Chapter 4: Clash of Warriors

We find ourselves in a small room, where Roxas lying in bed.
As he slept he recalled him and Yusei racing through the pipes but when they separated Roxas ended up crashing.
"Yusei!" Roxas gasps waking up before flinching in pain.
Looking around he saw he was in some room and that he had a few bandages on his arm and face.
"What happened?" Roxas asks.
"Oh good you're awake." Turning to the door, Roxas saw Tifa walk in. "You were really out of it."
"Uh where am I?" Roxas asks looking around.
"Well right now you're in my guest room above my bar. I'm Tifa by the way." Tifa said.
"Roxas." Roxas said when Tifa looks at him. "Is something wrong?"
"I like your hair. Very spiky." Tifa smiles causing him to blush.
"So uh how did I get here?" Roxas asks.
"That's what I want to know. When my shipment came in last night, I found you knocked out in the back of the truck." Tifa said causing him to cringe.
"Uh it's a long story." Roxas said.
"Well seeing as how I brought you here instead of reporting you to Sector Security you owe me one." Tifa said as Roxas stood up.
"Look as much as I want to answer I need to find my friend. He and I got separated last night." Roxas said slowly walking away.
"Hold it right there you." Tifa said following him.
Roxas made his way downstairs to find himself in what appeared to be a bar.
Confused Roxas looks around when he saw a newspaper on the counter. "Crazy light show at the Kaiba Dome? That's where Yusei was going."
"Hey!" Tifa said grabbing his shoulder. "What is going on?"
"Look I'm sorry but I have to find my friend Yusei." Roxas said.
"Oh really is he a friend or a fellow thief?" Tifa asks getting his attention.
"Hey I'm not a thief." Roxas said.
"Well that Sector Security Duel Runner says otherwise. You sure don't dress the part." Tifa said.
"Okay fine I did steal the runner, but I have a good reason." Roxas said.
"And what would be that reason?" Tifa narrowed her eyes.
"To help my friend Yusei get out of that trash heap of a home." Roxas said causing Tifa to gasp.
"Wait you snuck into the city from Satellite? How is that possible?" Tifa asks.
"I don't have time for this. I gotta go find him." Roxas said.
"And what if I don't let you?" Tifa asks.
"Excuse me?" Roxas asks.
"You broke out of Satellite and entered the city illegally. Why shouldn't I call the cops on you?" Tifa asks.
Narrowing his eyes, Roxas tightens his fist before Tifa tried to restrain and he pushed back and elbows her back.
"Mmm been a while since I met a boy with some fight in him." Tifa said cracking her knuckles.
'I can't use my keyblades on her that could get crazy.' Roxas thought. "Guess I gotta do this the old fashioned way."
Roxas grabs a drink tray and threw it but Tifa rolls out of the way and punches Roxas knocking him to the ground.
Looking up Tifa was about to kick him but Roxas rolls out of the way and blocks her punches and kicks.
Roxas had taken on quite a few fighters in the past but boy Tifa was definitely up there with some of the tough ones.
Tifa knocks Roxas back as she pushes Roxas to the wall but he kicks her in the gut knocking her back before Roxas pushes her down onto a table and grabs her arms so she couldn't escape. "And I'm gonna do whatever it takes to see that he gets it back."
"Whoa what am I walking in on?" A female voice asks.
Tifa and Roxas look up to see a girl with long brown hair in a ponytail, a red headband on her head, a blue t-shirt and green cargo shorts. This was Jessie Rasberry.
"Way to go Tifa, you finally found a guy who give you a fight." Jessie teases causing Roxas and Tifa to look at each other before he immediately gets up.
"He's not my boyfriend." Tifa said.
"I'm not her boyfriend." Roxas said.
"Shame you two look like you would make a nice couple." Jessie said when Tifa was about to attack. "Whoa girl. We do not want any more broken tables."
"Alright Roxas, you know your way around a fight so what do you say you and I settle this a different way." Tifa offers adjusting herself.
"What?" Roxas asks when Tifa bends behind the bar counter giving Roxas a brief view of her before she pulls out a duel disk. "You duel?"
"Do you?" Tifa smirks.
"Yes I do." Roxas nods.
"Ooh this just got good." Jessie said.
Clearing the tables away, Roxas and Tifa stood each other down.
"Alright Roxas, if I win you come quietly and if you win I won't say anything." Tifa said.
"Fine by me." Roxas said
"Easy you two, as fun as it is seeing you flirt. I really don't want to replace anymore broken furniture." Jessie said causing them both to glare at her blushing.
"We're not flirting!" They both said.
"Oh so that means he's available?" Jessie asks.
"If he wins." Tifa said as both of them activate their duel disks.
Roxas: 4000
Tifa: 4000
"I'll go first." Roxas drew. "With my Shien's Footsoldier in defense mode!" Appearing by his side was a small solider with a spear.
Shien's Foot solider: 700/ 300
"And I'll place one facedown. Your move." Roxas said as his facedown appeared.
"You call that a fighter?" Tifa drew. "This is a fighter! I summon X-Saber Galahad in attack mode!" Appearing in front of Tifa was a solider in green and orange armor.
X-Saber Galahad: 1800/ 800
"Now attack!" Tifa said as Galahad lunges forward. "And when my Galahad attacks a monster he gains 300 points!"
X-Saber Galahad: 2100
Thrusting his spear forward Galahad destroys Shein's Footsoldier with ease.
"My soldier may be weak but when he's destroyed I can summon a level 3 or below monster from my deck. And I choose Six Samurai Kamon!" Roxas said as his orange armored Samurai appeared.
Six Samurai Kamon: 1500/ 1000
"I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn." Tifa said.
'Alright Roxas, let's see if your warriors can stand up to the warriors Tifa has in her deck.' Jessie thought.
"My move." Roxas drew. "I summon Six Samurai Zanji in attack mode!" Appearing next to Kamon was the long spear samurai.
Six Samurai Zanji: 1800/ 1300
"Your monster may gain points when it attacks but when it's attacked it loses points. Zanji attack!" Roxas said as his Samurai charged in.
X-Saber Galahad: 1300/ 800
"I activate Invincible Hero! For the rest of this turn my monster can't be destroyed in battle!" Tifa said as Zanji sliced Galahad but he stood strong.
Roxas: 4000
Tifa: 3500
"I still one more! Go Kamon!" Roxas said as Kamon threw a dynamite stick at Galahad which exploded.
Roxas: 4000
Tifa: 3300
"Your move." Roxas said as Tifa drew.
"I summon X-Saber Palomura!" Tifa said summoning a small lizard solider.
X-Saber Palomura: 200/ 300
"And now I tune my level 1 Palomura and my level 4 Galahad in order to Synchro Summon X-Saber Wayne!" Tifa said as a blue cowboy warrior appeared.
X-Saber Wayne: 2100/ 400
"And with his special ability, I can summon another X-Saber from my hand like X-Saber Anu Pirhana!" Tifa said as a female warrior with a sword appeared.
X-Saber Anu Pirhana: 1800/ 1100
"So that's why she took all that damage." Roxas realized.
"Tifa's no damsel Roxas. She's willing to take a few hits in order to deal some heavier hits in the process." Jessie said.
"And now I'm about to deal them! Since I have two or more X-Sabers on my field I can summon XX-Saber Faultroll!" Tifa said as a third warrior with red armor appeared. "And thanks to Faultroll's effect I can summon back my X-Saber Galahad in attack mode!"
XX-Saber Faultroll: 2400/ 1800
X-Saber Galahad: 1800/ 800
"Wayne take out his Zanji!" Tifa said as Wayne fired a bullet destroying Zanji.
Roxas: 3700
Tifa: 3300
"And time for my Galahad to take out your Kamon!" Tifa said as he leaped in and slashed Kamon.
Roxas: 3100
Tifa: 3300
"And now for the big one! Go Faultroll!" Tifa said as Faultroll drew his sword and attacked.
"Go Draining Shield!" Roxas said as a barrier appeared around him absorbing the attack.
"What?!" Tifa gasps.
Roxas: 5500
Tifa: 3300
"Sorry Tifa but I can take attacks too." Roxas said.
"I still have Anu Pirhana!" Tifa said as her female monster leaped in and slashed Roxas making him cringe in pain.
Roxas: 3700

"I end my turn with one card facedown." Tifa said.
"Whoa he might be pretty good after all." Jessie said.
"I play Reinforcement of the Army which lets me search my deck for a warrior type and I choose my Kagemusha of the Six Samurai." Roxas said adding the card. "Now I summon Legendary Six Samurai Kageki!"
Appearing on the field was a four-armed samurai warrior.
Legendary Six Samurai Kageki: 200/ 2000
"And thanks to his ability I can summon another Six Samurai like my Kagemusha!" Roxas said as the card he just drew was played.
Kagemusha: 400/ 1800
"And thanks to his ability when another Six Samurai is on the field Kageki gains 1500 points." Roxas said as Kageki glowed.
Kageki: 1700/ 2000
"Not bad but neither of them can defeat my monsters." Tifa said.
"Not yet. Since I have more than one Six Samurai I can summon the Grandmaster!" Roxas said as the elderly Samurai appeared.
Grandmaster of the Six Samurai: 2100/ 800
"Now I tune Kagemusha with Kageki in order to Synchro Summon Legendary Six Samurai Shi-En!" Roxas said as the powerful samurai warrior appeared.
Legendary Six Samurai Shi-En: 2500/ 1400
"Shi-En show that Faultroll who the real swordsman is!" Roxas said as his Samurai and Tifa's warrior clashed swords and Shi-En slashes Falutroll destroying it.
Roxas: 3700
Tifa: 3200
"I activate Palomuro's ability! When a Saber monster is destroyed in battle I can summon him to the field." Tifa said as the reptile warrior appeared.
Roxas: 3700
Tifa: 2700
"Grandmaster attack Galahad!" Roxas said as his monster leaps at hers as the points dropped.
"Oh no you don't! By sacrificing Anu Pirhana I can negate your attack on Galahad!" Tifa said as Anu Pirhana stops Grandmaster's attack saving her comrade.
"Man that was a good move." Roxas growls seeing Tifa still had plenty of monsters left over.
"Yep they're like a team, when one Saber is in trouble the others come to her aid." Jessie said.
"I place one card facedown and end my turn." Roxas said.
"My move." Tifa drew. "I summon X-Saber Axel to the field in attack mode!" Tifa said as a blue armored warrior appeared.
X-Saber Axel: 400/ 100
"Next I activate the spell Saber Slash which allows me to destroy as many monsters on your side of the field equal to the number of X-Sabers on my field." Tifa said as all three of her monsters swords glowed.
"I activate Shi-En's special ability! I can sacrifice one Six Samurai to prevent his destruction!" Roxas said as Grandmaster was sacrificed to create a barrier to protect his Samurai.
"I was hoping you would do that. Now I tune my Level 1 Palomuro with my X-Saber Axel and Galahad in order to synchro summon my female partner in dueling, XX-Saber Hyunlei!" Tifa said as a female warrior appeared alongside her.
XX-Saber Hyunlei: 2300/ 1300
"And thanks to her effect I can destroy up to 3 of your facedown cards!" Tifa said as Hyunlei threw knives destroying his facedown card.
"And now I activate my spell Big Bang Shot which really gives Hyunlei an extra punch!" Tifa said as Hyunlei's fist started to glow.
XX-Saber Hyunlei: 2700/ 1300
"Attack!" Tifa said as Hyunlei nailed Shi-En in the gut destroying him.
Roxas: 3500
Tifa: 2700
"Wow that was quite a punch." Roxas gulps.
"Just like my punches." Tifa smirks.
Roxas drew a card and looked at his hand. "I send one card from my hand to the grave to activate Lighting Vortex! Sorry but your gal pal is about to leave the field!"
Above them lighting crackles before a bolt was shot at Hyunlei.
"Wrong, she's sticking with me! Go Magic Jammer by sending one card from my hand to the grave your storm is cut short." Tifa said as Roxas' lighting attack was cut off.
"I summon Secret Six Samurai Fuma in defense mode." Roxas said as a ninja warrior appeared in a kneeling postion.
Secret Six Samurai Fuma: 200/ 1800
"I end my turn." Roxas said.
"Sorry Roxas, but I'm not giving you an inch. Go X-Saber Uruz!" Tifa said as a red armored warrior appeared.
X-Saber Uruz: 1600/ 1000
"You may think your monster is safe in defense mode but thanks to Big Bang Shot you still take damage. Hyunlei go!" Tifa said as Hyunlei punches Fuma destroying him.
Roxas: 2600
Tifa: 2500
"Thanks to Fuma's effect when he's destroyed I can summon a Six Samurai from my deck. Like my Legendary Six Samurai Mizou!"
Six Samurai Mizou: 1600/ 1000
"I end my turn." Tifa growls as Uruz stops his attack.
"My turn." Roxas drew. "I summon Rose, the warrior of Revenge!" Roxas said as a female warrior with red hair appeared.
Rose, Warrior of Revenge: 1600/ 600
"Now I tune, my Level 4 Rose with my level 3 Mizuo in order to Synchro summon my Seven Swords Warrior!" Roxas said as a golden warrior with glowing swords appeared.
Seven Swords Warrior: 2300/ 1800
"That is one impressive monster." Jessie said as the two warriors in gold stared each other down.
"But mine is still the stronger one." Tifa said.
"Not for long. Time to give my swordsman a new sword, I activate Lighting Blade!" Roxas said as a sword appeared in his warrior's hands.
Seven Swords Warrior: 3100
"And thanks to his special ability when he's equipped with an equip card you lose 800 points." Roxas said Seven Swords Warrior flings one of his blades grazing Tifa.
Roxas: 2600
Tifa: 1700
"And now attack!" Leaping in Seven Swords Warrior strikes Hyunlei destroying her.
Roxas: 2600
Tifa: 1300
"And now activate my Warrior's effect. Once per turn I can send one card equipped to him to the graveyard and destroy one card on the field! Sayonara Uruz." Roxas said as Seven Swords Warrior threw Lighting Blade destroying it and Uruz leaving Tifa's field empty. "Finally I end my turn with one card facedown."
"I'll admit Roxas that was a pretty good move." Tifa smiles.
"You're too bad yourself." Roxas smiles.
Jessie looks at the two of them smiling and giggles. "I can't remember the last time Tifa had this much fun in a duel."
"Alright time to take that warrior down." Tifa drew and smiles. "I summon XX-Saber Boggart Knight!" Leaping out was an armored knight in black armor.
XX-Saber Boggart Knight: 1900/ 1000
"And thanks to his ability I can summon an X-Saber from my hand. Meet X-Saber Airbellum!" Tifa said as a warrior with sharp claws appeared.
X-Saber Airbellum: 1600/ 200
"Time for another one. I tune Airbellum with Boggart Knight to Synchro Summon X-Saber Souza!" Tifa said as a large warrior with two swords appeared.
X-Saber Souza: 2500/ 1600
"How many synchros can this deck of yours make?" Roxas asks surprised.
"You'd be surprised." Tifa smirks. "Attack!"
Making an X with both his swords Souza slashes Seven Swords Warrior knocking Roxas back.
Roxas: 2400
Tifa: 1300
"Well Roxas you better get a monster out or you're in trouble." Jessie said
"Geez ya think." Roxas said but he only had one card facedown and nothing in his hand. 'There's a monster strong enough to help me win, but I need to draw it or I'll never find Yusei.' Roxas thought as he took a deep breath and drew. "I activate my facedown card Double Edged Sword! With this card, I can summon 2 Six Samurai monsters from my grave the only drawback is at the end of the turn they're both destroyed and I take damage equal to their attack points." Roxas declared surprising them.
"So he wants to win this duel here and now." Tifa said.
"Now there's a boy not afraid to take risks." Jessie said.
"I summon Six Samurai Zanji and Legendary Six Samurai Mizuho!" Roxas said as his orange and red armored Samurai appeared.
Six Samurai Zanji: 1800/ 1300
Legendary Six Samurai Mizho: 1600/ 1000
"Now I know what you're thinking. Why those two? Well like you I have a monster that can only be summoned when I have two or more samurai cards. Meet Great Shogun Shien!" Roxas said slamming a card down.
Summoning a powerful red samurai with shogun armor steps out.
Great Shogun Shien: 2500/ 2400
"Now attack her X-Saber!" Roxas said as Shien and Souza clashed swords. "And thanks to his ability I can sacrifice Mizuho to keep him on the battlefield!"
As Mizuho leaves the field Shien knocks Souza back and slashes him destroying it.
Tifa gasps looking at the field, she had no cards left and Roxas still had Zanji. "I-I lost."
"Zanji!" Roxas said as Zanji leaps forward and slashes Tifa.
Roxas: 2400
Tifa: 0000
Tifa looks to Roxas walking towards her and holds out his hand.
"That was amazing." Roxas smiles.
"I really thought I had you a few times." Tifa said as she shook hands. "You're not really a criminal are you?"
"No, I'm just someone who's trying to help someone else who needs it." Roxas said.
"What are you talking about?" Jessie asks.
"You see when I found Roxas he had a Security Runner and unconscious and he had snuck into here from Satellite." Tifa explains surprising her.
"You stole from Sector Security?" Jessie asks.
"It's in the back." Roxas points. "Tifa I think I should tell you why I'm here."
Sitting down Roxas explained everything he could about Yusei, his friends and Jack before they made their way to Domino City all the way up to before they got separated.
"Wow, I am so sorry Roxas." Tifa said.
"I am so not a fan of Jack anymore." Jessie said.
"I need to find Yusei and get to him." Roxas said.
"Do you have any idea where he might be?" Tifa asks.
"No and I have no idea how to navigate this place." Roxas said.
"Plus with that Sector Security Runner you could be arrested if anyone spots you with it." Jessie adds.
"Thanks just what I needed." Roxas groans.
"Well as it just so happens Jessie here is quite the technician." Tifa smirks.
"I can make that runner of yours look completely new." Jessie smiles. "And as for your friend I might know a way to find him, but it'll be tricky."
"How tricky?" Roxas asks.
It was late at night as Jessie and Tifa led Roxas down the street.
As they walked Jessie slowly moved towards Roxas.
"Uh is something wrong?" Roxas asks.
"What? You can't expect a girl like me to be walking the streets without a boy escorting me?" Jessie teases.
"Wait what?" Roxas said surprised.
Granted when Roxas was in the Organization there weren't many girls and even after the war he did enjoy his life but he wasn't used to getting attention from girls, let alone very pretty ones.
"Really Jessie?" Tifa raised an eyebrow.
"What, he's kinda cute." Jessie giggles as they walked up to a door and Jessie knocks on it.
The eye hatch opens to reveal a hatch. "Password." A male voice said.
"Let's get rocking and reving." Jessie said as the door opens to reveal a muscular man.
"Welcome back Jessie." He smiles as they high fived. "Tifa, how's it hanging?"
"Oh you know, the bar is busy from time to time." Tifa said walking in when Roxas walk past him.
"Oh a runner? You here to duel?" He asks.
"Yes I am." Roxas said causing the bouncer to chuckle.
"Looks like we got a new victim." He said.
Walking to an elevator, Roxas, Tifa and Jessie entered.
"Victim? I thought I just had to do a few Turbo Duels." Roxas said.
"You do, we just do things a little different down here." Jessie admits.
"The rules are the same, three wins and you're good." Tifa said.
"So what exactly do they do here?" Roxas asks when the door opens and they saw a crowd cheering as two runners were racing along the track.
One runner was large and red while the other was yellow with red lines and both turbo duelists were shredding up the course.
Yellow Rider: 1800
Red Rider: 650
The big runner had an Infernal Flame Emperor on his side of the field and the yellow runner had one facedown card.
"It's over! It's my time to rule the underground! Infernal Flame Emperor attack!" The Bulky runner said as his monster flew in with a flaming fist.
"Oh no you don't! Go Negate Attack!" The yellow rider said as a barrier blocked the attack.
"I was so close." He growled.
"No you weren't." The yellow rider said drawing. "I summon Speedroid Double Yoyo!" Appearing on the field was a monster with two large green yoyos with wheels.
Speedroid Double Yoyo: 1400/ 1400
"And thanks to his special effect I can summon a level 1-3 monster from graveyard. I summon Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke!" Appearing next to the rider was a little duke with a den-den toy.
Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke: 1000/ 1000
"Finally I activate the Speed Spell Synchro Boost which raises my Double Yoyo by 500 attack points and its level by one."
Speedroid Double Yoyo: 1900 level 5
"Now time to win this!" The yellow runner races ahead before turning around. "I tune Speedroid Double Yoyo with Den-Den Daiko Duke in order to Synchro Summon, Hi-Speedroid Kite Drake!" Appearing from the light a mechanical dragon with green wings appeared.
Hi-Speedroid Kite Drake: 3000/ 2800
"And when this card is synchro summoned I can activate one of its effects and destroy all other cards!" Flapping its wings Kite Drake destroying all cards on the field.
"My Emperor!" He gasps.
"Is gone and so are you! Attack!" Kite Drake flew in and rammed into the red runner sending it crashing to the ground.
Yellow Rider: 1800
Red Rider: 0000
"Whoa, who is that?" Roxas asks as the crowd explodes in cheers as the yellow rider stopped.
"If you wanna find your friend you're gonna have to beat 2 others and her." Tifa said.
"And who exactly is her?" Roxas asks.
"The Underground's Queen of Speed." Jessie said as the rider took off her helmet to reveal a girl with black hair and a purple streak in it and she blew a bubble before popping it.
"Gogo Tomago." Both girls said as Roxas started to get nervous.
