cute little bird.)" Ruby thought giggled.
"No, he called us up here to talk about last night when we tried to catch the mean woman who snuck into the tower." Ruby explained.
Ruby just hopes that the meeting goes well and not to have exposed hers and Jaune's team being involved with the investigation they did days ago, she will just have to play it cool and hope for the best.
"Would it make the elevator go faster if I push this button?" Papi asked as she just pressed a button.
"Papi, no!" Ruby gasped.
(Beacon Headmaster Office)
General James Ironwood was not happy right now because what happened last night was right under his nose.
"They were here... Ozpin, they were here!" Ironwood said, raising his voice a little and slammed his fist on Ozpin's desk.
"We're very much aware of that! Thank you, James." Glynda said sarcastically as she glares at him, not approving of his tone right now.
"Fantastic! You're aware! Now are we going to do something about it, or should we just stay the course and continue to ignore what's right in front of us?!" Ironwood gestured to the window.
"We're not saying that, General. We just have to be careful with how we approach this." Ms. Smith said.
"By the way, Glynda. I notice that you look a little shiny today, like an afterglow of something amazing had just happened to you last night." Ms. Smith whispered in Glynda's ear, making her blush like crazy.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Glynda refused to talk with her cheeks blushing, not wanting to reveal what happened to her last night with Jaune and that Cinder girl.
Then the adults got the alert that the two people they are expecting just arrive on the elevator.
"Come in." Ozpin said.
Ruby and Papi come out of the elevator though the former look a little embarrassed.
"Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here." Ruby explained.
"The buttons were so shiny that I wanted to see what each of them would do, but they did nothing and kept stopping at one floor at a time." Papi explained.
"Do you really think it was a good idea to let a Harpy be let out when their minds are childish?" Glynda asked Ms. Smith with concern.
"Everything is fine, not like they caused any trouble so far." Ms. Smith assured her that Papi is okay with Ruby here.
"Thank you for coming, Ruby. How are you and Papi feeling?" Ozpin asked.
"Okay, I guess. I'd feel better if my bad-guy-catching record wasn't O-for-three." Ruby tried to lighten the mood a little.
"Free? Are we getting free stuff?" Papi excitedly.
"No, Papi, I was… Never mind." Ruby sighed, knowing that it's going to take a long time to explain things to her.
"Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could." Ironwood complimented Ruby for taking the initiative.
"Thank you, sir." Ruby smiled.
"And that goes for you too, Papi. You were brave and helped Ruby when she needed it, you also seem to have skills of your own." Ironwood complimented to Papi.
"Papi is always there for her friends!" Papi smiled proudly as she pumps up her chest.
"Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add." Ozpin explained the purpose of why they are here.
"Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?" Glynda asked.
"Papi never seen mean woman before, but she does remind me of bedtime story about sneaky people going into houses and leaving gifts for the children at night." Papi mentioned.
"Isn't that Santa Claus?" Ruby asked.
"Santa Claus? Where?" Papi asked as she looks around to see if Santa Claus is here.
"Ruby?" Ozpin asked the red hooded girl.
"I... I don't know. She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to us. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked." Ruby explained about the mysterious mask woman from last night.
"Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby." Glynda recalled that night when she was in the city.
"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone." Ironwood said.
"My Mommy does the whole glass thing, does that mean she was the sneaky person?" Papi gasped, thinking it was her own mother being all sneaky last night.
"I'm pretty sure your mom wasn't the woman we fought last night." Ruby said.
"She's right. We looked at the security footage and that woman did not have any feathers on her arms, nor her legs were bird-like. Not only that, but the woman was taller than your mother." Ms. Smith mentioned those traits.
"In other words, your mom is innocent." Ruby said in a short version of Ms. Smith's explanation.
"Yay! My mommy is not a bad guy!" Papi cheered as she flies around in circles.
"Glad we got that sorted out, but we still need to find out who that woman was, and if she is acting on this alone which is doubtful if she did an operation like at the tower last night." Ironwood said.
"Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?" Ruby asked.
"It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together." Ozpin stated.
"Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom." Ruby mentioned, which is a lie and it's the information she and the others got from their private investigation.
"Interesting." Ozpin commented.
"(Oh, I see what you're trying to do, Ruby Rose.)" Ms. Smith thought smiled.
"Really? I thought she was being quiet while thinking about pancakes." Papi was confused.
"Papi, why would she be thinking about pancakes when she was trying to kill us?" Ruby asked.
"Maybe she was thinking about what she would have for breakfast while shooting those arrows at us. Papi knows she would want something for breakfast. Wait, did Papi eat breakfast?" Papi asked herself.
"Yes, you did. We had pancakes with some apple slices and milk." Ruby reminded her of the breakfast they had this morning.
"Oh, so that's why Papi was thinking about pancakes right now." Papi realized.
"Actually, me and my squad have found out about that specific location though we haven't been able to find out whether or not there is actually something out there." Ms. Smith said and gave a quick wink to Ruby.
"Hmm, this could be a lead." Glynda hoped that's the case.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby, Papi. Why don't you two go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you." Ozpin excused the girls.
"Any time." Ruby nodded as she and Papi went for the elevator.
"And Miss Rose, please try and be ... discreet about this matter." Ozpin advised.
"Yes, sir." Ruby said.
"Oh, pretty buttons!" Papi gazed at the buttons again.
"Here we go again." Ruby sighed as the elevator door closes.
(Team RWBY's Room)
Ruby and Papi came back to the room where the rest of their team are waiting, and they zoom over to the two the moment they arrive.
"What happened?" Yang asked.
Ruby got stutter from the sudden question and felt a little nervous while Papi just smiles like she always does.
(Back at the Headmaster Office)
"Well, there we have it. We send as many troops as we can to the southeast, find out exactly what's going on, and eradicate any forces that stand in our way." Ironwood suggested, wanting to end the threat quickly before it becomes too much of a problem to handle.
"Easy there, Ironwood. We just go rushing in like that." Ms. Smith said.
"She's right, not everything has to be about a triumphant display of military bravado!? You treat every situation like it's a contest of measuring di—!"
"Glynda." Ozpin stopped her before she could finish that sentence.
"Well, he does." Glynda stated.
"Even so, we shouldn't be let ourselves get wild up for this otherwise we might find ourselves at the disadvantage." Ms. Smith pointed out.
"She's right. As much as I too would love to end this situation once and for all, we must remember that this may go beyond Vale. Beyond Beacon. And if this truly is part of some master plan for which we know not the final move, we mustn't be so bold. Nor can we risk the spread of panic." Ozpin said wisely.
"I have served you faithfully for years... but if you mean to tell me that your plan is to really hold the defenses, and wait—!"
"It is not!" Ozpin yelled as he stood up from his chair. "You're a general, James. So tell me, when you prepare to go to war, which do you send in first? The flag bearers, or the scouts?" He asked, being calm and cautious.
(Team JNPR's Room)
"Hmm, what do you think? Is Magnhild shiny enough on the head?" Nora asked Kii.
"Looks killable to me, though maybe you could make it a little bigger and even had a rocket booster at the bottom to fly with me." Kii suggested a couple of ideas.
"A flying hammer! Now that is awesome, no evil will be able to escape me when I take the sky!" Nora said with a scary grin and excited.
"Yeah, those fuckers won't know what's coming!" Kii smirked.
"And another reason for me to keep a close eye on you two." Ren sighed.
"Centorea, have you seen one of my earrnings?" Pyrrha asked after looking under a pillow.
"Here, it was on the floor by the door. It must've drop when we came in." Centorea handed the earring to her.
"Thank you." Pyrrha took the earring.
"Jaune, are you feeling okay in there? You've been in the bathroom for quite a while after we had breakfast." Pyrrha knocked on the bathroom door where her boyfriend/leader is.
"Yeah, I'm good." Jaune responded before coming out.
"Got it all out of my system." Jaune sighed in relief and greeted Pyrrha with a kiss.
"Don't worry, I brushed my teeth." Jaune informed.
"Good to know." Pyrrha said.
"No more headaches, beloved? You were drowsy and groaning when we found you naked and asleep with Professor Goodwitch and Cinder Fall." Centorea mentioned concern for her beloved fellow knight.
"Please, don't mention that. I'm still trying to process what just happened to the three of us last night." Jaune exclaimed a little.
"What's the find out more? You fucked both women and now you have four lovers." Kii shrugged.
"No need to be so blunt about it, Kii." Ren said.
"Oh man, I really hope Professor Goodwitch isn't mad about that and thinking about giving me permanent detention." Jaune worried that his future career as a Huntsman might be over.
"Don't be silly, she can't give you detention forever. Can she?" Nora wondered if that was even possible.
"No, but I think she would want a stern talking with about the incident last night." Centorea said.
"Let's not forget about Cinder, she would probably want to have a talk about this as well." Pyrrha mentioned which made Jaune feel nervous.
Jaune felt really nervous about having to talk with the two women he just had sex with last night during the dance while they were drunk too, it'll most likely be awkward and weird for the three of them should they get together and hopefully he can at least apologize to them for what happened.
"Would all first-year students please report to the amphitheater?" Glynda announced through the intercom.
"Okay, time for us to go." Jaune said to his team, and they leave the room.
Jaune look to see Cinder also leaving the building, she turns around to see him coming up to her.
"Cinder! Look, about last night, I just" But Jaune was cut off when she places a finger on his lips.
"We will talk about it later; we have missions to seek out." Cinder said, and then leans closer to his ear.
"But I will say this… I really enjoyed it, and I enjoyed doing it with you." Cinder whispered and kissed him on the lips causing him to blush like crazy.
"See you later." Cinder waved goodbye.
Then Emerald walks up to Jaune with a fierce glare.
"I'm keeping my eyes on you! If you do anything to hurt Cinder, then you're dead and you won't even realize what happened." Emerald threatened before walking away.
"Looks like Cinder is okay with the harem." Nora commented.
(Auditorium)
The scene shows of all the students of Beacon, Shade, Haven, and Atlas Academy have gathered together in the big hall building where they will begin getting their mission for the first-year students and they are excited to get this started.
"Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." Glynda informed before leaving the mic to Ozpin.
"Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best." Ozpin said all and leaves the stage with Glynda.
"Does Ozpin always sound mysterious like that?" Centorea asked.
"The man is known for accomplishing things that most had struggle for. Some of which had earn him the position of headmaster of Beacon." Ren explained.
"I could not help but feel that thou sounded personal within his speech with the feelings of sadness." Centorea noticed that, getting a strong feeling that there is more to Ozpin than what he lets on.
