Those Obnoxious Ghosts
Chapter 20: Danny vs Lum
Sam and Tucker had left Fenton Works. As did Danny, to blow off some steam as Danny Phantom. Now, they were at the Nasty Burger.
Tucker was eating a mighty meaty cheese melt, while Sam was barely touching her salad.
"Something on your mind, Sam?..."Tucker asked.
"I'm just worried about Danny. I really hope that those gadgets work if that princess shows her smug face again. We both know that she's the really persistent type..."Sam said as she unknowingly stabbed a tomato in anger.
Tucker rolled his eyes.
"Relax, Sam. Danny already tested those alien hunting gadgets, so he should be fine..."The techno-geek said to lighten the mood.
"Still...now I'm wondering what else is going to happen with all this alien stuff being added to our already full plate of ghost troubles..."Sam said, knowing things won't be easy for a while.
"You said it. We just got used to dealing with the supernatural and now we've got some sci-fi stuff into the mix. As much as I am a major fan of Sci-Fi, even I have to admit that this is all nuts..."Tucker said.
"No kidding. Still, I know that if I ever get the chance, I'd definitely test out all those new gadgets on a real alien, specifically on Lum..."Sam said as she "accidentally" crushed her spork in her hands.
Tucker sighed.
"I figured you'd say something like that eventually, just remember not to do anything that will make her dad change his mind about invading..."He reminded Sam as she sighed.
"I hate that you're right about that..."The goth girl grumbled.
"Chill, Sam. Danny's already managed to kick her out. Besides, Mr. and Mrs. F's gizmo's always helped before. I'm sure he'll be fine and even if he runs into that super hot and crazy alien princess again..."Tucker said, feeling positive that his best friend can handle that alien girl.
"Did you really have to call her the first part?..."Sam asked in annoyance while Tucker shrugged.
"Hey, she might be annoying but her being hot is still true. But I'll admit that she's got a few bad quirks that could definitely be a deal breaker for most guys...even for me..."Tucker said as he recalled everything that Danny went through.
"Boys..."Sam said with an eye roll. "At least you admit that she's not someone to take home to meet your parents..."She muttered.
"Even if I tried, she's still hung up on Danny and if not him, she'll probably eventually go back to that ex-boyfriend of hers. And if not, then I'd feel sorry for some other poor unfortunate soul that's unlucky enough to get her attention. Cause if that happens, that super unlucky guy will get the shock of a lifetime..."Tucker said.
"Especially if Lum keeps thinking electrocuting everything isn't a big deal..."Sam said in bitterness while her friend nodded.
"Yeah. Plus, after seeing what she cooks, I don't think there's a human on this planet who could survive being Lum's boyfriend and Danny is the only exception because of his powers..."Tucker said, shuddering as he recalled one of Lum's "cuisines" she made before Danny kicked her out of his house.
"I'll say...that toxic nightmare she calls food and her so-called games are definitely not of this world. I still have major doubts that stuff is even remotely suitable for humans..."Sam said, doubting there is a single human on this planet who could even SURVIVE such things without having superpowers.
Meanwhile
In Japan
Ataru Moroboshi was at school right now. He was currently trying to get Shinobu's attention away from Mendo, who was the center of all the girl's attention.
Again.
"Shinobu, come on! Let's go see a movie together after school?..."Ataru insisted.
"Ataru, you know full well that we need to study for the oncoming test at the end of the week in our class. So, my answer is still no..."Shinobu said as she gave him the cold shoulder.
Mostly because she saw him ogling some of the other female students earlier and she was still angry about that. Her old friend and ex-boyfriend remained oblivious and kept pestering her.
"There's always going to be a test in our class. Just like how Mendo is always carrying around that sword of his, like a freak..."Ataru whined, getting an annoyed look from his rival.
"What's the matter, Ataru-kun? Does the sword on my back still intimidate you?..."Mendo said in a snobby manner, while his rival got angry again.
Ataru glared at him and would have yelled, but he then just sneezed and felt a cold shiver run up his spine.
"Are you alright, Ataru-kun?..."Shinobu asked her old friend and semi ex-boyfriend.
"I'm fine. I think that someone might be talking about me. Might be a cute girl..."Ataru said, really hoping it was some cute girl talking about him.
"If that's true, then it must be one of my other fans discussing about that time I nearly cut your generic plain looking face with my sword..."Mendo said in a pompous way as Ataru glared at him.
"Who are you calling plain looking? You cliche pretty boy?..."Ataru snapped at him, ready to pick a fight with him.
"SHUT UP, YOU GENERIC PLAIN LOOKING BOY!..."One of Mendo's fangirls yelled at him.
Ataru steps back a few steps to immediately get out of the fangirls arm range in order not to get beaten up by them.
"Girls. Relax. One sword won't keep this casanova away from all of you or any other pretty girls forever..."Ataru said in a usual way, which was met with annoyance by his fellow classmates.
Especially the girls.
"Ataru...such an idiot..."Shinobu muttered as she watched her childhood friend keep making a fool of himself.
Back in America
With Danny and Lum
There was silence for a moment. Each pair of eyes met. One looked smug yet lovestruck, while another just looked angry.
"Unbelievable. So, you're actually back. And here I was hoping you'd actually see reason and go back to your home planet..." He said, frowning.
"Of course, I am back. A good and loyal wife always comes back to her husband's side after a long trip..." Lum said in a cheery way.
Danny frowned as he eyed what she was now wearing.
Instead of her usual striped bikini, she was now wearing some sort of jumpsuit that was high tech in appearance. Unlike Val's ghost hunting gear, Lum was with notable large pockets on the sides of her hips and thighs too, as well as an unfamiliar device that was strapped to her hip. The suit also had a pair of large gauntlets, and the alien girl was also wearing a helmet that at least helped conceal her identity a bit. However, there were tiger stripes on it and notable horn shaped spikes on her helmet too. Needless to say, Lum must have added her own personal touch to the suit she is currently wearing.
"Like my new outfit, Darling? I think that it suits me..."Lum said as she then struck a pose and sent him a flirty look.
Danny was not amused.
"I see that Vlad is still doing whatever he can to mess with my personal life. He's still a total fruitloop.."Danny said, seeing that his arch-foe is still manipulating more people into being his pawns in his crazy mind game of chess.
Lum seemed surprised.
"How did you know that I received this gift from a man named Vlad?..."She asked, surprised that he already knew about that.
Not wanting to rat out Ten, the ghost boy just kept sending her a cold glare.
"Not telling. You are aware that he's my arch enemy and a major fruitloop. Lum, I don't like you but that guy is bad news and he's not someone you want as a friend. So, I highly recommend you ditch that junk he gave you and go home before you get yourself in trouble. Trust me, nothing good ever happens when Vlad is involved..." Danny said as he tried to warn her.
Lum frowned, but didn't seem to care.
"Well, I am aware from your computer files that you and this Vlad may not have a good relationship but-..." Lum began, and Danny got mad once he heard that.
"YOU LOOKED AT MY PRIVATE GHOST FILES?! How'd you get the password?!..." Danny demanded, looking furious right now.
"That computer of yours was so simple it wasn't that hard to override it..." Lum said with a shrug, like it was no big deal.
"Note to self, get Tucker to fix my computer and wipe out any changes Lum might have made..." Danny thought, before he went back to yelling at the alien girl who was also his stalker.
"Also, why the heck did you even go through my computer files in the first place?! What the heck is wrong with you?!..."The ghost boy yelled at her.
"I had to make sure you weren't cheating on me with floozies and being unfaithful..." Lum said, as if that made it okay.
The ghost boy heard this and felt another migraine form.
"So, this is what Jazz meant when she researched about the psychology of people's paranoia and toxic relationships..." Danny said, feeling angry that Lum went through his computer without his knowledge.
"Paranoid?! Toxic?! How dare you?!..." Lum yelled, looking offended when he said that.
The ghost boy, however, just continued to yell at her.
"I'm the one who should be mad here! Not only did you stoop as low enough to snoop through my stuff and violate my privacy again, but now you are teaming up with my arch enemy, even knowing what a piece of trash he is!..." Danny yelled at her.
Lum frowned but tried to explain her reasons for her actions, even if she was aware it may be a little extreme.
"While I do not approve of your enemy being interested in a married woman, he seemed very sincere, and his gifts seem to be very useful. He said that he is trying to help us with her marriage problems, so he can't be that bad. I am sure that once we settle our issues, we can learn to become a happy family like we should be..."Lum said, already envisioning a future happy marriage with at least half a dozen children in the future.
Danny, however, knew that Vlad would do no such thing without an ulterior motive that benefited himself. He also refused to let Lum continue with her antics.
"We do NOT have marriage problems since we are NOT married! And we are definitely NOT a family, Lum! You're just a delusion, bratty princess with zero boundaries and who's living in a fantasy world! Just wake up already and get lost!..."Danny said, glaring at her.
The alien princess glared at him.
"1! 2! 3! DIVINE RETRIBUTION!..."Lum yelled at him, as she fired electricity at him.
Just like last time, Danny blocked it with each with his ecto-shield and just glared at her.
"You know that's not gonna work anymore. Your lightning has no effect on me anymore..."He reminded her.
"Then maybe this will!..."Lum said as she pulled out something that vaguely resembled a curling iron, though it had stripes on it.
"What's that? A curling iron, is this really the best time for you to work on your hair right now?..." Danny mocked.
Lum just fired it and as it heats up, the curling iron-like device began glowing with energy. Once it was fully charged Lum fired the charged up energy and shot it at the half ghost boy, but Danny managed to dodge it.
The two superpowered teens continued their fight, Danny deflected her lightning attacks and her strange gadgets, while Lum was starting to lose her temper.
"Hold still!..." Lum demanded.
"As if!..." Danny said, as he kept avoiding it since he figured that if it was from Vlad or Lum, it can't be good.
"Relax Fenton, don't get too distracted and focus on evading the blasts of...whatever device Vlad gave her. There's no telling what will happen if I get hit by it in this fight..." Danny thought, as he kept on dodging and shielding himself from Lum's new gadget.
"I have to break this stalemate. Looks like I'll have to try a different tactic this time around..."Lum thought to herself in the midst of a fight with her beloved.
The alien princess sent the ghost boy a cheeky smile, before she sent him a challenging look.
"Hmph...it doesn't have to be this way, Darling..." Lum arrogantly looked down on him before crossing her arms. "But...I'll be lenient...If I win...you will have to marry me..."She declared.
"And if I win?..." Danny said, his lack of trust was evident in his tone of voice.
"The same...think of it as a win-win..." Lum said as her expression grew smug as she extended her arm out as if expecting him to take her hand.
"...Think again!..." Danny flatly turned down the offer.
Before Lum could get upset, Danny suddenly got close enough to push her further into the air. Disoriented for a moment, Lum's fists were at her side as she snarled in anger.
"Wait, what?! What do you mean think again?!..."She yelled as she had her legs do a stomping motion, despite that there was no ground for her to stomp on.
"If you want me to spell it out for you, then I will. Being with you is NO reward, Lum. Stop being a spoiled brat and just go home to your parents already!..." Danny added.
"Spoiled brat?!..." Lum shouted, looking offended.
"You heard me! And the only thing that is going to happen is that I'm going to win this fight, and you are going back to your home planet and leaving me alone for good!..." He said as he sent ghost rays at her.
"DARLING! YOU IDIOT!..."Lum shouted as her temper made her lose reason again.
The alien princess then began to fire and wildly shot electricity from her and blasts of energy from her curling iron in her brief tantrum.
Danny saw the alien princess was shooting her attacks wildly and quickly tried to shield the town from any unnecessary damages. It wasn't easy, but the half ghost boy had to protect his hometown from the space princess's attacks, much to Lum's surprise.
"How did you manage to defend yourself from all of my attacks, Darling? Not even the best oni warriors back planet Uru could've defended against every single attack. I guess you really are one of a kind..."Lum said, confused but also impressed.
"I wasn't trying to protect myself, I was protecting the rest of my hometown from you, you lunatic! Geez, didn't anyone ever teach you something called self-control!..." Danny snapped at her, wondering how her parents raised her to be like this.
Meanwhile
On Lum's Home Planet
Unaware of what was happening on Earth, Lum's parents were in the middle of having dinner together.
As always Lum's mother had served a large feast for herself and her husband, while Lum's father was scarfing down all the food he could get his hands on.
"Delicious! Your cooking is as tasty as ever, my love!..."Lum's father said after he ate a large, alien drumstick in one bite.
However, his wife had a thoughtful look on her face as she stared out the window. Something her husband noticed as he went to get thirds.
"Something wrong, Dear?..."Mr. Invader asked.
"Oh, I'm just thinking about Lum. It's been over a week since her last transition. I hope that she's okay..."His wife said, concerned about their only child.
Her husband just had a nonchalant look on his face.
"I'm sure that Lum is fine, Dear. Remember that she's a married woman now and she's probably having quite the adventure. Besides, according to her, her new husband is very strong and powerful, so I'm sure that she'll be fine..."Mr. Invader said, as he kept eating.
"You sure?..."His wife asked.
"Yeah, I had my men investigate this Danny Phantom some more, and apparently he has power and some impressive weaponry at his disposal too. So, I know our daughter is in good hands..."Mr. Invader said.
"I suppose so..."His wife said.
"Yeah, I'm sure those lovebirds are still being all lovey dovey with each other even as we speak, just like we were back in the old days..."Mr. Invader said with a smile, as he recalled memories from his early days of marriage with his wife.
His wife sent him a loving smile, before her husband then grabbed several more plates of food from the table.
"But since Lum isn't here to eat her portion of your delicious cooking, I eat it on her behalf..."He said as he gulped down all his food in one bite, much to his wife's annoyance.
"You can be such a glutton at times, dear husband!..."Mrs. Invader complained, as she began to berate her husband, who seemed confused now as he kept eating.
Back on Earth
The battle between Danny and Lum continued. And Lum still wasn't giving up.
"Ya know, I'm pretty sure I've met mules that were less stubborn than you. At least they occasionally listen to people!..."Danny snarked at her.
Lum's face turned red in anger as she knew what Earth creature he was referring to and felt insulted.
"How dare you compare me to a donkey?!..."She snapped at him.
"You make it too easy, Princess Pain-in-the-neck!..."Danny said with a frown, wanting to end this fight now.
Lum sent him a glare, her temper acting up again.
"I didn't want to do this... but..."Lum paused as she flew in closer and summoned an item to her hand.
"What're y-..."
Danny didn't finish as he was hit in the chest with a familiar object, one that made him hiss in pain before he fell to the ground. As he did, his powers suddenly shut off. Looking up, he saw what she was holding and read its label.
"The...Plasmius Maximus?..." He asks in disbelief, while Lum now had a smirk on her face.
It seems that the new gadget was based on one of Vlad's old ones, just with a new paint job and a new design.
"That ugly vampire guy gave it to me. At first, I wasn't sure what this was for and thought this was a curling iron...then he explained to me, and I realized I had the means to finally make you mine! Unfortunately, I still am having trouble figuring out how it works, but according to this, I just managed to take your powers away for a few minutes, which is more than enough time that I need. ..." Lum declared, as she approached him and prematurely celebrated her presumed victory over him.
Unfortunately for her, Danny had his own secret weapons as well.
"That's what you think..."The ghost boy said, as he pulled out what looked like a pen.
"What are you going to do? Sign an apology letter to me?..." Lum, thinking he was powerless, scoffed.
"Nope..." Danny then fires a beam at her, which causes Lum to be sent back.
"AAAAAUUUUGGGHHH!..."Lum screamed as she was hit with a blast and soon crashed into a wall.
To her shock, she actually felt strange. She felt funny...like something was off.
"W-What was that?..." Lum demanded, as she tried to get up but still felt funny and a bit heavy.
She tried to float, but gasped once she realized she couldn't. She tried again, but was horrified to see that she could no longer fly. She also tried to use her lightning powers, but was also unable to do that as well.
"What?! What the heck was that?! What did you do?!..."She exclaimed, and Danny was amused by the shocked look on her face.
"You're not the only one who got a present. Just a little something from my parents. According to them this is supposed to take away your power for at least an hour...which is 59 minutes more than I need..." Danny said with a smirk.
"Your parents? How...I...I thought they didn't know about-..." Lum began asking but was cut off by the half ghost boy.
"My parents might not know about this situation...but they made it very clear that they hate you almost as much as I do..." Danny said, while Lum gasped in horror.
"What?! They hate me?!..."Lum shouted, horrified that her "in-laws" apparently hate her.
"Duh..."Danny said like it was obvious, while the alien girl refused to accept this.
Elsewhere
With Jack and Maddie
Danny's parents were in the lab. They were still working on their ghost hunting equipment, along with some more anti-alien gadgets too. However, Jack suddenly sneezed.
"Bless you, Honey..."Maddie said.
"Thanks, Baby cakes. Anyway, can you hand me that wrench please?..."Jack asked.
Maddie was about to do so, only to sneeze too.
"Gesundheit..."Jack said, before he sneezed again.
As did his wife, and now they were becoming concerned.
"Geez, I sure hope that we're not coming down with another case of contamination from negative ghost energy..."Jack said, as he sniffled.
"Let's check to make sure..."Maddie said, as she began to examine him and herself.
"I sure hope that the kids don't come down with this too, especially Danny. He finally started to cheer up again after we gave him all those anti-alien weapons..."She said in a worried tone.
"No worries, Sweetheart. Danny is a Fenton man and he seemed pretty chipper earlier. I'm sure that he'll be fine and if not, we'll just be there for him in embarrassing ways until he gets better..."Jack said cheerfully, while his wife smiled at the idea and continued checking both of their vitals.
Both Fenton parents continued with their antics, unaware of their son's fight with Lum right now, or the fact that the alien hunting gear was actually being used right now.
Back with Danny and Lum
Lum just heard what her "Darling" had just said and was horrified as she tried to deny it.
"You're lying! Just because you won't let me meet them, doesn't mean they hate me!..."The alien girl shouted at him, refusing to accept the idea that she could possibly be hated by her in-laws.
The ghost boy rolled his eyes and decided to spell it out for her.
"Wake up Lum! You zapped me with 100 volts of electricity right in front of them at the tag race! Of course they'd hate you! What parents wouldn't?!..." Danny challenged her beliefs, doubting any parents in the world WOULD tolerate having Lum for a daughter-in-law after witnessing something like that.
In Japan
Ataru's parents were in the middle of their living room right now. Mr. Moroboshi had just returned home from work and was currently reading the paper while Mrs. Moroboshi was doing some chores. Their son Ataru wasn't here. He had gone "dating" and hasn't been back since.
Suddenly, the two sneezed.
"Bless you, Dear..."Mr. Moroboshi said to his wife, who looked annoyed by something.
"Someone must be gossiping about us again. Darn it..."Mrs. Moroboshi muttered, thinking her son was causing trouble again.
"I just hope that Ataru isn't causing trouble again. We're still paying off our mortgage..."Mr. Moroboshi said nervously, while his wife frowned in bitterness.
"I just hope that whoever it is, isn't spreading weird rumors about us again..."His wife said, already in a bad mood.
"That hopeless son of mine..."Both parents thought in sync before resuming what they were doing earlier.
Back in Amity Park
Lum heard what Danny just said and tried to deny all of it. She was so distraught by what Danny just told her, that she briefly forgot about her "mission" and became hysterical.
"What?! No! Your parents can't hate me! I know that you're wrong! I know that I can be the perfect daughter in law if-..."Lum was cut off when the ghost boy impatiently spoke up as he saw an opportunity while she was frantic.
"Blab blab blab! Just shut up and go home already. And I mean your home planet. Thankfully, this will take you at least part of the way there..." Danny said as he pressed another button on a device that he got from his parents.
Soon, Lum disappeared. Danny smiled, before he admired the new gadget that his mother and father invented.
According to them, it was supposed to immobilize aliens by halting their movements and then teleport them inside an untested cage at the basement lab. However, he and his friends tested it out and discovered that it instead just teleported things FAR, FAR away. Several lightyears far away to be precise but Danny didn't see the need to let them know about that little design flaw since he figured it was better this way.
"Way to go, Mom and Dad..." He said, feeling glad.
However, it was short lived as he had a feeling Lum would be back again, and soon. He also knew that a certain archenemy of his was up to no good again.
"He really can't just resist the urge of making my life a big headache, can he?..." Danny thought as he went to go deal with him next.
Meanwhile
Unknown to Danny and Lum, Ten watched the entire battle from a nearby rooftop. He witnessed the fight, all the yelling, insults and hostility between two of the people he admired most.
The little alien child felt many sad feelings right now. He saw his favorite cousin and his hero fight, and now Lum was gone. However, from what Danny said, he just teleported her somewhere, he didn't destroy her.
"At least he kept his promise. I better go find Lum..."Ten said, as he flew back to the UFO since he knew he had to go find his cousin.
Wherever she is.
With Lum
The alien girl soon found herself on the ground, basically crashing onto it.
"Ow!..." She complained, as she got up.
She tried to float but couldn't, seeing that strange device is still in effect. The alien girl got angry and started to complain.
"That was very rude, Darl-..." She stopped once she saw he was no longer here with her.
"Huh? Where did Darling go?..." Lum asked out loud, as she checked her surroundings.
She could see that she was no longer in Amity Park or even on Earth right now. She was now on some strange and barren planet and saw that there were lots of space rocks across this planet too.
The alien princess frowned, not liking this. Lum pulled out one of her gadgets and soon gasped once she saw where she was.
"SATURN?! DARLING SENT ME TO SATURN?!..." She yelled, as she was utterly confused on how she was on Earth one minute ago and is now on Saturn of all places.
Such technology was not even possible for a lot of aliens to obtain and only people like her father could have access to such technology due to his position, and there was no way a mere earthling could have access to such high tech like that...but apparently her wayward husband's parents somehow got their hands on it and managed to figure out how it worked.
The alien princess tried to find one of her own gadgets to get out of here, but to her shock, they were low on power and even with a solar battery, it will take a while before they were functional again.
The alien princess got angry and started screaming.
"DARLING YOU IDIOT!..." Lum yelled, before she started saying some colorful rants in her native language.
Lum was so angry right now that and as soon as her powers returned to her, she even let out all her anger in a loud shout and in a burst of large wave of electricity from her body. The aftermath of her outburst left a small crater where she was standing, not quite visible from space but was enough of an energy spike to be tracked down a certain younger space oni to find.
However, Lum's outburst also did some damage to her brand suit with small burn marks on it, not that she cared or noticed right now.
Back on Earth
In Japan
Cherry was in the middle of walking towards a convenience store with his niece, before he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.
"Huh! What's this?!..."He said, gulping and shivering a bit.
"What is it, Uncle?..."His niece, Sakura, asked the monk whose face looked drained.
"I sense a dark and angry presence. Almost as if it were echoing across the stars itself..."Cherry said.
"Does it have anything to do with that Moroboshi boy? Or that Mendo kid?..."Sakura asked, since those guys always cause trouble.
"No. I sense that it's far away. Not even on this world to be more precise..."Cherry said.
"What do you mean?..."Sakura asked, sounding confused now.
"Not sure, but we should remain vigilant. Still, we'd best watch over that cursed family..."The monk said.
"Do we have too?..."His niece asked, sounding annoyed about that.
Her uncle just sent her a flat look.
"We have no choice, bad luck does attract danger and knowing them, it won't be long before that dark presence crosses paths with them too. Maybe..."Cherry said, though he wasn't 100 percent sure to be honest.
Sakura thought about it and sighed.
"You're probably right. Knowing their luck, they'll find some way to offend that dark presence and cause trouble for everyone else too..."Sakura muttered, before she went back to her errands with her uncle.
All the while, the monk looked up at the sky, feeling apprehensive about the future now.
However, he suddenly felt his stomach rumbling, as did his niece's.
"Perhaps it is best we go warn that cursed family as soon as possible...before dinner time ends to be more precise..."Cherry suggested, having his own motives to do this, not that he'd ever admit it out loud.
Knowing what he meant and also feeling hungry, Sakura nodded.
"Right..."She said, as they went to go "warn" them.
Back in Amity Park
Vlad Masters was currently in his home, having watched the battle between Lum and Danny on his big screen TV.
Needless to say, he was disappointed.
"Such a pity. You'd think a princess of a hostile race would have put up more of a fight, especially after I gave her all those gadgets..."Vlad said, frowning as he tried to think of another way to use that alien for his plants.
"Maybe I should have showed her how to actually use the Plasmius Maximus instead of just giving a brief recap. Oh well, live and learn..."He thought, not really caring about what happens to that princess.
The villain was about to go back to his evil plots. Soon an ectoblast hit one of his windows, leaving a gaping hole and someone soon appeared.
"PLASMIUS!..." Danny shouted, as he was now inside.
Vlad saw him and frowned.
"Really, Daniel? Ever heard of knocking? And even if you planned on trespassing on my property, have you forgotten you can go intangible?..."The villain said, angry about the damage his young enemy left.
Danny just glared at him.
"After the latest stunt you just pulled, be grateful I didn't aim for your head! And I just might do that now! Now leave Lum alone and don't involve her in your schemes again!..." He yelled at his archenemy who now had a nonchalant look on his face.
"Oh...now what ever could you possibly mean, Daniel?..."Vlad asked in a faux clueless voice.
"Stop acting dumb! If you can help it..." Danny said and Vlad sent him an annoyed look at that. "I ran into Lum today...and she had your "presents" with her..." He said, using air quotes.
"Ah, yes. That young alien princess that you play tag with to save the Earth from an Alien Invasion not too long ago. Oh, where are my manners...thank you so much for saving all of us by the way..."Vlad said sarcastically in a faux grateful way, which got on Danny's nerves.
"Stop patronizing me, ya psycho! And why the heck are you even talking to her in the first place?!..." Danny demanded, wondering what his foe is up to this time.
"Firstly, because she's trouble for you and that's always fun for me..."Vlad said with a smirk, while his enemy sent him a glare.
"And second, I see nothing wrong with having her as an ally. In fact, she may be so grateful towards me for assisting in her "romantic troubles" that she may even feel the need to repay me for my "kindness" one day. Perhaps even gift me with a spaceship of my very own or offer me somewhere to vacation on their planet...or something like that..."Vlad said, trying to make light of this situation.
Danny rolled his eyes.
"So basically, you just want to make her owe you a favor and make me miserable at the same time...but there is more to it. You're after something else; I know it..."The ghost boy said, since he knew Vlad always had ulterior motives.
"I see your sharper than your grades imply..."Vlad said in a mocking tone. "Let's just say that nowadays, I'm aiming for the stars and what lies beyond them..."The villain said, while his young enemy kept sending him a cold glare.
Danny was tired of Vlad's mind games and just decided to cut to the chase.
"I don't care what you want, Plasmius, but you and Lum leave me alone! I'm sick and tired of the both of you!..."The ghost boy yelled.
"Where's the fun in that? Making unexpected moves in chess is always the best part..."Vlad said with that smug look on his face.
"Manipulating another person into attacking someone on your behalf and watch from the sideline with some popcorn. I'm pretty sure the fact that you do stuff like this and how you don't acknowledge other people's feelings is the real reason why no woman would date you, aside from your pathetic obsession with my mom that you actually named your pet cat after her..."Danny said and barely dodged a blast from the older half-ghost.
"I'll have you know I was quite the ladies' man back in college before your mother stole my heart! Many girls went out of their way to speak with me and even after the accident, I had plenty of ladies vying for my attention, but they are nowhere near as good enough for me like your mother is!..."Vlad said, but the ghost boy knew better.
"Let me guess. Back then they probably just wanted you to help with their homework and after you lied, stole and cheated your way to become rich, a bunch of gold diggers just wanted you for your money and to use the credit cards that "Mrs. Vlad Masters" would get..."Danny accurately guessed.
Vlad flinched but tried to save face.
"N-No. Of course not!..."The villain denied, but Danny raised a brow in suspicion.
"You stuttered just now..."The ghost boy pointed out, sounding unimpressed while his archenemy got defensive again.
"Oh, shut up! What do you know?! You're still far too young to fully understand how real relationships work, Little Badger!..."He said, refusing to admit to these accusations.
"Were they full of both commitments and compromises that often conflict with one another that resulted in some serious decision making? But with you, it was more like many regretful mistakes that were made..." Danny said, hitting a nerve with his older enemy.
"I've made no such mistakes! All women would want someone like me!..."Vlad insisted.
"Were they about to leave their families for you? Or were you just super picky with women that didn't look like your so-called ideal dream woman, AKA my Mom?..."Danny asked in a snarky way.
"At least I didn't do something foolish like get married while I was still too young to pay taxes!..."Vlad snapped as he fired at him again.
"I never married her! She's just delusional and I hate her!...'Danny said as he dodged it.
"At your age, hate and love are practically the same thing..."Vlad scoffed.
"As if you ever even talked to a girl when you were my age, you wacko!..."Danny mocked.
"I've asked out plenty of girls in my high school years, you brat!..."Vlad raised his voice at his younger foe as he sent another attack at him.
Danny deflected it and just rolled his eyes, feeling he already wasted enough time here.
"Whatever. Just stay away from Lum. Believe me when I say that you don't know how troublesome she is. Or the trouble that somehow follows with her..."The Ghost Boy said as he remembers his time with Space Princess.
Danny soon left his manor, while Vlad just kept smirking.
"The little badger is more concerned with that bratty princess than he's willing to admit...or he's just angry at my meddling in his personal life. No matter, once this is all over, I will get everything I want...plus, an extra world to rule over..."The evil half ghost thought in a wicked way, more plans forming in his twisted mind.
"Meow!..."A cat got his attention.
"Oh, don't worry, Maddie. I just got a fresh shipment of your favorite canned tuna this morning..."Vlad said as the feline purred.
The evil villain and his pet soon left, with the fruitloop was already working on his next plan. But first, he was going to feed his pet cat her favorite canned food
Elsewhere
With Danny
The ghost boy had left Vlad's estate and was no win the sky. He sighed, feeling another migraine form.
"Vlad and Lum teaming up. Such a bad combination, but at least Mom and Dad's gadgets helped..."Danny thought, as he quickly sent a text to his friends to let them know what had happened.
Once done, he felt his stomach growling right now.
"Man, I could really go for a burger at Nasty Burger right now..."He thought, feeling a bit hungry after going through all that troublesome stuff earlier.
He soon landed in his neighborhood and changed behind a nearby tree. Danny soon dusted himself off and made his way home to get some extra cash for the Nasty Burger. He was about to walk home but accidentally ran into someone when he was turning the corner, knocking them both down.
"WHOA!..."
"WATCH IT!..."
Danny blinked as he recovered. He got up and soon realized who he ran into.
It was a very pretty girl who was around his age, wearing a really frilly, girly looking dress and what almost looked like a white apron, white leggings, red shoes and he could vaguely smell a fancy perfume. However, the most distinct feature of her is that she has curly PINK, almost magenta colored hair that almost seems to glow and magenta-colored eyes.
For a second, she looked angry but soon it changed to an innocent and confused look.
"Oh, excuse me? I didn't see you walking past me..."The girl said, now sounding quite polite.
Danny blinked but helped her up and apologized for bumping into her.
"Uh...sorry about that. I wasn't watching where I was going either..."He responded.
The girl sent him a smile that seemed a little off and didn't seem all that genuine to him for some reason, but he pretended not to notice.
"Oh, don't apologize. It was my fault. I should have been more aware of my surroundings..."The girl said in a cutesy way and twirled a bit of her hair within her fingers
Danny raised a brow.
"That was weird. And the way she's looking at me right now seems kind of off. Nah, maybe I'm overthinking it..." He wondered, as the cute girl kept talking to him.
"Oh, forgive my manners, I'm new to this town and you're the first person I've talked to here. May I ask for your name?..."The girl said in a formal tone, as she sent him what could be described as a shy look.
"Um...I'm Danny. Danny Fenton..." Danny said, just to avoid being rude towards this pretty yet strange girl.
The girl sent him another smile, as if she found the person she was looking for. Or at least the bait she could use for her real target.
"So, this is him, huh? Finally..."The girl thought, before she sent him a charming smile and continued to act cute.
"Danny Fenton, enchanting to meet you..."The strange girl said, as she even did a curtsy giggle of all things. "My name is Ran, I'm visiting an old friend of mine in this town of yours and it's quite a lovely town indeed..."The girl, now identified as Ran said, still with that smile on her face.
The same fake smile that made Danny felt even more uneasy now. Especially when Ran started to slightly step close into his personal space.
The half ghost boy couldn't help feeling an unexplainable sense of wariness as he spoke to this girl, as if his gut was trying to tell him that something bad was going to happen.
