Chapter 2

Light of Luster Return!

It's been over at least three whole days since the giant fire monster appeared, and it would've destroyed the entire city if it wasn't for a strange colossal robot that countered the beast. And while there were those thankful for it saving them, there were others who were skeptical. They believed that they were aligned with the creature, but without further evidence that was only nothing more but a rumor.

We now change our focus to a small motel outside of town and in the distance, you could hear the sounds of helicopters flying around. The reason why was because the U.S government deployed the military to Sherman to help out with possible future threats and that meant martial law was in effect.

Lance was on the lookout peeking out through the curtains while Octus was browsing through the internet.

Meanwhile sitting down on one of the beds, Ilana glanced down at the newspaper. The headline of the front-page reading: Giant robot appears! Friend or foe?

She lowered it down; a sad look was on her face. "I feel bad that we had to drag our problems here to Earth."

"That's because we couldn't anticipate them following us here." Lance pointed out closing the curtain.

"Princess, Lance is right. The only way the Mutradi Mega beast would've gotten here is through the same rift gate we used to escape." Octus commented backing him up. "Although the enemy has a way of attacking us, at least now we have a way to counter the enemy."

"We could've used that form to help the fight back home." Lance said with a frown. "On top of that, the Earthlings see us as their enemy even after we saved them."

"It's not their fault for believing that since we aren't from this world." Octus remarked. "But there are others who are thankful for our efforts."

Hearing this made Ilana smile feeling good for being to help. "Well, that's good to hear. Anything else?"

"Actually yes. There is. I recently discovered this post on social media." Through the robot's eye was a display of a clip reading: Who is this cheap replacement?

"Cheap replacement?" Lance was both offended and confused. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"I was curious about that too and after a bit of searching, I discovered this." He displayed what appeared to be some sort of giant flying through the sky. The words 'Who is, Ultraman Luster' underneath it.

"Ultraman Luster?" Both galalunians exclaimed at the same time.

"Correct. Apparently, this planet has had its share of giant monsters in the past." Multiple photos were seen all shown in different countries from around the world.

In Brazil, we see a massive bipedal beetle like kaiju with a very large pair of antler-like pincers on each side of its mouth on its head.

In China we see a giant quadrupole monster whose entire body was made out of solid rock walking by the Great Wall itself shooting a fireball from its mouth. The next photo was from Greenland, we see a tall blue fish monster was seen diving back down into the water.

Next at the Mongolian desert we see the head of a mole like kaiju sticking out from a large dune. The fourth photo showed a large dinosaur with a cranial horn moving through the jungles of Australia and finally we see the silhouette of a giant bird flying across the skies near the dormant volcano of Pompei.

"And every time they appeared, so did Ultraman." He now had more photos showing the giant fighting against the beetle kaiju throwing a right hook. Followed by one showing him kicking a very large and bizarre looking bird before it shows him blasting a tall dinosaur like creature with an energy attack. "He fought these threats and defeated them."

Seeing this giant of light put Iliana in awe. "So this planet has a protector of it's own...That's amazing..."

"If that's true, we need to find this Ultraman." Lance went into thought thinking they might have the possibility to gain a possible ally. "Octus, can you possibly locate him?"

"I could try, but that's probably not likely to happen."

Ilana raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Why is that?"

"The reason why is because Ultraman Luster hasn't been seen in over 17 years. And at the same time the appearances of monsters stopped too. Most theorized he perished in his last battle or left earth. No one knows for sure or exactly why." As the robot explained this there was a sudden commotion coming from outside. Curious but staying alert, Lance peaked through the curtains and his eyes widened in surprise.

"What is it?" Iliana noticed his expression and grew worried.

"Um...You might want to take a look at this." Lance said as Octus put on his Newton disguise. Ilana exited out of the room and was in both shock and awe in what they were seeing.

The night sky was filled with light that was brighter than any star, numerous colors were seen giving off an impression similar to a rainbow.

"What are these lights? " Lance questioned.

"They look similar to the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights, but the energy is not from Earth." Newton answered.

"Is it Mutraddi?"

"No. It's not."

"What is it then?"

"Unknown." While they were occupied trying to figure out what it was, Ilana was drawn to the lights in the sky in a dream-like state.

"This light...it feels so warm..." She muttered to herself because for some odd reason, she was feeling much more safe and secure now. And she didn't even know why.

As the opening starts at a fast pace, we see the silhouettes of three different giants passing. Afterwards we see a fourth and final silhouette of a giant standing in front of the massive crystal just as the title Ultraman Luster appears.

Yume wa sameta. Machi ga mieta

At the beginning we see Kaiden emerging out of the door with his cousin Jeanne coming right up from behind him, surprising the teen a whole bunch making her laugh at his reaction as a crystal shard was seen flying past them.

Ashibaya ni kumo ga sora wo nagareta

We now see Iliana standing in the middle of a park watching children play, reminiscing the times she'd play with her father as a ghostly image of her Corus armor being seen.

Yume janai sa" Kikoeta ki ga shita

Next, we see Lance running alongside the road vaguely remembering his father as a ghostly apparition of his armor, the Magnus is seen.

Genjitsu wa sukoshi kawari hajimeteita

Now we see Octus in his human disguise as Newton observing the people around him before taking on his adult disguise just as it briefly glitches revealing his true form for a split second.

Monokuromu no e ni himeta iro ga

A flash of darkness is seen showing the ruined planet of Galaluna showing Modula and his vast armory of Mutraddi under his control before we see a dark cloaked figure and a pair of glowing yellowish green eyes above the said figure.

Kioku wo taguru ito ni naru Daijoubu, mada susumeru yo tte

We see the three off-worlders forming into Titan and from nearby we see Kaiden running forward bringing out the Esper-Grazer inserting the Luster input into the top of the Soul Converter before holding it out coating him in light.

Tsubasa wo hirogeta

For a brief moment we once again see the silhouettes of the three giants from the start just as the light died down and Luster in his Brilliant type form was seen running alongside Titan going into battle against a whole horde of Mutradii, and kaiju, firing off a series of energy attacks taking out a few of them.

Mirai wo saa mi ni ikou, Kako mo kaeteku mirai wo

After kicking away a Hellberus Luster changes colors going red into his Might Type form creating two energy blades from his wrist running by a Kelbim and Gue Basser causing them to explode while Titan creates a bow and fires off an arrow hitting a Birdon before it countered the punch of a Red King with a punch of its own.

Itsuka kitto wakaru nda, Sono mirai wa ima nan da

Next we see Luster changing his colors into a bluish green color, shifting into his Indigenous Type form and teleported creating a swirl of energy right between his hands to blast away a bunch of Muttradi with ease while Titan leapt up into the air throwing down a spear that impaled Galactron Mk2 causing it to explode before it's seen standing back to back with Luster back in his Brilliant Type form.

Hikari wo sagashi ni yukou Kage wo utsushidasu hikari wo

We now change to show Solomon and a masked woman standing in front of their G3 logo followed by General Steel and his troops seen saluting.

Itsuka kimi ga nagashita, Ano namida ga ima boku wo tsukiugokasu yo

Suddenly we see the masked woman without her mask reaching her hand out to a figure who had his body coated in light that quickly dissipates now revealing her and Kaiden standing across from one another as the same crystal flying over them along with Luster's upper body seen above them both.

We quickly see Ilana and her Corus armor, followed by Lance and his Magnus Armor followed by Octus and his human disguises.

Next, we see supporting characters like Jeanne, an alien child, Solomon and the Mysterious Masked woman.

Afterwards we see Kaiden walking and as he did we see each of the three giant silhouettes appear one at a time right next to Luster's many forms, Brilliant, Might & Indigenous. Behind him were Lance, Octus and Ilana, the silhouette of Titan appearing behind them.

Sono egao ga ima boku wo tsukiugokasu yo

As the song finally ends, we see the group composed of Kaiden, Jeanne, a young alien, Iliana, Lance & Octus all gathered around holding a crystal in the middle glancing up at the skies just as we see the necklace holding the crystal dangle down.

We now see Kaiden opening up his eyes and when he did for some strange reason, he was in what appeared to be some sort of strange ruins, and the entire area around him was dimming with lights, resembling that of stars giving the whole entire place a celestial type of feeling.

"What is this place?" Kaiden couldn't help but wonder where he was. He knew he was dreaming sure, but he never had one like this before either. It reminded him of those video games when a character suddenly dies and reincarnates but this wasn't one of those cases. Sure over the years the dreams have always been different and constant, but this whole thing took the cake.

Suddenly out of nowhere three massive shadows loomed over him. Unsure of what to do, the only thing he could do was see what was there.

Turning around, Kaiden's eyes widened in shock and awe. Standing before him were three different giants and each one had a different appearance but had one thing in common, distinct human-like traits on their metallic faces and they were all looking directly at him.

The first's body was mostly colored silver with purple markings on its legs, upper shoulders and vertical ones covering its chest area with four markings on the sides of its body resembling straight lines as each one connected. The giants' eyes were a light bluish color on its chest was an oval shaped blue dot.

Standing next to it was another giant who instead of purple, its body was colored in silver and red markings. Mostly it's upper chest and lower region of its leaving multiple curved silver marks on its abdomen. The shoulders and hands were also red with its forearms just being silver. Its legs were also entirely red minus the single silver markings on the center of its legs. Its most distinctive traits were pieces of gold like armor equipped onto its forearms with squared shaped shoulder pauldrons. On the back of its head was a curved fin much like you'd see on the back of a gladiator's helmet. Lastly, its eyes were light silver.

Finally, we see the third, its most distinctive feature was that it had two small deer antler-like horns. Its body was colored teal, covered in zig-zagged markings on his shoulders, four on its sides, there were silver lines shaped like a rhombus. On its elbows were silver pieces of armor, with some on its knees. Its eyes were a slanted shape with a translucent light green color. And last in the middle of the rhombus marking on its chest was a pearl clear heptagon.

"Giants...of light?" Kaiden was having such a hard time absorbing what he was seeing and watched as they all began to walk forward passing right by him. Each step they took made a loud noise, almost skyscrapers were being dropped due to their sheer size alone. Curious Kaiden followed them as they all came to a stop adding more fuel to his curiosity.

There appeared to be some sort of altar made out of stone, embedded in the stone were markings Kaiden had never seen before neither the architect of the altar itself. He's seen a lot of pictures of ruins across the world from the many pictures he had seen, but nothing like this. Then suddenly without warning sudden energy appeared. Once it died down something else appeared.

Kneeling in front of the altar was a fourth giant coated in energy and upon seeing its eyes Kaiden's widened in realization. "Wait...you're-"

"Have you come to finally make your choice?" A voice was heard. "If you choose to finally accept this power, know that accepting it comes great risk. And everything you know, will not be the same as you once were."

"What are you talking about?"

"You must make a choice...What will you choose?"

It was at that same time Kaiden shot awake and glanced around to see he was back in his room. Now gaining a sense of his surroundings Kaiden rubbed his eyes a bit. "What was that? These dreams are just getting more and more odd." He gets out of bed smacking his lips around and lightly taps his cheeks trying to fully wake himself up.

"Hmm?" Noticing something he went over to his desk and found what appeared to be a clear white crystal of some sort. Seeing this he tilted his head in confusion. "Where'd this come from? I don't remember ever having this. Maybe Jeanne forgot about it?" He asked himself before shrugging his shoulders and went over to get dressed.

A few minutes later we see Kaiden walking down the stairs stretching out his arms as he yawns. Instantly he was greeted by Jeanne who was on her laptop.

"Good morning." Jeanne greeted her cousin who was pouring a bowl of cereal and added in the milk.

"Morning'..." Kaiden tiredly replied back as he started eating.

"Hey, remember that day you said when giant monsters start falling from the sky?"

"Please don't remind me... " The teen said in a tired tone already regretting those choice of words that were said days ago.

"Well get this...Something else amazing happened. "

"Huh?" She now had drawn Kaiden's complete attention and walked over to Jeanne peering over her shoulder to look at the laptop. There was a video showing the lights in the sky.

"What are those lights?"

"I have no idea." Jeanne answered. "They showed up last night, and people have been going on and on about it all morning now on the news and social media." She showed him the said results and all over Facebook, Twitter, all those big social media sites. There were different photos showing the light shining through the night sky.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know..." Jeanne replied back, taking back her tablet. "But I hope it's a good sign. Because if history tells it right, and with that giant monster appearing, I think, whatever it is...I think they're just getting started." She said in a grim tone before she noticed the crystal shard that Kaiden was holding in his right hand.

"Huh? Kaiden, where'd you get that crystal?"

The male teen held up to himself." I don't know. I found it on my desk when I woke up. Is it yours?"

"Let me see." He handed it to her and she examined it before passing the gem back. "Nope, never seen it before."

In some sort of room we see a man in his middle 30's sitting down on a chair. He had white hair, his eyes covered by black goggles with red lenses. His clothing consisted of a red suit underneath a long-sleeved black jacket, black pants, boots, red gloves and a black wide brim fedora with a red ring. This was the leader of G3, Solomon.

G3 stood for Galactic Guardians Group, a non-government-based security agency that does research on extraterrestrial life forms, and whose goal is to protect the earth from any intergalactic threats.

"Celestine report."

A screen came on and we see a woman wearing a purple and blue visor mask likely made out of glass concealing her face with long black hair styled upwards. She nodded at him. "Sir, as we know just only four days ago the giant fire monster that we dubbed as Jigoku appeared" A display screen is shown and on it were various spots all over the entire world. "And when it did, the life signs of kaiju hibernating have increased."

"All of them?" Solomon inquired and his head scientist nodded as different red dots appeared on the map with names appearing as she named each country.

"Yes sir. Vietnam. Ukraine. Alaska. Jamaica. Haiti. Tasmania. Port Erico & Hawaii."

"Do any of them show signs of emerging?"

"No sir, not yet." She shook her head. "But I highly advise we should increase our observation on the confirmed hibernating monsters we have found for now."

"And what about the robot? Solomon asked as a few screenshots of the titan were seen from when it first appeared including a few brief videos showing how it fight Jigoku.

"While we know for certain it's not of this world, unfortunately we know nothing else. Sir, are you aware of the strange lights that appeared in the sky's last night?"

"I am. What have you found out?"

"Just only this sort of event matches the description of a light that appeared outside of our solar system 19 years ago. The same time 'it' showed up."

Solomon knew instantly who she was referring to. "Even so, for now, we must focus our efforts on locating the ones controlling the robot. And be sure to send out the notifications to the other G3 branches to continue observing the hibernating monsters."

Celestine nodded her head. "Understood." The screen disappeared and then the walls started to move revealing them to be shutters. Slowly Solomon moved up from his seat and glanced out the window gazing at the clouds that shared the same sky as their base did.

As he did, a very private line appeared digitally. "Sir?"

"*deep raspy breathing*Solomon. The time has come again."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. *More deep raspy breathing*As we were told all those years ago, the lights have been blessed upon the earth once again." Suddenly a loud beeping noise was heard drawing his attention to the screen which showed a dot which was a map of the ocean.

"I have to go." He hangs up the other line and the one called Celestine reappears.

"Sir, we have detected movement out in the Pacific Ocean. It just emerged. "

"Have you pinpointed its location and trajectory?"

"Indeed, it's heading straight for Sherman. I'll assemble Delta team right now."

Solomon stood up from his chair. "Do so, but also call in Beta and Alpha team as well. We need to move now."

"Yes sir." Celestine nodded as the call had now ended.

As of the moment we see Kaiden and Jeanne at a local convenience store, while Kaiden is grabbing stuff Jeanne was reading from a newspaper.

"Hey Kaiden, listen to this, apparently they finally finished that bridge."

"You mean the same one that was made because of the big hole left behind by that fire monster?"

"Yeah, that same one." She answered as Kaiden looked through some of the goods they had that day.

"Ok, so what else are they gonna do with that area? It's not like they could just fill it up with concrete or something like that, right?"

"Nah, while some people might find it stupid, but with not much choice their starting in constructing new places to fill in the gap of the hole."

"Then what will they put in there then? A small plaza?"

"Eh, still too early to say." Jeanne replied as she put the newspaper back into the backpack she had on.

"You know Kaiden, since that robot appeared, the internet's been blowing up like crazy. There's already a lot of weird theories going on."

"I bet. " Kaiden said as he grabbed some stuff needed to make some dinner later on. "It actually gives people something new to talk about."

"You wanna hear something else, a lot of people are saying that robot is some sort of cybernetic copy of Ultraman. You believe they say that?"

"No, that's just stupid. If it really was made by the government how come they blasted it after it beat that monster? Just to make a cover up story. Even that's a bit far-fetched."

She nodded at what he said. "True words cous, true words indeed."

"Kaiden? Jeanne?" Hearing the familiar voice, they turn around to see Ilana. Her choice of clothing was a dark magenta long sleeved shirt with a frilly white collar, a dark blue skirt, black knee-high socks and black shoes.

"Ilana, hey are you doing?" Jeanne instantly greeted back as she and Kaiden walked up to her. "I didn't think we'd see you until we returned to school."

"As did I." She replied. "How have things been for you two?"

"Aside from what happened, we're doing ok. And that's what matters right now."

"So what brings you here?" Kaiden questioned.

"Um, I just wanted to see what this place had. "

"Oh okay. " Suddenly Jeanne gained an idea. "Hey, Ilana? Do you want to grab some lunch? "

"Huh? Weren't w-" Before Kaiden could speak his cousin jabbed her elbow into him shutting him up.

"I don't know." Ilana looked a bit unsure. "I really shouldn't."

"No, no. We insist, it's on us. Plus, it'd be nice to know what's been going on since things have calmed down for the time being." Hearing this Ilana pondered in thought. One hand she should return back to those she was with, or she interacted more with the two first people on Earth that actually seemed to be good people and didn't judge her like her classmates at school.

After thinking she gave them a smile. "Sure, I'd love to."

"Well, alright. Let's go."

"Jeanne, we still got stuff to buy." Kaiden reminded her with a flat expression making her pause and turn around.

"Oh yeah, that's right." She chuckled a bit embarrassed by it.

Back at the motel Lance was impatiently tapping his boot on the floor checking the clock. "Where is Ilana? She should be back by now."

"Actually...I just got a message back from her. One moment." Octus said as he uploaded the message. "It says here she's having lunch with Kaiden and Jeanne."

"What!?" He instantly sprung up to his feet, his orders in protecting Galauna's hope kicked in. "She was only supposed to grab something! Not go out like this!"

"Lance, I really think we should just let her have this one." Octus spoke up. "Kaiden and Jeanne are actually good people and unlike the rest of the school, they accepted me and her without hesitation."

"We don't fully know them." He pointed out.

"We won't be able to like this either." The robot said making a good point. "Lance I understand the position you were placed in with a lot of responsibility. But we ought to be able to trust Ilana's judgment. On top of that, it'd be good if we could have those we could trust. Even if we're in hiding, it's vital that we have allies even on this planet if that's possible. On top of that, Ilana might not be showing it now, but she's having a hard time adjusting to this, seeing that those she cared about are back home. I really think she could use it and if we're lucky maybe you could as well."

At first, he was going to argue but instead he didn't. Octus did make another excellent point. Just only days ago, on Galaluna everything was fine and then the Mutraddi invaded their home world, and fearing the worst, Ilana had to leave so much behind, her friends, family, everything she's ever known. And while he only had a little bit back home, he could at least sympathize her pain the best he could. "Fine. But if they're not back by nightfall. We're looking for them."

"Fair enough." Octus was fine with the idea.

At a small local cafe we see Kaiden, Ilana and Jeanne eating and talking, enjoying the atmosphere the place provided at the same time.

"So Ilana, how are you settling in so far?" Jeanne asked after swallowing a small mouthful. "Aside from well... you know what."

Ilana knew what Jeanne was referring to the giant fire beast that they fought days ago. "We're doing ok." The blonde admitted. "But we've yet to actually find a place of our own to call home yet."

"Well, I'm sure you'll find a place really soon." Jeanne said. "Plus, it'd be great if we were neighbors! Wouldn't it be Kaiden?"

"Actually, it would." He answered, the idea of having friends close by would be actually refreshing. "So Ilana, between you and Lance, who's the oldest?"

While she did her best to hide her nervousness Ilana was quick to answer that question. "Um...were not too far apart actually. He's only older than me by a few months."

"Ah, ok." Jeanne commented. "So, you're folks. What do they do?"

"Well, right now our father is looking for work for the time being."

"And you're mother?" Kaiden asked.

Hearing this was a tough question but no less did her best to answer it. "She...she passed away when me and Lance were little..."

"Aw, sorry to hear that."

"That's ok. What about you?"

"Eh, it's...complicated. That's all I can really say." Jeanne replied with a hesitant smile. "Anyways, so your brother sure does know how to fight. He studies martial arts?"

"Oh yes. He does."

"Cool to know."

"Huh?" Ilana was confused before Kaiden chimed in explaining.

"She might not look like it, but Jeanne has seven black belts."

"Which I proudly earned." Jeanne proclaimed proudly.

"And one reason why most people at school avoid you." Kaiden commented. "They think you could take out a person's eye."

She shrugged her shoulders in response to that. "Eh, I never cared for any of that. Plus, now I know there's another person who can hold their own pretty well. I'm actually itching to see how well he can fight."

"That's actually pretty bold and impressive." Ilana admitted making the redhead chuckle. "I know." Jeanne was obviously proud of that.

Ilana turns to Kaiden. "What about you Kaiden?"

"Hmm? Oh, it's just me and my mom, on top of that Jeanne lives with us. "

"How come? "

"Um... " Jeanne got hesitant again." Also complicated.." She answered.

"Oh...sorry again...So what about your father Kaiden? "

He shrugged his shoulders in response. "Never knew him. He died a bit later after I was born."

Ilana groaned, putting both hands in her face realizing what she was doing unintentionally. "I'm so sorry, I keep bringing up sensitive topics for both of you.."

Kaiden shook his head. "Don't be. Everyone's lost a loved one or two in their lives. It's ok to remember them, just as long as we can overcome them."

"Yep. Up top." Jeanne said giving him a high five approving what he said earning a giggle from Ilana who found their interactions with one another a bit funny. Way more different than what she was used to seeing back home.

Meanwhile over at the port side of the city we see an elderly gentleman drinking his favorite brand of soda.

"Hey Corey! Think you'll catch something?"

"I hope so! But, eh, you'll never know. Today might be my lucky day."

"That's what you said yesterday!" The old man replied back before cackling in laughter as he watched his friend cast out the line whistling away waiting for some action. Soon enough, he did.

"Hey! I-I got a bite! " He laughed triumphantly a bit, catching his friends' attention as the bobber sank down and the line was starting to go out. "Whoa! I really got a bite here! I got one!" A struggle began and the distance they saw a splash.

"Oh! Hold onto that one Corey, you got a big one! Hold onto it!"

"So you wanna fight huh!?" Even though he felt the immense pressure from how much struggle the fish on his line was putting up a fight but then suddenly the rod was pulled out of his hands. And then the water started to stir and gradually rise up. The two old men who were there just having a good time watched on in awe before they both turned tail and ran away screaming in fear.

Suddenly the water rose higher and higher and what emerged was another giant monster.

It was a giant blue lobster like creature with features of both an insect and reptilian fish. It had large orange insect eyes covering the whole front of its face. It also had four mandibles, two small ones and two larger ones after the smaller ones with a dorsal fin on its head. with two larger ones on its back. Lastly it had two large vicious looking claws.

Upon emerging the sea monster began to march into the harbor. The first thing it did was start smashing the old warehouses that were in the area before firing off an energy beam produced from its mandibles. Once it made contact with a large cargo freighter, the ship exploded. The giant crustacean also used its right claw slamming it down onto the other ship nearby.

At the same time while watching tv the emergency news broadcast was brought on and immediately Lance and Newton got to their feet.

"Another monster has appeared."

"Is that another Mutraddi?" Lance asked as he rushed to her side with Newton beside him.

"No." Newton answered. "I don't detect any signs of Mutraddi DNA. This creature originated from this planet."

"So that means it's one of the many monsters here on Earth..." Lance summarized. "It doesn't matter now; we have to stop it. Octus, can we track down Ilana's signal?"

The robot's teenage human appearance dispersed revealing his true form. "I'm already on it. We should move immediately."

Meanwhile elsewhere in the city we see Kaiden, Jeanne and Ilana emerge from the cafe and see Hidioi enter the city. All around, there were people running and screaming trying to get away from the beast before it was too late. It was just total chaos.

"We have to get out of here!" Ilana said, earning a nod from her two friends and started running unaware that Hidoi was charging up for another attack and fired its energy blast at a nearby tall building in the distance destroying the top of it immediately exploding.

"C'mon Kaiden, we gotta book it!" Jeanne screamed out.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" He replied back as they got out to the open street. In the distance behind them, Hidoi was continuing its advance. "Geez, that thing is big!"

"Well I sure ain't gonna eat lobster or shrimp for a long while!" Jeanne commented as they picked up the pace. "But I really hope Lance and Newton are alright though!"

"Me too!" Ilana commented as Hidoi fired off an energy blast from its mandibles and up ahead the blast made contact up ahead of them creating an explosion that sent them all flying in opposite directions.

For a brief moment Kaiden's ears were ringing like crazy, his senses were just starting to come back to him as was his vision which returned to normal. Just in time to, cause there was a large crack in the middle of the street along with a bunch of cars that were on fire. Then it hit him, neither his cousin nor friend were nowhere to be seen.

"Jeanne! Ilana!" He called out for them. "Where are you!?"

"Kaiden!" He looked to the source of the voice and saw that on the other side of where he was at. "Are you alright!"

"Yeah, I'm fine!" He replied as Hidoi marched right past them continuing to smash buildings with its large claws. "Guys don't stop! Keep going!"

"What about you!?" Ilana called out.

"I'll manage! We can't stay here!" Kaiden replied back as a loud whoosh sound was heard and an explosion created by energy bolts fired from the sea kaiju's claws.

"Go! Now!" Jeanne nodded and grabbed Ilana proceeding to make a break for it while Kaiden made a mad dash through an alleyway and onto the other side of the street looking up to see Hidoi swinging it's claws knocking a couple of chunks off of a few buildings.

"Hey! Someone! Help!" Kaiden looked over and saw an African American man and woman at a nearby car. He noticed they were trying to break open the door with a crowbar but were having no luck. Even though a part of him told him he needed to run, another part said to do the right thing and help.

He quickly rushed over to the couple. "What's the problem!?"

"Our kids are in here! But the doors stuck!"

"Let me help you!" Kaiden got onto the same side as the man ignoring the screeching of the kaiju nearby and focused on the task at hand. "Alright, one! two! three!" With loud grunts both he and the man used all the strength they could muster and much to their relief the door busted open. Once it did, the woman grabbed her two infants.

Afterwards as they were running a familiar loud screech was heard and Kaiden turned around to see Hidoi charging up another attack. Desperately Kaiden made a run for it as fast as he could while behind him the kaiju fired its energy blast hitting the building nearby and the car creating a large explosion and the force of it at close was more stronger. The world around him slowed down as he was once again sent flying into the air from the force of the explosion that made him roll across the street.

Despite wanting to get up, Kaiden's body wouldn't let him, he was feeling weak, and his body was starting to get cold. Looking down, his heart sank because right now there was a piece or rebar sticking out of his side and he was losing blood and his vision was starting to get blurry

'I guess...' Slowly his eyes were starting to close. 'This is how...I die...' His eyes shut and everything around him turned black darkness consumed everything around him.

No...it is not." A voice spoke up and it was one Kaiden had heard before. Opening his eyes he saw that he was back in the same place like he was before.

"Huh? Wait...!" He stood up and glanced down at where the rebar was. Miraculously it wasn't there and there was no wound nor scar, nothing. It was almost like it never happened.

"How...?" As questions continued to pour in, Kaiden suddenly looked up and surely enough, he was back in his dream with the three same giants from before staring down at him much to his shock and surprise.

"My...My dream?"

"This is no dream..." He turned around to see the fourth giant staring down at him. "Have you the courage to accept this power? It is time to decide Kaiden. What is your resolve?"

"I...I... "

" You must choose." He glanced over his shoulder to see the purple giant spoke with truth. "Here, and now."

"Every moment of hesitation you make will decide the fate of your world." The red giant said hearing his voice somewhat had a vibe that was very encouraging and righteous. "The lives of many hang in the balance."

"Indeed." The teal giant finally spoke in a wise tone much like that of a sage. "But also, the countless lives not just here but across the stars themselves."

Kaiden was shocked, these were the three voices he heard back at school before that fire monster appeared! They belonged to these giants of light.

"I..."

"Choose now."

"Make your decision."

"Quit wasting our time and say something!"

"You mustn't delay."

" I... " He brought up his head as high as he could, looking at the giants before him. "I want to fight! Please! Let me protect their hopes and dreams!" The giants all nodded at his answer and then they all dispersed into light.

"You have finally chosen your path." The fourth giant said as it turned into silver light.

"Now we may begin." The purple giant turned into purple light.

"Summon fourth all your bravery. We will lend you ours as well." The orange giant turned into a light matching his body, orange and red.

"And use this new power wisely." The indigo giant finished off as it turned into a multi shaded blue light.

Kaiden watched as the lights converged together into a large energy orb which descended down to Kaiden and decreased in size along the way. Then the crystal around his necklace glowed an energy stream shot right into the orb allowing it to take shape.

The light died down and appearing before him was some sort of oblong device with an ergonomic grip on its right side. In the center was a small screen surrounded in a silver outlined frame with two arrow pads pointing in the opposite direction and a large round button at the bottom. He then felt a warmth in his pocket and picked up the crystal and saw that it had changed now resembling that of a memory hard drive.

It had the silhouette of a humanoid figure with its right arm raised up high. "What is this?"

Suddenly an image came into his head showing a figure inserting the flash drive into the device before bringing it over to chest and raised it into the air. Although he was confused, he went along with it.

He lowered down the device and noticed there was an empty port on the top of the device. Glancing at the flash drive he inserted it into the port. The device spoke up.

Ultra-Soul!

Ultraman Luster.

"Ultraman Luster... " Kaiden knew that name from anywhere; it was the same giant that appeared nineteen years ago and disappeared. Different thoughts rolled through his mind, why was this happening to him? First the dreams now this? It just didn't make any sense, but another part of him within told him to accept it and go with the flow.

His line of thought was interrupted when the device beeped a few times. And now he saw the image of the purple giant getting into a fighting pose.

"Alright then." Glancing at the device he pressed the arrow pads and scrolled through two different locked emblems, after scrolling for the third time, he finally discovered an image that had the same purple giant raising up its right arm. Pressing the big round button the screen beeped a bit speaking again.

Ultraman Emiror!

Spirit Surge! Brilliance!

All the sudden an energy line appeared spiraling in front of the teen. Soon the energy line disappeared, and swirls of light & energy appeared behind Kaiden.

Kaiden proceeded to hold the device over to the middle of his chest. "Let your spirit radiate brilliantly! Luster!" Without hesitation he hoisted it high into the air as he could and just like that he was enveloped in energy.

Ultraman Luster Brilliant Type!

(Insert Rise)

First, we see a bright white light followed by a multi-colored white crystal appeared before it shatters revealing the Ultra emerge giving out a battle cry with both arms out going forward.

Meanwhile back with Hidoi it swung its right claw onto a nearby building and in the distance Jeanne and Ilana were still running. That was until an immense pressure emerged shaking the ground like crazy.

"What's going on!?"

"Look!" Ilana cried out as they and Hidoi looked over to the pillar of energy that suddenly emerged out of nowhere which soon died down revealing something else entirely different, something that wasn't a kaiju with both arms crossed over its chest.

It was there that they laid their eyes upon the very protector of earth for the first time, in actual person, Ultraman Luster.

Luster was as tall as Titan. Its whole body is covered in crystals. It had a crown of three white crystals surrounding its head. The eyes were yellow box flat shaped with black marked outlines surrounding them.

Its entire body was colored pearl white on the center of its chest was a plate of armor with two crystal shards embedded into them, the armor also reached over its shoulders bearing a blue and red streak. On each forearm there was a gauntlet attached, on each one there was a crystal shard that had a different color. The right was blue, and the left was red. It also has white crystal pads on both knees resembling armor with two more on its shoulders.

From the distance we see G3's ship and inside on a screen showing Luster and even though Solomon didn't show it, he was surprised by this sudden turn of events.

At the same time looking through a pair of binoculars Steel lowered them down growling in annoyance. "Are you kidding me? Now Ultraman is here?"

Upon seeing the giant of light gave off a screech in response Luster got into a fighting stance and charged forward beginning the fight with Luster tackling Hidoi making both kaiju and ultra roll across the street for a bit until it stopped and both combatants got into a more open area.

From the distance the people of the city cheered as the hero of earth faced off against this terrible foe. Standing up Hidoi swung it's right claw that the ultra-easily intercepted and kneed it in its chest.

Afterwards he jumped back avoiding an attack from the lobster and kicked it away. Not long before he followed it up continuing the pressure as he rapidly punched Hidoi in the chest a few times and in the process wasn't able to avoid an close range blast from the beast sending him flying into a nearby building triggering a few alarms from the cars that were near his feet.

Opening up its claws Hidoi began to charge up its next attack as it was doing so Luster glowed for a brief moment and stood still waiting for the kaiju to make its move. Soon enough Hidoi fired off a succession of rapid energy blasts.

Then just like that, Luster shot straight up into the air in an instant becoming coated in energy. Hidoi raised up its pincers trailing the ultra. Despite its efforts none of its attacks landed and Luster sped towards the lobster delivering a kick that knocked Hidoi off its feet.

Seizing this opportunity Luster grabbed the end of Hidoi's tail, going up into the air and spun it around a couple of times before throwing it over back into the ocean. Afterwards Luster dived down into it.

Down below in the water we see Hidoi getting back up onto its feet just as Luster landed as well. Now that the kaiju was in its own element Hidoi sprung forward towards Luster who in response created a purple energy shield causing the kaiju to make an abrupt stop.

From elsewhere we see Octus projecting a screen allowing Lance to see the fight that was occurring under the water itself. The reason we were seeing this right now was because Octus had launched a special drone looking around for Ilana to cover more ground. But once Luster appeared it was recording and following the ultra's every movement.

"That giant knows how to fight well..." Lance noted interested by this new being's presence as they watched Luster kick Hidoi in the chest before creating an energy shield to block an incoming blast from the lobster like kaiju.

"Indeed." Octus agreed as they watched Hidoi bash the side of its right claw into Luster making him stumble back. "Whatever this being is, it's much more intelligent and clearly well trained in hand-to-hand combat than we thought."

"What do you think? Should we find Ilana and form that robot? "

"Normally I'd say we should, so our chances in victory would increase. But I think we should sit this one out. And see what it can do."

Meanwhile back underwater Luster's fight with Hidoi intensified as we see the large lobster like monster bolting forward at fast speeds passing by the giant of light as it fired off energy blasts from its pincers. In response, he increased his speed avoiding the blasts jetting through the water. Despite its best efforts it couldn't hit Luster and then the ultra-returned fire by thrusting his right forward launched a blast of his own that knocked Hidoi into a nearby rock.

As it was preparing to do a counterattack, Luster appeared right in front of it. In fact, he was charging up for an attack. Luster had his hands open a few feet away from one another creating an energy sphere which soon expanded outwards blasting the sea kaiju away. Those that were watching the fight saw the intense light coming from the water and the force of the blast alone made them cover their eyes before they heard a screech looking up to see Hidoi come flying out and landed back on land with a heavy thud.

Afterwards Luster came flying out of the water and landed back on solid ground. Not wasting time he rushed forward and as he did Hidoi swung it's right claw and Luster rolled to the side. However he wasn't able to react to Hidoi swinging its tail which knocked Luster down.

Seizing this opportunity Hidoi began to slam down its claws on Luster's chest repeatedly in succession. Despite getting beaten down relentlessly Luster managed to bring up his arms to block them. Then suddenly the crystals on his body suddenly flashed before a powerful light was emitted from his body, powerful enough to knock off Hidoi of the ultra.

Luster couldn't waste any more time, because the crystals on his head began to turn red emitting some sort of beeping noise.

Suddenly the ultra quickly stretched out both of his arms out behind him.

As he did this all the crystals on his body minus the ones on his head began to glow, getting brighter within passing seconds as the ultra-slowly brought them forward which intensified the glow emitting from the crystals. Within mere moments he brought his arms up high which caused the crystals to stop glowing and quickly he put both his arms together shaping them into an 'L' formation'. And from his right arm a multicolored energy blast, Luster's finisher, Radiance Surge. The attack hit Hidoi right in the chest.

Slowly the force of Luster's attack was sending Hidoi packing slowly going backwards further and further screeching out in pain before it gave one last cry of agony as it then exploded into a million pieces.

When that happened, the roar of the crowd from hundreds of people in the city was heard cheering for the monster's defeat. Happy to know that the day was saved by none other than the same giant of light who had disappeared 17 years ago, but now he had returned gracing the earth with his presence.

Speaking of the said ultra, with the foe now vanquished he looked up and prepared to jump, coating himself in energy, preparing to jump. "Shuurwatch!" Luster jumped into air darting straight up into the sky dispersing into energy particles and left a visible stream of light.

"Team Delta, Alpha and Omega span out and gather the samples of the creature immediately." Solomon issued out his command as he continued staring up at the light stream left by Luster after he disappeared.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the local park area, a small light appeared glowing intensely and within moments it died down.

The light revealed to be none other than Kaiden who then went down to his knees. The sudden exhaustion took into effect and he was catching his breath. What just happened mere moments ago were still fresh in his mind. After disappearing for seventeen years, Luster had returned and now Kaiden was Luster himself? This was all happening so suddenly.

As he got up Kaiden felt something in his right hand. It was the same device used for transforming into Luster. Curious, he reached into his pocket and reached for the crystal, but instead, it was the hard drive that was inserted into the device he was holding. This confirmed two things, one he wasn't loosing it and two everything he saw, witnessed and heard was real.

"Kaiden!" A familiar voice grabbed his attention and quickly Kaiden put the device and hard drive into his pockets and followed the sources of where the voices were coming from.

"Kaiden! Kaiden, where are you!?" Despite her beaten and exhausted form, Jeanne was still able to walk and she didn't care what shape she was in; she wanted to find her cousin with Ilana right behind her.

"Kaiden!" Ilana was also calling out for her friend. "Please answer us!"

"Jeanne! Ilana!" She snapped her head over to the direction where she heard that voice and smiled. Despite her pain, Jeanne ran over to her cousin and tightly embraced him tight as she could be afraid to let go of him, crying tears of joy happy to know that Kaiden was still alive while behind Ilana sighed in relief knowing he was alright.

She then began to pat him down. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Kaiden replied until Jeanne gasped, noticing the blood spot on his shirt and the hole on it. Quickly she lifted it up and saw that there was no wound on there.

"Huh?" She was confused. "Kaiden? What happened?"

"I don't know...apparently, Ultraman Luster saved me." Kaiden answered honestly, but at the same time hoped it sounded the least convincing enough for her to take.

"Wait, Ultraman Luster saved your life?" Ilana asked, wanting to make sure she was hearing this correctly.

"Wow...Talk about luck." Jeanne exclaimed and hugged him once again that he once again returned before hugging her cousin again, still relieved to know that he was ok.

Later on that night back at the apartment in the city, after everything settled down Ilana left her friends and made her way back to the rest of her group. Along the way though, Lance and Octus ran into her. One was relieved to know she was ok, while the other was not.

"What were you thinking!?" The one who was pissed off was none other than Lance. "You could've gotten yourself killed!"

"But I didn't!" Ilana argued back. "I'm still alive aren't I!?"

"That's not the point! You were supposed to come back, not go and hang out. We weren't even able to form the robot because of your actions."

"Well even so, Ultraman Luster came in and stopped that monster, it even saved Kaiden's life!" Lance scoffed at this and sat down.

"You can't go and do that again. Next time you might not be so lucky..." He then changed the subject. "But...that giant, what is it exactly? I've never seen anything like it before..."

"Me neither..." Ilana agreed. "I've heard lots of different stories, but never in my life have I seen something so incredible."

"Agreed. That giant was a living, breathing organism despite its metallic appearance..." Octus corrected. "The energy emitted from it is unlike anything my known database has. I've read a lot of reports, but seeing what it's capable of firsthand does justice."

"I wonder where he came from..." Ilana wondered and then smiled. "But I guess at the same time, it feels nice."

"What does?" Lance asked, raising an eyebrow.

Octus chimed in. "I am also curious, to know what you mean by that Ilana?"

She summarized what her words meant. "Well, we're not from Earth, and clearly neither is he. And just maybe, we might actually gain a new ally and friend."

"I for one highly agree to this." Octus nodded. "Having a being with that much power can help us reclaim Galaluna when the time is right."

"As much as I can agree with that. We don't know where he is." Lance made a point.

"I'm sure we can locate him." Octus said. "That giant isn't able to keep its true form for very long."

"How do you know that?" Ilana questioned.

"Well, as I was analyzing the giant and its fight, I detected that its energy reserves were rapidly depleting as it was fighting. But I need to gather more information to prove this theory."

"Well, after witnessing the events of today, I think it's safe to say that Ultraman Luster can most definitely be an ally." Ilana said, looking at the bright side while Lance still had his doubts.

"That's yet to be seen." Lance pointed out. "Now we just have to find that giant, and see if we can convince him to help us."

"We'll get our chance, but for right now, let's get some rest." Ilana suggested before sighing and laid back down onto the bed. "You know, I already had a feeling that living among the earthlings in hiding wasn't supposed to be anything special. But it looks like we were wrong, weren't we?"

"That we were." Lance admitted. "I never thought I'd get to see anything like this on another planet."

"I agree." Octus chimed in. "Even though we were supposed to be hiding, maybe it was a good thing we did. Because if we're able to learn more about my Sym-biotic defense mode and what other programs I have available. We can have a better chance of intercepting Mutraddi that comes to this planet. But if we do have Ultraman Luster with us, our chances of taking back Galaluna would increase dramatically."

"I'm gonna be honest..." Ilana spoke up. "Even though we had a hard time lately, being forced to leave home, everything we knew, I think that light from last night, maybe it's a sign telling us that things will get better. I mean, is it really wrong not thinking that?"

Lance paused thinking for a moment at what she said. "I'd like to think so." He admitted.

"As would I." Octus admitted. "Maybe our next point of focus should be finding a residence here in Sherman."

Hearing this got Ilana's attention. "We really should."

"That would help us blend in more and draw less attention." Lance very much agreed with that option. "But for right now let's get some rest." With that done the three of them turned in for the night.

Meanwhile with Kaiden he was sitting on the couch staring down at the device he had received. A lot was going through his head, not only did he become ultraman but he also fought a kaiju. On top of that, all of this was somehow connected to the strange dreams he has had for a while now.

He didn't exactly remember when they started, but in each one he was seen fighting a kaiju, and now this happened. Something wasn't right, Kaiden couldn't explain it, he was just down right confused and wanted answers to what exactly was happening to him.

"Whatcha got there? " Suddenly without much time to react a pair of hands reached behind him and snagged the device from his hands. The one to do it was none other than Jeanne who was curiously inspecting it.

"Ok, now I really have to know what's this thing?"

"Jeanne give that back. Kaiden tried to retrieve the device from his cousin, but she was doing her best to keep it out of reach.

"Why what is it?"

"Nothing!" Kaiden said continuing to struggle getting back what was his.

"Oh yeah?" She questioned with a smirk. "What is it then?"

"I told you nothing!"

"C'mon tell me already~ "

Seeing he ultimately had no choice and knew eventually this was going to happen he figured he might as well just do it and get it over with instead. "Alright, alright, fine! "

She smirked happily knowing she'd get her way. "So what is it?"

"Jeanne, listen very carefully, ok?"

" Sure, I'm all ears."

"This is gonna sound crazy, and you're probably gonna think I am."

"Oh, please, how bad can it be?" Jeanne replied, shrugging her shoulders in response.

Kaiden raised an eyebrow at this. "You sure you want to know?"

"Hit me. " Jeanne happily accepted it, making Kaiden sigh and rub his forehead.

"Alright, I'll tell you what it is and what happened to me during the attack. But whatever you do, please don't freak out."

We see the outside of their house. "What!?" Outside her voice was so loud that the neighborhood dogs started barking.

Kaiden: Why was I able to turn into Ultraman Luster and what's the deal with the other three giants of light? Now Jeanne knows about it! We have new neighbors too! It's Ilana and Lance! We go out to do a little shopping, and then a kaiju shows up!? Wait, am I forgetting something!?

Jeanne! I'm gonna need your help bigtime for this! And how come Lance turned into a robot!?
