In this one, Izumi takes the first step to mend some relationships, as well as having another fight against Scorpion

Tuesday, June 2nd
A thwip sound came as Izumi wired a web rope at another building, and used it to swing across town
The wind blowing against him gave off a cool sensation to the warm day
-"Nothing" he said after taking a look around "No signs of Scorpion"
After finishing classes, he had gone to meet Captain Kamiya in order to learn about any clues in regards to this new threat
Unfortunately
-"We got nothing" he said, holding his head in defeat "We've asked any witnesses if they had any idea where Scorpion came from. But all we got is that he appeared out of nowhere"
And he vanished without leaving trace
You would think something as big as an mutated Scorpion would be easy to track
-"It's only been a day since he showed up" and yet, his anxiety was beyond the charts "Plus, what he said during our fight"
He remembered a particular line from his opponent
-"And once I get rid of you, shell notice how great I am!"
-"Is he after a woman in particular? But what do I have to do with that?" he landed on a building "Either way, I won't let him harm anyone!"
And he fired another web
Meanwhile, on the streets
-"Hey, look!" someone said, pointing at the sky "There goes Spider-man!"
To this, the pedestrians looked up, and started taking photos of the hero or recording videos, all while calling for Spider-man and saying how cool he is
All except for one
-"Stupid freak" Risosa grumbled, hands in his pockets "But once I get my powers back"
He´ll crush him
After cursing, he continued walking
Monday, June the 15th
It had been two weeks since their battle, and no clues yet
-"Nothing yet" Izumi thought while writing down some notes in his notebook while the teacher was explaining the lesson "Could it be that he gave up and decided to leave?"
Boy, would that be great
But, with his luck, he was not counting on it
-"Ok, everyone, listen up!" the teacher called for their attention "For your project, I'll be announcing the topics you will be doing an investigation on!"
There were groans from the students
-"Easy now! Groups of 3 will be formed, and I will be selecting the members for each group, alongside their topic"
-"I wonder who will I get?" Izumi thought, somewhat anxious
-"Ok" the teacher put her hand into a box, and took a piece of paper out "Electronegativity and Ionic Bonds" she then put her hand into another box, containing the students´ names
She got 3 papers out "Izumi Yuuki! Kamiya Ai! Saruogi Takashi!"
Izumi jumped on his seat "That´s!"
He looked at his…. friends? who were just as nervous as he was
Given the state their group was at the moment, thanks to Izumi´s actions, this couldn't have happened at a worst time
-"Are we clear?" the teacher asked
-"Yes, sensei" the trio replied in unison
Nodding in agreement, the teacher kept on assigning groups
-"This is going to be awkward" Izumi felt sweat accumulating in his forehead
Once the groups had been decided, the bell rang, signalizing the end of the day
Izumi walked towards them
-"Um" he scratched the back of his head, not making eye contact "Looking forward to it"
-"Likewise" Kamiya said, not looking up
-"I´ll" Saruogi swallowed "I´ll create a group so we can organize when to meet up to start investigating"
-"Good idea, Saruogi-kun" the ace of the volleyball team said
-"I have to run some errands, so bye!" and the tree climber left, looking down all the way
-"Poor Saruogi-kun" Izumi felt pity
He then threw a look at Shikimori, who had been partnered up with Inuzuka and another classmate
-"Their dynamic looks better than us" the purple haired bitterly thought
-"I have to go to practice Izumi-kun, let's wait for Saruogi-kun to contact us"
-"Ah!" he came back to Earth "S-Sure"
And with that, she grabbed her stuff and went towards the exit
Izumi tightened his hand into a fist, remembering the situation with Kamiya
-"No, I cant let this continue!" he went for his stuff
As she was walking down the stairs
-"Kamiya-san!"
-"Huh?" she turned around, and saw Izumi some steps above
-"Please, let's talk!"
-"I" she held her bag closer, not making eye contact "I have to go"
-"Please, just listen to me!" it was a plea
-"But"
-"You didn't do anything wrong!" he bowed to her
-"Eh?" she looked at him, mouth hanging open surprised
-"You didn't do anything wrong! I didn't know where to start when studying journalism, and it was you who helped me when I needed it! I shouldn't have kept it a secret, so please! Dont think that you are a busybody, because you are not!"
His heart was beating fast, but he had to say this
-"You really are kind, and if anyone is at fault, it's me! But I don't want things to be awkward between us anymore! There is already too much chaos as it is!"
-"Izumi-kun" she was shocked
-"And also, sorry for hitting you with that ball the other day! I let my frustration get the better of me! And it´s fine if you don't want to talk to me anymore after we finish the project, but don´t think of yourself as a bad person, please!"
-"I" she was speechless, and flustered
-"I" Izumi took a deep breath "I said what I wanted to say, I won't take anymore of your time" he walked past her "Take care now"
He said what he had to say, and while he doesnt know if she will forgive him or not
He hoped that he could at least mend one bond
-"Izumi-kun" Kamiya looked down
That apology… He sounded so guilty
-"Me avoiding him was not a good idea. He's already in pain since Shikimori broke up with him, and I don't how to fix that. How to fix any of this!"
If she were to make another mistake
There was one thing that she was certain
Her heart didnt stop beating during his speech
At campus, Izumi and Isana were sitting at a table in an open yard, next to a coffee shop
Students would occasionally took a look at them, realized they were studying, and continue their ways
It seems the rumors that Isana was seeing Izumi in a romantic way had died down already
-"Is this ok?" Izumi asked, handing her his notes
-"Hmmm" She took a few moments to analyze his work "Good work, Izumi-kun!" she beamed "A few spelling mistakes, but youre making good progress!"
-"It's all thanks to your help, Isana-san" he smiled back
They had decided to meet up for some extra practice, since her schedule was free and he had just finished another preparation class, that he had arrived late to due to deciding to do some crime fighting beforehand
-"Really shouldn't push my luck in regards to that" he went for his coffee
-"While we are taking a break, do you mind if I ask you something" the elder one said
-"Oh, sure"
-"Have" she tightened the grip on her pencil "Have you been doing ok?"
-"Huh?" he tilted his head "What do you mean?"
-"I… Saw the moment in which Shikimori-chan broke up with you"
-"Oh" he grabbed his neck
-"Sorry" she panicked "I never had a boyfriend, so I don´t know about this stuff, but at the same time, I couldn't help but worry since I can assume that's heartbreaking"
-"I-It´s ok" he waved his hands "I appreciate you looking after me, Isana-san, and well" he let out a sigh "It was painful yes, but I manage somehow"
-"Have you two talked to each other since?"
-"Well, we do say good morning to each other when we meet at school, though that's more out of politeness than anything"
Specially now that they have been assigned to different groups for the project
-"I wouldn't have minded to be on the same group as her"
But he was happy to be with Kamiya and Saruogi
-"Anyway, I´m focusing on fixing some other things first"
-"That's good" she had a sympathetic smile "How are things with Shuu-chan?"
To this, he gulped
No good since their last talk at the rooftop a couple of weeks ago
But could he really tell her that?
-"That´s"
Fortunately, or unfortunately really, someone interrupted by slamming the table, making them jump on their seats
-"What 's up, Isana?!" Risosa playfully asked
-"Oh" she was taken back "Hello, Risosa-kun"
-"Um" Izumi interfered politely "It's nice to meet you, My name is"
-"Nobody is talking to you kid, so leave, let the adults talk" he said without bothering to look at Izumi
-"Eh?" the purple haired was confused
This earn the athlete a glare from Isana "Risosa-kun, that's not nice"
-"Hey, the kid should learn to take a hint" he pointed a finger at Izumi "He's not worth your time"
-"Who do I choose to spend my time with is my decision" she said, picking up her stuff "And right now, I dont wan´t to talk to you, but to Izumi-kun"
-"Isana-san" Izumi was taken back with her kindness
-"Let´s go, Izumi-kun"
But as soon as she took one step
She was restrained by her wrist by Risosa
-"Tsk, tsk, tsk" Risosa said "I won't take no this time"
-"Huh?" Isana was surprised
For all the times he had hit on her, he never got physical with her
-"Isana-san!" Izumi yelled
This earned the attention of other students in the area, and they were whispering to one another vigorously, others were too scared to interfered, due to the reputation Risosa had
-"Keep it quiet, kid" the athlete warned him
-"Risosa-kun!" Isana tried to break free to no avail "Let me go!"
-"Not until you ditch this kid and go out with me!" he tightened the grip on her
It was hurting
-"It's not like that!" she yelled
-"You can't lie to me!"
Suddenly, another hand grabbed Risosa´s wrist
-"Huh?" Risosa raised his head in surprised
-"Leave her alone" Izumi said, eyebrows furrowed at him, the superhero on him kicking in
-"Izumi-kun" Isana was shocked
-"Hey, look at that kid" one student whispered
-"He's facing Risosa" another student said, impressed
-"What was that kid?" Risosa taunted
-"I said leave her alone"
-"Oh really?" surprisingly, he did let go of her
-"Ngh" Isana massaged her wrist
-"Isana!" her friends went to check on her
Now Risosa was standing in front of Izumi, chest puffed
There was a height difference of about 15 cm
-"What are you going to do then, hotshot? You look so slim, I could send you flying with just one finger"
To this, Izumi was struggling internally
If things did become violent, he was confident he could subdue Risosa easily with his powers, he had fought worse. The problem was
-"There's too many people here" he glanced at his surroundings "If I bring down someone way taller and muscular than me, it could raise suspicions. Plus, I don't want mom to think I´m picking up fights"
Even if that someone was being a jerk
-"Well?" Risosa mockingly asked "Too scared to move?"
-"It's not about what I´ll do" he said, determination not wavering "It's what you should do, which is apologize to Isana-san for how you have treated her. That's not the way to get her attention"
To this, some students laughed
-"Why you little" he was embarrassed, he raised a fist
-"Stop!" Isana yelled
But
-"That's enough!" someone said
They all turned their heads to a security guard
-"What now?!" Risosa was pissed
-"I got a call saying you were being aggressive to Isana-san. You were restraining her!"
-"All I wanted was to have a talk with her"
-"You were restraining her by the wrist! And it was hurting her!" one of Isana´s friends said
-"And you were about to punch that kid!" the other said
-"He should know to mind his"
-"Risosa-kun" Isana interfered, voice cold
-"Huh?" he looked at her, sweating
The glare she was giving her was enough to have him shiver in fear
-"I won't forgive you for this"
To this, he gasped
How could she do that? He was only trying to impress her, it was not his fault
It was Izumi´s and Spider-man´s
-"Tsk" he clicked his tongue, and looked at Izumi "You´ll pay for this!"
And then, he ran away
-"Ok, move along everybody!"
And they did what they had been told, though some threw some praise to Izumi and the guard
The purple haired let out a sigh, shoulders sagging
-"Thank goodness things ended peacefully" he then went towards Isana and the others "Isana-san, are you ok?"
-"Just a little red, but I´ll survive" she then grabbed him by the shoulders "What about you?! He was going to hit you!"
-"I am sure he wasn't going to" he shook her worries away
She let out a sigh, releasing him "You´re too kind, Izumi-kun"
He scratched his cheek embarrassed
-"And brave" one of Isana´s friends said "Not everybody would stand up to Risosa"
-"Yeah" her other friend said "Sorry Isana, we did call the security guard, but we should have interfered sooner"
To this, she smiled at them "It's ok, you´re here now, plus who knows how he would have reacted if you tried something"
-"Yeah" Izumi agreed "It's also good that you two are safe"
To his kind words, the two older girls had stars on her eyes
-"Aw, that 's so nice! Im Yukino Hana by the way!"
-"Yeah, Risosa could learn a few things from you! and my name is Kano Hina!"
-"Ehhehehe" Izumi turned red at the compliments "Izumi Yuuki"
Meanwhile, Isana shook her head in amusement
-"Anyway, I have to get going, will you be ok, Isana-san?"
-"I'll be, what about you? I worried that he might go after you"
-"I am sure he won´t"
-"Ok, but text me when you get home"
-"I will" he waved at them as he walked away "It was nice meeting you all"
And he was gone
-"He's right" Isana said as she and her friends walked away from there "There's no way Risosa-kun is going to try something. That would be ridiculous"
Back with Risosa, he was running fast, blood boiling
-"That stupid kid, how dare he make look like a fool… I will show him!"
Tuesday, June the 16th
-"Is something the matter, Risosa-kun?" Jin asked, noticing how angry and distracted his student was
They were at another one of their study session
-"Tell me something, Doctor" he said, foot tapping "This kid dared to interfere in business that was not his! What's more, he made me look like a fool! Is it wrong to wish I could kick his ass?"
-"Well" Jin twirled his moustache "We all have the right to our privacy, so if this kid somehow wronged you, I see no harm in teaching him a lesson"
Honestly, he couldn't care about Risosa´s love life
But he needed a test subject
-"Exactly! But ugh!" he slammed the table "Ah! Sorry Doctor!"
-"Don´t worry, I understand" he stood up "Would you like some juice?"
-"Yeah, I could use it"
-"Coming up"
And he went to prepare the special beverage
Honestly, he had no idea who this kid that had upsetted Risosa was, but if he did try something against him, Spider-man would be forced to interfere
And that's all he wanted
Wednesday, June the 17th
At the campuss auditorium, several students and guests were line up in the chairs, waiting for the conference to begin
Amongst the public, Isana alongside her two friends Hana and Hina in the front row
At the podium, a teacher hit the microphone a few times "Testing, can everyone hear me?"
There was no feedback, it was loud and clear
-"Thank you all for coming to this conference on Macroeconomics. Todays guest with us is"
But before he could continue, there was a strange noise coming from the ceiling
It felt like it was shaking, and some dust came off towards the public
They all looked, some looked puzzled, others started to whisper among each other
Until, the ceiling broke down, debris falling from it
Upon this, people began rushed out as best as they could, but unfortunately, some were caught up by the fragments
And jumping into the auditorium, Scorpion fall, shaking the ground
-"Good afternoon, everyone" he said maliciously
Everybody began running for their lives
Locating his pray, he jumped at her, landing right in front of her
Isana felt onto the floor when facing such an imposing figure
-"Hi, Isana" he used one of his pincer to hold her by the waist, and lift her up
He did make sure that it was strong enough to restrain her, but that's it
-"Ngh" she tried to break free to no avail "Let me go"
-"Oh?" he got her closer, face to face "Where's the I won't forgive you for this now?"
She sucked in a breath, those words
-"Risosa-kun?" she was shocked
-"It´s Scorpion now" he clarified
-"Release her! Now!" the security guard tried to interfered
Only to have his head pierced by Scorpion´s sting
-"Hah!" Isana brought a hand to her mouth, cold sweat falling as she saw the blood and chunks of brain from the deceases guard
-"Should have known better" he said nonchalantly, and then looked at Isana "Like that kid"
-"What?"
He threw her, body landing a few feet away
-"Isana" her two friends went to her
-"Now" Scorpion walked towards them "Here's what´s going to happen"
Outside the building, the police had formed a perimeter with signs and officers circling the entrance, preventing anyone to enter
When suddenly, a body landed
People went crazy taking photos or videos
-"Sir" an officer said "It´s the body of the security guard"
Captain Kamiya went to check, and winced "Damn it, Scorpion" he took a breath in "Is there anyone still inside?"
-"Three students" the officer handed him a file "Why do you think Scorpion is keeping them alive?"
-"Beats me, but this" he looked at the poor deceased guard "It's a warning for us to not enter"
-"He has not made any demands yet"
-"I think I know what his demand is"
Inside the auditorium
-"So, Isana" Scorpion asked "Where's your knight in shining armor? Too scared to face me?"
-"Is this all because of Izumi-kun?!" Hana asked outraged
-"Could you be any more pathetic?!" Hina followed
To this, the villain stab its tail into the floor, forming creaks
This terrified the two students
-"Don´t make me lose my patience!"
-"Ready to accept the reality, Isana?" he mockingly asked
-"..." Isana´s eyes were glued to the floor "I don't feel that way about Izumi-kun, and I know that he's not perfect"
To this, Scorpion grinned
-"But" she continued "He's not one who would threaten others, or kill someone just because a girl is not dating her. Trust me, I know"
-"Huh?" the villain reared back
-"He tries really hard to help his friends and family, and he's giving his all on his studies to make it to college" she looked up, glaring at the monster "He has compassion for others, so no matter what you say about Izumi-kun, Scorpion!" she emphasized that last part "He's still more of a man than you ever were!"
To this, the villain gasped
How? After everything, she still prefers him?
-"Grr" he clenched his teeth in anger "Fine!" he wrapped his tail around her waist, and lifter her up
-"Isana!" her friends called
-"Then he can be at your funeral!" he got a pincer open, ready to squeeze her face in
Isana close her eyes
But suddenly, there was a thwip sound, followed by some web attached to Scorpion's head
And a diving kick that made him lose his grip on the college student
-"Agh!"
In front of him, Izumi (as Spider-man) landed on his feet and one hand on the floor
-"Spider-man!" Isana yelled as she was helped by her friends
-"Get out here, now!" Izumi yelled, eyes focused on his opponent
Not wasting any time, the trio ran to the exit
-"Ngh" Scorpion growled as he stood up "So you finally decided to show up, freak?"
Izumi gave no answer
-"Once I get rid of you, I'll finish that wimpy purple haired kid!"
-"Wait" Izumi had a flashback of the accident the other day
"Tsk" he clicked his tongue, and looked at Izumi "You´ll pay for this!"
-"Is Scorpion Risosa-kun?!"
The revelation had him shocked
However, there was no time for that, as he dodged a tail attack, forcing him to jump to a line of seats
-"You and that puny kid just had to mind other people's business!" the villain yelled as he went for another stab, which ended up piercing through one of the chairs
-"You´re hurting innocent people!" the web-head yelled back
-"So what?!" he went for another attack that ended up failing "I´m an athlete, someone has to win, might as well be me! If only Isana had realized that!"
-"You have her and her friends as hostages!"
-"Don´t change the subject!"
Realizing that talking was pointless, Izumi fired two web ropes to a chair, pulled from them, lifting the chair, and by spinning, threw it at his opponent
The chair shattered in pieces, making Scorpion staggered back
-"Why, you!"
Izumi went for another attack
However, he was stopped on his tracks by Scorpion, who used his tail to restrain him by the waist
-"Ngh" Izumi struggled to break freak
-"Take this!" Scorpion lifted him up, and slammed him against the floor quite harshly, leaving a crater
He repeated this process a second time
-"Ugh" Izumi groaned in pain
-"How about we take this outside?" Scorpion asked with a feral smile
And so, he threw the wall crawlers body through the same hole he had come through
Everybody outside gasped as they saw Spider-man´s flying
Izumi landed a couple of feet away in the campus area, right on a pathway that led to a construction site for the remodeling of a building
His body rolled on the path before coming to a stop
He coughed a few times while standing up
-"Not so hot now, aren't you, freak?!" Risosa taunted as soon as he landed
-"You really are strong" Izumi admitted
-"Heh, compliments won´t save you now"
He jumped at the hero, stinger ahead to impale the him
Thankfully, despite his injuries, Izumi jumped back
Following this, he fired another web roped that attached to Scorpion´s chest
He pulled from it to jump at his opponent
Taking advantage of it, Scorpion stretched his tail to stab the masked hero
But just as it was about to reach him, Izumi grabbed the stinger with its hand
-"What?!" Scorpion was shocked
-"Sorry for doing this" Izumi began to apply strength, pulling from the tail
This led to the villain to be slightly lifted from the ground
-"Ek!"
He then started to spin around his opponent, accumulating momentum
-"Take this!" Izumi said as he let go of the tail
This caused Risosa to be thrown away, crashing into some trees
-"Gah!" he screamed in pain as he was buried under them
-"That should have done it, right?" he thought as he went towards the pile of trees "I do feel bad for those trees"
Once he was next to them, he started to check for any signs of Scorpion
And then, his vibrations kicked in
He jumped back as soon as he saw the pincer coming through the trunks
However, Scorpion was still able to hold him by his right ankle
-"Ah!" he yelled
-"I!" his sinister voice screamed as he stood up "Did not like that at all!"
And threw away him with all his might
The young hero collided against the support beams of the construction site
-"Ngh" Izumi was down on the floor "There has to be a way to stop him"
-"You´ve been a pain in the ass, freak" Scorpion said as he walked towards him
Once he was next to the hero, he raised his stinger
The purple haired looked up, and gasped when he realized where Scorpion was
-"That´s"
The villain was standing right under chute of a concrete truck
-"I don´t know if this will work, but"
-"Any last words, freak?"
His answer was to fired a web rope from each wrist
Unfortunately, Scorpion moved to the side, dodging them
-"Ha! You missed!"
Except that his target was not the villain, but said chute
-"Here goes nothing!" he yelled, and pulled from his ropes
This caused the chute to break down, and the contents of said truck to be release in big amounts
The young hero used this chanced to jump away
-"Huh?" Scorpion looked up
And was met by a shower of the sticky grey substance
-"Agh!" Risosa could only yell as the concrete spread through every inch of his body
The more he struggle, the more concrete he was covering himself on
-"Gah! This" he coughed as some concrete got into his mouth
Once the truck was emptied
-"Ngh" Scorpion was struggling to move as the substance begin to dried out
-"That should keep him in place" Izumi thought, hoping his plan works
-"Ngggh… Fuck!"
-"Spider-man!" Captain Kamiya said as he and other cops finally arrived to the battlefield
-"Stand back!" he yelled at them "I have to finish now!"
And so, he delivered a punch against the immobilized villain
The concrete he had been covered on shattered into pieces as Izumi´s fist collided against his face
-"Gah!" Scorpion yelled in pain as he was released from his prison of concrete, only to land a few feet away
-"Ngh"
Spider-man approached the villain, who started to twist
-"That´s" Captain Kamiya said as he stood next to the hero
Scorpions body began to re-shape
His exoskeleton began to disappear, giving away to regular human skin
The tail retracted itself into his spine
The pincers had been replaced by hands with fingers
Now, instead of Scorpion, it was Risosa, who had returned to being human
-"Ngghh" he was in pain, clothes shattered "Go to hell you all" and he closed his eyes
An officer went to check him, putting some fingers on his neck "He's out cold"
To this, Izumi and the Captain exchanged looks, and nod in agreement
The fight was over
Some time later, the campus was a mess of reporters asking questions to the witnesses and hostages, while the firemen department was checking the damaged on the building, as well as trying to free the people under the debris
Risosa was taken by an ambulance, he will be questioned and put into jail later
-"Isana-san!" Izumi, once he got back into his regular clothes, showed up
Following the source of the voice, Isana walked towards Izumi
-"Are you ok?!" he asked in a hurry "I saw the news and came as fast as I could!"
-"Don´t worry, Izumi-kun" she raised a hand to calm him down "I´m fine, so are my friends"
-"Thank goodness" he breath a sigh of relief
-"Still" she looked towards the horizon, arm grabbed "I still can't believe it was Risosa-kun" she let out a sigh
-"Are you ok?"
-"I just wonder… Would all of this have been avoided if I had agreed to date him?"
-"You didn't owe him anything, Isana-san" Izumi said calmly "He hurted you, and just because you had rejected him, it was not an excuse to hurt innocent people, so please, don't blame yourself for this"
To this, she smiled, and put a hand on his shoulder "Thank you for the kind words, Izumi-kun"
From far away, someone had watched everything
It was Inuzuka, who had arrived to check on her co-worker
And when he saw Izumi and Isana talking to each other happily, and then remembered the lies of the purple haired
He couldn't help but feel upset
And so, he decided to walk away
-"So, he's still lying to her"
After parting ways, Izumi was on the bus back home
-"Thank goodness Scorpion won´t be an issue anymore"
However, this is the second accident that had occurred
Unless he stops whoever is behind this transformations, the city won't be at peace
-"At least today was a victory"
He felt optimistic
Now, he had to also focus on his school project, as well as trying to mend the bonds with his friends
And he would soon learn that those two things don't mix up well
And that´s the end of that
Seems that Izumi is working on patching things up with Kamiya, will he be succesful? And what about the others?
Oh well, he defeated Socrpion at least, so that´s good
Next time, a certain character will begin to have more importance
