Note: A sequel to 'Toilet Training is Magic' and takes place within the universe of 'Mommylestia to the Rescue' by Foal Star.

Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts had suspected nothing was out of the ordinary when they received a summons from their friend Minuette, inviting them to come out to the old school building where they had once all attended magic kindergarten together (alongside Twilight, Lyra, and Moondancer). Minuette was already known for being a little bit… eccentric and out there, but that was just what made her her. Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts wouldn't have her any other way.

So they approached the building, which was currently not in use. They peered in through the windows, only to see the classrooms completely unoccupied and void of ponies. They couldn't see any sign of their friend anywhere. Yet when the two unicorns happened by chance to look away from the windows, they saw that the door to the school building had been unlocked. Clearly, somepony was expecting them.

"What do you suppose Minuette's up to now?" Twinkleshine asked Lemon Hearts as the two unicorns made their way inside. "She's been acting awfully strange ever since she came back from that trip to Ponyville."

Lemon Hearts could only shrug her hooves. "Who knows what goes on inside that head of hers? With Minuette, it's best to just go along with it. She's always been that way for as long as I can remember, even when we were in diapers."

Twinkleshine giggled. "Remember that silly little club she tried to get us to form after it turned out that Twilight, Moondancer, and Lyra were all already in potty training by Twilight's third birthday? She insisted that diapers wearing foals like us had to stick together."

"You know, I was honestly surprised she even wanted to potty train," Lemon Hearts found herself commenting as she and Twinkleshine roamed the empty hallways in search of their friend. "She seemed to like being in diapers much more than any of the rest of us. Sometimes, it feels like she's really just a big foal that never grew up. I mean, obviously she did, but you know what I mean."

Twinkleshine nodded back. "Indeed," Then she noticed something that had previously escaped her attention, something that seemed to be a cause for concern. "Say, is it just me or does it seem like this place is getting bigger?"

Lemon Hearts nervously remarked as she looked at herself and at Twinkleshine. "I don't think it's getting bigger, I think we're getting smaller, somehow. It feels like we're turning back into fillies… or worse!" She shuddered at what that seemed to suggest.

Twinkleshine let out a gasp as she only now noticed what Lemon Hearts had pointed out! "Oh my gosh, you're right! We are getting smaller! And we haven't found Minuette yet either! Something is not right here!"

Yet just then, by chance, the two formerly full grown mares now regressing to the level of fillies happened to pass by one of the bathrooms within the school building. And from the fillies' side, they could hear the familiar voice of Minuette calling out to them. "Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts, are you girls out there?"

"Minuette? Is that you?" Twinkleshine asked as she and Lemon Hearts halted in their tracks. "We have to get out of here! Somehow, being in this school is turning us back into little fillies!"

But the voice of Minuette just replied (all the while sounding a tad higher in pitch). "It's okay, girls. This is what I planned for. Come on, come in and join me. I've been waiting all day for this."

"You mean, in the bathroom? Are you okay, Minuette?" Lemon Hearts questioned. "Even considering your usual ways, you don't seem to be acting like yourself."

Minuette giggled. "I'm fine, girls. If you just join me, all will be explained, I promise."

So it was that Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts briefly exchanged mutual glances of worry, before deciding they might as well as do as their friend told them. They at least needed to make sure she was okay and hadn't been affected by whatever it was that was affecting them.

Upon entering the bathroom, however, the two unicorns gasped in surprise at the sight that greeted their eyes!

There stood Minuette, alongside Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle. Princess Celestia had not had her overall appearance altered, but Minuette and Twilight now both seemed to be the size of school aged fillies at best (and in fact seemed a tad smaller even than that). And was it the imagination of both Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts, or did Twilight and Minuette both appear to be wearing a diaper?

Minuette immediately trotted over to her friends, waving a hoof at them as she greeted! "Heya, girls! I'm so glad you could make it! Do you like my little surprise?"

"'Surprise'?" Twinkleshine blinked as she tried to process the words coming out of her fellow unicorn's mouth. "Minuette, what is going on?"

The now shrunken in stature Minuette sheepishly blushed a little as she confessed. "Well, you know how I went to Ponyville to visit Twilight recently?" When her friends nodded, she explained. "Well, I discovered a little secret about Twilight and Princess Celestia, and it got me thinking about you girls: About how we all grew up together from the time we were in diapers, even if Twilight didn't really consider us friends back then. I started feeling a little bit… nostalgic, I guess. And that gave me an idea."

Twilight then explained. "Princess Celestia was convinced to regress us back into toddlers for a little while so we could do a bit of reminiscing and roleplaying. And Minuette decided the best way to start was here in the bathroom, having us all pretend to be in potty training class together," She blushed. "I actually kind of lost my potty training for a little while, and Princess Celestia had to help me get it back. Since then, I've been trying to ease off on having her baby all the time. But Minuette seemed to think that doing it again now couldn't hurt."

Minuette then apologized. "I'm really sorry I had to go about this in secret. But I couldn't think of any other way to get you girls onboard. I promise, we'll go back to normal before the end of the day today. And none of us will lose anything. This'll just be a fun little activity we can do together."

"Do we really have to?" Lemon Hearts groaned. "I don't see why we can't just skip over the potty training part."

"Hey, you wouldn't have to go back to diapers like Twilight and I," Minuette pointed out. "Although, we don't really need them. They're just for show. You two would get to be the big girls, though. You'd get to be ahead of us for a change."

Seeing the look on Minuette's face, whatever will Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts had to resist their fellow unicorn's offer faded. They couldn't really explain why, they just couldn't bring themselves to say no.

"Fine, I guess," Twinkleshine reluctantly agreed. "I do want to someday open my own daycare, so I suppose getting a first hoof experience at foal care like this couldn't hurt."

"And besides, this is only for one day. Then we can all go our separate ways and never speak of it again." Lemon Hearts agreed.

Minuette leapt for joy! "Yay! Thank you girls so much! I promise, you won't regret this!"

Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts could only hope their fellow unicorn was sincere about such a thing.

Princess Celestia then cleared her throat, drawing the attention of the four unicorn fillies before her. "Alright then, my little ponies," She spoke in her best teacher's voice. "I'm sure you all already know at least a little about potty training and getting out of diapers from your parents. But it never hurts to refresh your memory in case some of you are a bit fuzzy or having trouble with it," She trotted over to Twilight. "Twilight, would you like to demonstrate for the others how using the potty works?"

"What? Me?" Twilight blinked in what sounded like genuine surprise. But one look from Princess Celestia was enough to calm her nerves. "A-alright," She hastily and clumsily waddled her way into one of the bathroom stalls, all the while explaining as best she could. "So… whenever you feel like you have to go, you need to ask for permission to use the bathroom. And then a grown-up like Princess Celestia will help you."

Celestia nodded, using her magic to pull down Twilight's diaper as she explained. "Exactly. And there's nothing wrong with asking for help, especially when it comes to taking off your diaper. You obviously want to remove it before you use the potty, or else you'll just go in your diaper instead," She then encouraged Twilight. "Now go ahead, Twilight. I think you can take it from here."

Twilight slowly nodded, blushing a bit. "R-right. So, you just climb onto the seat, like this. And you have to be careful not to wiggle around on it, because it's slippery and you might fall," She moved to sit down on the toilet seat, her legs dangling to either side as all eyes fell upon her. "Then you just… well, you know," And she nervously insisted. "Um… c-can you all look away while I er… go potty? It's rude to watch." Only once everypony had turned their heads did she relax, sighing as she emptied her bladder and her bowels into the toilet.

When all eyes turned back to Twilight, Princess Celestia clapped her hooves and showered Twilight with exaggerated coos and praise! "Well done, Twilight! You did a fantastic job! Oh, I can't wait to tell your parents you used the potty like a big filly! They'll be so proud of you!" Then she used her magic to pull some toilet paper from a small rack in the stall. "Now, just wipe up, and then remember to flush the potty before you wash your hooves."

"Okay." Twilight nodded. She used her magic to take hold of the toilet paper, run it across her flanks a few times, and then dumped the used rolls into the toilet before flushing it. She then waited for her diaper to be pulled back up, before she waddled out of the stall and to the sink.

Meanwhile, Celestia turned to the trio of other unicorns before her and said. "See how easy that was? Now, I want you all to try to do it just like Twily. If any of you need any help, just let me know." And then she used her magic to pull down Minuette's diaper, before opting to trot out of the stall Twilight had been in and stand watch outside the other stalls.

Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts just exchanged mutual glances of agreement, before they went into adjacent stalls and sat on the toilet in both to do their business. It really did feel like they were three years old again.
