Episode 443: Riding the Winds of Change
Shortly after taking their leave of the hot spring hotel owned by Lucas and Dawn's old friend and classmate Leona and cleared out a horde of Heartless from the nearby mountain. Sora exchanged Gabite for his Hippopotas as Kairi exchanged her Growlithe, Zorua, and Braviary for her Hippopotas, Squirtle, and Drifloon. Sora took out his Rotom Phone and he used it to contact Rei for Dawn to make her report to her.
"Sora, I'm glad to hear from you. I trust you're pretty close to Veilstone City by now," Rei said.
"Yes, Master. We're close to meeting up with the others, but that's not why we're calling you," Sora said.
"Oh? Then, what?" Rei asked.
"The reason we're calling you is Dawn did something I think you definitely should know about," Sora said.
"It's true, Master. I do," Dawn said.
"Okay, Dawn. What is it that you want to tell me?" Rei asked.
"Well, the thing is, I kinda tapped into something with my Keyblade," Dawn said.
"And what is this thing you're speaking of?' Rei asked.
"Well, we were fighting off some Heartless and so I managed to unleash a purple energy from it," Dawn said. Rei was intrigued by what Dawn has told her.
"Is that so? Explain," Rei said.
"Well, the thing is, it's not the first time I pulled it off. While I was practicing with my Keyblade, I let it out, completely by accident, so I thought I'd practice on that for a bit just to make sure it wasn't a fluke," Dawn said.
"I see, Rei said. She placed her hand on her chin and gave it some deep thought. "I think I might have heard about something like this before."
"About what, Master?" Lucas asked.
"Are you saying you know about this?" Kairi asked.
"I'm not completely sure about it, but from I have learned when I was training, there are Keyblades that have certain powers that they unleash when they tap into it," Rei said.
"Certain powers?" Sora asked.
"I only learned of it, I didn't say I learned to do that. My master never taught it to me. But I am doubting it was an accident. It might have been intended, but you didn't know it," Rei said.
"You mean, I tapped into my Keyblade's powers? I wonder what else I can do with it?" Dawn asked.
"That is something you are going have to figure out for yourselves. I will pass this onto Ash and the others as soon as I hang up. In the meantime, I suggest you look into this mystery as thoroughly as possible," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Sora, Kairi, Lucas, and Dawn said.
"Also, I am confident you will earn your next Gym Badges," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Sora and Lucas said.
"The same can and will be said for your next Contests. And I have complete confidence in you, Dawn," Rei said. Dawn nodded, letting her master know she understands. It didn't take a genius to figure out Rei was watching the Solaceon Pokémon Contest on TV.
"Thanks, Master," Dawn said.
"I thank you for passing this knowledge onto me, so do what you can to do the same. That will be all for now," Rei said, breaking contact.
"Well, that was unexpected," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Yeah. Didn't your dad pull this off before he died, Sora?" Lucas asked.
"I honestly don't know. I think she would have already mentioned it to me, Kairi, and the rest of us if he did. I'm also wondering if my dad's master, Quincy Jin pulled it off, too," Sora said.
"And since we're getting closer to Veilstone City, let's see if we can do some training before we go?' Lucas asked.
"Good idea," Sora agreed.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
So, Sora, Kairi, Lucas, and Dawn began to train their Pokémon before they could get started on their Keyblade training.
During the training, Sora and Kairi's Hippopotas have both evolved right into large hippo-like Pokémon. They were both colored differently. Sora's is light brown while Kairi's is bluish-gray. They both have dark gray backs and muzzles with several small and large holes in them. They both have red eyes, large rounded snouts, and massive mouths that is over 7 feet (2 meters) wide when they opened them. Their mouths are filled with peg-like teeth, with the two front teeth on its lower jaw being much longer than the rest. Hippowdon also has black feet with four blunt, flat claws each.
"Wow, look at that," Sora said.
"They evolved," Kairi said.
"They're Hippowdon," Lucas said.
"Hippowdon, huh?" Sora asked, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned them both. The image of both Hippowdon appeared on their on Sora's Rotom Phone.
Hippowdon, the Heavyweight Pokémon
The evolved form of Hippopotas
Type: Ground
Hippowdon are very quick to anger and will attack anything that invades its territory. It opens up its large mouth as a way to show off its strength. Its massive jaws are strong enough to crush a car.
"Wow, those are strong choppers," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"And pretty cool," Sora said.
"Sure is," Kairi said.
The two Hippowdon looked at each other before they nuzzle each other lovingly. It looked like another romance has bloomed.
"Well, there's a sight I'm glad to see," a familiar voice said. They turned to see Riku, Naminé, Kanako, Eevee, and Azurill showing up.
"Riku," Sora said.
"Naminé," Kairi said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Azurill," Azurill said.
"It's been a while. Just glad to have you back to us," Sora said.
"Good to be back," Riku said. Kanako was still nervous about seeing Sora, Kairi, Lucas, and Dawn again since their last meeting. Riku turned to his sister. "It's okay, Kanako. Sora and the others will accept you."
"I know, but..." Kanako paused.
"Look, Kanako, if Riku can trust you, I can, too. We might have gotten off on the wrong foot, but we might as well start over, right?" Sora asked holding out his hand as a sign of forgiveness. Kanako took Sora by the hand, shaking it.
"Thank you for making me feel welcomed, Sora," Kanako said.
"How did you find us?" Lucas asked.
"The Master told us you were heading for Veilstone City, so we decided to meet up with the others for real," Riku said.
"We were told that you and Yugi were in the Hearthome Tag Tournament while we were gone," Naminé said.
"Not only that, we were told you battled Sinnoh's Champion, Cynthia and took down half of her team, also Kairi has won the Contest in Hearthome City and Sora earned a Relic Badge from the Gym Leader," Riku said.
"Well, Sora earned that one while Roxas and I still have our two Gym Badges," Lucas said.
"Yeah, we heard you were paired with Paul, Lucas," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Yeah, I did not enjoy being his teammate one bit," Lucas said.
"I don't doubt it," Riku said.
"If it's okay with you, we would like to travel with you again, for old time's sake," Naminé said.
"Like I'm gonna say no. You're more than welcome to join up. And you to, Kanako," Sora said. Kanako smiled at that.
"Thanks," Kanako said.
Unknown to them, Loki was watching them closely and he chuckled.
"So, Kanako has switched sides. Count Ernesh isn't going to like this one bit. Oh, no, not one bit. It'll be really bad for her if he knew, and he will know!" Loki said as he teleports back to Count Ernesh's mansion.
"Loki, what is it?" Count Ernesh asked.
"Master, it fills me with regret to inform that you Kanako has betrayed us and our cause," Loki said.
"What?" Count Ernesh asked, finding unbelievable.
"It's true, Master. I saw it with my own eyes. She was getting all chummy with Sora Ketchum and the others when I saw them," Loki said.
"If what you say is true, then Kanako is a traitor and she must be dealt with like the others," Count Ernesh said.
Back in Sinnoh, in a little while later, they arrived to a city with a strong wind blowing about. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Kanako, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup made a stop for some lunch as Kairi has made some sandwiches and Pokémon food for everyone. Just when everyone were about to enjoy their meal, it is interrupted by a swarm of Gligar, lead by a single Gliscor. They fly around and take the food from them.
"What the?!" Sora exclaimed.
"What are those?!" Lucas asked.
"Those are Gligar, and that's their evolved form Gliscor!" Sora said. They called their Pokémon back inside their Pokéballs.
"I gotta see this," Dawn said, taking out her Rotom Phone to scan them.
Gligar, the Fly Scorpion Pokémon
Type: Ground/Flying
It glides by using the membranes attached its arms and legs, and attacks defenseless prey with its claws.
Lucas took out his Rotom Phone to scan their evolved form.
Gliscor, the Fang Scorpion Pokémon
The evolved form of Gligar
Type: Ground/Flying
It watches for prey by hanging from trees by its tail. It attacks when it sees its chance.
Gligar ate two of the sandwiches Kairi made.
"This is just great. Our lunch gets taken by some hungry Gligar and a Gliscor. What else can happen?' Sora asked. He got his answer when an Ice Beam right at the Fang Scorpion Pokémon. Sora turned to see Paul along with his Weavile. "Ask a stupid question and you get a smart aleck answer." Paul took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Murkrow! Use Haze!" Paul ordered as his Pokéball opened and Murkrow came out. Before the Darkness Pokémon could let out Haze, Gliscor let out a yell as the wind blows and several more Gligar came to attack. "Murkrow! Dodge them!" Murkrow dodges them as the Gligar came right for the crow-like Pokémon. The wind blows again as Gliscor and the Gligar rode in the wind to escape. All that was left is a single Gligar, eating an apple. Realizing it was left behind, the lone Gligar took flight after them, but lands right on Lucas.
"Hey! Get off!" Lucas yelled. He pushes Gligar off as Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Piplup surrounds it. Gligar then took off. Paul called back his two Pokémon.
"At least that Gliscor lives up to its reputation," Paul said.
"So you're here to capture that Gliscor, aren't you?" Sora asked.
"Stay out of my way, got it?" Paul asked as he walked off.
"Well, that one thing that hasn't changed," Riku said.
"I'm going to take it that ray of sunshine is Paul, right?" Kanako asked.
"That's him," Riku confirmed.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
And then, Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy arrived.
"Are you folks alright?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Yeah, we are. Except they made a break for it with our lunch," Sora said.
"It looks like they escaped once again," Nurse Joy said.
"And we weren't in time once again," Officer Jenny said.
"Again? Have they always been a problem?" Kanako asked.
"Ever since they first got here. But I think we should talk more at the Pokémon Center," Nurse Joy said.
Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny led the group to the Pokémon Center where they sat them on the tables.
"To answer your question, the Gliscor and Gligar have turned our city into a ghost town. They've eaten up every bit of fruit and vegetables they could find. And now, they're grabbing food right out of our hands," Officer Jenny said as they looked at the ravaged trees.
"Gligar and Gliscor normally lives in the forest, don't they?" Kairi asked.
"I agree with her. What are they even doing here in the first place?" Riku asked.
"We think they all managed to get lost," Officer Jenny said.
"What do you mean lost? How did they get lost?" Kanako asked.
"You see, there was a terrible storm that hit one day. The wind was especially fierce. It was so strong, not even Gliscor could escape from its force, so it ended up trapped in our city. Of course Gliscor wanted to return to the forest, but the winds are just too strong," Nurse Joy said.
"No wonder they can't get out. I'm guessing he tried to fight it before, but couldn't because of the sky scrapper currents," Kairi said.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Dawn asked.
"A lot. The taller the sky scrapper is, the stronger the wind current wind is," Kairi said.
"So that Gliscor had no choice but to stay here. And not too long after that, Gliscor managed to it attracted all of the Gligar in the surrounding area," Officer Jenny said.
"How did Gliscor do that?" Lucas asked.
"Gliscor and Gligar fire off some sort of sound wave in order to detect obstacles and fly around them, but in the city, these sound waves can become magnified and scattered, bouncing wildly off of buildings," Nurse Joy said.
"And that's what brought all those Gligar here. That also explains why they're all here at once," Riku said.
"Yes. We've tried many times to capture them just so we can return them to the forest. But they're very cautious, and we can't get a hold of them," Nurse Joy said.
"So our latest plan is to lure them in by using Gligar's favorite fruit as bait," Officer Jenny said.
"That's a good plan. We'll use food as bait," Naminé said.
"Then, it looks like you'll need our help in doing it," Sora said.
"I have a feeling this isn't going to go well for the Gligar," Kairi said.
"I think you're right, Kairi. Just in case, I will use my own Gliscor to lead the Gligar, because something tells me that Paul just thinks in himself just like he did in the Hearthome Tag Tournament when he was focused in defeating for me revenge, therefore he only thinks in catching Gliscor just to satisfy his hunger for power without caring what could happen to the other Gligar when the Gliscor leading them is captured," Sora explained. He took out his Pokémon Box and exchanged Staravia for Gliscor.
After deciding to lend a hand to help, they tracked the Gliscor and Gligar to an abandoned building they have taken refuge in. And it was when Riku took out some fruit and placed them inside a capsule and threw it inside through a window, grabbing their attention. Seeing the capule burst opened, the Gligar began to come down and eat up the fruit inside the fruit, but hearing something outside, the Gligar have flown over to the window, except for one. Gliscor looked out the window and saw a huge truckful of fruit. The Gliscor and Gligar started to go after the fruit, leaving the one Gligar when it realized it was left behind once again and flew off after the others to follow. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel rode in the truck along with Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. Nurse Joy was using her laptop to keep tabs on the wind current as Officer Jenny is behind the wheel
"They're going for it," Kairi said.
"We just have to keep them on our tails long enough for us to have them blown back to the forest," Sora said.
Just when things were going as according to plan, the truck has hit a flat tire.
"No, no, no! Not now!" Officer Jenny said.
"Oh, this can't be good," Sora said. The truck has come to a complete stop as the Gliscor and Gligar started to wolf down the fruit as fast as they grabbed it. The lone Gligar was late for the party, so it joined in the feeding frenzy despite being late.
"So much for that plan," Kairi said. The wind then blew as the Gliscor and Gligar have flown off while that one Gligar is still eating until it realized it was left again, and took off.
"Hey, isn't that the same Gligar that crashed into Lucas earlier?" Sora asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"I think so. There's no denying he's the same one," Kairi said. Sora's Rotom Phone rings, so he took his Rotom Phone and saw it was Riku calling him. Sora answered.
"Sora, what's taking so long? You should be here by now," Riku said.
"Well, things have hit a big snag when the truck got caught with a flat tire, but they took off again when the wind kicked up again," Sora said.
"That wind isn't exactly making things easy for us," Riku said.
"Tell me about. But you might as well head our way just so we can make up a plan," Sora said.
"On our way," Riku said, breaking contact.
Up above, Paul looked down at the truck, seeing Gliscor taking off in the wind.
Meanwhile, over to Count Ernesh's mansion, Count Ernesh stood before Insidious to make his report regarding Kanako.
"My Master, I apologize for disturbing you, but I feel it is a matter that must have your attention," Count Ernesh said.
"And what is it that is so important for you to enter without being summoned by myself?" Insidious asked.
"It is regarding one of my apprentices, Kanako. Loki has reported to me that she has allied herself with the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. I gave no such order for her to infiltrate them, but I feel it is disturbing," Count Ernesh said.
"How unfortunate Kanako has betrayed us. I cannot doubt it was when you have sent Kanako to track down Riku's movements just when he was seeking guidance from your and Loki's former Master," Insidious said.
"Master Tyr. And I do agree it was unforfunate, because she has shown so much promise to us, as Riku would have been if she was successful. And as her former master, I feel it must be my obligation to deal with her," Count Ernesh said.
"And not allow your other apprentices to do so, my apprentice?" Insidious asked.
"Lucius and Silver Moon's experience is insufficient compared to Kanako since she has been under my tutelage far longer than they. Not only that, but she is more powerful than any of the others currently learning under me, so I have a much better chance than they do," Count Ernesh said.
"That you do, Ernesh. There is no doubt that you have taught her well," Insidious said.
"Yes, but I did not teach her everything, and will be more than an advantage for me," Count Ernesh said.
"Perhaps, but be wary, because her powers have been growing stronger with passing day. But she is not to be your only concern. Your main concern are the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. Even a single misplacement of judgement can prove to be your undoing," Insidious said, warning the count.
"I do not have any delusion of invincibility, Master, but I am more than a match for my former apprentice, as well as the other Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. They will share her fate when I do see them," Count Ernesh said.
"I hope so," Insidious said.
"I will depart for Sinnoh at once," Count Ernesh said. He bowed his head in respect. "I will report to you regularly, Master."
"I know you will," Insidous said as Count Ernesh took his leave of his master.
All around the city, the Gliscor and the Gligar were grabbing food from all over the markets, and all from people enjoying their picnics and lunches and eating it.
"That Gliscor and those Gligar are wrecking havoc from every corner. Nobody won't be able to turn around without running into one!" Sora said.
"We know we gotta get them all out and back to the forest, but the problem is, it's like we can make a powerful wind spell to blow them all out all at once," Lucas said. Kanako then gets an idea.
"Wait, maybe we can!" Kanako said. They all looked at Kanako, curious about what she has in mind.
"What's your idea, Kanako?" Dawn asked.
"Think about it, you guys. What if working together, we manage to cast a powerful wind spell which will blow them all away at once. But we must cast that spell all at the same time in order for it to work," Kanako said.
"You sure about that, Kanako?" Lucas asked.
"Well, it's one of the things I've learned while I was learning under Count Ernesh's teachings, so I figure that his teachings would be used for good instead of evil," Kanako said.
"I think that's a solid plan, Kanako. But we're gonna have to lure in a wide place where we will be able to get all of them at once," Sora said.
"And how are going to get them there?" Lucas asked.
"I did think of that. I was thinking of the Pokémon Center roof. But I think I will need Kairi's help for it because she has a high amount of magical energy than some of you," Kanako said.
"I'll be sure to help out anyway I can," Kairi said.
"Then, we're gonna have to lure them right here to for two to cast the wind spell. And we just need the right kind of bait," Sora said.
"And that would be...?" Naminé asked.
"With some of the food we got left. Same plan, different tactic," Sora said
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Let's go," Riku said.
With that said, Sora, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup left to find the GLiscor and Gligar, leaving Kairi and Kanako behind to get into position for the wind spell.
Meanwhile, Paul along with his Weavile found Gliscor and grinned.
"Found you again! Weavile! Ice Beam!" Paul ordered. Weavile fired an Ice Beam, but the Fang Scorpion Pokémon uses the wind to dodge and the Gligar following him ends up being frozen. He grits his teeth in frustration, having to miss his intended target. "Blizzard! Now!" Weavile fired a Blizzard right at Gliscor, but the Fang Scorpion Pokémon unleashed a Sandstorm to block Weavile's Blizzard after firing it. The sand melts the ice off of the Gligar and they flew to their leader, all except for that one Gligar. They all flew into the alley. "Hold on!" As he and Weavile went after them.
"Look! It's that same Gligar from before!" Lucas said.
"How can you tell?" Riku asked. Gligar does the thing with its tongue.
"I just know it. This is the same one who landed right on me when we first met," Lucas said.
"Then, where are the others?" Naminé asked. The wind blows again and Gligar rides in it.
"Follow it Gliscor has to be down there!" Sora said.
With that said, the followed the lone Gligar. Uphead, Paul is still chasing after Gliscor. Paul took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Metang! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out. His Pokéball opened and his Metang came out from inside. "Weavile! Ice Beam! Metang! Flash Cannon!" Gliscor grabs on to a side of a building. Gliscor gave the orders to swarm all around Metang and Weavile, so the Fly Scorpion Pokémon flew around in the wind, making it difficult for Paul's two Pokémon. "Keep focused! Metang! Meteor Mash!" Metang lands a Meteor Mash on the Gligar. Gliscor came back with a vengeance with an X-Scissor, so Gliscor sends Metang back with Weavile and Paul. Sora, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup followed the lone Gligar into the alley.
"There's Gliscor! Get the food out!" Sora said. With that said, they got out some candy and some fruit for the Gliscor and Gligar. Eyeing the food, Gliscor started to fly toward them. "That's it! Come and get it!" Just then, a combined Ice Beam and Flash Cannon struck Gliscor on the mark, making them exclaim in shock.
"Now what?!" Riku asked. Gliscor fell to the ground as Paul took out a Pokéball and threw it. Gliscor flowed inside the Pokéball, making it wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "Why did you do that?" Paul just ignored him. "Hey, I asked you a question!" Paul picked up the Pokéball and scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
"This Gliscor could be useful, so I'll keep it," Paul said.
"Hey, what about all those Gligar, Paul?" Lucas asked.
"I don't care about them," Paul said.
"What'd you say?!" Lucas snarled.
The one Gligar started to fly right at Paul, intending to attack him.
"Meteor Mash!" Paul ordered. Metang lands a Meteor Mash, hitting it, so Lucas caught Gligar in his arms. He called both Metang and Weavile back. "I'm gone." He takes his leave of the alley.
"You-!" Lucas was stopped by Sora.
"Let him go! He's not worth it," Sora said
"But what about all the Gligar?" Lucas asked as the Gligar are going in a frenzy.
"Without Gliscor calling the shots, they're lost and confused," Dawn said.
"Well, I got just the thing," Sora said, taking out his Pokéball and threw it. "Gliscor! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Gliscor came out. Lucas and Dawn were amazed.
"Wow, you got you your own Gliscor, Sora?" Lucas asked.
"Caught him as a Gligar in Johto. It's a good thing I was prepared for this. I figured my Gliscor could help out," Sora said.
"That's good thinking, Sora," Naminé said.
"Gliscor! Tell the Gligar to follow you to the Pokémon Center! They'll listen to you!" Sora said.
"Gliscor," Gliscor said. With that said, some of the Gligar complied with Gliscor, but there were others weren't so sure, but the one Gligar convinced them to come along. And it worked.
Over to the Pokémon Center, Kairi, Kanako, and Angel stood on the roof and they see the swarm of Gligar coming their way.
"I see them. And that Gliscor is with them," Kanako said. Kairi looked at Gliscor and she instantly knew.
"That's Sora's Gliscor!" Kairi said.
"How do you know?" Kanako asked.
"I know because I was with Sora when he caught him as a Gligar. Paul must have caught that Gliscor, so he had his Gliscor brought over to him," Kairi said.
"Well, whatever the case, we have to cast that wind spell as soon as they're close enough," Kanako said.
"Right," Kairi said.
They waited for the Gligar to come closer. Gliscor sees Kairi and he nodded, knowing what she was going to do. Gliscor leads them close enough to the girls as Gliscor dove down. Kairi and Kanako quickly summoned their Keyblades and they held them in front.
"WIND!" Kairi and Kanako shouted. They both cast the wind spell, blowing the Gligar in the opposite direction. The magical wind was strong enough to blow them all back and right into the forest, and the Gligar flew right into the trees.
"And there they go," Kairi said.
"Don't be so sure, Kairi. There's some that we missed. Let's try again," Kanako said.
"Right," Kairi agreed.
"Wind!" Kairi and Kanako shouted as they cast the same spell, blowing the magical wind in the direction of the forest. The lone Gligar then snagged onto a nearby tree as the rest of the were blown into the forest.
"And that's all of them," Kanako said.
"I gotta hand it to you, Kanako, that was actually a great idea. I'm so glad you came to our side," Kairi said. Kanako smiled, knowing she felt welcomed. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Eevee, Azurill, Piplup, Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny came to the roof as Kairi and Kanako dismissed their Keyblades.
"It looks like you did it," Sora said as Gliscor came to Sora's side.
"Yeah, thanks to Kanako," Kairi said.
"I don't know what you girls did, but at least things are back to normal," Officer Jenny said.
"Yes. Thank you," Nurse Joy said. Just then, Gligar saw Lucas and crashed right on Lucas.
"Ow! Where did you learn how to fly?" Lucas asked. Gligar got off of Lucas.
"I don't get it? Why didn't this one go back with the others?" Dawn asked.
"I think I have an idea. I think he likes Lucas," Kairi said.
"Huh? Who does?" Kanako asked.
"Gligar, who else?" Kairi asked.
"What? Gligar likes me?" Lucas asked.
"Gli," Gligar said, doing his tongue thing.
"And I think Gligar has chosen you to be his new Trainer, Lucas," Riku said.
"You think so?" Lucas asked.
"I know so," Riku said.
"Yeah, it's only fair that you make it official," Sora said. Lucas smiled at that.
"I guess you're right," Lucas said, taking out a Pokéball and held it. "How about it, Gligar? How you like to hang with us for now on?"
"Gligar!" Gligar beamed. Lucas threw the Pokéball. The Fly Scorpion Pokémon flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Lucas's Pokémon Box goes off and it askes him if he wants to keep his new Gligar with him. He chose to keep his new Gligar in exchange for Houndour.
Over to Count Ernesh's mansion, he departs for the Sinnoh region in his own private jet. The jet then took flight. Count Ernesh's hunt for Kanako has begun.
Back in Sinnoh, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Kanako, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup have taken their leave and continued on their way to Veilstone City. How will Sora fare in his upcoming Gym battle? And how will Sora, Kairi, and their friends be able to handle Count Ernesh's skills as a Keyblade wielder? The answers will come as we continue on with the journey.
